Steady … steady, and finally I finish the modification to my communication system, as it turns out the bait to call the batarians to this system will be me, the plan is simple I use my barely functional communication system to emit an emergency signal in the surroundings to any interest merchant or ships that should come to help a "damage ships" that I am making and if it batarians I will be going to attack them and steal their ships to finally fixing my propulsion system and finally get the hell out of here
This maybe can have many mistakes like how should I know if not assari or salarians pick up the signal first or any private for other races, but I am tired of being on this fucking planet alone I am in the mass effect galaxy for God's sake I want to explore more places, races, concepts, obtain new knowledge, live a partial life before the reapers came, and I have to focus on things like I don't know saving the entire fucking galaxy of a wave of genocide biomechanical creatures that reproduce to the point of erasing entire civilizations, you know do basic things when you have a galaxy of opportunities to offer?
And besides I hated really much the loneliness of this world it sucks the only thing to have to talk it's a computer with pre-programmed responses that even if it's an almighty powerful reaper IV that makes see the entire rest of the IV of the galaxy like simple toast, It's still and IV and in one point one will get exasperated so to activate the signal it will be

Saying was a bad week for Garek was as simple as saying the sun is hot, for Garek this week was horrible, first a failed raid in a turian caravan of one of his fleets brought him trouble having to pay for the mess because one of the idiots forgotten to erase the register that connects it to him, then his imbecile of a father who made bets that put the house in debt that he had to pay because of course the heir have to pay for the father mess and to make matter worse the hegemony put his fleet in exploration efforts most likely know to the hegemony as "Put the people you don't like there and then make it disappear without traces" it's a know things in the batarians high class that if you want someone to disappear that make problems you just have to send it to exploration efforts and then blame the terminus system for the "disappearance" of the ships claiming it was attacked by one of the local warlords
most likely to "pay" his father's debts the bastard is going to try to steal the ships of the house under his protection and blame him for failing to protect the fleet from pirates, because that is the Batarian way even if he's your heir make his life miserable to make things easier for you, and don't talk about his brothers, will always be going for the least opportunity to make him disinherit. "Fleet status ?" Garek asks his second in command Boris who is a batarian in charge of the communication system and has the ships of the fleet connected and coordinated during the survey of the cluster where they are

As Boris said that Garek thinks about this bringing his all-personal fleet sounds crazy after all it's just a survey mission, and one of the four ships has barely military equipment, and the others are only cargo holders and scientific ships modified with light-reinforced armor to deal with pirate weaponry he knew that this was necessary it is a fucking cluster what it is going to be exploring a prothean ruin while also scanned the entire cluster a little fleet will have an eternity of time to scans system by the system so separate the fleet for the planet will be more efficient and that's, why I bring the military hardware, the separated fleets, will need protection even if it's a destroyer or a frigate it will scare the pirates more of attack that only a modified civilian ship and let's be honest here his fathers probably is going to buy the cheapest pirates thinking he is well just going to be with only a small fleets

Detecting an entire armada enter in the system first I thought Its was the end of the world, it's like I expected a little merchant fleet or some ship alone not an entire armada enter the system and well batarians and fleet in this specific system make one rapidly thought that they already where are and seem me activate I was going to be bombarded and later taken to his home world and became a lab rat of the batarians, but turns out that where there first time in the system by its looks like, my lucky day, because not only is that, but also it's a private enterprise not a Batarian official activity, I only need to rip the head of and the rest begins to run if the Batarias are just like in mass effect games, I just need to be the trap myself to be capable of doing that, so I position myself in the middle of a plain part of the planet and shut down some external systems to make looks like I was just an old ruin ship, also ordering the drones to shut down and activate only to my order to attack, I am not going to let my opportunities to a kick victory to be taken always because they see a drone and run scared
While I do that I begin to hack his communication system and practice first-time hacking systems thanks to my computer brain, but turns out I only send a set of codes and easily suppress their IV giving me direct access to their communication system
"Begin the scanning of this system, I want all the planets in this system fully scanned in one week"
I expected online security measures to be hard in spaceships it's like if this thing depends on their safety and well I am a destroyer, not sovereign to have a powerful hacker system to enter other ships' computers but still sometimes I forget that I have an average computer system for a reaper, not for the usually galactic standard so it's no surprise that I can easily enter inside these systems especially if it's batarian quality seriously no wonder the reapers crush them so easy even with this reaper body in their home world his cyber warfare is a mess it's like it wasn't a fight enter in their systems it's IV where just wind in the difference of the reaper Cyber warfare capabilities
I could do it more if I want to mess with their scanner, or sabotage their security protocols but better not besides I am not going risk this opportunity if they notice my interference with their system is probably that they will probably try to expel me and have their fleet bombard me, but now better let it for latter that type of order this is the beginning of a large day so, I will only sit and watch as this batarians do their part
"Almirant, we are approaching the source of the signal the survey and scanning system show some kind of pyramid to the left, probably some old prothean installation "
"What? Are you sure, Boris ?" Said Garek like he hit a jackpot if what was saying was the truth it should probably be a prothean or even ancient ruins in this system and not only a simple beacon how about ruins or even an old prothean post functional, the weapons find it in that class of situations, can make him richer than any other Batarian would dream and bring glory to the house enough to kick his father of the position of power once and for all and become the ruler of the Gariket house once and for all who knows maybe can become a hegemon in the future if these turns out to be true
" Tell the rest of the fleets to go to their assigned planets and Send one of the scientific ships with a military contingent to accompany the slaves to that planet "
"Slaves sir ?"
"Of course, Boris, is an old ruin with centuries of old did you expect batarians to activate possible traps that this has? Once the soldiers inform us that it'safe, we will descend on the planet and the slaves could activate the traps"
"Of course, sir" Boris only assents to Garek's order after all it's just simple reasoning with his order why to send batarians to die to investigate these findings when you can send slaves to do it for you after all they are disposable and the chip implanted in their brains stop them for rebelling against their masters and perhaps if it's having trap it could be used as a warning to others more problematic slaves that if they dare to disobey his batarians masters will find his end activating traps
Third point view
As three of the ships of the Batarian fleets begin to get down to the planet, it can be seen in the distance as they approximate a mighty machine covered in dust, clearly for the storm that scourges this planet and the source of the signal, where two civilians ship one scientist and one cargo holder for slaves and one military ship stops around of the mighty machine landing in the surface of the planet and began to open they dockyard seeing has four scientists, nine Batarian soldiers and twelve slaves between eighth batarians of the low caste, three turians, and one assari begin to get down of their respective shops with all of them have spacesuit but clearly with the differences nothing as the scientist are equipped with gadgets to scan its surroundings and recollect information, as the military his suits are prepared for prolonged combat even with kinetics shields, the slaves for his side barely his spaces suits are united together
"Move Move worthless scum," said one of the Batarian soldiers to make the slaves advance to the "ruins" that are in front of them preparing his rifle in case one of them try to run, the chips are good, but one could never be sure if slaves are going to try to escape for his duty and a good shot could deal with that, beginning the slaves to touch it the surface for the ruins to find a button or some mechanism that could open it to find the source of the signal that it begins emitting after surprised only thirty minutes one of the turians activate some kind of giant blue eyes that activate other three two to each side of the strange ruins openly a section of his side that let the slaves enter scare, but more scare of the batarians weapons in his back begin to advance inside the strange "Pyramid" that was in this planets
Feeling the coldness and emptiness of the ruins, the slaves slowly march inside the ruins, unknown to them the ruins they were to enter have his own eyes and are watching them as they march at the point of a batarian bayonet, curious about what was happening to the slaves and creating machinations in his mind to deal with them, because these people have just entered his body and who was he to let the people that "voluntary" bring him part necessary to fix himself to enter his body without a properly welcome
After all they just get down to Jartar their unknown graves
And that's it , this part of the arc will be divide in multiple parts to make it more interesting that only "I make a trap and the enemy's fall for it" I want to give it more life for say it for one thing to the galaxy
