Hello everyone! Inkaliber here with another chapter of The Many Dates of a Ninja Turtle! I'm going to do my best to make the most of this month and make sure this story gets out to you guys faster! We've had some interesting dates so far, so let's keep things going. Let's keep this ball rolling by answering some reviews!

Quiet Reader: Yeah I liked that line ever since I heard it in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Yeah I figured it'd be good to give Casey some good ones, seeing as he's being real about himself. I got some help deciding Mabel's username seeing as I wanted it to match her. Not every date is going to be the crème of the crop. You're about to see what Mikey decides to rate this one at.

I figured it'd be funny to have Dipper be right about Mikey not being human, only to be way off on what he is. Casually eating on anything is definitely a Mikey thing to do. It's the next chapter so you're about to see if your guess is correct. As I said in my initial response, I'm hoping to update once per weekend this month. Yeah I just now realized that all of Mikey's dates so far started with the letter M, which honestly was totally unplanned.

Looks like that's everyone! On to the chapter! I don't own TMNT or any of the series that show up here. I do own original characters, items, concepts, and other such whatnot.

September 3, 2012

New York City, New York

Raph silently snuck back into the lair, making sure to go unseen. He didn't want the others to know that he was spying on Mikey's date. He would never live it down if they found out. He quietly made his way into the underground garage, making sure not to set off any equipment. He sighed in relief as he turned back into turtle form.

"And just where have you been?" asked a familiar voice. Raph stopped in his tracks, slowly turning around. Donnie popped up from under the Shellraiser, apparently having been in the process working on it.

"…I've been wandering around the sewers." Lied the hothead. "It's good to do patrols every now and again just in case all that fancy tech misses something." Donnie stood up, his face showing his doubt as one of his brows rose.

"Really? Then how come I didn't see you all day during your 'patrols'." Raph crossed his arms, immediately coming up with a comeback.

"You did. Just like I didn't see you sneak off during grounding last month to show April your new human look." Donnie jerked, surprised by the shot that was fired. "You say nothing, and I say nothing." The genius nodded in response.

"Deal." The sound of muffled yelling filled the air, breaking their concentration. They walked over to the living room, watching as Mikey walked in. The yelling was coming from a bag he had slumped over his shoulder, the container being hit all around as a result. Leo walked into the room, sharing the duo's look of concern.

"Please tell me you didn't kidnap your date." Begged the leader. "That would be a big security risk, not to mention very concerning." Mikey shook his head in denial.

"Nope." Reassured the youngest. "It's a creature that was gonna shoot my date with a dart as she was leaving. Figured I'd bring him here instead of letting him do all the bad stuff he monologued about. Got that Squirrelinoid cage Donnie?" The genius tilted his head in confusion, only to head for the lab.

Soon the blonde dumped his find into the aforementioned cage. Quickly shutting it before he could escape. His brothers jerked back in shock as the gnome shook the bars.

"Stay away from Mabel Pines!" roared the creature. "She's mine! My gnome queen! Forget all five thousand of my brethren!" The trio looked to Mikey as he banged the cage with his fist.

"Not happening Gnome-monger!... Get it? Because he looks like a garden gnome… I didn't ask for his name!" Raph rubbed his head over his scalp, groaning all the while.

"Okay, you're gonna have to explain this." Moaned the red turtle. "What the heck happened after you… left." Mikey shrugged as he looked to the hothead.

"I had my date with Mabel, as Gnome-monger pointed out. We hit it off well, but I asked something that made things awkward. Not gonna disclose for personal reasons. Anyway, she also seemed to be in her own world as she immediately ran to a lot of stores that I really wasn't interested in." The brothers winced a bit, not liking where this was going.

Thankfully the blonde's smile calmed their nerves. "We talked it out before going for a moonlight walk. Then her protective twin brother showed up thinking I'm a vampire. Fired a wooden stake at me and everything, though Mabel and I stopped him from doing something crazy." Leo and Donnie looked between each other, serious frowns on their faces.

"That… sounds like a rough night." Commented Leo. "How are you going to rate this one?" Mikey shrugged as he shook his head.

"Probably an 8. It was the worst so far, but it wasn't terrible. Maybe we just needed time to get used to each other without the awkward air. We'll see how it goes by the end of the month." The gnome growled as he shook the bars again.

"First off, my name is Jeff! Second off, as if a loser like you has a shot with Mabel! You're just an ugly, freakish, thick-headed BLEEP!!" Mikey frowned, not exactly liking the creature's words even if he didn't fully understand the insult. He suddenly stopped in his tracks as his brothers began putting off a terrifying aura.

"Donnie?" questioned Raph. "You mind if I give this thing my own look over? I know I'm not a science guy, but I have a hankering to study biology." Mikey tilted his head, confused by his brother's decision. Donnie slowly nodded his head.

"Sure thing." Accepted the genius. "Just make sure you sterilize my equipment. You might also want to turn on the sound dampeners. Some of my equipment is messed up so it can be pretty loud." Jeff gulped as Leo quickly began to usher Mikey along.

"Come on Mikey." Ordered the leader. "You still gotta rate your date." Mikey gasped in realization, not seeing that the gnome was now pleading for him to stop.

"Right dude!" realized the goofball. "Thanks for reminding me!" The boy quickly ran ahead of the duo. Both departing older brothers glared back at Jeff before they shut the door. Raph turned on a strange spherical device before banging his hand on the top of the cage.

"Welcome to New York City." Greeted the hothead in mock cheerfulness. "My name is Dr. Raphael. I have a PhD in pain. I'd tell ya to relax, but Donnie seems to have misplaced the anesthetics so…" Jeff screamed as the turtle opened the cage, only to be grabbed by his throat as he was pulled out of it.

Oblivious to the terror the gnome was undergoing, Mikey began to type in his review of his date with Mabel. Sticking by what he said, he rated the overall date at an 8. Once again, he made sure not to go too far into detail. He only mentioned how both he and the mystery girl made it awkward. He finished the input, watching as it waited to process.

"WHAT IS HAPPENING IN HERE!?" cried the voice of April. He ran into the room, watching as the redhead cradled her head while Casey held her shoulders. "I can hear the mental screams of a man in pain! Where is that!?" Splinter walked into the room, quickly looking to Donnie and Leo.

"Find out where this is coming from!" ordered the old master. "This could be a threat to the lair and…" Leo quickly walked over Splinter, a serious look on his face.

"We know what it is." Answered the leader. "It's… uh…" He quickly pulled the trio into a huddle, confusing Mikey as a result. The blonde could see the rat master's ears twitch rapidly, a sign that he was quite agitated. He stood straight as he nodded his head.

"I see. Well then, April, there is some Advil in the medicine cabinet. I shall go make sure Raphael is not making a mess of the lair. Without Donatello's knowledge or proper laboratory etiquette, this is going to be quite… unpleasant." Something about that comment made Mikey's entire shell shiver as Splinter walked over to Donnie's lab, making sure to keep his body in the way of any line of sight.

"I'll… go get the Advil." Offered Donnie. "I'll be back as quickly as possible." April nodded gratefully, both her and Casey sharing a furious frown. The redhead shook her head as she tried to fight off the mental pains. She looked to Mikey as she tried to smile.

"So… how'd the date go?" questioned the resident psychic. "Was it good?" The goofball slowly nodded his head, trying to get over all the sudden violence in the lair.

"It was okay." Answered Mikey. "We both made it kinda awkward though. I rated it at an 8. How'd your date go Casey?" The hokey player continued to frown towards the lab, only to smile Mikey's way as April elbowed him in the ribs.

"It was pretty good actually." Revealed Casey. "Her name was Sasha, and she was definitely my kind of girl. She read my profile beforehand and asked me about my hokey games. We definitely hit it off at the rink, where she kicked my butt on several occasions. I'm not ashamed to admit it either."

The two present turtles smiled for the human vigilante. "Definitely gonna be my first nine. Gotta see where the rest of this service goes first before I pick the one." The duo nodded, proud of his decision. Donnie quickly came back in his human form, carrying a glass of water in one hand and some medicine in the other.

"Here you go April." Offered the genius. "I had to make sure the water was purified." April nodded her head with a smile as she quickly took the Advil. "I'll make sure to move the strange creature at a later date." Mikey furrowed his brow before suddenly gasping.

"I forgot to check who my next date will be!" cried the goofball. "'Scuze me!" He quickly ran into his room, the others soon to follow. Mikey moved his mouse around to try to make his screen pop back up. He quickly clicked on a pop-up notification, revealing his next date.

Type of Person I'm Looking For: A cute boy.

"…And I thought that GlitterHeart girl was childish." Commented Casey. "Yellow hair? Not even mentioning what type of boys she's looking for other than 'cute'? Maybe you should ask for a reroll or something." Mikey shook his head in denial.

"Even if I wanted to, this looks like her first date." Replied Mikey. "There are no reviews and rerolls are based on people with bad reviews on them or folks who are way out of my date range." Leo shrugged as he tried to think positively.

"Well… Mabel didn't seem so bad from what you said." Reassured the lead turtle. "Maybe this will be the same." Donnie hummed as he leaned forwards.

"I heard some crazy science stuff goes down on Genius Road, hence the name." revealed the genius. "Maybe she just felt a need to dumb it down because she's dealt with a lot of idiots." April gave him a soft frown as she shook her head.

"Only one way to find out." Interrupted the redhead girl. "It says here that the date is at a… SirRonaldos? That's a fast-food restaurant geared towards kids. Either she's really childish or she's trying to pull something." Mikey shrugged, not sure what to think.

"Well… I better catch some z's before I have to see her tomorrow." Bemused Mikey. "Goodnight!" The others nodded their heads as they slowly filtered out of the room. Mikey closed his computer before lying down. If he had kept it open longer, he would have noticed a review with a rating of 1 pop up on this "DeeDee's" record.

The Next Day

Mikey ran across rooftops once again, a bouquet of pink roses strapped to his back. He once again did his descent maneuver as he made his way to the ground. Turning human, he quickly walked out into the opening. He felt nervous as he pulled the flowers out from the strange sheath he made. The sight of the date location… did not make him feel better.

SirRonaldos was as April described: a fast-food restaurant. Its child-oriented approach was made clear by the statue of a knight made out of fruit. There was a play maze that climbed up to the ceiling of the visible room, a few children appearing to be crying as they couldn't find their way out. He gulped, not liking his odds. He soon spotted his date amongst the crowd.

She had blonde hair pulled into pigtails and blue eyes. She wore a brink pink colored small tutu, white pantyhose, and pink ballet pumps. Her Project Aphrodite pin was on full display… upside-down. Her limbs looked to be a bit longer than the average human's, not to mention her torso looked rather small. Steeling himself, Mikey began the approach with a benefit of the doubt.

"Um… are you DeeDee?" asked the boy. The girl turned his way, only to sound her interest as she stood on her tiptoes. She returned to standing normally as she nodded her head.

"You're cuter than Koosy said the boys I meet might be!" cheered the blonde girl. "I'm DeeDee!" Mikey winced a bit, doing his best not to show his discomfort.

"I…I'm Mikey. These are for you." The girl immediately took the flowers from him, giving them a big sniff.

"Pink! My favorite! Thank you, Mike!" Mikey felt the need to correct her, but she quickly did a pirouette as she turned around. "I'm hungry!"

The girl then proceeded to walk goofily towards the entrance to the restaurant, her ballet slippers squeaking and popping with each step. She pulled on the handle, the one clearly meant for pushing, grunting as she continued to try. "It's stuck! But I want a Ronnie meal!" Mikey groaned, slumping in annoyance.

"This is gonna be a long day, isn't it?" Deciding to just get today over with, the boy quickly came to his dunce of a date's aide as he pushed the door open. He did his best not to be seen with this annoying girl as they quickly ordered their food. He just got a burger and fries, something cheap that he would hopefully be reimbursed for. He and Deedee soon sat in the play area, the boy earning some winces from a few of the adults that saw them together.

Mikey cleared his throat, trying to get his date's attention. "So… uh… DeeDee?" The girl looked up from playing with her kids' toy, the dopiest smile on her face. "Um… what's it like living on Genius Road? My brother says some crazy stuff happens there." The girl shrugged as she looked back to her toy.

"Other than my brother's shiny lab nothing ever seems crazy to me. I usually just ask Koosy to take me to Koosland whenever he starts rambling or Mom and Dad start saying complicated stuff." Mikey gulped a bit, still not liking his chances.

"And… um… what is Koosland? I tried looking it up, but I couldn't find anything." The girl gained this childish grin as she gestured all around her.

"Koosland is the bestest theme park in the world! I just think of going there and boom! I'm there! Of course, I still hear everybody, but it all just ends up as stuff like this: 'blah blah blah blah blah.'" Mikey shrank into his seat, feeling worse and worse about this date.

'So… she's either on some kind of spectrum or is seriously trapped with the mind of a five-year-old. Maybe I should just call her folks and tell them to come pick her up. Now I know how the guys feel whenever I do something they think is stupid.' "Oh…" The girl ignored him as she suddenly stood up.

"I'm done! Let's go play in the maze!" Mikey began to panic as he noticed a few of the mothers in the area were looking rather concerned. If there was one thing Casey and April warned him about, it was to never upset any mothers in the area. He quickly grabbed her hand as he shook his head.

"W…we should totally go somewhere else! There's another part of town that my friend says has the best ice cream shop." His tactic thankfully worked as DeeDee perked up.

"ICE CREAM! I love ice cream! Let's go!" She let out a cry of "Whee!" as she ran for the door of the restaurant. "I can't get it to open!"

"I am so sorry for you." Apologized one of the men in the room. "I'd ask for a refund if this was my first date." Mikey groaned as he stood up, making sure to retrieve his half-eaten meal and DeeDee's untouched food to throw away. He had to try and find ways to stall her as they made their way across town. Along the way, he learned some startling information.

Apparently, she had used her actual name for her account name, something even he knew was stupid to do online. Then there was the fact that she used her father's credit card to sign up for the service, most likely without his permission. There was also the fact that her folks probably didn't even know that she was here. According to her she was supposed to be in school right now. By the time they were halfway across the block, he decided that this date needed to end as soon as possible.

"So… um… what's your home phone number? If your phone dies, I might have to call someone to pick you up." He really hoped that no one would think he was being sly or conniving with this question. He really needed to get ahold of this girl's parents. She pulled out a phone from her pocket, handing it to the boy.

"Just use my phone! If I need to get home Koosy will help me!" Mikey retrieved the phone, only to faulter as he realized it was a toy. He opened it up, only to realize that there was a sticky note with a phone number inside. He sighed in relief as he leaned back a bit.

"Finally! I had enough of being the smart person for the day!" Mikey quickly dialed the number into his T-phone. He held the device up to his ear as he continued to follow after DeeDee, using the squeaks of her slippers to follow her. The other end quickly picked up.

"Hello?" answered a young man. Mikey winced, not expecting who he assumed to be her brother to answer. He steeled himself as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Hey there. Are your parents' home?" He crossed his fingers behind his back, thankful that DeeDee seemed to be lost in her own world again.

"No. They are at work. This is my personal phone. I am in school, which is nearing its daily end, so please make this quick." Mikey nearly groaned as he shook his head. Still, that must mean this kid is pretty smart if he snuck his number into the toy phone.

"Well, could you call them or give me one of their numbers? I think your sister snuck off on her own. She's with me right now and I'm trying to keep her out of trouble…. LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING THE STREET!" DeeDee suddenly came to a stop, sounding her remembrance as she began looking both ways down a street with heavy traffic.

"I cannot believe she did this again! Where are you!?" Mikey sighed, thankful that something was being done.

"Well… it's kind of a long story. See I'm part of this dating service and apparently, she's in it too. We're here in New York City, Time Square. I think she might have used your dad's card and…" He heard a rising growl on the other end of the phone.

"WHAT!? She ended up all the way in New York!? She will be in so much trouble when Mother and Father find out! I will be there immediately!" Mikey frowned as he shook his free hand.

"No-no! Just call your parents so they can call the police and… He hung up. Just perfect." Soon realizing that DeeDee was getting ahead of him, the boy quickly hopped across car roofs to catch up to her.

"Where's the ice cream?" questioned the blonde girl. "I want strawberry ice cream." Mikey looked nervous as he nodded his head.

"A… almost there. Don't worry. I know these streets like the back of my hand. It's just around this…" The blonde came to a stop, a feeling of dread washing over him.

At the edge of a street, three ominously identical men were seen loading a truck with tech. It was very clear that these machines were alien in origin. One word came to mind as he got in a ready stance. "Kraang." The blonde quickly grabbed DeeDee, holding her back as he tried to remain unseen.

"Kraang." Began one of the disguised aliens. "Move the components a minimal distance in the left direction. Kraang must make adequate space for which to store the power source." Mikey frowned, realizing that the villains were trying to obtain parts for some kind of machine. He was about to convince his date that they should go elsewhere, only for the familiar sound of plopping to cause him distress.

The Kraang looked in the other blonde's direction as she made her way down the alley. The three Kraang looked her way as she stopped in front of them. They tilted their heads as she looked to them innocently.

"Excuse me." Asked the girl. "Do you know the way to the ice cream place? I hear it has the bestest ice cream ever!" Mikey mentally swore 'sewer apples' as he tried to find a way to get his failed date out of the Kraang's view. The aliens looked over her with their own form of confusion.

"Kraang has been compromised by and adolescent human female." Began one of the other Kraang. "Subject appears to be low intellect, far beyond that of the average adolescent human." The third Kraang looked between its colleagues in confusion.

"Perhaps the adolescent female is too inferior of mind to speak of this moment for which Kraang has been discovered." Suggested the alien. "Kraang is on that which the humans call 'a tight schedule.'" The Kraang in front of the girl did not seem to share his companions' opinion as he pulled out what looked to be a small ray gun.

"That which is known as 'gossip' knows no limits in intelligence." Denied the lead Kraang. "Human adolescent, you are about to be removed from this place in which you have located Kraang, permanently." DeeDee seemed to be ignoring the obvious threat as she turned away.

"Thanks anyway!" cheered the clueless girl. "Bye-bye!" Mikey began to freak out as the energy in the blaster charged. He was about to move to stop the attack, only for something unbelievable happen. The top half of the lead Kraang was suddenly bit clean off by something he couldn't see, the alien inside being taken with it.

"Unknown enemy detected!" roared one of the remaining Kraang. "Predatory animal at large! Destroy the human adolescent and…" The villain was suddenly stomped on by something, a massive lizard-like footprint cracked into the dirt as the alien was splattered. The remaining Kraang put away his weapon as he looked to the truck.

"As the humans would exclaim, 'Screw this!'" cried the evil creature. "Kraang must deliver the components that are required for the project to the secret location which is to remain unknown to all but Kraang!" The alien quickly got into the van, only for the vehicle to be picked up by the invisible creature. The unknown creature began to warp reality itself, the object in its grasp fazing in and out of existence. The Kraang burst out of the suit of the machine it was riding, screaming in terror as it tried to find a way out.

Mikey watched in disbelief as the Kraang, the components, and the van suddenly ceased to exist, at least on this plane of reality. He stepped out from his hiding spot, trying to see whatever caused the destruction of the villains. He felt his skin crawl as a giant, scaly yellow hand appeared, giving him a thumbs up. It was soon followed by a giant dragon head with a large pink nose wearing glasses and a bowler hat, the creature shooshing him before fully disappearing once more. Mikey felt scared for his life as DeeDee walked up to him.

"Those guys were really nice." Commented the ditz. "I just wish they knew where the ice cream place is." Mikey slowly looked her way as he managed to form a shaky smile.

"I… I think it's close by." Reassured the hidden turtle. "Don't… don't worry about that." His date cheered like a child as she began to walk in the direction they were originally heading. They soon reached the promised ice cream shop. Mikey kept a close eye on the surrounding area, making sure no other surprises decided to appear.

"I love strawberries!" Mikey looked over as DeeDee walked towards him, licking her desert. "This is the bestest date ever!" Mikey chuckled awkwardly, not sure what to say. His train of thought was cut off as the sound of jet engines filled the air.

"DeeDee!" cried a familiar voice. Mikey looked up, only to gawk as a redhead boy around his age in glasses and laboratory attire floated towards them in a flying machine. "You stole father's card and joined a dating service!? They told you no when you asked to join!" The girl in question shook her head, clearly in denial.

"No, they didn't! They said I could. Daddy left his wallet on the table for me and everything." Mikey slumped over, exasperated by all that had transpired so far. He regained his composure as he looked to his date.

"You better get home." Began the hidden turtle. "I bet your folks are worried about you. Plus, you don't wanna be late for supper." He really hoped that this would work and get DeeDee out of his hair. It thankfully worked as she gasped, holding the sides of her head.

"It's cupcake night! Thanks for reminding me Mike!" She gave him a big wet kiss on the cheek before turning back to the machine. "Bye-bye!" The ditz then tiptoed a bit before jumping into Dexter's vehicle.

"I apologize for my sister's idiocy." Apologized the child genius. "Rest assured that after Mother and Father ground her, she will most likely never bother you again. In fact, she might even forget she ever met you. I can only assume by your rising expression of hope that this outcome is for the best." Mikey sighed as he nodded his head.

"Just make sure you get her home safely." Replied the ninja. "Here's her toy phone. How'd you find us so fast anyways?" The genius took the device from Mikey, the local boy only just now realizing that the toy was beeping. The redhead gave the toy back to DeeDee, who began to push in the interactive buttons.

"There is a tracking device inside the phone. It was actually wise of you to keep holding onto it instead of giving it back to her. Now, as my dopey sister has stated, Mother was planning to make cupcakes. Au revoir!" In an instant, the hover vehicle took off into the sky.

Mikey groaned as he slumped forward once again, allowing himself to wipe the kiss off his face. Finally, he could leave this date behind him. He slumped his way over to the nearby alleyways, the stress of the day wearing heavily on him.

'Worst date ever. Still, at least she's safe and not disintegrated by Kraang.' Mikey began to reach for a visible manhole cover, only to bump into something. He slowly looked up as he realized the invisible creature was still present. "Um… I didn't say anything out loud… did I?"

His question was answered with a hearty chuckle, the invisible creature sounding like a cartoon character. He suddenly found himself in a gentle hold as he was lifted into the air. "If you're gonna eat me, you should know that I'll give you salmonella!" The dragon's head became visible again, a childish smile on its face. For some reason this smile put the boy at ease.

"Why would I eat a nice boy like you?" questioned the floating dragon head. "You made my favorite person in the whole wide world's day special, even if you weren't interested in her. With that much kindness in the face of discomfort and danger, you deserve a special gift." The dragon began to glow, revealing a plump humanoid body that was hidden from plain sight. Mikey suddenly felt an energy fill him as the light overtook his vision.

He soon found himself on the ground, shielding his eyes. He removed his arm, revealing that he was back where he had first arrived for his date. He looked to the clock on his T-phone, realizing that he had not gone back in time. He soon felt a sudden wind pressure as trash and debris were flung out of the alleyway. "Keep making the world a better place, little warrior!"

With a bigger gust of wind, the dragon apparently left the area, the power lines even shifting to reveal his flight path. Mikey continued to pat at his chest, not believing that this happened at all. He reached into his pocket, pulling out the receipt for the ice cream.

"This… has been… the weirdest day of my life. The dragon was cool though." Mikey decided to just get on with it as he lifted a nearby manhole cover, the object apparently being very loose. "Looks like this one is made out of some lighter stuff."

The blonde quickly dove into the sewers, allowing the manhole cover to return to its place in the ground. He turned back into turtle form, being slightly shaded by the tunnel. He rushed home, running faster than he was normally known for. All of this was unknown to him as he continued on his way. A slight pressure would cause a breeze behind him.

If Mikey would have bothered to look back, he would have seen that orange lightning trailed behind him.

Next time on The Many Dates of a Ninja Turtle

Wild Butterflies

So… that was date number 4. Gonna be honest I did not expect myself to write the stuff with DeeDee's imaginary friend at the end. I surprised myself with what I did. Still, I feel like I made things interesting. Only time will tell what kind of overall affect this has on Mikey. Oh, and congrats to Quiet Reader for once again guessing correctly as to who Mikey's date will be.

Anyway, what did you think about the chapter? How bad would you say this date was, in terms of a scale from 1 to 10? How about Mikey suddenly being gifted some unknown power by a creature that technically doesn't exist? Let me know what you think in a review or comment down below and let me know who you think Mikey's next date will be. This is Inkaliber, signing off.
