Blue Dragon Boy Hire for Protection
Shin arrives at the Advanced Magic Academy with his grandparents in the carriage for the opening ceremony.
"Be sure you tell no one about the uniform you made, all right, Shin?" Melinda reminded him, after last night when Shin showed her what he done to his uniform was utterly shock to her and Merlin when he found out too.
"Right, I get it." Shin nodded.
Then some of the new students have notices Merlin and Melinda wearing their highest order capes realizing who they are and runs toward them for autographs and such for those crazy fans. Much to the annoyance of the elder magicians.
Shin was surprise of the many students coming to greet the fashion elders and was lucky he got himself out of there, or push out, as they don't know about him being their grandson yet as he made his way inside the building.
"Hey Shin, nervous about the speech?" August asked walking up to him.
"Nah, I should be okay." Shin answered.
"Good, because my father, the king, will be watching as will the rest of the country's nobility and leading figures." August informed putting his arm around Shin's shoulder.
"We're all looking forward to a great speech from our new top student." August smirked.
"I see you. You're trying to get back at me for taking the top spot, right?" Shin said.
"Oh, Shin, it looks like we'll be sharing the same class." Juvia excited as she walks with Maria and Sizilien.
"Talk about fate bring us together, bet this school year is going to like a big adventure." Maria commented.
"I'm sure it'll be great." Sizilien smiled looking at Shin who smiles back.
(Entrance Ceremony Hall)
"Please welcome our newest class." The examinee woman announced as Shin and his classmates are walking to their seats as everyone in the hall claps for them.
"Make sense that Sizilien and Juvia are nobility, but Maria? Who'd seen that coming." Shin surprised.
"Keep your opinions to yourself." Maria said making Sizilien giggles.
"And now, with us the Headmistress of the Advanced Magic Academy, Irene Belserion!" The examinee woman called out.
"Belserion, that's the same last name of yours." Shin noticed.
"Yep, you're about to meet my mother." Juvia nodded shocking Shin as they see the woman walking up the stage.
This is Irene Belserion, she is a tall, voluptuous woman with thickly braided, bow-adorned, scarlet hair. Her two front braids have two golden ornaments near the upper sections; she also wears two U-shaped earrings (one on each ear) and wears red lipstick. She wears a risqué version of the typical witch's garb. Her black top has a diamond-shaped opening, exposing a portion of her breasts, and a heart-shaped pattern around the borders. It extends down to the naval of her stomach where it meets a large angular scar, is draped over by a dark-colored cape with a light-colored inside and two medallion gold-like ornaments, and is held together by a golden chain. Not left bare, too, her neck is decorated by other small cloth-based accessories, including a wide bow. Additionally, Irene wears an elongated black loincloth with the symbol of the Earlshide Kingdom emblazoned on its front, having white borders on its edges and being connected to another cloth piece with the very same heart-shaped design. She also wears black thigh-high boots with heels that have a white-colored border near the top and gloves of the same color and design, only having claw-like extensions. Her black witch's hat is much larger than her head and possesses dreadlock designs with white bandaging near its ends. It also has a fur lining near its edges. She holds a staff taller than her and shape like divided into two large, inwardly curved antlers near the top. Breasts sizes: M-cup.
"(Holy dragon soul, she's huge!)" Shin mentally gasped upon seeing the woman's breasts and almost nosebleed.
"Hello everyone, it is with great honor to welcome the new students here to learn about the wonders of magic and discover something they never thought or experience which I'm sure will be both. Here, I promise to do the very best of Headmistress of this school to guide the students to the right path and become something greater than they realize for hearts of magic has no limits!" Irene smiled raising her staff and everyone claps.
"Wow, that was great." Shin impressed with the speech.
"Mother always know how to use the right words, and I'm sure your speech will be just as great." Juvia encouraged Shin to do his best.
"Now, without further ado, a speech from our new student who got the highest score of the entrance exam close to mine, Shin Wolford." Irene announced.
"Thanks." Shin said as he gets and walk to the stage as Sizilien and Maria are shock.
"Wait, did I hear that right?" Maria asked.
"That you did, his last name is "Wolford" for he's the hero's grandson." August revealed.
"Juvia knew about before the exam with my sister." Juvia mentioned causing the two girls to gasp.
The students chatter to each other about the shocking revelation of Shin being related to the Wiseman Merlin and the Guru Melinda.
"I'm looking forward to see the kind of mighty dragon you are." Irene winked making Shin confuse and blush a little.
Shin pulls himself together and get on with his speech.
"My name is Shin Wolford, thank you for coming today. I think I speak for everyone in this class when I say it's an honor and a joy to be welcomed into this great institution as our parents, guardians, and friends looks on with pride." Shin said.
While Shin gives the speech, one new student Kurt glares at Shin with an extreme anger expression for finding out not only was he outdone by this guy, but he is also THE Merlin's grandson and didn't like him even more.
(S-Class Classroom)
"You made it, well done. I'm the S-Class's homeroom teacher, Alfred Marcus." Alfred introduced himself.
"I used to be a magician with the court magic division. Which means I'll also be your Practical Arts teachers. As for today, I'll lay out the upcoming schedule, and we'll call it good." Alfred said.
Minutes later, Shin is about to head out until Maria and Sizilien who has a very sad and worry look on her face ask him to come outside of the classroom for a talk.
"Wait, some due's hounding you, Sizilien? You're kidding me!" Shin shocked of what he just heard.
"Shut up, you're being too loud!" Maria pointed out and Shin apologizes.
"Sizilien kept trying to let him down nicely, but now he's taking advantage of his family's influence to threaten her." Maria explained.
"I already hate the guy. So, who is he, anyway?" Shin asked.
"He's a student at this school." Maria answered.
"Seriously?!" Shin shocked as he remembers August explaining that the academy does not allow nobility students to use their titles here and make demands.
"Sorry to spring this on you. Thanks a lot for hearing me out." Sizilien thanked.
"Well yeah, of course, and don't be sorry. I'm glad you told me." Shin said and then his nose picks up a familiar scent and look behind Sizilien.
"Hey Sizilien, how dare you talk to another man in public! Turn around at once, you will look at me when I'm talking to you." Kurt demanded.
"Kurt's the guy?" Shin asked glaring.
Kurt was about to touch Sizilien's arm, but Shin threw a 'light' punch on the face making Kurt stumble back a foot or two.
"What do you think you're doing?" Kurt asked.
"Protecting an innocent girl from creeps like you." Shin glared.
"Sizilen is my betrothed, fool! Stay away!" Kurt yelled.
"That's not true, right?" Shin asked but Sizilien is so scared right now that she couldn't bring out the words to answer.
"You'll be okay. Whatever happens, the Sapphire Dragon will protect you, my princess." Shin said with a kind smile.
That with the words only have calm Sizilien down from her fears and found the courage to stand up for herself.
"I have declined your proposal multiple times now! But you won't accept that, you keep harassing me and claiming we're engaged, you fucking fool!" Sizilen yelled at Kurt.
"(Whoa, I never seen Sizilien yell like that before.)" Maria thought surprised.
"What? How dare you talk to me like that?" Kurt angered.
"If you don't like how I talk, talk to someone else!" Sizilien said bravely.
"It would be wise to listen to the young lady." Irene's voice advised.
Kurt jump in fear and slowly turns around staring at the empty hallway, then Irene started appearing right before his eyes as they shake in fear.
"H-Headmistress Irene…?!" Kurt stuttered.
"Kurt, I believe you were warned about using your authority in this school. You will punish according to the rules, not to mention how much shame you have brought to your family's name." Irene glared as her eyes glow red.
"No, no, please… I promise to behave." Kurt gulped and sweating a bit.
"You better because if I find you and hear word of you causing trouble again, then expulsion will be cake walk compare what I'll do to you." Irene threatened with a scary smile and emitting her powerful magic aura.
Kurt nods his head slowly and walk away from the scene heading back home.
"Thank you so much, Headmistress Irene." Sizilien thanked.
"Yeah, I was about to lose my cool on that guy." Shin said.
"If that were to happen, I would have to give you both detentions. Glad I step in after Sizilien stood up for herself." Irene smiled.
"Wait, you were watching the whole time?" Shin asked surprise.
"Whatever happens, the Sapphire Dragon will protect you, my princess." August repeated Shin's words as he and Juvia reveal themselves.
"August? Juvia? You two were watching?" Shin gasped.
"Juvia apologies for the spying, but the way you said sounds like a brave hero." Juvia giggled.
"A heroic dragon in this case, doesn't that look good on him, Sizilien?" August asked while Shin blushes.
"Oh, uh, if I had to answer then yes, he did look good." Sizilien said blushing too.
"Y-Yeah, I kinda thought you were cool too." Maria admitted
"(My god, they are so fucking cute!)" Shin thought blushed.
"Well, I'll be heading back to my office. Enjoy the rest of your days." Irene walked away, while swaying her hips for Shin to see which he did.
Shin thought that Kurt will still try to bother Sizilien again, then he got an idea to help her and invited her along with the others here to come over to his house along with August's escorts, Julius von Littenheim and Thor von Flegel, much to the prince's annoyance.
(Wolford House)
"Headmistress Irene, what are you doing here?" Shin asked shock to see Irene is at the house sitting with his grandparents and the king.
"I just remembered that I already finish some work there, so I decided to pay my old mentor, Lady Melinda, a visit." Irene explained as she drinks her tea. This shocks Shin to the core.
"Yes, I trained her as my student, and she became a powerful witch that surpasses even me. And I'm proud to see you doing well, even being a Headmistress of a school." Melinda complimented.
"Oh stop, you're embarrassing me." Irene giggled.
"I see you're here as well, Erza." Juvia said to her older twin sister.
"Mother brought me here believing you would come, and she was right." Erza walked to her younger twin sister.
"So, you in the knight classes." Maria glared.
"Yes, so what?" Erza asked.
"Nothing, nothing at all." Maria looked away.
"Anyway, granny, grandpa, let me introduces you to my new classmates. As you might know, this is Aug, Maria, Juvia, and Sizilien. Those two guys are Thor and Juilus." Shin introduced his classes as most gasp like they've been turned to stone.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." August greeted as the others greeted he elders nervous but polite.
"Well, now the introduction is out of the way, we can get to the part about you punching a fellow freshman student." Melinda glared scaring Shin.
"Irene already explained to us what happened, she also mentioned you wanted to protect Sizilien." Merlin said.
"Yes, I was hoping Granny would let me rewrite the enchantment on her uniform." Shin said shocking his classmates.
"Mother, I thought something like that was impossible." Erza confused.
"Perhaps no one ever thought about doing it until now when I looked at his uniform. Your grandson is quite unique." Irene complimented.
"Yes, uniquely a pain to deal with at time." Melinda sighed and look at Sizilien.
"Sizilien, right? The enchantment Shin wishes to give you is exceptionally powerful. It seems my grandson is quite intent on keeping you safe, do you think yourself worthy of his protection?" Melinda asked.
"I hadn't really consider that." Sizilien said.
"I think you're being too hard on her." Shin stated.
"You be quiet." Melinda yelled a bit making Shin flinch.
"Do you have any clue what's become of your uniform, Shin? Can you guess its worth now?" Melinda asked.
"I know I improved it." Shin said not sure where this is going.
"You made your uniform into a Treasure Grade Protective Gear, the highest and strongest gear known to the world." Irene revealed shocking the students.
"They are also very expensive too, and Shin here is willing to give you free of charge. So, Sizilien, are you really worthy of having that kind of gear on you?" Irene asked.
"I'm sorry, I'm kinda nervous about responding but… I think I am worthy." Sizilien admitted as she starts crying.
"I've taken advantage of Shin's kindness. I see that now. I told him about this because I knew he'd try to help, I preyed on his sympathy." Sizilien confessed.
"Considering how strong he is, I can see why you'd turn to him." Melinda said.
"This doesn't involve Shin, but he was still willing to help. He said he would protect me. I shouldn't have dragged him into this, but it made me happy." Sizilien said.
"That's not fair! I was" Maria stopped when Erza place a hand on her shoulder, telling her to let Sizilien speak her mind.
"I'm sorry for the trouble Shin. I'll find a way to take care of this myself. I apologize to you as well, Lady Melinda." Sizilien apologized and about to run off.
"Hold on." Melinda said stopping Sizilien from leaving. "Had you eagerly accepted the gift without a second thought, I think I would've thrown you out of here." She smiled shocking Sizilien.
"But you were honest with yourself, and with us. Renouncing the chance to obtain your very own national treasure. That isn't something most people could walk away from." Melinda stated.
"But I tried to manipulate Shin!" Sizilien pointed out.
"Oh honey, you did more than try. I think it's cute, the way you turned to him." Melinda complimented.
"As for Shin's part, he doesn't know what you've done. Just look at him, you got the boy all worked up on your behalf." Melinda said.
"Yeah, I am worked up." Shin punted.
"Sizilien, I don't feel like you played me at all. I offered to help you of my own initiative. So, don't doubt my intentions, okay? You're welcome to use me just as often as you want." Shin smiled.
"Do you mean that?" Sizilien asked and surprise to be hug by Melinda.
"I'm sorry for putting you through that test, but it was necessary. I had to be completely sure of your good intentions." Melinda apologized and Sizilien started to cry.
"Juvia is glad that everything worked out in the end." Juvia sighed in relief.
"Same old Melinda, she can never fully trust others if she doesn't test them out first just to be sure." Irene chuckled.
"She sure is." Merlin nodded.
"Now I think it's time we talk about something else before Shin gets to improving Sizilien's uniform." Irene said getting everyone's attention.
"Shin, being a Dragon Slayer means you have a powerful nose that can sense things that others can't and I'm sure you notice something me and my daughters." Irene pointed out.
"You're right, the smell is familiar to my own, you three have the scent of dragons." Shin exposed causing his classmates to gasp and the adults are calm.
"That's right, we too are Dragon Slayers just like you." Irene revealed as Erza and Juvia nod.

Shin has now started being Sizilien's protector and her granny exposes her intention along with the honesty in the young girl's heart, but what's more shocking is that Shin along with the others in the room have just found out that Irene, Erza, and Juvia are Dragon Slayers too as they will be explain in the next chapter.
