When Draco woke Friday morning, Hermione was already up and in the kitchen humming and moving around.
"Hey! Keep it down in there. On second thought, come in here. I have a very fine erection with your name on it."
"Really wanker? I'm up early because I have places to go, people to see and a mobile sale to transact. Why don't you take that fine erection into the bathroom, have a pee then take a shower to get yourself right." Hermione called back.
Draco was smiling as he walked to the bedroom door with his fine erection standing out straight. "That mobile sale wouldn't have anything to do with your mother-in-law to be would it? If so, I'm pretty sure she'd want you to soften this dick." Adding the last words in a very low voice.
Having excellent hearing, Hermione heard it all and acted on it. Pulling back the shower curtain, she flicked Draco's now flaccid dick with her finger and thumb.
"That thing doesn't look so fine right now. I'm leaving. I want to get to work early. I love you." She said as she walked away leaving the shower curtain open.
"I have soap in my eyes. I can't see shite. Come back here and close this curtain." Draco bellowed to no avail. Hermione was gone.
Draco rinsed the soap out of his eyes swearing as he went. "Bloody witch is a bloody barking menace."
After he was dry, dressed and staring at himself in the mirror, Draco was singing a different tune. "The bloody witch may be a bloody, barking menace, but she's mine and I love every barking inch of her.
Every barking inch."

Returning To His Roots: Chapter 92
Hermione was quite correct about getting to WCS early. In fact, she was so early she just about landed on Severus' heels. Feeling chipper, she called out to her boss.
"Good morning Severus. I thought I'd get in early to get a start on the day."
Severus who hadn't yet acclimated himself to the beginning of a new day wasn't all that chuffed to have a discussion with the ray of sunshine named Hermione Granger. It was on the tip of his tongue to comment on the feat she had pulled off. However, remembering his promise to Lucius, he simply greeted his Head of Transitions.
"Good morning Hermione. It seems I would not be wrong to give you a key to the premises if you plan to get here before the sun comes up."
Hermione didn't let Severus' sour reply dampen her spirits. She had pulled off a coup of vast proportions and planned to bask in the warmth of her achievement all day long starting at that moment.
"I am here this early because I have an important order to fulfill. Narcissa Malfoy has requested a mobile. Because it is for Draco's mother, I plan to put together a special, top of the line order with accessories."
Severus nodded as he continued walking towards his office which surprised Hermione. She had expected at least a well done if not the proverbial pat on the back. She hadn't received either. Suddenly, she had an epiphany. Severus must already know about the order. She imagined Lucius had alerted Severus first thing. Wanker. Still, it was a feather in her cap. The haughty and racist Narcissa Malfoy had agreed to become a mobile user.
At her counter in the Transitions Department, Hermione was itching to put together Narcissa's package, however, before that, she had morning duties to perform. By 8:30, she had everything in order. It was now simply a matter of setting the pre-orders aside and waiting for them to be picked up.
Hermione was in the middle of getting Narcissa's package together when she looked up to see Gloria coming towards her.
"Lovely." Hermione mumbled softly. "It must be slow at DMTS if Jean has sent the queen of nothing to WCS."
"Good morning Hermione. How is everything?"
Hermione forced a smile. "Hello Gloria. Everything here is going well. I believe Severus is in his office."
Gloria returned the forced smile. "I will give Severus a shout in a bit. Right now I'm here to see you."
Hermione immediately went on alert. Gloria was there to see her. Perhaps she hadn't heard that the assistant's spot had already been filled.
"Me? It's nice to have visitors. Would you like a tea?"
However, Gloria's next words cleared everything up. She wasn't there for tea. "I am actually here to pick up orders. Nils is out on the road, Conor is busy with training, so Jean suggested I pick up the orders."
Words fell out of Hermione's mouth before she could help herself. "Ah! So that only left you."
Gloria turned her head away from Hermione to give herself time to fix her mouth. She had been about to get The Hermione Granger told but thought better of it. After all, she'd be back to WCS working with the witch. Even though it was past time to let bygones be bygones, it was also time to get a bitch in check. So she did.
"Actually Hermione, there was other staff who could have come pick up the phones but Jean thought since I'll be coming back to WCS soon I might as well acclimate myself. I concurred."
BOOM!
Once again, Hermione couldn't stop her mouth. "You're coming back to WCS? In what capacity? If Jean is thinking to place you as my assistant, she should probably check with Severus. The position has been filled."
Gloria knew she shouldn't feed into the conversation, but she was as strong willed as Hermione, so she parried. "I'm not sure why you would think I'm coming for the assistant position. We've been informed the position has been filled. I think Severus and Jean have something different in mind for me."
Hermione had to admit defeat. As a former prosecutor, she knew not to pursue something to which she didn't know the answer. "Fantastic Gloria. Welcome back to WCS. The orders are at the end of the counter. Anna and I will see you when you come back to WCS. Perhaps we can have a night out."
Gloria didn't care about a night out, especially with Hermione Granger. "Sounds good Hermione. I'll just take the orders and get out of your way. Thank you. Ah! I see Severus. I believe I'll give him a shout. Take care."
/*/
Hermione mumbled and grumbled the entire time she put Narcissa's order together. For Merlin knows what reason, Gloria was coming back to WCS. Lovely. The witches should probably hold on tight to their wizards.
/*/
With a few last adjustments, Narcissa's package was complete. Since she hadn't been given payment, Hermione charged the expense to Draco's personal account. No mobile was leaving the premises without a deposit or being paid in full. That was the rule, and it applied to everyone including Narcissa Malfoy.

When Draco stopped by Blaise's office, the Head of OTS gave him a skeptical look and an even more skeptical greeting.
"Good morning Draco. I take it by your presence you and you mother came to terms and no one was cursed."
Draco took a seat. "And you'd be very right Blaise. Although I will say for several minutes I was sure she would draw her wand. I got out of there by the skin of my teeth."
"The skin of your teeth is it? The way you ran out of here yesterday made me wonder if I should alert MLE."
"Sorry about that mate. I was on a tight schedule. There were certain things I needed to get settled with the lovely Narcissa Malfoy. She was in an uproar."
Blaise realized his mate was being forthcoming, but couldn't wrap his head around the fact Narcissa had stepped so far out of character she had her only son scurrying around like some Nocturn Alley bum. He changed the subject.
"Well lad. Sounds serious, but onto other matters. I understand Wil and Thom are still in London. If there are plans to have a boys night out, please include me. The lovely Ginevra Weasley has given me a free night of my own choosing. Something about lady maintenance. As far as I'm concerned, she is perfectly maintained, but what do I know. I'm only her wizard."
Draco let out a chuckle. "Sometimes lady maintenance only means a witch wants some time alone."
Blaise pretended shock. "Time away from me? I think not. Anyway, keep me informed. A few drinks and a few laughs with the boys I almost died with would not be unwelcome."
"Hahaha. There is that. If you're sure Miss Weasley won't be perturbed, Thom, Wil, and I are going to have a night out this very evening. Nothing stupendous. Just a bit of lads only time. I think Wil and Thom will want dinner. The plan is to meet at Tallows for dinner at 6:30 then to F & T for drinks and bullshite about 8:30. That reminds me. I need to ring Theo to see if he's interested in a night out."
"Sounds like a plan Mr. Malfoy. I'll see the lot of you at 6:30."
Draco got up from the chair. "I'll speak to you later Blaise. It's time I went to check on my miscreants. They are probably chomping at the bit to get to Great Warley. The Miller case will be on your desk within the hour."
"Sounds good. Anthony wants a word so I'll be away from my desk for a bit. You know how long winded he can be."
Draco raised his hand in a wave as he left the office. He didn't really care for the long winded Mr. Goldstein ever since he found out Anthony had designs on Hermione, but whatever. He didn't have to have a conversation with the git.
/*/
Donald and Brian were waiting with kits in hand.
Donald commented as if Draco looked as though he was going to make some sort of adjustment to their day. "Good morning boss. As you can see, Brian and I are ready to get to Great Warley. Kits are packed, we've been to the toilet and we have our big boy trousers on."
Brian remained silent.
Draco rolled his eyes at Donald. "Lovely Donald. Please give me a few minutes. I need to make a call then sign off on the Miller case and get it to Blaise. Be back in a few. I hope your visit to the toilet was productive."
Brian smiled.
/*/
Draco decided to ring Theo before checking the Miller case which more than likely only need his signature.
One ring. Two rings. Three rings. Draco was ready to disconnect when Theo answered.
Good morning Mr. Malfoy. What can I do for a lad this early in the morning? In the market for another home?
Hahaha, funny Theo. The home I have is fine for now. I'm calling to let you know Wil, Thom, Blaise and I are having a lads night out tonight. Tallows for 6:30 then F & T for around 8:30, if you care to join us.
Theo hesitated several seconds before accepting the invitation. He had hesitated only because he didn't want to leave Anna alone. He accepted because he realized him and his witch didn't have to be together every night.
Excellent company. A few laughs with the boys sounds great. Count me in. I'll meet you all at Tallows.
Excellent. One more thing. I'm not one to speak out of school about OTS related matters, but this bit of information is extraneous. Keep your eyes and ears open for an upscale property in Great Warley coming to market. Take a look at page four in the Prophet. I need to get on the road. I'll speak to you later.
Page four in the Prophet? Will do Draco. Thanks for the tip. I'll see you tonight.
/*/
Everything with the Miller case was in order. Draco signed off on it and left it on Blaise's desk before returning to the work room where Donald was still standing in the same spot with case in hand.
Grabbing his own case, Draco commented before heading out the door. "I admire an eager agent Donald. Alright wizards let's go check the damage in Great Warley."
Donald who couldn't resist a chance to banter replied with a bit of cheek. "And I promise to remain eager if it means I get to see a crystal chandelier."
Brian brushed past Donald as he followed Draco from the room leaving a remark of his own as he passed. "Do you always have to give tit for tat?"
Donald feigned surprise as he followed Brian out of the room. "Yes Brian I do. It keeps us all honest."
"Honest my arse. Come on. Draco is probably holding the lift and patting his foot."
Draco wasn't patting his foot but his frown lines spoke volumes.
/*/
Friday was going to be a busy day at Nott Realtors. Theo had an early showing at 10:00 am and two afternoon showings at 1:30 and 3:30. However, at the moment, Theo's thoughts were on something equally as important as his appointments, Anna.
Theo was thinking about the talk he and Anna had had the previous evening about appearances. He was all for Anna spending some of her nights at his home while Anna disagreed. In fact, she had been rather vocal about it. She would not be spending the night at Nott Estate anytime in the near future. Perhaps somewhere down the line, but not two seconds after they'd become a couple. Although disappointed, Theo came to see Anna's point after she joked he was thinking with his dick. He had laughed, but his witch had a point. He had been thinking with his nether head. They agreed to leave everything as it was for now. Some of Anna's comments were still swirling around in his head when his mobile rang. Not yet acclimated to the mobile, Theo fumbled a bit before connecting with the caller. Draco Malfoy was calling.
Good morning Mr. Malfoy. What can I do for a lad this early in the morning? In the market for another home?
After a short conversation with Draco, Theo checked his case for all pertinent documentation and was off.

Reg and Declan were in the back so a young wizard could get some air. Broom practice was over for the day. Declan was feeling happy because he'd received a compliment from Reg not only about his form on a broom, but his behavior the previous evening. They were now onto finances. Reg was explaining how proper wizards had some sort of savings when they reached majority.
Declan had questions.
"What is majority Reg?"
"A wizard comes of age when he reaches seventeen."
"I'll be eight in October so I have nine years before I can go to the pub."
Reg howled. "So you can go to the pub? What do you know about pubs?"
"I know the uncles used to go to the pubs. Its where a wizard can get drinks. My father doesn't go to the pubs because he has drinks in his drinks cabinet. The uncles didn't have a drink cabinet."
A change of subject was in order. "Enough about your uncles business. Our subject right now is finances. Your father mentioned putting any left over money into a jar, but I want to go one step further. Have a look at this."
Reg pulled out documentation to open a Gringotts Junior Savings Account.
"Declan looked at the cover page. "Is this one step further Reg? Gringotts Junior Savings Account. Shall we get one and surprise father?"
"Slow down Declan. Let's first study what is needed."
Declan was quick to reply. "But you gave the application to me. I must meet requirements or you wouldn't have brought it up."
Reg acknowledged Declan's statement with a pat on the shoulder. "You are one sharp, little wizard and you are right in one. I wouldn't have brought this up if I didn't think you met requirements. This account can be opened with as little as one sickle which I am thinking we could take from your incidentals account. After that, we'll see how it goes. First though we run it by your father. If he agrees, we'll open the account."
Declan was chuffed. "I think we should talk to father this evening because I want to have something when I come of age and help father if he needs money."
Reg almost puffed out his chest he was so proud of his charge. "We'll address this with your father this evening, but be wary of suggesting he might need money. Theo wouldn't like it if he thought I was casting aspersions. We'll discuss opening the account and that's all."
Declan was quick to agree with Reg. The last thing he wanted to do was upset his Man or his father. "Thank you for looking out for me Reg. I want to have loads of galleons when I come of age. I wish my Nan could see me. She never had an extra money. I miss my Nan but I'm very glad to be here with you and my father. I'm really hungry now Reg. May I have two egg and cheese sandwiches?"
Reg shrunk the Junior Savings Account application down and slipped it into his pocket. "Alright lad. I think we can do that. Go wash up. I'll tell Cely what you want. She should have your sandwiches and a juice ready by the time you get back."
"Okay Reg. After lunch, I need to see to Nan's bushes. They need a bit of water."
"That's fine. I have a few things I need to do. There and back Declan. Don't dawdle."
Declan shrugged as he headed for his room. Reg was being cheeky. He never dawdled.

Wil and Thom had had a wild night out with Mick, but were eager to do it again. However, before they could think about entertainment, they had reports to finish. Everything they would be reporting was on point. They had acquired tons of knowledge regarding mobiles and telecommunications which they were forwarding in document form. The suits in Switzerland would be more than pleased. In addition to paperwork, they were sending physical mobiles for their purview, two basic, two mid level and two top of the line along with explicit instructions on how to use them.
"The suits will be pleased." Offered Thom.
"Does anything actually please those two? I'm going to attach a cover sheet explaining how much money we can save by using mobiles. That will catch their attention. Making money or saving money is their goal, as it should be."
Thom was nodding in agreement. "Yes, there's that Wil, but being the first with the best will also make them extremely happy. I imagine they are holding all this very close to their chests until they have everything in order. After that, they'll be hell bent on getting a mobile into the hands of every Swiss citizen old enough to sign on the dotted line."
"I agree. Have a look at this to see if I've missed anything. While you're doing that, I'll start packing the mobiles. When everything is in order, we'll go down to lower level to send the packages off. I also think we should stop back by WCS to see what's going on. It wouldn't do for Severus or Mick to think we're not taking this project seriously. Besides, I'm sure if Mick doesn't have any more tips, Miss Granger will be glad to show us a few things."
"Hahaha. Hermione again? We are going to be in the company of her wizard this evening. Do you want to spend hours sitting across from an obstinate, growling Draco Malfoy? I think not. Keep your mind away from Hermione and on business."
"Relax Thom. My mind is on business. Do you want to dispute the fact Hermione probably knows more about mobiles than Mick?"
"I'm not disputing anything Wil. In fact, I concur. Hermione is very sharp. You haven't missed anything in your documentation. Sign it, replicate it and let's get the parcels sent off. After that, I want a nap because these London lads really like to party and I want to be ready."
"That's the truth." Wil replied. "Go ahead and put your feet up. I'll take the parcels down to the Owl Post. I'm also going to stop at Food Services. Would you like a something?"
"I absolutely would. A pastrami sandwich with mustard and pickles on the side would be great."
"Consider it done mate. I'll be back."
"Okay." Thom replied with a stretch and a yawn. "If I'm asleep when you get back, just put the sandwich aside. I'll eat it later."
"Will do." Wil called over his shoulder as he headed to the door of the suite.
/*/
By the time Wil returned to the suite, Thom was straight up snoring. Wil put Thom's sandwich aside, ate his own then headed to the other bedroom to catch a few winks himself.
There wouldn't be any extra visit to WCS unless Severus or Mick wanted to meet on Saturday. Several minutes later, Wil was straight up snoring right along with Thom.
An hour later, one of the mobiles laying on the living room table began to ping. Unfortunately, both wizards were asleep and didn't hear the notification.

Hermione had almost finished the list of requirements for her and Anna to review when she had an idea. The men were going out which meant Anna would probably be alone for the night. She would ring Anna to see if she wanted to come to her flat for dinner at which time she would show her assistant what she had put together. Perhaps Anna would have something more to add. Without another thought, Hermione scrolled down her phone listings until she came to Anna's number. Pressing the little phone icon, Hermione held the phone up to her ear.
The phone rang but went directly to voicemail. It was at that moment Hermione remembered Anna was probably on the floor assisting customers. She left a short message then went back to what she had been doing.
A casual glance at her Wonder Witch Watch showed 4:45. Where had the time gone? Hermione also glanced at the load of mobiles sitting on the end of the counter waiting to be picked up. If Gloria was the pick up person for the day, she was falling down on the job. Hermione picked up her mobile and pushed the icon beside Jean's name.
Ring. Ring.
Hermione. Good afternoon.
Good afternoon Jean. I'm sorry to bother you this late in the day, but the last bundle of orders haven't been picked up yet. Shall I put them away until Monday?
I didn't know we had a late bundle.
It isn't a late bundle. It's the afternoon bundle that hasn't been picked up.
The afternoon bundle? I thought they had been picked up and distributed. There are customers who were promisedā¦.. Never mind. I'll get to the bottom of it. If there was some glitch, I should have been notified. I'll have someone there in the next five minutes. Thank you for calling. Have a good weekend.
You're welcome Jean. You have a good weekend as well.
Hermione ended the call with a smile on her face. Not too smart of you to fuck up even before you're back at WCS Miss Isles.
Ten minutes later, Conor came striding up to the counter looking grim.
"Hello Hermione."
"Hello Conor. Why so grim looking?"
"Grim isn't the word. I've come for the afternoon bundle. I've just had an up one side and down the other scolding from Jean for not being on top of our orders. Orders mind you I didn't know were my responsibility. I will take blame for not noticing our customer area was overly full, but in my defense I had training class after training class today. It was like the entirety of Magical London was there to learn about mobiles. Anyway, no sense bitching. I just need to make sure these mobiles get into the correct hands. Thank you for letting me vent Hermione."
"No problem Conor. Sometimes venting is good. I'm a master at it."
Conor smiled.
"I'm not even going to offer a reply to that statement. I'll see you Sunday at Theo's."
"Hahaha. Enjoy your weekend. I'll see you Sunday."
Perhaps it wasn't nice, but Hermione felt a bit giddy. Seemed as though Gloria couldn't be trusted to do the most menial task.
/*/
Speaking of grim faces, Draco, Donald and Brian returned to the offices around 4:00 pm in less than stellar moods. Nothing like seeing the aftermath of a severe cursing to sober one up. Even Donald refrained from offering any sort of banter. The three wizards moved quickly and quietly about the workroom transferring evidence from their cases to the tables.
Donald wanted so badly to offer a few comments, but didn't because it wouldn't be anything nice regarding the wizards and witches who had it all yet still acted like animals because they could. In addition, he didn't want to speak out of turn and upset his wealthy, had it all boss. He did realize for such a heinous crime scene, there really wasn't an over abundance of evidence. In fact, it seemed like wealthy blighters did their dirt with a modicum of mess. It was like they swished, flicked and cursed then sat down to have a cocktail.
Draco broke the silence. "All we'll do right now is sort and mark the evidence. The rest we'll leave until Monday morning so there will be something to share with Mr. Johns if Blaise puts him with us."
Brian concurred but with reservation. "Sounds like a plan Draco, but I'm reasonably certain Blaise mentioned initially putting Stuart with Team1 first then our team the following week."
"You might be right Brian. However, I'd like us to leave the remainder of the Everly casework for Monday. Case notes can be done on Monday as well. It's past 5:00. Wrap up what you're working on then go home. I'm going to check my desk. Have a pleasant weekend wizards. I'll see you on Monday."
"Have a good weekend boss."
"We'll see you Monday."
Donald turned to Brian and spoke in a hushed tone. "Merciful Merlin Brian. All it takes for the boss to stay in a calm and reserved state is an almost murder."
It was too late in the day for Donald's nonsense so Brian snapped at him. "And all it will take for your arse to be booted from OTS is to keep talking rubbish about Draco. He's in a calm, reserved mood. Leave him there. My ends are tidy. I'm going to the men's then getting the hell out of here. I'll meet you at the lifts."
Brian's comments caught Donald off guard coming from the wizard who normally wouldn't say shite if he had a mouthful. Donald guessed an almost murder could put almost anyone on edge.

It was 5:10 when a harried Gloria went rushing up to the Transitions Department counter only to find it dark and empty. She was running very late due to a personal matter that needed sorting. Now here she was ready to make the afternoon pick up but Hermione was nowhere to be found. Gloria tried to enter the department to see if the mobile orders had been left on a shelf but to no avail. The department was locked against intruders. Frustrated but unwilling to go back to DMTS without the bundles, Gloria walked the floor hoping Hermione hadn't left the building. It was Friday afternoon after 5:00. Except for a few wizards in the Wiring Department, the building was almost empty. She swore as she walked back to give Transitions one last check.
"Shite. Damn."
Gloria was about to give the whole thing up when who should appear but Hermione herself.
"Hermione. Am I glad to see you. I'm here for the afternoon pick up but they aren't on the counter."
"You've just caught me Gloria. I was having a quick toilet visit before calling it a day. You must have gotten your signals crossed. The bundles aren't on the counter because Conor picked them up about thirty minutes ago. Checkā¦.."
Hermione didn't have a chance to finish her thought because Jean had just arrived at WCS and spotted the two witches.
"Hello Hermione, Gloria. May I have a word Gloria?"
Although she would have liked to stay to see the beat down, Hermione was smart enough to get out of the line of fire. "Hello Jean. Nice to see you. I'm just on my way out. Goodnight. Goodnight Gloria."
Imagining the conversation Jean was about to have with Gloria, Hermione had a smile on her face as she turned into Apparition.
/*/
When Hermione landed at Draco's, his attire for the night was laid out on the bed and he was already in the shower.
"Hello handsome. I'm home." She shouted to be heard over the shower noise.
No response. Hermione shrugged before kicking off her shoes and heading for the kitchen to check her mobile and have a tea. With her legs stretched out, Hermione lazily waved her wand to put on the kettle and summon a cup. While waiting for the kettle, Hermione read the return text from Anna who was pleased to accept the dinner invitation at Hermione's flat.
{Sender: Anna}
Hi Hermione. Thanks for the invite. I'll be by your flat around 7:00 ish. I know we witches like our wine so I'll come with gift in hand. Don't cook. I'm going to be a highly paid assistant in the next few weeks. I'll bring dinner. See you later.
{Sender: Hermione}
Lovely. I'll see you around 7:30.
/*/
The kettle was ready. Once again, Hermione wiggled her wand bring the kettle and the tea to the table. She had just taken a sip when Draco appeared at the kitchen door wrapped in a towel.
Leaning down, Draco ran his lips across the back of Hermione's neck before planting a kiss on her lips. "Good afternoon gorgeous."
Grabbing Draco around the neck before he could lift his head, Hermione returned his peck with a searing kiss.
"Nice one. Have you just sealed me with a kiss? The witches will look at my bruised lips and immediately realize I have a fiancee at home."
Hermione smiled but gave Draco the side eye as she was smiling. "Plan on running into a ton of witches tonight Mr. Malfoy? You'd better act your relationship status and not your shoe size. Don't make this your last boys night out."
Draco gave a quick nuzzle before sitting down and taking a sip of Hermione's tea. "Act my relationship status and not my shoe size? That's a rather convoluted piece of advice. Must be some damn muggle thing."
"You know exactly what I mean Malfoy. I have your mother's mobile package. Did you ring Lucius to let him know you'll be bringing it to the Manor tomorrow?"
"We'll. We'll be bringing it to the Manor tomorrow. And no, I haven't rung him. In fact, I'll text him right now."
Hermione waved her wand yet again to clear up the tea remains before following Draco into the bedroom. He was sitting on the side of the bed texting.
"I've invited Anna to have dinner with me tonight at my flat. A sort of girls night in. I'll come over in the morning."
Draco said the first thing that came to mind. "You're going to leave me to sleep alone? Why don't you and Anna have dinner here? There's plenty of food. I'd like my fiancee to sleep where I sleep. Text Anna and tell her dinner will be here."
"No Draco. Anna and I will be having dinner at my flat. Get dressed, go out and have a good time. I'll see you in the morning. I love you git."
Draco got up off the bed and wrapped his arms around Hermione. "I love you too Granger. Now give me a big kiss to tide me over."
They shared a long, sweet kiss.
"I'll see you in the morning love."
"You certainly will Malfoy. We have a mobile to deliver."
