Puck woke up handcuffed to a hospital bed. Puck looked around the room and wondered how did he get here? Then he remembered he should not have raped the nephew of a police officer. Then after that he should not have made suggestive comments when she came to arrest me. That had been his mistake.
How did he end up here in the first place. He had been a bully before but he was different now. That is what he thought. He was friends with Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel and he had joined glee club. Puck was still a bad ass, Puck still said mean things sometimes. He stood up for himself like he always had. He just now stood up for his friends. And not just his football buddies his other friends like Kurt.
Then one day he was too late to stop Dave Karofsky and AZ Adams from ripping Kurt's costume. He had seen the boys walk away from Kurt. Puck saw the look on David's face before David walked away, he knew what that look was he now knew David's secret. Puck now knew what he could do to stop Dave and maybe his friends from hurting Kurt. If he done things differently that day, he could have comforted Kurt instead, maybe that is what he should have done. Puck followed David. He told David if he didn't stop picking on Kurt, he would tell everyone that David was gay, but if he stops picking on Kurt, Puck could get Kurt to like Dave. They could be friends and he would fix the two of them up. His plan could have worked. Puck had gone out with Rachel and he used to bully her. Puck and Finn had been mean to Kurt but now they were all friends. Kurt even had a crush on Finn so he should be able to get Kurt to like David, once David stopped being a bully.
The first part was easy enough, David had pretty much stopped bullying Kurt and AZ had too. Getting Kurt to like David has been a whole separate problem.
Puck thought if he had gotten Kurt to rejoin the football team or the Cheerios, it would be easier to get Kurt and Dave together especially the football team since Dave was on the team.
That was the second part of the plan but that didn't go so well. Maybe it was all Kevin's fault or more likely it was because Kurt was a stubborn Princess. He didn't want to be on the Cheerios because of the uniforms, it didn't help that the cheerleading coach is a bitch. Kurt didn't want to be on the football team again because Kurt didn't like football and the uniforms were not fashionable.
The Cheerios uniforms were not fashionable enough for Kurt either. Besides that all took way too much of his time away from working on sewing projects. Did Kurt really think he could be a fashion designer someday? His clothes were stupid and nobody was ever going to buy them.
Puck really did not understand Kurt. Maybe Kurt was just too different from him.
Then Kevin came along. Why couldn't Kevin have wanted to stay in the closet? Stay off the football team and date that girl who was always around Kevin. Puck could not remember her name right now but she was kind of hot. But no, Kevin decided to join the football team in the kicker position which could have been Kurt's. Kevin joined the glee club because he wanted to sing with Kurt. Puck could not let that happen. Not when Puck could do something, then Puck made the biggest mistake of his life.
