Chapter 2: A Nomadic Warrior and the Orthodoxies of Martial arts
Several Uchiha clansmen are on the ground beaten and battered. Naruto sees the man known as Subotai standing over them unharmed and barely breaking a sweat after showcasing incredible strength and fighting instinct. "Hmm boys regardless of their special abilities they are still just boys acting like men" said Subotai as he goes towards the girl in question.
"Thank you, sir I don't know, what would have happened if you hadn't shown up" said the girl who was shaken up by the fierce brawl that happened.
"No problem young lady I was only being a gentleman "said Subotai as he walks inside of the tavern.
As he walks in he sees various people inside of the hall to see various warriors ranging from Ronin. Ninjas, Warrior Monks and some pirates. He walks up to the bar keep and asks "Give me whatever you have." "Your new around here where are you from" asked the bar keep.
"The Western Continent in a country in the hills called Rouran" answered Subotai as he drinks in a bar. Naruto sees the two talking the bar keep asks about what brings him to the elementals. Subotai answers for fortune and virtue, maybe a good fight. Subotai then asks for a room and two women which the bar keeps.
A couple hours pass as Subotai had relieved himself with the women. As he gets up he covers and places a blanket over the women who had experienced the best night of their lives. Subotai goes to get dress so he can find work in the city.
He finds various things wrong with the city he sees various crimes of going on with one feminine man about to be raped in an alley. Subotai intervenes and savagely beats the men within an inch of their lives.
"Are you alright" asked Subotai as he sees more crime and mayhem happening in the city.
"Thank you, sir you literally saved my ass." answered the man as he gets to his feet.
"No problem. But tell me who where those creeps" asked Subotai as he looks at the feminine looking man.
"Well stranger those men belong to the crimson dragons a yakuza organization that wants protection for my art studio." answered the man in question.
"Why did they try to rape you" asked Subotai.
"Well it's due to my face being that of an angel I look like a woman from a distance. My name is Tenshi Toki master artist" introduced Tenshi as he looks at Subotai.
"I am Subotai of Rouran of the Western Continent" introduced Subotai.
"Well wanderer I would have a job for you if your interested" asked Tenshi as he looks at the man in question
Naruto sees that Subotai goes on to be Tenshi's bodyguard for many years along with training him. He next sees Subotai taking on jobs as either a bouncer, bodyguard, trainer, instructor, dock worker, sailor and many other jobs during his travels in the elemental nations the man has skill sets in multiple jobs that will either have him see combat or labor. Learning how to pick up important skills while traveling.
He also discovered that Subotai brought with him not only combat skills but also a Shamanic power of a Sixth sense allowing him to sense danger in the environment and the intentions of others.
Naruto sees everything that Subotai has experienced from his part time odd jobs. Naruto leaves the memory.
Outside of the memory inside of the mindscape
Naruto feels Subotai's Sixth Sense of Spirit Eye improving his reflexes and intuition.
"So Naruto, how was your memory dive." asked a curious Kurama as she is being fanned by two mental constructs of servants.
"Pretty well gained a new ability that may help with my work" said Naruto as he looks at his red haired kitsune lover.
"That's great darling so what abilities did this warrior give you." asked Kurama as she sees an illustration of Subotai.
"Well Subotai gave me insight on different jobs to look at during travel as a nomad two of which may help me as I am near a shipping port" explained Naruto as he smirks at the Bijuu in question as he leaves the mind scape.
"Humans are so unpredictable even in the superhuman category." said Kurama as she goes to enjoy a massage from a Naruto construct.
Outside of the Mindscape.
Naruto for the next three years works on the docs as a dock worker helping repair and build ships. During the time he had kept up his combat training, growing his pankration and shinobi skills while also improving his sensory and mental abilities. He also amassed a good deal of money for travel and supplies.
At the moment Naruto is working as a lookout in a crow's nest on a shipping vessel he manages to get the position from a man who look to be shadier than many others. Naruto had been at sea for many weeks now; he had guided the ships through many storms and possible pirate ambushes. He sees nothing on the horizon he's about to change with another lookout until he hears cannon fire.
"ENEMY SHIP!" shouted Naruto as the whole crew get to battle stations. Naruto gets his Kopis sword out so he could get ready to fight. The two ships trade cannon fire as they close the distance so the crews could engage in close quarters fighting. Naruto gets the christening by blood as he fights the enemy sailors. "Hey boys look at him go" said a crossbow wielding sailor as he kills an enemy crossbowman on the ship. "What's that kid's name." asked one sailor as he slices a pirate in half.
"Don't know but it looks like we have a lion son of the sea" said the Captain as he butchers several attackers with his hatchets.
"Hmm let's call him Lionheart" said the Chief mate as he throws a man overboard to the sea filling with sharks.
Naruto is swinging through the air with Kopis and grappling hook as he jumps over towards the opposing ship with several sailors following. The fighting gets blood and intense as Naruto cuts through man after man. Naruto kicks one man overboard who is savagely ripped apart.
The enemy Captain, a man of great build and terror, looks at the boy in question. "Hmm you fight well boy. Let's see you handle a Captain, lion cub" said the man as Naruto engages him in a brutal battle of blades. The Captain had great reach with his O katana but Naruto had greater mobility in his weapons. Some of the sailors look on in awe as Naruto fights on par with a combatant of greater skill and experience. Naruto maneuvers around the man with a well-timed flip where he cuts the man's legs off above the knee. The man as he bleeds out asks. "Who are you." "Just a nomad finding knowledge and strength." said Naruto as he cuts the man's head off.
The Pirates are defeated, and the ship is destroyed. "Thanks kid you did pretty good for yourself" said the Captain as he looks at the dark blonde haired 12-year-old.
"Thanks, Cap'n but I didn't feel like swimming back to land" said Naruto as two crew mates pick him up chanting. "Hurray for lionheart hip hip hurray" shouted the rest of the crew.
Timeskip 1 week later.
Naruto is traveling towards Oni Country. As he is walking, he sees a training ground of sorts as he is walking three figures surround him each one wearing armor akin to that of an Oni. "Who are you. We sensed great power within you" said one Oni masked ninja.
"I am only a traveler seeking knowledge for a great rebirth within the elementals." said Naruto as one walks up to him looking into his heterochromia eyes. "Our clan head would like to speak with you, please allow my friend to carry you for you will answer some questions that needs answering" said the leader of the three as one blindfolds Naruto and carries him. The three shunshins to an unknown destination.
Back In Konoha
Tenten Higurashi is walk the academy with her friend Toshi Kaminaro. They are in their second year in the academy. Tenten has become very skilled in the use of weapons. She has also developed tastes for fuinjutsu for a technique she is coming up with. She has also been having dreams of a dark golden-haired boy with heterochromia wielding a sword of incredible craftsmanship that is wielded by a legendary ruler.
'Who are you to have a weapon of a king' thought Tenten as she walks towards the academy.
"So Tenten, how's your day going so far" asked Toshi as he walks side by side with Tenten who is in thought.
"Oh the usual but something has been causing me to have dreams of someone" said Tenten in a cheerful but curious expression.
"Oh is it a future boyfriend?" asked Toshi in a playful teasing tone as Tenten for her part blushes at the statement.
"No baka I just" "Just want to be with him" interrupted Toshi as he runs towards the academy with blushing Tenten running after him.
Back with Naruto
Naruto is brought to the leader of the Lin Kuei, a man of incredible stature and discipline. He has an icy personality. He is a warrior known as Tundra Master with skill and power over ice. Naruto explains who he is, what he is, along with his mission from Kami for the leaf and the world. Tundra Master is interested as Naruto also reveals that he was experimented on by Orochimaru who fused several Genetic Genomes of warriors of the past and beyond and that he is learning the genetic memory of each warrior one at a time.
"Hmm so that's who took it" said Tundra master as he looks at the blonde with interest.
"What do you mean my lord" answered one Lin Kuei Warrior as Naruto who was curious of the man's statement.
" Orochimaru stole the Jewel of the War Gods" answered Tundra as everyone in the room except Naruto is shocked at this reveal.
"The Jewel of the War Gods?" said Naruto as he looks at the ice warrior in question.
"Yes you see Naruto years ago Orochimaru stole the Jewel of the Gods, a jewel that was sacred to the many warrior monk societies as it was believed to have the blood of several of the most powerful gods in existence. But Naruto from what you have told me shows differently about the legend." said Tundra as everyone turns towards Naruto with awe.
"So what do you plan to do with me Tundra sama" asked Naruto as Tundra looks at Alexander's sword with awe and interest.
"Well Young Uzumaki seeing as you have a path of ingenious vengeance, I will release you to fulfill it on one condition." said Tundra as he looks at the blonde in question.
"Name your terms Tundra sama" asked Naruto as he looks at the man in question. "Convince the Hokage you will help place in power to allow us to move to Konoha." asked Tundra as Naruto smiles as he says the next magic words. "Tundra Sama when I get through you will be among the fierce men and women of the village hidden in the leaves. For I will purge Konoha myself when I slaughter the enemies of my clan" Tundra was happy by the ruthlessness of the boy in front of him. "Good but I need you to do me a favor that is mutually beneficial" asked Tundra as he looks at Naruto. "Name your request and it will be done." said Naruto.
"I would like you to find a group of ninjas that have been snooping around or land for secrets. They bear the symbol for a thought to be disbanded special operations group of Konoha known as Root. I would like for you to eliminate them and leave no trace of them. Do this and there will be a scroll with 7,000 Ryo on a tree leading out of our territory underneath a black marble stone near a finished stone wall" asked Tundra as Naruto senses not ill intent but intent to test him in some fashion.
"Gladly" said Naruto as he knows he needs the money.
'Let's see what the Lion King and the Nomadic Brawler has show the boy' thought Tundra Master as he follows Naruto from a distance.
Miles away a Root nin team can be seen moving around the territory of the area as Naruto sees each Root nin and senses their emotions seeing they are like emotionless dolls. Naruto gets a break through when he sees the group taking a break at a pond. 'Hmm so that old fool Danzo couldn't get rid of their ability to eat good' thought Naruto as he moves closer with his Kopis ready to taste blood. Naruto systematically begins his attack.
Naruto catches one of the Root Nin unawares as he was peeing in the bushes. He never saw the golden-haired blonde with the curve sword pounce on him and swiftly behead him. Another Root nin is killed when Naruto strangles him with a vine from above, a third was killed by having his throat opened up with a Kunai and the last his killed when Naruto pushes him into a Lin Kuei den of man-eating ghost tigers. Naruto goes to gather the other bodies to fed the tigers for the next nights. Tundra from a distance thinks 'Hmm the boy is quick and efficient with how he does things I will enjoy working with him in the future.'
Naruto leaves the territory of the Lin Kuei. As he does so he goes near the stone wall where he finds the scroll and discovers it's full of the Ryo he was promised.
'Hmm It looks like I have found enough money for travel' thought Naruto as he travels away from the land of the Lin Kuei.
Elsewhere in Wind Country
Temari is training her wind jutsu using her Iron fan to move with grace around the practice ground like a warrior angel. She had been having a dream of boy around her age group with dark golden blonde hair who has heterochromic eyes looking at her with interest and longing. Temari has been thinking about the boy's face and smile as if she is destined to be with him.
'Who are you, my prince.' thought Temari as she lands on he feet.
Back with Naruto
Naruto had stopped near a steaming waterfall so he may relax he had been traveling for many days out of Demon Country towards Timber Country. He wanted to get himself a relaxing soak so he could resume his journey. As he jumps into the natural spring, he sees a beautiful site of what he could see is a phoenix.
He relaxes thinking about how his journey will be and what he will do for his lover Kurama. As hours pass Naruto goes to set up camp for the night. 'Hmm maybe I can travel to Uzushio for some answers on seals. I could find something for her' thought Naruto as he went to sleep.
Timeskip Months Later.
Naruto has been traveling from village to village and city to city gaining non combative skills such as lock picking, wiring, sewing and business management skills. Naruto has even published a book titled Draco The Warrior King, a story based on Alexander the Great and his life from this Naruto had gained a great deal of money from it's release. The book's sales are starting to rival his perverted no good godfather's book Icha Icha Paradise. Naruto for the most part is training in a rented training ground of a village that allows for Shinobi of various backgrounds to train just as long as they pay up front for the service.
Naruto is gaining understanding of his proximity sense as he had set up several traps along the way to test it's detection abilities. Naruto soon discovers he has a homing ability that allows him to home in on the area of danger or of interest. 'Okay let me see what power Alexander's sword grants me.' thought Naruto as he takes out the sword. Naruto practices with for the next hour or so discovering he has even more increased stamina but also his weapons handling with said Sword is superb as he was able to perform maneuvers with his sword that was identical to Alexander's own swordsmanship. Naruto discovers that the sword in it's super state can boost his bodies performance to newer heights. He also discovered that his sword also gives him even greater pain tolerance as Naruto had been bitten by a King Cobra he didn't see in time during the practice. The poison had soon burned away after the Cobra left. Naruto also discovered that his proximity sense didn't alert him. Which gives Naruto an understanding that while wielding Alexander's sword he is just about nearly invincible in combat. Naruto proceeds to leave towards his hotel to rest. Before he could reach his hotel he sees two women walking out of the local casino. One woman has blonde hair and hazel eyes. She had a distinct diamond in her forehead, She wears a green haori with a kimono style blouse that reveals her sizable bust to the world. she has blue pants and high heeled sandals. Next to her is a woman of a fair skin in a navy blue kimono with white trimmings and similarly wearing high heeled sandals.
In her arms is a well pampered pig. "Come on Shizune, let's get out of here before something bad happens" said the busty blonde as she looks at her student as she was pushing a cart full of money.
Naruto follows the to their hotel room. Naruto, seeing a chance, rushes in behind them pinning the blonde.
"Hello Tsunade, It''s nice to meet you" said Naruto as he has Tsunade in chicken wing hold.
"Who are you and what business do you have with me" asked Tsunade as she looks at Naruto with outrage.
"Well to put it I am Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze." revealed Naruto as Shizune and Tsunade are shocked at the reveal.
"Bull Naruto died during the Kyuubi's attack" said Tsunade as Naruto lets her up. "Oh well I have something to show you." said Naruto as he places a hand on both Tsunade and Shizune's forehead. Focusing Naruto went into his mindscape.
Inside Mindscape.
"What is this place." asked Tsunade as she looks at the heterochromic blonde in question. "This is my mindscape" answered Naruto as he gestures for them to follow him. Naruto soon comes upon Kurama being fanned by two Naruto look alikes.
"Ah Naruto kun, I am glad to see you and I see you have brought Tsunade Senju and her student Shizune Kato" said Kurama as the two look at Kurama with interest as she reveals her nine red tails.
"Kurama chan can you please show my memories to them" asked Naruto as Kurama nods in agreement. Tsunade and Shizune are in awe at what Naruto has been through from being nearly raped and killed to being experimented on by Orochimaru, as well as finding out that Minato and Hiruzen are scheming bastards. Tsunade and Shizune are more than shocked by this reveal.
Tsunade rushes Naruto hugging him. Into her buxom. She breaks the hug with tears in her eyes. "Your alive Naruto I can't believe you're alive" said Tsunade as she looks at her godson joy in her eyes. She looks at him with amazement at his appearance.
"Where have you been for all these years" asked Shizune as she looks at the blonde with worry. Naruto revealed to them that he has been learning the genetic memories of several warriors of the Shinobi and eras before the great cataclysm. Explaining how he is learning from each warrior as he goes on his journey of learning.
Both Kunoichi look at Naruto with awe as they are learning that he has access to knowledge of several warriors of different periods on a genetic level.
"So what do you plan to do to the village?" asked Tsunade, curious about her godson.
"I plan to get even by changing the leaf from something the corrupt figures can thrive from into something that the village as a whole can thrive from after I purge it's corrupt leadership and it's elements. The gods want me to turn the village into a proper military force. That's what I need to do. But there's something I need for you to do" said Naruto as Tsunade looks at him with a questioning look.
"What do you need?" asked Tsunade as she's ready for any request from her godson.
"Simply I need you and Shizune to get back into training so if the old fool is killed the village can have a highly competent leader in the proper place over one that can't be manipulated by the councils." asked Naruto as Tsunade sees the details of his plan to change the leaf from something that sacrifices patriots and heroes into a village where patriots and heroes thrive instead of dying for one old man's greedy cause.
"Okay I am in, I will gladly go back to training. I will hopefully see you again after the old bastard gets what he deserves for the lies he told." said Tsunade as everyone nods.
"Let's do it, Lady Tsunade. I want to see those bastard's vision of a strong village smashed to pieces and blown away from pages of history" said Shizune as she wants payback for her uncle's death and the Uzumaki's.
"Well that's good to know but before we can. I believe that Tsunade needs a tone up on her genetics" said Kurama as she sends some of her chakra to Tsunade that surges through her body.
"What was that." asked Tsunade as she looks at the humanoid Kyuubi.
"I made it so your regeneration doesn't damage your physical health anymore. It will also prove to be your greatest asset as it turned the clock back on you when it comes to training" said Kurama as Tsunade feels rejuvenated by the Chakra.
"Thank you, Kurama, I won't forget this action" said Tsunade as she bows to the Kitsune.
"Think nothing of it." said Kurama as they fade from the seal.
Back in the real world.
Tsunade, Shizune and Naruto are in full agreement on the plan, they go their separate ways for the plans for Konoha. Naruto goes towards another town so he could gain a job in said town as he does so he sees a gang of sharply dressed gang members hassling a girl.
Naruto rushes in and engages in a brutal brawl with the gang members. However while he manages to put up a great fight against them he was facing what seems to be expert martial artists. Naruto manages to fight them off but is greatly injured in the process as he has two kunai sticking in his side and leg. 'Hmm looks like I need to work on my skill and technique in martial arts' thought Naruto as he pulls the Kunai out of his side and leg. He goes towards a hotel after helping the girl to her feet.
Inside of the mindscape.
Naruto is going towards the library of his mindscape which has gotten bigger and more extensive in design. Naruto goes towards the sections of the genetic memories to find 6 people each one of them masters in the teachings of the martial arts. Naruto goes into the first one a memory of a warrior of what is known of the time as the French Foreign Legion. A Mercenary Army of sorts similar to the hidden villages only more so independent of their country and with different foreigners as legionaries. The man seems to be an instructor of the Foreign Legions regiments with skills in armed and unarmed combat being among the best of the Legionnaires in terms of being a master of hand-to-hand combat due in part of his practice of an unorthodox variant of French Savate called the Lion's method. Christopher has the ability of called fighting mind where the individual has all traits of a warrior amplified and enhanced.
The next master is Sonia Yoshimitsu, a woman who is an incredible master of Goarashi ( Five Storms) Jujitsu and a special agent of a group of warriors inside of the Fire Daimyo's court that acts as a personal paramilitary strike team called the Storm Shadows the answers only to the Daimyo's thrown itself himself. Apart from that she is a combat instructor of samurai both male and female. Sonia has two abilities known as optimal skill and efficiency, both of which deals with the efficiency in the use of skills and the efficiency of body functions.
Another master is Romulus Dragneel a man from another reality who hails from a race humanoid known as the Draco, a race that has similarities to humans but on a much greater scale with a difference being that they are more berserker-like and incredibly strong. Romulus in particular is from a nation known as the Talos, a society that has notoriety for being among the Draco's most skilled nations. Romulus himself is a master of complex martial arts known as the Thundra Arts. From what Naruto discovered he has enhanced attributes that closely rivals high level chakra users as well as animal senses and a berserker like battle state.
The fourth master is a man by the name of Thomas Sullivan, a former player of a sport called battle ball where the teams carry the ball towards a zone opposite to each other to score. The sport has limited rules of contact and from what Naruto sees it's more like a brawl. He sees that Thomas is a master level athlete who becomes an avenging street fighter after his girlfriend is raped and murdered by a group of mobsters. Thomas seems to have elite fighting instincts on top of an ability to go into berserker state of mind. His fighting style seems to be refined brawling cage and street fighting techniques.
Oliva Tomas is a practitioner of a nearly unbeatable gymnastic based martial art known only as Gym Kataken the ultimate fusion of Gymnastics, Karate and Street fighting moves. Her unique ability is a none-chakra based ESP that allows her better spatial and environmental awareness. She is a fierce police officer in the city of Detroit.
Lastly is a woman with similarities to Romulus but only that she is from earth. She was a genetically engineered human created to be the ultimate soldier. She was modified to be the ultimate killing machine for a rogue military group within the U.S. military. Naruto feels a deep kinship with the woman. This woman has no true name; she is best known as Dark Valkyrie. She is armed with superhuman attributes in the same ballpark as Romulus but with the benefits of being able to sense the intentions of individuals around her. She is armed with the combat skills taught to her by the group she uses her lethal martial and tactical skills as a drifting vigilante after her liberation.
"Okay lets go to work" said Naruto as he looks through all of the memories of each master.
Timeskip 12 months later.
Naruto has trained nonstop gaining new abilities from each of these masters.
From Romulus, Christopher and Valkyrie he learned the Thundra Arts military combatives and the Lion's method. Some of which Naruto found similar to Alexander's and Subotai's combat skills only more refined, ruthless and developed.
From Sonia he learned more efficient close combat techniques to use against single or multiple opens along with using better mobility and angling than overall strength.
From Sullivan he learned how to improve his fighting ability and moves. He also learned how to use more gangster related weapons such as brass knuckles, switchblades, and anything in the environment.
From Oliva Naruto learned acrobatics in conjunction with hand-to-hand combat akin to Taekwondo and Taido.
The genetically modified blonde however didn't just gain skills from the genetic memories. Naruto had gained all of their abilities but only at a slightly lesser degree but still significant levels. As they started to advance during his travels.
Tsunade and Shizune for their parts had gone back into their training improving where they were rusty and where they were lacking in. Tsunade had cured herself of her hemophobia after remember what her brother had went through.
At the moment a large group of bandits lay dead inside their small camp. As Naruto is clearing out what is truly a hidden leaf covert operations base for the leaf to increase bandit activity.
'Okay it's a good thing I am disguised during this raid. now to make sure the leaf isn't tied back to the leaf' thought Naruto as he goes on to destroy the camp and leave no trace of his existence.
With Tsunade and Shizune
The duo plus pig are in a spring relaxing after performing 58 to 100 surgeries. The two are thinking about how those in the leaf's government are going to be surprised and, in some cases, terrified by what's to come to their hopes when the return.
"Well here's to the future. Afterall we have some big plans for it" said Tsunade as she and Shizune toasts to what they have plan for the dawn of a new Konoha.
"Well Tsunade sama I believe we can bring that village back from the brink of darkness and to a new age." remarked Shizune as she drinks some more sake.
Elsewhere in Suna.
Temari has been thinking about our blonde hero without even knowing him. She has seen his face seeing into his unique eyes. Temari can be lost inside of those eyes forever if she wants to. She still blushes at his handsome face and physical build. At the moment she is painting a portrait of sorts the features a figure with similar heterochromic eyes.
'Who are you, my prince where can I find you in this world' thought Temari as she draws the face of the figure she has dreamed of for many years.
She looks at the face in wonder at how it looks. The subjects eyes are captivating to her as while she is a strong kunoichi but she deeply can't help to meet the boy of her dreams.
In Konoha
Tenten is thinking about her dreams as she feels them getting stronger and better she can only hope that she doesn't go insane about the figure inside of them it has been effect her focus lately for the past couple of months. 'I hope we meet soon warrior prince. For I can't stop dreaming about you and your sword.' thought Tenten as she sharps her sword.
Tenten isn't the only one who has been thinking about our blonde hero as one Satsuki Uchiha sister of Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha has been having dreams of a fierce blonde boy around her age with powers and abilities that have never been seen before. She is also curious about the blonde for reasons similar to Tenten.
Back with Naruto
Naruto is collecting a bounty on a pack of S rank wolves that has been causing trouble for local formers. Naruto at the moment is following tracks leading to a den. But what he finds is something he didn't expect the wolves aren't wolves at all but more like a clan.
"Who are you and what are you doing here" said a man as he and many of his fellow wolf men surround Naruto.
"I am Naruto I have been trying to collect a bounty on a wolf pack but I discovered something different" said Naruto as the wolf men smell Naruto to sense he isn't a threat but smells like fox.
"Tell me boy why do you smell like fox" asked the leader as he looks at Naruto.
"Have you heard of the Kyuubi No Kitsune" asked Naruto as the leader nods.
"Let me explain inside I don't like unwanted ears listening for what must be explained" answered Naruto as he walks inside of the den.
In Demon Country
Tundra and his clan has been waiting and taking missions to provide for their relocation to Konoha after Naruto sends a message to them. Tundra for his part had been training hard perfecting his skill over ice he thinks to how the blonde will provide them a more permanent place among Konoha so they may be free to grow.
'The future looks bright I can only wait for the adventures in our new home' thought Tundra as he resumes his practice after a short break.
End of Chapter
