Chapter 1: Return of the League (1):
Batman's POV:
My name is Bruce Wayne...but you know me by a different name. I am Batman. I was on the Bat Computer. So far, there hasn't been much crime lately.
"Maybe it finally donned on them that you won't bother them if they stop bothering Gotham," says Alfred.
"Maybe."
"If you're looking for something to do, Master Bruce, you could always talk with your old friends, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg."
"The League broke up for a reason, Alfred."
Once, we were the world's finest heroes. We fought opponents like Steppenwolf, Kanjar Ro, and Starro. But then there was an incident and the League decided to separate. Then I finally got something on the Bat Computer. It was Superman and he's fighting his archenemy, Lex Luthor. Luthor's the poor man's version of me. Superman needs help.
"Well, Sir, this looks like a job for Batman," says Alfred. I looked at him. "You're right, that is more of Superman's thing."
I then got in the Batmobile and drove off.
. . .
I arrived just in time. I saw Superman and Luthor fighting. Luthor was using some kind of metalic rip-off of Superman's suit.
"I just came to visit Batman," says Superman.
I attempted to jump in, but then I was attacked by Deathstroke the Terminator.
"Slade," I said.
"Hey there, Bruce." I was surprised. "Lex told me your real name."
While Superman was fighting Luthor, I took on Deathstroke.
"Slade, time to go," says Luthor. Luthor and Deathstroke then teleported away...with Superman. I then slammed my fists on the ground out of anger.
. . .
Superman and I have our differences. He believes in Truth, Justice, and the American Way, while I was always on the path of vengeance. But that just means he's a better man then me. He's probably the best of all of us and now I have to save him.
"What do you suppose that reject from a mad scientist movie could be up to," asks Alfred.
"Good question, but I intend to find out. I got something. Luthor and Deathstroke took Superman to the Arctic. They might be in Superman's Fortress of Solitude."
"Either that or Santa's workshop," says Alfred, jokingly.
"I better go."
"You might need some help Sir."
"I'll be fine."
Alfred's POV:
Bruce Wayne is more then just my employer... though, I wouldn't mind a raise. He's like a son to me. And I refuse to let my son face the greatest criminal mind on Earth alone. I decided to make some calls. Though, I do feel they could use one more.
"Hey Alfred," Dick Grayson came in.
"Master Dick..." I then had an idea. "How would you like to help the Justice League?"
"I'm kind of done with the whole Boy Wonder thing."
"Master Dick, you could save Superman from Lex Luthor."
"Well, when you put it that way... but I've outgrown Robin."
"True..." I then remembered something Master Bruce was working on.
Batman's POV:
I then landed my Batplane in the Arctic. I then heard something. It sounded like another plane, but I saw nothing, which means one thing. Wonder Woman.
"Hello Bruce," says Wonder Woman.
"Diana."
Aquaman and Cyborg then came out.
"What up B-Man," says Cyborg.
"Hey there Bats," says Aquaman.
"What are you all doing here," I asked.
"You said you needed our help," says Wonder Woman.
"Alfred!"
Then Flash showed up. "Hey guys. Wow, it's like a Justice League reunion."
"Except we broke up," says Aquaman, "so, where's Superman?"
"He's not dead again, is he," asks Cyborg.
"Luthor has him," I said, "and I'm going to save him alone!"
Then we saw something else.
"What's that," asks Flash.
"The Flying Fox," I said, "but who could be driving it?" Then someone came out. He was wearing the Nightwing suit I was working on. I recognized him. "Dick?"
"Hey Batman," he says, "woah, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Aquaman!"
"I'm here too," says Cyborg, "good to see you again, Baby Hands."
"That's what I get for moisturizing," says Dick.
When Dick was Robin, he and Cyborg were part of a previous team of heroes, the Teen Titans.
"What are you doing here," I asked.
"I'm here to help. I'm Nightwing now!"
"Luthor's a dangerous man," I said, "plus Deathstroke's with him."
"Then it's a good thing we're here to help," says Wonder Woman.
"Yeah, I wanna save the Man of Steel," says Flash.
They weren't leaving. "Fine, follow me."
"Hey, how come I don't feel cold," asks Nightwing.
"The suit can handle cold temperatures," I said.
"Cool."
. . .
We arrived at the Fortress of Solitude. Luthor used his suit to use the key to unlock the door. We entered.
"Check this place out," says Flash.
"There they are," says Cyborg.
Luthor had Superman strapped to a machine.
"Think of it this way," says Luthor, "there'll be more like you... once I clone you."
"He wants an army of Supermen," I said.
"Soon, I will have a Super Army and then nothing will stop me!"
"And my payment," Deathstroke asks.
"In due time," says Luthor.
I then threw a smoke screen The area was filled with smoke, and we arrived to take them down.
"The Justice League," says Luthor, "I thought you were done!"
"Ever heard of sequels," asks Cyborg.
"Hi there," says Nightwing, "the name's Nightwing."
"You're Robin, aren't you," asks Deathstroke.
Nightwing pauses. "Maybe."
The machine was already active, and clones came out... but they looked freaky.
"Kryptonian DNA's harder than I thought," says Luthor.
The clones then went on a rampage, and we had to fight against them. Nightwing goes over to Superman and manages to free him.
"You okay," asks Nightwing.
"Yeah," says Superman, "now, let's take these things down!"
Superman then flew towards the clones and knocked them down. The clones then got back up. I tried to use Kryptonite, but it has no effect on them. Wonder Woman then throws an end of her lasso to Superman, and they tied up the clones. Flash then spun around them so fast, they got dizzy and fell.
"Luthor and Deathstroke got away," says Cyborg.
"We should look for them," says Aquaman.
"So, is the Secret Sanctuary still available," asks Superman.
"Let's go," I said.
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, Luthor and Deathstroke attack the Secret Sanctuary. It's the start of the Advanceverse. They can do TV Tropes of the Advanceverse Fanfictions. Yes, those clones are a reference to Bizarro.
