Malfoy was told to get Potter to the ministry by any means necessary, after finding out about the secret passage to Hogsmeade his father had sent him a portkey to bring them to the department of mystery, once he arrives, he was to wait until his father and the other death eaters showed up. Malfoy wanted to capture Potter but he knew he wouldn't be able to, somehow that half breed was stronger than he had any right to be, he instead focused on the two girls Potter spends all his time with, Looney and the mudblood.
Looney would probably be the easier choice, but Malfoy decided to focus on Granger, ever since their first year that mudblood had cheated to get the best grades and humiliate the pure bloods, she had been a constant thorn in his side so he decided to target her. Malfoy knew once Potter found out his mudblood was missing he would do anything to save her, he wasn't sure how he could capture her however he soon got his opportunity when an unexpected ally offered their help.
Hermione's POV
The day continued and Hermione wasn't sure what was going on, for some reason a lot of her stuff kept getting misplaced even though she thought she had them. She had lost her bag and later found it in the library even though she was certain she had it with her, she had even lost some homework and found it in her dorm. Once he snuck out Harry met up with Luna outside her common room and the two made their way up to the room of requirement, after walking back and forth three times and asking for their usual room the door soon appeared. Harry opened the door expecting to see Hermione sitting on a nearby couch and lost in a good book, however the two were confused when they walked in and saw the room was empty. Scanning the entire room Harry saw Hermione wasn't there, he checked the map again and looked at the library thinking she had forgotten the time but he didn't see her name. The two scanned the entire map trying to spot Hermione but the two started to worry when they didn't spot her name. Minutes passed and after scanning the map ten times over they hadn't spotted Hermione's name anywhere, Harry and Luna were starting to panic wondering where Hermione had gone.
Luna's next words however made Harry's blood turn cold, "Harry, where's Malfoy?"
Harry scanned the map and saw most of the Slytherins were already in the dungeon, he looked over the map and spotted the other Slytherins in his year, however he couldn't find Malfoy anywhere.
Department of Mystery
Hermione began to stir as she regained consciousness, she opened her eyes and saw she was in an unfamiliar place before realizing she was moving, she quickly realized someone was levitating her. Hermione tried to move but noticed her hands were tied up, she then heard the last voice she wanted to hear, "It looks like you're finally awake, mudblood."
Hermione turned her head enough to notice Malfoy was levitating her, she tried to speak but there was a hint of fear in her voice, "W-What's going on, where are we!?"
Malfoy smirked at hearing the panic in her voice, he felt there was no harm in letting her know what was going to happen. "We're in the ministry, more specifically the department of mystery. My father and the other death eaters will be here soon, once Potter realizes his mudblood is missing he'll be so focused on saving you that he won't realize he's rushing into a trap."
Hermione felt dread overcome her at hearing that, she tried to struggle out of her ropes but soon another voice caught her attention, "Don't bother trying Granger, I made sure you wouldn't be able to get those ropes off."
Hermione hadn't realized she heard a second set of footsteps; she turned her head to the other side and her eyes widened when she saw Cho of all people was walking alongside them. She didn't understand, as far as she knew Cho wasn't a blood bigot like Malfoy, she didn't know why she was here.
Cho looked at her and could tell what Hermione was thinking, she gave her a smile and said "It should be obvious Granger, I was told Malfoy wanted to get rid of you and Looney so I offered to help him, he needed me to get you alone where none of the portraits will see, he then stunned you to bring you to the ministry. Shocked by her words, Hermione thought back to all the times she saw Cho glance over at Harry, she knew Cho was interested in Harry but she thought Cho had gotten over her crush after last year when she started dating Cedric. Hermione spoke up, "W-What are you talking about, you dated Cedric last year, I thought you weren't interested in Harry anymore?!"
"The only reason I dated Cedric was to try and make Harry jealous, unfortunately you and Looney got in my way. When I came to Hogwarts, I was excited knowing Harry and I are close to the same age so I would finally get to meet him, unfortunately he got sorted into Gryffindor and he was always spending his time with you and Weasley. I had to watch as you clung to him every chance you could, during his second year I thought that was my chance to get close to him after everyone abandoned him, but you were always by his side, then in the great hall you two kissed. I was seething with anger when that happened, I never got the chance to approach Harry because you always kept him to yourself, I can be so much better for him so I should be the one who should be with him, he deserves so much better than some buck toothed bland bookworm like you and a mental airhead like Looney!"

The two continued to walk and Hermione tried to struggle out of her ropes but felt they were too tight for her to escape, she tried to cast a spell wandlessly only for it to fail. They continued through the department of mystery and Hermione had noticed many unusual rooms, normally she would be fascinated but right now she was more focused on trying to escape. They soon walked through another door before she heard Malfoy say "There it is."
Hermione twisted her neck enough to look around and saw it was vast and empty room, it almost looked like the room had been built around something. Her focus turned to the middle of the room and standing there on a top of a rock formation stood what looked like an ancient archway, what caught her attention was the tattered white cloth, she could see through the cloth as it fluttered despite feeling no breeze in the room.
They started to approach the veil and Hermione tried desperately to struggle out of her ropes, Malfoy saw this and started to chuckle before saying "This is all your fault mudblood, you should have learnt your place a long time ago, I told you what will happen when you go against your betters!"
They stopped before the veil and Malfoy lowered her to the ground, before she could try anything Cho had her wand trained on her. She noticed in the girl's other hand was her wand, Cho noticed where her attention was and raised her wand up to show her, the girl wore a smug grin and without saying a word suddenly tossed her wand. Hermione tried but couldn't move to grab it, she saw her wand go through the veil and vanish instead of falling through the other side. Hermione examined the veil and felt fear overcome her, she could hear what sounded like distant voices coming from it, she couldn't understand what they were saying but she felt like it was trying to draw her in.
Suddenly Malfoy shoved her and knocked her back towards the veil, she nearly tripped but managed to stay on her feet, she stopped just before the veil. Malfoy approached and had his wand trained on her, he gave a cruel smile at seeing the panic and fear on her face. He canceled the silencing charm before saying "I want to hear you beg, mudblood, beg for your pathetic life, apologize for offending us with your very existence, come on, I want to hear you scream!"
Malfoy cast a cutting charm at Hermione that cut across her right cheek, Hermione let out a scream at the pain and Malfoy started to cruelly laugh. Hermione did her best to hold in her scream and Malfoy was about to cast another spell, he was about to cast the cruciatus spell when suddenly he heard, "DRACO!"
Draco turned to the direction of the voice and saw someone had appeared, his eyes widened when he recognized her and said "Mother?!" Narcissa Malfoy approached the three, she had a somber look when she saw the scene before her. Draco asked "What are you doing here, where is father?"
"I overheard what your father was planning to do, Draco, you can't go through with this."
Surprised by her words Draco frowned and said "What do you mean?"
"Draco, this is not what I wanted for you, you are going down the same path as your father, I don't want to see you become the same kind of horrible person he became."
Draco became angry at her words and said "Father is a great man; he is someone who demands respect and is what a pureblood should be!"
Narcissa raised her voice, "He is a monster, your father has done many horrible things while serving the dark lord! I have heard about what he has done including what he did to earn his dark mark, I was forced to stay quiet but now he's trying to put you on the same path, I cannot stand by and let my son become the same kind of vile man he became!"
Draco was shocked to hear his mother speak about his father that way, he saw his father as a great man so he snapped at her, "Do not speak of father that way! Everything he has done was his right as a pureblood! I know of what father has done and I would be proud to follow in his footsteps, he and the dark lord will get rid of all the filth in our world and set it right!"
There was a sudden loud slap as Narcissa had struck Draco, she was disgusted to hear he knew about all the rape and murder his father committed and was horrified that he wanted to follow in his path. Narcissa wanted better for her son but she could see how much his father corrupted him, she had to try and stop him.
Narcissa yelled "The dark lord has done nothing but destroy everything the purebloods believe and made them worse! His followers are not what proper purebloods should be, they commit horrible acts believing it's their right as purebloods but they are nothing more than shameful degenerates! A proper pureblood should never act in such a manner!"
"And what would a blood traitor like you know about being a proper pureblood?!" Narcissa was stunned by his words, she saw his glare was directed at her and it reminded her so much of Lucius. Draco continued "You try to tell me to act like a proper pureblood but here you are trying to save the life of a mudblood, a mudblood doesn't belong in our world, their only purpose is to serve their betters!"
To her shock Draco turned and suddenly grabbed Hermione and pushed her close to the veil, Narcissa knew if Draco killed her then there would be no chance of saving him, she yelled out "Draco, no, stop!"
It was too late as Draco let his anger take control and he shoved Hermione through the veil. In her final moments Hermione tried to stop herself but there was nothing she could do, dread spread through her as her life came to an end, her final thought was about Harry and Luna.
Cho watched the entire interaction in silence, she hadn't expected Malfoy's mother to show up but kept her wand in her hand in case she needed it. She kept her wand trained on Hermione in case she thought of trying to escape while the mother and son argue. She listened to the argument happening before her before Draco made the sudden decision to finally push Hermione through the veil, while she had hoped to cause her some more pain first, she was at least glad Hermione was gone. She heard the two continue to argue but Cho decided her role in this was over, she started to head back in order to return to the school, now she just needed to think of a plan to get rid of Luna then Harry would be all hers.
There were sudden loud cracks of apparition that caught all of their attention, Narcissa cursed under her breath, she had hoped she had managed to delay Lucius long enough to stop Draco and get them out of there before they showed up. Cho had been quick to cast a disillusionment charm on herself before hiding, she had heard stories of what death eaters do to women and even though she had helped them she didn't want to take the risk.
Lucius raised an eyebrow at seeing his wife was there along with their son, he looked around but didn't spot Potter or his mudblood. He approached the two and asked "Draco, what is going on here?"
Narcissa tried to think of something to say but Draco immediately told his father what had happened. Lucius was upset at hearing Draco had already pushed the mudblood through the veil, he was supposed to let them torture her first, however his anger was then directed at Narcissa at hearing what she had said to their son. Lucius focused his anger towards Narcissa and it made the woman flinch, as he began to slowly approached her, he began to say "You would dare defy me and interfere with my plans, have you forgotten what our marriage contract said!?"
Narcissa took a step back knowing what Lucius would do to her, he suddenly grabbed her by her blue dress and tossed her to the ground. Lucius pulled out his wand and continued, "I believe you have outlived your usefulness, now that you have given me an heir it means you are nothing more to me. This act of defiance needs to dealt with; I believe you know what comes next."
Hogwarts
Back at the school both Harry and Luna were starting to panic, they searched over the map but couldn't find Hermione anywhere, when Luna pointed out that Malfoy was also missing Harry knew he had to be involved. He was ready to rush down to the Slytherin common room and interrogate Malfoy's friends but Luna quickly stopped him, she explained, "Even if you got to Malfoy's friends, we won't be able to get anything out of them, all it'll do is give Umbridge a reason to get in our way and cause more problems!"
Harry hated to admit it, but she was right, he knew rushing in would only make things worse, "Then what should we do, the map can't find her, and we haven't seen her since dinner, Malfoy might have gotten to her and we don't know what they could be doing to her!"
Luna tried to think of something, she knew they needed to find Hermione as soon as possible, while Harry kept pacing back and forth, he mentioned calling Sirius and seeing if he could help. Hearing that, Luna got an idea and said, "Call Dobby, since he's bonded to us then he should be able to find Hermione!"
Harry had his mirror out and was about to call Sirius when Luna suggested her idea, he realized Dobby could find her, "Great idea! Dobby!" The two waited but nothing happened, Harry tried calling again, "Dobby!" There was still no sign of the house elf, Harry was confused since Dobby always appeared when he called him, he called out one more time, "Dobby!"
There was a sudden pop before they heard a thud, they turned around and saw an injured Dobby collapsed to the ground. "Dobby!" Both Harry and Luna yelled and rushed over to the house elf, Luna picked him up in her arms and checked on the injured elf, they could see Dobby was severely injured.
The elf struggled but they heard him say "Harry Potter… Dobby must… warn Harry Potter."
Harry asked "Dobby, what happened?"
"Dobby was… attacked… Dobby heard… bad plans… Dobby must… save Harry Potter's… Hermione."
The two were shocked at what they heard, Luna pulled out her wand and cast episkey on Dobby to try and help heal his injuries. Harry asked Dobby to explain and Dobby did his best to explain, "Dobby was watching bad Malfoy heir and overheard bad heir planning something. Dobby heard bad heir would kidnap Harry Potter's Hermione, Dobby tried to find Harry Potter, but Dobby was attacked by bad elves. Dobby was badly hurt, Dobby doesn't have much magic, Dobby heard Harry Potter call him and came to help Harry Potter."
The two looked at each other surprised by what they heard, Harry asked "Where did he take Hermione?"
Dobby answered, "The ministry."
Harry felt a chill run through him at that, thanks to the information Sirius told him about the order meetings he knew the prophecy was in the ministry. Harry realized they kidnapped Hermione to lure him to the ministry, he grabbed his mirror and called for Sirius, soon his reflection vanished and he saw Sirius appeared on the mirror. Sirius yawned but said "Harry? Don't you know what time it-"
Harry cut him off, "Sirius, Hermione has been kidnapped, they took her to the ministry!"
Sirius seemed to wake up at that and said "Explain," Harry explained everything from Hermione missing on the map to what they found out from Dobby, Sirius cursed under his breath and said, "Alright Harry, listen, I'll tell the order and we'll head to the ministry, I'll contact you as soon as we have her!"
Harry felt upset that Sirius told him to stay out of it, he spoke up, "Sirius, I can't just-"
"I mean it Harry," Sirius cut him off, "They'll try and use you to get the prophecy, we can't risk the prophecy falling into Voldemort's hands! We'll head to the ministry right away, stay there and wait until I contact you!"
Harry wanted to argue but he could see Sirius wasn't going to back down on this, he told him "Fine," Then deactivated the mirror. Harry did his best to calm down before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a shrunken trunk, with a tap of his wand the trunk changed back to a normal size and Harry opened it to grab his invisibility cloak.
After grabbing the cloak, he closed the trunk and shrunk it again before making his way towards the door, Luna called out "Harry, where are you going?"
Turning back, he answered, "I'm heading to the ministry, the Three Broomsticks should have an active floo so I can head there right away. I'm not going to wait around while they have Hermione."
Luna, stood up while still healing Dobby, she said "I'm coming with you." Harry thought of telling Luna no but she spoke up, "You'll need me to help you, we've practiced a lot together so the two of us should be able to protect Hermione long enough for the rest of the order to show up."
Seeing the determined look on her face Harry agreed, before they could leave however Dobby spoke up, "Wait," Dobby pushed himself out of Luna's arms and managed to stand up, Dobby looked at the two and said, "Dobby can take you to the ministry."
Surprised, Harry said "Dobby, you barely have any magic at all, you need to rest."
Dobby shook his head and said, "Dobby wants to help his family, bad elves in Hogwarts won't let Harry Potter and his Luna leave, Dobby will use his magic to help Harry Potter and his Luna save his Hermione."
Dobby held out his hands to the two, they could see the house elf was being stubborn and wanted to help. Harry and Luna looked at each other, they shared a silent conversation before they both came to an agreement, turning back to Dobby they agreed and took hold of his hands. Dobby struggled but pushed his magic to go through the Hogwarts wards and bring the two students with him, both Harry and Luna felt they were suddenly squeezed through a tube that lasted for a few seconds before they suddenly landed. Harry managed to avoid falling but Dobby collapsed when they arrived, they saw they arrived in the atrium of the ministry.
Harry bent down and picked Dobby up and thanked him, he placed Dobby to the side and told him to rest while they went after Hermione. With the cloak still in his hand Harry covered himself and Luna and the two moved to the lower levels of the ministry.
Harry remembered his way to the department of ministry, with the dreams he had and his memory of his trial he felt it was impossible to ever forget it. In the department of mystery Luna marked all the doors in the circular room as they searched each one, they had seen many unusual rooms, but they continued to search for the hall of prophecy. As much as Harry hoped they would have gone unnoticed sadly with all the doors opening and closing the death eaters realized he was there. He heard one of them mention his invisibility cloak, although he was confused when one of them tried to cast a spell to reveal his location but nothing happened. The two followed the direction the death eaters came from and it led them to the hall of prophecy, they then heard a voice call out "This way Potter."
They followed the direction the voice came from; Harry felt his anger rise up when he heard it was the voice of Lucius Malfoy. As the two followed where the voice came from Harry cast a silent muffliato and discussed a plan with Luna. They heard Lucius call out to them again, soon they arrived at where Lucius was standing in front of a prophecy and next to him was Draco, he saw it wasn't just them as there were several death eaters there with their wands out.
As much as Harry wished he could attack the Malfoys, he knew the other death eaters would immediately cast in their direction, he decided to speak up, "Malfoy."
All the death eaters raised their wands, however Lucius raised his hand and gestured for them to lower their wands. Lucius looked at where the voice came from and said, "Come out Potter, we have much to discuss."
Harry and Luna held their wands tight before Harry pulled off the cloak and quickly stuffed it back in his pocket. Luna kept an eye on the death eaters behind him while Harry faced Lucius, they heard a mad cackle before hearing Bellatrix speak in a baby voice "Aw, Potty bwought his little girlfwiend," Her voice became harsher, "The little blood traitor Looney Lovegood."
Harry stayed weary of the madwoman but focused on the Malfoys, he spoke up, "Where is Hermione!?"
Draco spoke up, "You're not in the position to speak Potter!"
Lucius held up his hand to stop his son, he turned to Harry and said "Now, now, Potter, let's calm down, you'll get her back once you give us the prophecy."
Harry glared at the older Malfoy and said, "How do I know you haven't done anything to her, I want to see her!"
Lucius gave a smirk that Harry couldn't read but he felt it wasn't something good, he responded, "I can assure you Potter, none of us have caused her any harm. You'll be reunited with the girl as long as you comply and hand us the prophecy."
Harry and Luna glanced at each other for a moment before they gave a slight nod, Harry lowered his wand but didn't put it away. Lucius smiled at this and grabbed Draco by his shoulder and the two moved away from the prophecy behind them, all the death eaters had their wands ready in case Harry tried to do something. Harry glanced around at them before he and Luna slowly moved to the prophecy, Luna continued to guard his back. Harry read the label below the prophecy before taking a deep breath, remembering what had happened to the last person who tried to retrieve it Harry slowly reached for the orb. He placed his hand on the orb and felt a slight shock that seemed to vanish as quickly as it appeared, he guessed the magic recognized the prophecy was about him. Picking it up, Harry stared at the swirling bluish mist in the orb, he then turned around and saw all the death eaters were surrounding them with Lucius and Draco standing before them.
Lucius smiled and held out his hand and said, "Hand over the prophecy Potter."
Harry tightened his grip and said, "Not yet, first I want to see Hermione."
Lucius frowned slightly and said "I said once you-"
Harry cut him off, "The word of a death eater is worth shite to me, I won't hand over the prophecy until you show me Hermione is ok!"
Many death eaters looked at each other and waited for Lucius to give the signal to move, Lucius sneered at Harry's demand but before he could speak Draco spoke first, "I'm afraid that won't happen Potter, your little mudblood is already gone."
Harry raised his wand and aimed at Malfoy and the death eaters raised their wands as well, Harry glared at Draco and demanded, "What the hell are you talking about Malfoy, where is Hermione!?"
Lucius tried to get the situation under control but Draco wanted to taunt Harry some more. "Tell me Potter, have you ever heard of the veil?"
Harry heard Luna gasp at that, he looked at her and saw she looked shocked and covered her mouth, she must have known what he was talking about as she whispered "No."
Draco gave a cruel smile and said, "Anything that passes through the veil is gone forever, and anyone who crosses through dies, they can never return."
Harry felt his eyes widen in horror at what he heard, his hand started to shake at what Malfoy was implying, his voice shook when he spoke, "Y-Y-You d-didn't…"
Draco's smile grew as he said, "I pushed your mudblood through the veil, she's gone."
In Harry's mind flashbacks of Hermione suddenly flooded his mind, she had been his best friend ever since he came to the wizarding world, he fell in love with her, she made him a better person. His mind thought back to the day he slipped his ring onto her finger and promised he'd marry her, he could still see the look of love on her face and a few tears of joy she shed, he wanted to scream and call Malfoy a liar but he could tell it wasn't a lie, he was never going to see her again.
Harry began to shake as he felt some tears come out, he soon felt nothing but anger and hatred when he heard Malfoy's annoying laughter, Harry wanted Malfoy dead, he snapped and without warning cast an overpowered bombarda at Draco. The distance between them wasn't far but it seems Draco was prepared, he had kept a hand in his pocket this whole time and when he saw the spell, he immediately touched the portkey he had and vanished before Harry's spell could hit him.
Lucius was quick to cast a shield to protect himself, Harry's spell struck the shelves behind them and injured a few death eaters. This made the other death eaters finally move, they were about to cast but Luna cast first, she silently cast a lumos maxima and caught the death eaters by surprise and blinded most of them. She canceled her spell then grabbed Harry's arm and yelled "Run!"
The two ran past the death eaters, despite being blinded many of them turned and cast in their direction hoping to hit them, they dodged the spells and Luna was quick to cast a spell at the shelves making them fall over and distract the death eaters. Harry wanted to fight back but Luna had tightened her grip on his arm and wouldn't let go, they soon reached the door out of the hall of prophecy and rushed through it, Luna was quick to slam the door and cast several spells to seal it and try and slow them down.
Harry pulled his arm free of Luna's grip and said "Luna, we can't just run, not after what they did to Hermione!"
Luna tried to grab him and said, "We have to get out of here, we can't fight back against them!"
Harry pulled his arm away and said "We can't, not after-"
Harry stopped when he got a proper look at Luna's face, she had tears running down her cheeks but she was trying desperately to hold back the rest. Luna spoke in a shaky voice, "W-We c-can't, t-t-there's t-to m-many, I-I don't w-want to l-lose you t-too."
Harry pulled Luna into a hug, of course hearing about Hermione being gone would hurt her too, Harry felt his own tears were about to come out, but he managed to hold them back. He spoke up, "Y-You're right, l-let's go," He knew after this they would take the time to properly grieve.
The door was suddenly blasted open and Harry and Luna quickly raised their wands, several spells were cast in their direction but the two were quick to put up shields. They turned and ran to try and reach the exit, Harry let Luna get ahead of him while he aimed and fired his own spells back at the death eaters. They passed through another doorway but then Harry made the mistake of slamming the door closed, he was about to cast spells to reinforce it but suddenly the room spun and he realized where they were. The room stopped but they weren't sure which door the exit was, they picked a random door and hoped they were lucky but they saw it was the time room, before they had a chance to pick another door one of them was blasted open so they had no choice but to rush in.
Harry looked around the room to try and find another way out, he cursed himself for getting them trapped like this. He told Luna to look for an exit while he focused on the door, it didn't take long for the door to be blasted open. Harry immediately cast several cutting and blasting charms to try and stop the death eaters from entering, unfortunately they were quick to cast their own shields and rush into the room. Harry began having to dodge and quickly try and deflect any spell sent at him, he could see the death eaters were more of a challenge than he thought they would be. Luna spotted a way out and called out to Harry, Harry decided to quickly cast another lumos maxima and blind as many as he could before rushing over to Luna.
One of the death eaters managed to shield his eyes in time, when he spotted where the two were going, he was quick to fire a blasting curse. The curse flew past Harry and hit the path they were moving in; the blast was closer to Luna but thankfully neither of them got hurt and the only damage was a destroyed cabinet. The two quickly fired back their own spells before rushing through the door, unknown to them whatever was in the cabinet had gotten onto Luna.
The two continued on until they reached a vast empty room with the only thing in it being the ancient archway in the middle, when Harry saw it, he knew almost right away that he was looking at the veil Malfoy mentioned. With the room being big enough many death eaters apparated inside, Harry and Luna tried to fight back but soon they were both surrounded, the death eaters stopped fighting but they kept their wands trained on the two. Harry and Luna kept their guard up although Luna felt like something was off with her, soon Lucius stepped forward with his wand still raised, he spoke up, "That's enough Potter, hand over the prophecy, now!"
Harry's eyes scanned the room trying to find a way for them to escape, the death eaters were spread out enough to prevent them from trying to run, he looked for anything he could use but all he noticed was what looked like fresh blood on the ground and a blood-soaked blue cloth, he wondered what happened. He noticed Bellatrix approached while holding a knife in her hand, the madwoman cackled before saying "You've got nowhere else to go Potter, I'm going to enjoy having fun with you and your little blood traitor girlfriend."
Lucius spoke up, "This is your last chance Potter, hand over the prophecy and we will let you go."
Harry knew almost instantly that was a lie, even if he complied, he knew they wouldn't let them go. Harry glanced at Luna as the two weren't sure what to do, they couldn't escape and they couldn't let the prophecy fall into Voldemort's hand. Harry came to a decision; he slipped his wand back into its holster before holding out the prophecy to Lucius. Lucius smiled at seeing Harry was giving up, he approached and extended his hand to take the prophecy, however Harry's eyes hardened, in a swift move he threw the prophecy at the ground with enough force to shatter it.
Lucius and many death eaters yelled no but couldn't stop it, the prophecy shattered on the ground and the smoke inside it dispersed. Harry flicked his wrist and caught his wand and tried to cast a spell at Lucius, however Bellatrix was quicker and cast a spell that knocked Harry back closer to the veil. Harry felt hurt by the impact and Luna rushed to his side, Lucius was enraged and aimed his wand at Harry, the torture curse was on the tip of his tongue when there was a sudden crack of apparition next to him. Lucius turned only to have a fist crash into his face, Sirius felt a satisfying crunch when his fist broke Malfoy's nose, suddenly several more people apparated in and Harry saw it was the rest of the order.
The order began to fight the death eaters and Sirius was quick to cast a spell at Lucius sending him flying, he turned to Harry just as Luna helped him up, their eyes met and Harry knew they were going to talk about this later. Sirius was quick to dodge a bone breaker curse sent at him before seeing an enraged Bellatrix approach him, Sirius couldn't resist his next comment, "Hello dear cousin, I wasn't expecting to see you here, normally you would be too busy kissing lord Volde's arse."
That comment enraged Bellatrix and the two started dueling, she shouted "A filthy blood traitor like you has no right to say his name with your disgusting mouth!"
"I don't even want to imagine what part of him you've had in your mouth."
Bellatrix began to cast deadly curses at Sirius, but the marauder was quick to dodge and deflect them, he soon started chaining several spells together in an attempt to overwhelm Bellatrix.
Harry watched the fighting going on around him, it looked like the order was putting up a better fight, suddenly his attention was drawn when Luna doubled over in pain, he moved to her and said "Luna, are you ok, what's wrong?"
Luna looked at him and said, "I don't know, something feels off with my body."
Harry wasn't sure but he thought Luna looked slightly different from earlier, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye and quickly pulled Luna out of the path of a curse. Another death eater appeared and was about to cast another spell at them, Harry stood in front of Luna and raised his wand to fight, suddenly a spell came from nowhere and struck the death eater knocking him out. Before Harry could try and find where the spell came from, he noticed Sirius was struggling, despite her years in Azkaban Bellatrix was still a skilled and feared witch.
Harry quickly moved and fought alongside Sirius; Bellatrix was forced to dodge Harry's cutting charm but then had to move since Sirius cast a bone breaker curse. Bellatrix glared at the two and cast a bone breaker at Harry only for Harry to deflect the spell at another death eater and take them out, he heard Sirius praise him and even call him James.
Lucius struggled to pick himself off the floor, his fall wasn't painless and he could feel how bloody his nose had become. He noticed the fighting happening around him and saw the death eaters were struggling, he looked towards the veil and spotted Harry and Sirius fighting Bellatrix, his attention was then drawn to the shards of glass on the ground as he remembered what happened to the prophecy. Lucius glared at seeing they failed at retrieving the prophecy, he knew the dark lord would be displeased and would give out harsh punishments for failure. Lucius noticed Harry and Sirius were giving Bellatrix trouble before a realization hit him, Sirius was fighting close to the veil. As a Slytherin Lucius recognized an opportunity when he saw one, the goblins told him Sirius was the current lord Black but since his son is the only male heir then once Sirius dies then Draco will inherit everything. Lucius waited for the right moment, he needed to catch Sirius off guard and he realized how he could.
The duel with Bellatrix seemed to be coming to an end, with Sirius and Harry fighting side by side they were starting to push her back. Harry glanced around and noticed how many death eaters had already been defeated, he knew this was their chance to weaken Voldemort's forces and capture most of death eaters. Harry had just dodged Bellatrix's next spell and was about to cast his own when suddenly Lucius appeared and raised his wand, he noticed the spell and quickly shut his eyes just as Lucius cast a lumos maxima, the spell caught Sirius off guard though. Luna saw this and closed her eyes in time, despite the pain her body was in she tried to raise her own wand to disarm Lucius.
Lucius canceled the spell and aimed right at Sirius, Bellatrix saw her opportunity and aimed her wand at Sirius. Harry opened his eyes in time to see Lucius cast a spell that impacted Sirius with enough force to knock him back towards the veil, Harry felt his world begin to move in slow motion as the spell knocked Sirius back into the veil. Harry remembered what Malfoy had said earlier about the veil, he realized he was about to lose his godfather. At the same time Sirius entered the veil Bellatrix's cutting curse struck Sirius.
Harry acted without thinking and in a desperate attempt rushed towards the veil, he shouted, "Sirius!"
Luna had seen what happened, her disarming charm hit Malfoy but his spell had already been cast, she watched as Harry was about to lose his godfather before seeing Harry rush in after him. Luna, having already lost someone precious to her earlier, couldn't stand to lose Harry too. Harry dove after Sirius just as Luna had done the same, the two fell into the veil after Sirius.

Harry's eyes shot open as he yelled and sat up, he scanned around only to see nothing but darkness. He noticed he was sitting in a chair and facing an empty seat, he remembered what had just happened and again scanned his surroundings hoping to spot Sirius or Luna, unfortunately there was nothing.
"Greetings, Harry Potter."
Harry turned to where the soft feminine voice came from and he saw someone standing there, he was certain she wasn't there just a moment ago. When he got a good look at her he saw she was an angelic beauty with long silver hair and beautiful sapphire eyes, he noticed she had a somber expression on her face though. The woman sat down in front of him, she tried her best to give him a smile but the same somber expression was still on her face, Harry asked the woman, "W-who are you, where am I, what's going on?"
The woman bowed her head for a moment before saying "Allow me to introduce myself, I am the goddess Eris, I am sorry to inform you of this but you are dead."
