Chapter 2: Wild Thing:

Donnie's POV:

Adam and I were at my house. "So... he really was raised by apes," asks Adam, "wow."

"I understand your skepticism," says Mom.

"It is a little hard to believe," says Adam.

"Hey Adam, got something to show you," I said.

. . .

"Welcome to the garage," I said.

"Woah, roomy," says Adam.

"Well, our vehicle can't really fit in it," I said.

"Yeah, I noticed," says Adam.

The comvee is parked outside.

"Sometimes, I like to jam," I said. I then started playing my guitar.

"Now you're talking," says Adam, picking up a bass guitar. We then started jamming together.

"Hey, you guys mind if I join you," asks Charlize. She then picks up a keytar.

"I want in too," says Piper, picking up a tambourine.

"Count me in," says Nathan, going to the drums.

"You guys know wild thing," I asked.

Donnie/Friends: Wild thing, you make my heart sing
You make everything groovy, wild thing
Wild thing, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
Come on and hold me tight
I love you

Wild thing, you make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing

Wild thing, I think you move me
But I wanna know for sure
Come on and hold me tight
You move me

Wild thing, you make my heart sing
You make everything groovy, wild thing
C'mon, c'mon, wild thing
Check it, check it, wild thing!

"Well, I didn' know we had such talented musicians here," says Dad, "you lo' will surely impressy a lo' of girls and boys!"

"Actually, I'm not really interested in either male of female," says Charlize.

"Oh, well, you'll also break a lo' of hearts than," says Dad.

I then had a thought and imagined how impressed Anna might be. "Guys, we should form a band," I said.

"This about Anna," asks Adam.

"Yes," I said.

"Why not," asks Charlize.

"My parents have told me I should have more fun," says Piper.

"I wanna impress the chicks," says Nathan.

"So, you guys in then," I asked.

They were all in.

. . .

Now, we just need to think of a name for our band.

"So, what can we call ourselves," asks Adam.

"I'm not sure," I said, while sitting on the table, eating a banana. Then I saw a fly and jumped around, trying to catch it, breaking things along the way.

"Donnie, what was that," asks Mom.

"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... nothing," I lied. Everyone looks at me. "What?"

"The Wild Ones," they all said.

. . .

Next was trying to find a gig. "I got it," says Adam, "Crystal Faulkner's throwing a party! Maybe we can talk to her about doing a gig there!"

"Crystal Faulkner," asks Piper, "no way! I've had this huge crush on her! Besides, I don't think she's choose a band that litterally just started!"

"I saw we give it a try," I said.

. . .

We then talked to Crystal Faulkner. "The Wild Ones," asks Crystal, "I don't know..." She then looks at Piper. "You know... I think I can make this work. It's tonight. Don't be late." She then walks away.

"That was easy," says Piper.

"It's because she likes you," says Charlise.

"Shut up," says Piper.

"We got a gig," I said.

. . .

We were getting ready for the party. "So, you think Anna's gonna be there," I asked.

"You should give up on her, Man," says Adam, "she's got that whole sophisticated thing going on... and you're eating out of the trash!"

"Who would throw away a perfectly good banana peel," I asked.

"People," says Adam.

"Guys, I think our band should have a symbol," says Charlise.

"I know what we can use," I said.

. . .

My parents dropped us off in the comvee. Our symbol was the sign language for family. Everyone looks at me. "It's a family thing," I said.

. . .

It was time for us to perform. "This song is Wild Thing," I said, "it's not original, but it's the only song we know."

The Wild Ones: Wild thing, you make my heart sing
You make everything groovy, wild thing
Wild thing, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
Come on and hold me tight
I love you

Wild thing, you make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing

Wild thing, I think you move me
But I wanna know for sure
Come on and hold me tight
You move me

Wild thing, you make my heart sing
You make everything groovy, wild thing
C'mon, c'mon, wild thing
Check it, check it, wild thing!

Everyone cheered. "Hey, you guys were amazing," says Crystal, "and I just became your biggest fan!"

"That's really swe-" But Crystal cuts Piper off with a big kiss and then walks away. "Wow!"

We then bowed to our audience.

In the next chapter, Donnie starts to notice something wrong with Piper's crush.
