FOB in Greece

9:00 PM

The sun slowly began to set on the Olympic stadium as Cole Baker, a man with dark hair and a growing beard, was walking up to the stadium to support some of his fellow operators who were participating in the event that Six calls "The Program". This program was designed by Six as a way for operators to bond with one another and it results in four teams of 10 operators working together to win a competition in the stadium. From his time in the SAS Cole knew these ideas of team bonding will overall benefit Rainbow as a whole, but his only concern with this idea was Harry turning this whole experience into a competition. While some competition was good, Cole felt that many operators weren't actually taking this competition seriously and only saw it as nothing more than a game. He dismisses those thoughts as they only served as hypotheticals that lead into more questions without a concrete answer. As he continued to walk, he could hear a voice calling to him from behind.

"Hey Cole! Wait up!" He turned to see a relatively short girl with red hair run up to him before catching her breath. "Going to watch both Caveira's and Kali's teams compete?"

"Yeah, figured I would. Why do you ask, little red?" He ruffled his sister's hair.

"Hey! Stop that!" She pulled her arms up to her head to get him to stop before pouting a little. "I was gonna ask if you wanted to sit with me and dad once we got into the stadium?"

He let out a quiet sigh when she mentioned Mike would be sitting with them. While his relationship with Mike improved during their time on Rainbow, it still wasn't in the absolute best shape. He tolerated Mike enough that he could be in the same area as him without many issues.

"Sure I guess." He said as she smiled at his answer.

"Great! Let's go!" She grabs his hand and pulls him up the stairs of the stadium. They found Mike in the stands as he gave them a simple wave.

"Summer. Cole." He greets them as the two sit down near him.

"Who do you think is gonna win this year dad?" Summer curiously asks him.

"Hmm, I personally think Taina's team will pull through. The lass has matured over the time she spent working with this group of operators and it clearly shows. But both teams appear to be evenly matched, as much as I don't like to give NIGHTHAVEN any praise." Mike explains to her as Cole chuckled.

"You and I both. I just don't understand why Six would even try to recruit a PMC into Rainbow. Aren't they only in this for the money in the long run?"

"That's what I believe personally. Bloody mercenaries don't belong in Rainbow." Mike stated. "And not to mention that Kali has been trying to recruit some of our own operators into NIGHTHAVEN."

"Yeah, I've been noticing that recently. She tried convincing me and Keiko to join their PMC, but we politely declined her offer." Summer replies which surprised both Cole and Mike.

"Christ almighty…" Cole mutters under his breath. "I see what she's trying to do. Trying to poach some of our own personnel all for herself. Makes me wonder if she's planning on cutting ties with Rainbow with the way she's been trying to pluck away our operators."

"I wouldn't be surprised if she would. I'm sure Eliza might know more. Lass has been constantly watching them to learn of their true motives." Mike adds.

"At this point, who knows. But let's just watch the event for now guys and enjoy ourselves!" Summer suggests.

"Too true little red." Cole chuckles a little as the three proceed to watch the event their fellow operators were participating in.

The simulation starts off strong as Caveira's team has Sledge breaching open a wall with his sledgehammer and Blitz takes point as the team encounters a hostile enemy in the form of Aruni and Wamai. Blitz blocks their bullets with his ballistic shield as he begins to close the gap between the two teams. Zofia launches a concussion mine a good distance away from Blitz as both defenders are caught in the blast. Disoriented, Zofia and Blitz use this opportunity to gun down the two with relative ease.

Meanwhile, Pulse was behind a wall on his cardiac sensor keeping tabs on the enemy team. He takes out a nitro cell and sticks it to the doorway and steps into cover. He waits to ambush as Blitz enters the room and he detonates the explosive device. Blitz falls over as Pulse takes a quick shot with his pistol to eliminate the operator. Lion immediately takes a shot at Pulse while calling on his drone to scan the perimeter. An operator was picked up by the scanner as Ela appeared from a different doorway and pinned the team down with Pulse. Sledge tosses a frag towards Ela as she dodges out of the way and fires a shot that eliminates Sledge before retreating back. As Sledge drops to the ground, Hibana throws a flash bang that blinds Pulse and takes a shot that eliminates him. The remaining attackers then push forward towards the bomb.

Smoke was patrolling the halls outside the bomb site as several smoke traps were placed down just in case an unsuspecting attacker would walk by. He hears footsteps coming towards him as he hides behind a wall and waits. Hibana comes up a flight of stairs and carefully scans the area. A few moments pass as Smoke detonates one of his canisters and Hibana is greeted by a large smoke cloud that engulfs her. Coughing from the sudden inhalation of vapor, Smoke then swings from his cover and shoots her directly in the stomach, taking her down instantly. Hearing that it's down to two operators, Zofia and Lion stay together as they close in onto the site.

Lion activates another scan and is able to detect the movement of Smoke as he shoots down the operator before he could activate another smoke trap. Ela hears the gunfight as she veers into the corner and shoots down Lion with three shots to the abdomen. Zofia hears this as she launches her last grenade at the wall to create a hole as she begins to shoot while Ela dodges the bullets. Down to the two sisters, both reload their weapons before attacking.

Both strike at the same time as Zofia grips Ela's arm and forces her to miss her shot. Ela attempts to regain control as Zofia swings her into a wall and locks her arm into place. She then proceeds to kick Ela through a barricaded door as the latter retreats back into the next room. Zofia gives chase as Ela lays an ambush. Tossing out one of her mines, Zofia is suddenly concussed as she two have a brutal hand to hand fight as Ela lands the first punch to her sisters face. Zofia then grabs Ela and puts her in a chokehold against a table before preparing to shoot her. Ela, with all her might, then turned the tables by punching Zofia square in the chest and then pushing the both of them out the glass barrier. The barrel of her pistol was on Zofia's chest as she pulled the trigger and a loud buzzer sounded throughout the stadium.

All attackers eliminated! Team Kali wins!

"Hmm, guess I underestimated the abilities of Kali's team a little." Mike comments.

"But it was really close. It just seems that Ela had the better strategies." Summer states as the three clap for the winners.

*Timeskip*

As the event was wrapping up, many of the operators were chatting outside of the stadium about the match and the outcome. Cole was chatting with Summer and Mike when Kali called out to her team as the NIGHTHAVEN operators walked over to her.

"Alright team, let's take our new recruits and leave this place." She states as five other operators begin to walk towards the spot NIGHTHAVEN was. The first three to head over were Jack, Lera and Monika. Ela was the fourth to walk over when Zofia grabbed on her arm.

"Ela! Father would be ashamed of you!" She states her disappointment as Ela rolled her eyes.

"Father died, Zofia. And you left me alone." She pulls her arm away and walks over.

The last one to walk over was James which caught his fellow SAS operators by surprise. Mike had an expression of anger on his face as he stopped James for a moment.

"What in the bloody hell ya doin' James!? Why on God's green earth would you join up with them!?" Anger was laced in his voice as James sighed.

"With the direction Rainbow is goin' Mike, I feel like our enemies ain't gonna take us seriously anymore. We're an anti-terrorism unit, not the fuckin' Olympics." He explains to Mike. "Many of our teammates treat Harry's program as nothing more than a game, so I don't see us reaching our full potential here. It wasn't an easy choice for me to make, but I feel like joining up with NIGHTHAVEN will allow me to reach my full potential. I personally would suggest that you all come with me, but it's your choice to make."

"Like hell I would. I would never place my trust in a PMC you god damned traitor." Mike says glaring daggers.

"Say what you will Mike, but I've made my decision." James laments as he turns to Cole. "What do you say?"

"I'm sorry James…but I can't trust NIGHTHAVEN. I just don't agree with their ideologies at all." Cole expresses his disappointment. "While I'm shocked to hear that you want to join them, I won't stop you. Just be careful while you're out there."

"You know me mate. I'm always careful." He says as the NIGHTHAVEN team entered a few vehicles and drove away.

"To think she could walk away with a few of our bloody own." Mike comments. "Damn mercenaries."

"I find it hard to swallow too. Makes me wonder how Six is reacting to it." Cole questions before turning towards both Mike and Summer. "Regardless, we can't do anything about it. For now, let's just head on back. It's getting late."

The two nod as they leave the stadium and back towards Rainbow's military base.
