Lana is young when she gets lost and ends up in Remanent. After she runs away from her abusive husband, Team RWBY and Team JNPR take them in. They train Lana for the Vital Festival Tournament then she is given her Huntress license. Lana is destined to become a great Huntress.

This story will have major spoilers to both volume 3 and the third movie to KFP. The death of Pyrrha envelops Ruby in a flash of light, but as the light fades she finds herself in a world different from Remnant. Can the new friends she make there help her find a way home?
