Sam POV

I got the familiar scent of the same creature which I thought had disappeared. I looked around, it was on the land and it was on the beach where my loved ones were.

"Stay here" I told them and followed the scent. What I didn't expect to see was a young girl enjoying in the water. She was definitely not from around here. Maybe I should keep an eye on her, sure she wasn't a vampire but if vampires and shapeshifters exist then who knows what else does? I saw the immediate distress in the girls' eyes as she saw me coming. She got out of the water and wrapped a towel around her shoulders, sneaking glances at me.

"Hello there"

"Hi" she said with a forced smile.

"I take you aren't around here, Forks?" I asked hoping im not scaring her away or something

"Oh no, im not… I moved to Forks over a month ago" she replied relaxing just a little bit. Wait, didn't Billy mention about a 15 year old girl who moved next to Charlie?

"Charlies neighbor?" I asked, she chuckled shaking her head.

"Does everyone I meet from La Push know me?" she asked finally relaxing, there was something about her, my wolf was ready to bow down to her? What in the world?

"Well Charlie doesn't shut up about you?"

"Does he talk Good or Bad?" she asked squinting her eyes in a playful manner.

"He thinks of you as his daughter" she bit her lip and looked down.

"I think of him as a father too" she admitted with a soft smile. Oh hell. I already like her. (A.N: not like in a crush way guys)

"So are you all alone?" I asked

"Um yea… todays the spring dance, I stayed to go to the beach"

"Well me and my family have a more of a picnic sort of thing going on right now and do you mind joining us? what do you say…"

"Daniella but call me Dani" she said

"What do you say Dani? We've got plenty of food and space" she bit her lips debating her answer

"Yes please" she said with a bright smile.

"Come on!" I said turning toward the picnic and she grabbed her stuff, pulling her dress over in the process and followed

She kept closely behind me, we talked until we reached the picnic site and I continued like her more and more. Something about her was… irresistible. I walked up and kissed Emily.

"Emily, this is… my friend Daniella" I quickly looked to Daniella, Emily's wounds were still healing and I was expecting to see sympathy and fear on Daniella's face but instead what I saw was pure happiness and adoration. And Emily seemed to be reciprocating the act,

"Its nice to meet you Daniella" she said wrapping her arms around her

"Its so nice to meet you too but please call me Dani" she said. Dani once again hugged Emily which took her by surprise.

"Im sorry… you just make me happy for some reason. You are so nice" Daniella said. She was a weird but nice girl.

"Daniella?" Billy asked rolling over to us.

"Oh hi! Billy!" she said.

"Hello Dani, what brings you over?" he asked.

"I came to spend the day at the beach-" she said before I cut her off.

"And then I invited her over" he nodded in understanding.

"So Daniella isn't today the… um spring dance?" he asked.

"Yeah, but I really wanted to come over to the beach" she admitted "I don't know I feel so connected to this beach, some sort of attachment" she got lost in her thoughts for a second. Billy frowned in confusion but brushed it off. She snapped out of her thoughts

"Sorry. I don't usually zone out like that" she apologized

"Oh its alright… come on, lets introduce you to the others"

Dani Pov

Billy introduced me to the council members… harry, Quil and himself of course. I had finally met Charlies as I like to call it gang. I was super glad that I didn't go to the dance and that I didn't stay home wallowing over how lonely I felt or my insecurities. Now here I was laughing and enjoying myself. Since there wasn't any empty seats I sat next to Paul Lahote.

"Hi I'm-"

"Daniella, I know" for some reason his anger amused me.

"sorry that came out rude" I smiled at him.

"That's ok, I found your temper amusing" I admitted. what the hell? why am i being honest? He shook his head.

"Amusing?" I nodded.

"So Paul… how old are you? And Jared and Sam?" I said not really sure of their ages

"Um me and Jared are both 16 and Sam is 19" I almost spit out my drink.

"Are you being for real? This is great! You are just a year older than me!" I exclaimed, he looked at me in a confused manner

"Why is it great?"

"Obviously so I can hang out with you guys and it won't be weird" he rolled his eyes chuckling.

"You are weird" and I stuck my tongue out childishly which he stuck his tongue back.

"Besides who cares what others think anyways"

"Touché" I replied.

"Anyways what are you doing without your parents, you are 15 right?" ouch.

"Eh yeah um I am 15… I don't have… parents" his face drained as he realized what he asked from me.

"Shit, im sorry"

"Hey, its ok besides I have family now… not blood related or adopted or anything but family nevertheless you know"

"Like the pack…" pack? "I mean the guys… Jared and Sam" I smiled at him; he knows.

He wrapped one arm around my shoulder, and I think I made a friend.

We started talking about random things… movies and all turns out we have a lot of things in common. Before I realized it was night.

"Um guys I have work tomorrow so like I have to go" I said getting up.

"How are you gonna go?" Sam asked with concern. Wait how was I going to get home?

"Um ill find a cab or something" I said picking up my stuff.

"I'll drop you off" Paul spoke up.

"No you don't have too, its fine… ill manage"

"No I insist… please" he said. Oh darn it.

"Ok, thank you" I said grabbing my things. I said my goodbyes and followed Paul to his vehicle

The drive was silent, that's probably because I may or may not have fallen asleep a bit.

"Thank you Paul" I said getting off the truck.

"Do you want to come in?" I asked.

"No, I have to head back… council meeting" I nodded. He waited till I unlock the door.

Just as I was about to turn to say goodbye, I got shocked by what I saw instead of Paul's face. It was a dark silver wolf but just as it came it disappeared

"You ok there?" he asked.

"Um yea… I thought you looked like a wolf for a moment" shit. Why did I say that? His eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Um ill see you later Daniella, remember we have to hang out" I smiled and nodded as he got into his truck. I waved goodbye and closed the door.

Today was a long day huh.

A.N: DOUBLE UPDATE! so she has met the first shapeshifters of the Uley pack, what did you think of this chapter? honestly I'm now so ready to jump to new moon but don't worry guys, just a few more chapters and things will get interesting. And i know no one is asking but there is a reason why Paul and Sam already likes her fast (in case you haven't notice, she has that effect on almost everyone) and that reason has nothing to do with Jacob so like remember that.
