Birth of the Ultimate Lost Magic Study Group
Shin has started his first day of escorting Sicily and Maria to school as the bodyguard to protect them from bad boys like Kurt while using his magic senses.
"(I haven't picked up anything abnormal with my search magic yet.)" Shin thought being extra careful despite everything looking peaceful now.
Sicily wakes up to Shin just to thank him and being closer is just so he can hear her thank him.
"Thanks, Shin, and sorry." Sicily thanked and apologized as well which got Shin's attention.
"For making you come all the way to my house just to make sure I get to school safely." Sicily explained about her thanks.
"Yeah, that sure was kind of you even when you wanted to come to my house to pick me up too." Maria recalled that Shin wanted to visit Maria's house to escort her too.
"I was happy to do it, you two are the first friends I made since coming to this city. And with a Gate, getting to your houses won't be a problem at all." Shin stated.
"You two are very important to me." Shin said making Sicily and Maria blush.
"Besides, I refuse to stand by when there's a chance you two could be in more danger. That isn't me." Shin said strongly trying to look cool.
"Sorry, Shin, but that line way too cheesy." Maria deadpanned making Shin gasp.
"I think it was very sweet." Sicily said with an innocent smile making Shin smile.
"Seriously?" Maria asked with a sweatdrop.
(Advanced Magic Academy)
"See you after school, Erza." Juvia waved goodbye to Erza who is walking to her knight class.
"You do well in your classes." Erza said.
Juvia keeps waving a bit longer until she could no longer see her twin sister and saw Shin coming in with Sicily and Maria.
"Good morning, ready for our first full day of school?" Juvia asked exciting.
"You bet we are!" Maria smirked.
Juvia joined the small group on their way to their classroom where August is waiting inside the classroom.
"Ah, good morning, Shin. Already coming to school with girls after burning their hearts to you in tow, I see. And so soon after enrolling." August grinned teasing causing all three girls to blush.
"Oh, give it a rest, Aug. You know why I'm doing this." Shin said not in the mood for the teasing.
"Yeah, but that doesn't make it any less fun to mock you." August chuckled.
"It's a pleasure to see you, Shin." Thor greeted.
"We wish you a fine morning." Julius greeted formally as well.
"Right back at'cha." Shin felt weird being greeted like that.
"I did it!" A short girl slides her face on the desk which surprises Shin.
She is Alice Corner. She is a short, cute, blue-eyed girl with long blonde hair that goes down, a little above the hips and a cowlick. She wears the academy's school uniform for the girls. Breasts sizes: A-cup.
"I actually made it! I made it, right? I'm not late, am I?" The short girl asked.
"Um… yeah." Sicily answered nervously.
"You made it, but what gives with you barely managing to show up on time on the first day of school?" Maria asked.
"Oh, I was so excited about our first day, I had the hardest time falling asleep last night. And then, of course, I overslept." Alice explained.
"What are you, a child?" Maria asked scolding.
"(Well, I mean, officially, you're an adult at 15 in this world. So…)" Shin thought wondered about the age of being an adult.
"I'm sure that just happens to everyone feeling excited on their first day of school." Juvia believed.
"I assume everyone's here?" Alfred asked as he walks in.
"I think that's right." Maria looked to see that this appears to be everyone.
"How are you today, teach? Good?" Alice asked.
"I'm all right. Now take your seats, we're about to start homeroom." Alfred ordered.
"Once we finish here, I'll show you around the school." Alfred mentioned.
"(Oh boy, I can't wait to see what this school is all about.)" Shin thought excited with little blue fire coming out of his nose.
(After Homeroom)
The S-Class students are seen standing outside of the school with Alfred as starts explaining some things.
"Here's the basic breakdown: the school is broadly divided into two buildings, one of them holds all the classrooms, and the other has the faculty offices and the student council room. As well as the rooms used for labs and study groups." Alfred explained which the last part got Shin's attention.
"(Study groups? Are those like clubs?)" Shin thought wondered.
"There's the Attack Magic Study Group. The Quality-of-Life Study Group, they come up with Magic Gear. And the Body Language Study Group, they use magic to increase their physical strength." Alfred mentioned the Study Groups.
"(What was that last one? That seems like a pretty weird way to use magic.)" Shin thought weirded out.
"The Body Language Study Group sounds great!" Julius excited with a smug on his face shocking Shin.
"If I weren't dutybound to guard his Highness, I would apply to join that study group in a heartbeat!" Julius flexed his muscles.
"(Yep, he's a dream muscle boy.)" Shin thought commented.
"Looks Julius, you don't have worry about me. If you want to join the group, then just go for it." August stated as Julius realized he spoke out loud.
"No, I wouldn't even dream of it, your Highness." Julius said, even though he really wanted to join that group so badly. This made August sighs.
"You do remember that in the magic academy, royal or nobility titles are irrelevant here." Juvia pointed out.
"She is right, there's no reason you should have to guard me the whole time we're here because once we set foot here, we're just students on equal ground." August stated.
"Your Highness, I'll never forget the kindness you've shown me!" Julius suddenly burst into tears while August secretly smirks.
"(He's saying it's because of that school rule, but it's clear he just doesn't want to be escorted.)" Shin thought seeing through August's intention.
"Is there a particular study group you wanna join, Shin?" Alice asked.
"Well, those study group do have their own unique way, but none of them are interest in me." Shin said.
"Guess that makes sense, I doubt they would be able to teach much consider what you already know and the Dragon Slayer Magic you possess." August chuckled.
"That's what I'm trying to say. I just don't feel much excitement from any of those group to join." Shin stated.
"I'm also conflicted of what group to join." Juvia admitted.
"Maybe you should join the Attack Magic study group, you did want to learn some attack spells." Sicily suggested to Maria.
"Maybe, but I feel like I want to stick with you and Shin. I mean, you because you're my best friend and not that I even like Shin or anything." Maria blushed.
"Here's a thought, you should start your own study groip." August suggested the idea.
"Huh, you can do that?" Shin asked.
"Oho, a study group created by Wolford? That may as well be interesting." Alfred grinned.
"I thought the same thing." August said which answered Shin's question.
"So, hypothetically, if you were to start a study group, what kind of magic do you think you'd focus on?" August asked with a smug leaning close to Shin.
"I believe it would be about his Dragon Slayer Magic which hasn't been seen in 200 years and other types of Lost Magic, I'm quite intrigued." A girl with glasses said.
Lynn Hughes. She is a petite girl, slightly taller than Alice with short dark brown hair and red-pink eyes behind the glasses. She wears the academy uniform for the girls. Breasts sizes: AA-cup.
"I would join whatever the subject is!" Alice excited.
"I think I'd look into it as well, being with a strong dragon-man has me feel all tingly with excitement." The busty girl blushed a bit.
This beauty is Yuri Carlton. She has long orange hair that reaches below the middle of her back and blue eyes. She has a curvaceous figure which includes her very large breasts. She dresses in the uniform typical of Advanced Magic Academy student, though she lets her shirt hang loose for her ample bosom to be revealed. Breasts sizes: I-cup.
"(I hope that just for schoolwork she's talking about.)" Shin thought gulped and his eyes wandered down to Yuri's breasts, quickly looking away as he blushes.
"I also like to see what is like to have a dragon boy classmate, not to mention a better way to stay in S-Class by studying with you, Shin." A handsome-looking boy said.
Tony Freyd. He has tall physique, handsome and has a brown hair with matching eyes. He wears the male form of the school's uniform.
"Hold on now…" Shin tried to stop something from happening.
"This could be great for us, Shin! We can help each other study our magic together!" Juvia excited grabbing Shin's hand in joy.
"(Damn it, I can't say no to that!)" Shin thought groaned of being blinded by Juvia's cute face.
"If it's alright with you, I would join your study group." Sicily smiled as Maria would like that as well.
That was the last straw for Shin as he could no longer find it in himself to say no to everyone like this and August saw this with a smirk.
"All right, so what does it take to start a study group, anyway." August asked the homeroom teacher.
"Five or more members and a faculty adviser. Once you've lined all that up, you just need to submit a request form and you're set." Alfred explained.
"If you kids ask nicely, I'm willing to be your advisor." Alfred offered with a glimmer smile and the students cheer.
"Wait, wait, can we slow this bandwagon down, please?" Shin begged.
"I mean, there's still a lot to think about." Shin said.
"True, but it wouldn't hurt to do some extra-curriculars together." Maria smiled.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Shin blushed a little.
"So, once you've become president of your own study group, what will you name it and what will we do exactly?" Thor asked.
"Well, I'm not sure yet, like I said it's a lot to think about." Shin said.
"Hey, hey, why don't we make a Hero Study Group!" Alice suggested.
"Huh, what does that mean?" Shin asked.
"I kinda figured you'd spend the whole time telling us stories about heroes like Merlin and Medlia!" Alice explained causing Shin to yelp as he remembers his grandparents don't like being the center of attention much.
"That isn't a bad idea, but unfortunately, there's already a study group that follows the heroes; exploits." Alfred mentioned.
"There is?" Shin shocked. Now he made a mental note to never run into that Study Group.
"In that case, let's go with my first idea about studying Lost Magic like Shin's Dragon Slayer Magic while also mastering different kinds of magic using Shin as a tutor." Lynn said.
"I can help since I'm a Water Dragon Slayer." Juvia volunteered.
"No, Juvia! You're getting yourself into something you can't escape from!" Shin tried to warn her, but she and nobody else is listening to him.
"I can see it now; we'll call it the Ultimate Lost Magic Study Group!" Lynn declared with no shame whatsoever.
"(You're killing me, Lynn… I'm actyally gonna die!)" Shin thought groaned of the awful and over the top name.
"Yeah, I like it. The "Ultimate Lost Magic Study Group" sounds great since we have two students who can perform Lost Magic, it's quite fitting." August agreed to the name much to Shin's shock.
"That settles it, we'll be known as the Ultimate Lost Magic Study Group! It'll be awesome!" Alice jumped in excitement as she can hardly contain herself.
"Aren't we getting ahead of ourselves here?" Shin asked worry.
"Shin's right, you can work that out after class." Alfred stated and Shin groans as that is not what he meant.
"Everyone who wants to join, sound off." Alfred said.
"I do!" All of the S-Class students shouted together.
"Ugh… Can we at least please take out the "ultimate" part?" Shin begged.
But nobody listens and decided to just stick with the name from now on and forever which Shin is gonna have to deal with it for his remaining years in this school.
(Afternoon, Urgent Meeting with King Diseum)
King Diseum is sitting in the small council room having an urgent meeting with the councils and Irene is present there as well as she was asked to come while looking over some papers they have.
"This does not look good. The numbers of demon sightings have gone up way more than last year." Irene shocked of reading these documents.
"But how? If demons are proliferating as this would imply, the whole kingdom should be in a state of chaos." One council member pointed out.
"That's true, but the people seem to be calm for the most part." Another council member said.
"What do you make of this puzzle, Dominic?" Diseum asked.
"If you look closely at the daily reports, I'm sure it will be clear. The day-by-day growth in their numbers would seem quite negligible. No single increase went outside the margin of error. Hence why we didn't notice this before." Dominic stated.
"Yes, by comparing the data of today to from a year shows that these demonoid numbers are increasing slowly as if someone has been planning this for the past year or more which would also show the possibility that someone is creating these demonoids." Irene deduced this information.
"That's impossibly-ridiculous! There's no way these demons were made by men!" One council member denied.
"But you can't deny the numbers right in front of our eyes as this may seem impossible such as the Lost Magic of Dragon Slayers. However, this is something we cannot ignore." Irene said with seriousness in his eyes.
"The Crimson Witch is right, if there is the possibility that these demonoids are being created then we must prepare for the worst." Dominic nodded and looked to King Diseum.
"My King, it's a strange situation we find ourselves in. We should launch an investigation at once." Dominic suggested.
Diseum closes his eyes for a few seconds about the unknow things that has been happening within his kingdom such as the sudden demonoid appearing, and an investigation does sound like a good plan at the moment.
"Ver well. Enlist the aid of the Demon Hunter's Society and investigate this matter thoroughly." King Diseum ordered.
"As you wish." Dominic bowed.
"King Diseum, there is something else that has been troubling me." Irene said.
"What is it?" Diseum asked.
"I fear that one of the new first-year students maybe in deep trouble, trouble that involves with demonoids." Irene answered shocking the king of the councils.
"Please, explain." Diseum said as everyone listen in on this.
"You see, this student is named Kurt von Ritzburg has been whether troublesome at school." Irene mentioned Kurt.
"Kurt, I remember my son mentioning him abusing his noble title which is strictly forbidden once on the schoolground." Diseum remembered that talk with his son.
"Yes, he's been a cocky, over-arrogant boy who even tried to force another first-year student to take as his wife even threatening Shin. I gave him a warning not to cause trouble again, but it seems something is wrong with that boy in more ways than one." Irene explained.
"How so?" Dominic asked.
"You see, I've been sensing his magic for a while and it didn't out of place at first, but I noticed something deeper within his magic. Something dark and vail, almost that of a demonoid." Irene revealed shocking everyone in the room.
"Are you telling us this boy could end up becoming a demonoid?" One council member gasped.
"I'm not entirely sure, but I can tell that this was not his doing by himself. As we know, demons appears whenever an animal loses control of its mana and demonoids are nearly the same way though for Kurt, it would seem that someone is trying to make Kurt become a demonoid." Irene explained her findings and theories.
"Then it would be a disaster if Kurt were to fall into the demonic path." Diseum said.
"Which is why I want you to send some guards to keep the boy in check and hopefully find out what has been causing this darkness raising within him." Irene feared something bad may happen soon.
"Very well, I'll send some guards to the Ritzburg home and inform Russel of this as well though I think it would be best to keep this from Kurt himself." Diseum said.
"(I don't know what is going on here, but I will not let anyone do harm to my home and my daughters.)" Irene thought determined.

Well, there you have it. Whether Shin wants it or not, the Ultimate Lost Magic Study Group is now born with him as the leader while there is trouble with the kingdom as Irene has already suspected that Kurt may become a demonoid soon.
