Humphrey rise from the wheel of his truck as he look up towards the house something was telling him to go and talk or apologize to Serena but he needs to find another job.

He hope she still be here until he gets back, he won't blame her if she didn't, how he treated her just then had no excuses, he sighed as he start his truck, he took one last look at the house before driving out the driveway.

In the House, Serena was looking out a window as the truck left, her ears flattened, She wish he didn't leave her alone she always hated to be alone even when he had meeting and had go in at his old job she used to pace back and fourth in the house until he got back.

{I'm sorry...} she whispered with tears building in her eyes.

Serena got up as she looked at the breakfast he had made for her, she sat down at the table unable to hold the tears, she really mess up this time she thought, she looked at her half eaten pancakes as she started to think about Humphrey.

{Hope he doesn't hate me} Serena said with shaky voice about ready to cry again.

Serena finished her now cold pancakes and then went outside to get some fresh air.

Once outside she sat on the steps as she stared into space becoming more depressed, she slowly let her emotions out as she cry into her knees.

{I'm so sorry, Humphrey} She cried out her tears dripping on the sidewalk.

{Whats with the waterworks} A female voices said making Serena to look up to see a Liepard laying on a neighbors fence, Serena quickly wipe her tears.

{Loona, N-Nothing} She lied as the Liepard jump down walking toward her.

{I may be not be part psychic type like you but I know your lying} The Liepard Loona purred not falling for her lie.

{You want to talk about it?}

Serena shake her head {No I'm fine really}Her voice was shakey trying not to cry again.

{Is it about your human}

{...}

The Liepard glared at her, {What did he do} her voice almost sounded cold.

{He didn't do anything!... but I did.} The Liepard looked at the Delphox.

{What do you mean?}

{I made him loose his job} She admitted her ears flattened as she looked down with shame in her eyes.

The Liepard still looking her with eyebrow raised, {I may not be familiar with human terms but how was it your responsible for that?} Loona asked curious.

{Well I asked him to take me to that restaurant I wanted to go and his boss called cause he wanted him to do something for him and Humphrey didn't get it done and he yelled at me... and, and it was all my fault-} Serena explanation was jumbled and with a shakey voice as she had another round tears coming through.

The Liepard could only put a paw on her shoulder {I highly doubt it was all your fault}

{Why does it feel like it is?} Serena said her voice shakly.

Liepard smiled warmly trying to make the Delphox better, {Its not Serena, You and I know that I bet he doesn't think that either, you two with eachother for how many years?}

Serena looked at her still tear still dripping down her muzzle until she wipe them off {Thirteen-} she replied still with a shaky tone.

{I just don't want him to get rid of me} At the moment the Delphox receives a small paw smack on the head feeling a slight pain Serena rubbed her head {Ow! what was that for?} she whines looking at her.

{For saying dumb stuff like that, you know he will never do that}

Serena still rubbing her head {I guess your right, I still have that fear... I don't know what I would do if Humphrey wasn't in my life...} Serena sighed her ears flatten.

The Liepard smiled as she giggled making Serena look up at here {What?}

{Its sound you really like this Human} The Liepard purred still smiling making the Delphox's demeanor change {I don't like in that way... I just... I mean yeah we been together for long time but it ain't like that, Loona!} The Delphox stammered trying to hide her blushing face.

Loona giggled {Well it sure looks more than just Trainer and Pokemon} Her statment made the Delphox blush even more making her look away from the Liepard, {Loona! stttooop!} She said hiding her face with her huge ears making the Liepard laugh.

{I'm just kidding, Serena, but am serious Serena he will never leave for something like this, he cares for you deeply}

Serena looked down her depression expression coming back {I hope so...} Loona nudged her with shoulder. {He wont, now when comes back you better makes up with him} Loona commanded with half playful tone as she jump back on the fence.

{I better get going before my humans notice am gone} With that she left the Delphox with her thoughts.

Serena sat there outside for awhile as the sun was started to set making her to go back in, her mind was flooded with Humphrey hoping he didn't get into any trouble or didn't leave her but she remind herself what Loona said to her, she sat on sofa waiting for him, she hated when doesn't know where he at.

{I just hope he doing alright} She says looking at the clock as it was slowly hitting 8:30.

Meanwhile with Humphrey, Humphrey was walking back to his truck he just been into twelve interviews today and still haven't found a single job yet, they either didn't want help or what made him even more mad, he didn't meet the requirements for the job.

"Just fucking great" He cursed as open the door to his truck and sat inside sighing.

"I just want something, I would take a job where I got to clean tiolets but I probably don't meet those requirements for that too since I don't meet the ones for flipping patties" he rolled his eyes as he start his truck before going driving away, he was getting a bit hungry so he stop at a cafe where he went in.

"Humphrey!" A loud voice call out from the kitchen of the cafe making him rolled his eyes with a small smile.

A man looking the same age as Humphrey came out the kitchen he wore a white apron under it he blue jeans and blue shirt with logo saying "Bit Mon" on it he had glasses.

"Chris?"

"Yeah man it been a long time hasn't it" Chris chuckled a bit

Humphrey shook his head "Not long enough"

Chris rolled his eyes knowing he was kidding "Oh come on man I know you miss me, haha"

"Heh, so how long you been working here" Humphrey asked.

"I just started actually, my father told me if I didn't get a job or go to college he kicked me out"

"Really dang"

"Lets go get you a seat" Chris said making Humphrey to follow him as they sat down at empty booth.

"So tell me, whats new" Chris waited for him to speak but he saw his expression.

"I got fired recently" He responded his face darkend with shame.

"Fuck dude am sorry dude, why"

"Oh l was supposed to do something for my boss and he gave me a impossible schedule to do it" Humphrey told him.

"Sounds like your boss was a asshole"

"Asshole is too nice for him, more like fucked up bastard" He added with a frown.

Chris laughed "Well thats one way to describe him."

Humphrey nodded and then a small silence fell between the two until Chris spoke up again.

"So... how is your Braxien doing" he asked Humphrey making him look at him a bit.

"She not a Braxien anymore, she a Delphox now"

"Really now, dang dude congrats on her evolving" Chris chuckled.

"Thanks"

Chris smiled as he went close to him "So you and her?" He asked with smirk.

"What no no we ain't together not like that" Humphrey stammered making Chris's smirk wider.

"Really nothing going on between the two of you, after all time?" He asked Humphrey making him blushed.

Humphrey remember that he used to talk to Chris about Serena, they still were in school when Serena was a Braxien, back then She was so childish, almost annoying to deal with but she was also flirty towards him which made Humphrey grew a small crush on her but she evolved into a Delphox on the last day of highschool and when he came back from graduation and saw her, he couldn't hardly breathe when he saw her, Serena became a stunning, beautiful Delphox and with her evolving she loss her childish and annoying side, she became mature sweet and most of all, hot, and not because she was a fire type.

"Hey Dude, Earth to Humphrey... you in there..." Chris said making Humphrey come back from his throughs.

"Was you thinking about Serena?" He asked with a chuckle.

"Wha... no okay maybe"

"Why have you not asked her out, I thought since you don't live with your mother I thought you be all over her"

"Its sounds weird when you say that" Humphrey's comment made Chris chuckled again.

"But answer my question, why do just ask her?" He asked again making Humphrey sighed and then paused for a moment.

"I... I don't know maybe because I'm scared of rejection or maybe she might think I'm weird or she doesn't feel the same way towards me" Humphrey said looking down.

"Oh come on dude, you two been together for how long?"

"Since I was seven"

Chris blinked his eyes, "Oh wow thats a long time"

"You think? Like we know eveything about eachother"

"And you worried about about her rejecting you"

Humphrey sighed before looking down again. "None of that matter anymore, she probably hates me now..."

"Why what happen?"

Humphrey cover his face with hands "I yell at her!"

"Why?"

"When my boss called and fired me, I took it on Serena and now, she probably hates me or worst probably wants to leave me" Humphrey said depressed.

"Bro dude, why do you think that"

Humphrey look up at him, his eyes almost with with tears. "I don't know, I just have the feeling"

For the first time Humphrey saw Chris expression got serious as he sighed and then spoke. "Listen Humphrey, You two been though alot together from your dad leaving your mom to shit at school you been into for just having a 'feminine' Pokémon, I don't think Serena would hate or leave you, she very loyal to you and what I hear she very loyal to you, so I don't think a small outburst from you will ever change anything between the two of you"

Humphrey taken aback by his seriousness but he then nodded. "I think your right maybe... maybe am just little paranoid" Humphrey simply said.

"A little? dude your above 'little paranoid' "

Humphrey and Chris shared a laugh together "So now... are you going order something or am going have to get my manager to kick you out" Humphrey chuckled as he finally order something then with nodded Chris left to get order.

Humphrey look at his clock it was going on nine o' clock he sighed knowing most of the businesses is going be closing soon he didn't get a new job but aleast he could patch thing with Serena... hopefully, Chris is right she always been him even if things looked bad at times but Serena stood by him always and hopefully for the rest of his life, he cares for her and want to anything and everything for her.

Humphrey saw Chris coming back with his food as he sat a hamburgee with some fries on the side. "You might want to hurry we about close soon" Chris told him as he sat down a glass of water by him.

"Oh almost forgot..." Chris went into his pocket and pull out a poster.

The poster had a 'help wanted' on it "You might like this" he then slide it towards Humphrey so can get a better look at it.

The poster reads 'Help wanted at the Daze City Pokémon Rehab and Reserve no experience needed but it would be necessary for the job' It says more but Humphrey expression change into a gratefully look as he looked up at Chris, he made small smile. "Hope this helps, I always known you like Pokémon and throught this job would be up your alley" He repiled his smile never faded.

As Humphrey look back at the poster and back at him he quickly got up and hug him "Thank you!" He broke the short bro hug "You mind if I take this to go?" He asked him looking at his meal, Chris quickly nodded and ran to get a bag for him, Humphrey quickly put the food in the bag and was about to head out before looking back at his friend.

"Thanks again" He thanked him gratefully with wide smile.

"No problem but promise me to get this job and... patch things with Serena, Okay!"

Humphrey nodded and ran out the door to his truck, tossing his take out on the passenger seat he quickly went to find this so call Pokémon Rehab and Reserve place, knowing Daze is a bit a drive but he didn't care he going get this job even if it kills him.

"Wish me luck, Serena" he said to himself and then drived to Daze City.

After a decent long drive he arrived at the city as he looked around to find the location, he soon spots a big building, the building was moslty made of red bricks with couple of windows possible where most of the offices might be located, it wasn't long for Humphrey find a parking spot he parked and exit out his truck as he walk towards the building which tower over looking it was two floors up.

"Dang place is big"

Humphrey enters the building as he look around he saw medals and trophies everywhere looking they were from Pokémon battles as he looked a picture of a Girl Trainer with a Lucario standing for the picture, a voice behind scare him.

{May I help you?} It was feminine voice, looking back Humphrey saw a Lucario looking at him.

Humphrey stay silent before he clear throat "Yeah... I was wondering if I can talk to the whoever is in charge of this place" He said nervously making the Lucario smile.

{Well you talking to her} She said with a small cute smile making Humphrey look at the Lucario.

{What? didn't think a Pokémon couldn't in charge of a place like this} She said with with a bit sassy and her paws on her hips.

"What... no no no I was just surprised" Humphrey stammered.

{Surprised?}

"Well... yeah it not everyday a Pokemon in charged of something" He admitted.

"I didn't mean to offend you or anything, honestly" Humphrey said looking at the Lucario.

The Lucario demeanor softly a bit as she heard the sincere in his tone, she then chuckled {I know, I get this a lot}

"It kinda cool not going lie, a Pokémon being in charge of a place like this" He looked around the big lobby making Lucario smiled

{Why thank you, now what can I help you with Mr?}

"Humphrey, just call me Humphrey" He introduced himself.

The Lucario nodded. {Well Humphrey, my name is Sarah, So what can I do for you this late at night.}

Humphrey then remembering what he was here in the first place, he quickly pull out the poster out his pocket. "I was wondering if can get a job...here" He gave the poster to the Lucario.

{Oh yeah almost forgot I put these up last week!} Sarah said grabbing the poster out Humphrey hand.

The Lucario looked at Humphrey almost studying him {Tell me Humphrey, have you been around Pokémon before} She asked reciving a nodded from the Human.

"Yes I have in fact I have a Delphox named Serena, she been with me since she was just Fennekin"

Sarah looked a Humphrey with a smile {You two must have a strong bond together}

Humphrey looked away from the Lucario gaze as he rubbed the back of his neck. "You could say that"

{Well Humphrey how about you and your Delphox Serena come back tomorrow morning and I think I got some spots for you two, I could also give you a tour and train you guys, If you don't mind}

"So wait we as in both me and Serena got a job... here" The Human making sure he was hearing her correctly.

Sarah only nodded. {yes we need all the help we can get}

"But don't I have to do paperwork or a background check or something?"

Sarah shook her head. {No we don't do paperwork here, as for the background check... I can sense a person aura and you... I can sense no ill intent from you}

"I just dont know what to say, Sarah thank you"

{No need to thank me, I should be thanking you, well then you better head back home I better see you two here around eight thirty} She said in a commanding tone making Humphrey nod.

"Right I see you tomorrow" With that Humphrey left the lobby with a huge smile on his face he couldn't wait to tell Serena, he got into his truck and drove home.

{I hope I see you again... Humphrey} Sarah said before leaving the lobby as well to her office.

Back with Humphrey, He was getting closer to home he was nervous about going back there as he got closer to home, pulling up in the driveway, he stop and stare at the dark house remembering the look on her face when he left he should of stayed a patched things up before he left, he felt stupid for not doing it.

"Serena..." Humphrey then got his truck and went towards the door, it was lock so he pull out his key to unlock it, inside it was dark so he turn on some lights he then walk to the kitchen seeing the plate still laying from this morning, he grab it and put in the sink washing it before it off to the side.

He then walk in the living room nobody was there he went to her room going down the hallway he stop at the door he stop a few inches away from doorknob but he open it slowly, the room was dark the only light was from the hallway and his shadow on the back wall of Serena's room.

Looking inside he saw his Delphox sleeping peacefully in her bed he can almost hear the soft snores coming from her making him melt inside a bit from the cuteness.

Serena was sleeping with her large fluffy tail as he looked over to her nightstand he could a empty box of pokepuffs.

Humphrey took a deep breath as he enter her half dark room the soft snores getting louder as he got closer, not wanting to wake her just yet he stare at his Delphox think for a moment to think of something to say to her, Humphrey then sat at the edge of her bed.

The movement made the Delphox stir from her sleep, her blue eyes open to see him at the edge of bed {Humphrey?} Her voice sounded horsed.

"H-hey, Serena" Humphrey smiled weakling.

Serena sits up rubbing the sleep out her eye {Your back}, Humphrey nodded.

"Yeah I am"

A moment of silence fell between the two before.

{Humphrey} "Serena" they both said at the same time, Serena ears flattened.

{Y-You go first}

"Okay... Serena I just wanted to say sorry" Humphrey looked away from the Delphox, he didn't want her to see the shame in his eyes.

"For how I acted, I shouldn't yell at you I was sad and mad at the same time at my boss, I shouldn't take it on you, I wouldn't blame if you hate me or you wanted to leave me..."

Serena then grab for his hand with her paw making him to look at her {Humphrey I dont hate you in fact it quite the opposite... and I not going to leave you...} She paused before looking away, blushing but Humphrey couldn't see it {you are the only thing I have in this world, if I didn't have you I don't know what to do}

"Serena..."

{I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I made you to take me to that stupid restaurant, if I didn't you probably have more time to finish that thing for your boss and you wouldn't get fired and none of this would of happened}

"Serena chill, Its not your fault you ain't the one fell asleep on that desk, I'm the one at fault here, I mess up not you, you wanted to go there and I glad I took you, we had fun didn't we?"

{But...}

"ah lets just forgot about it, okay" Humphrey said slightly in commanding tone.

{Okay...} Serena said still with sad tone.

"Now... I have some good news" As he said that her ears perk up before looking at him with a hopeful look on her face.

{Like what?"} She asked.

"Well... long story short, got a new job now"

Serena then hugged Humphry surprising him {Thats wonderful...} Serena then broke the brief hug. {oh sorry, I mean thats great Humphrey}

"heh, Yeah it is am not the only one who has the jump"

Serena tilted her head like a curious dog making Humphrey smile even wider, {What who, what you mean by that}

"Well I can give you a big hint, she right infront of me"

{Me?} Serena was shocked what she just heard, she always wanted to work with Humphrey like spend more time for him and now dream was about come true, she saw Humphrey nodding confirming her.

"Yep! if thats alright with you of course..." Humphrey asked her hoping she accepts the offer.

It wasn't long till Humphrey heard {Yes I would love to work with you, Humphery}

"Really?"

Serena nodded making the human happy, seeing his happy expression she could help but to match it with her own, she always wanted to work with Humphery at his old but couldn't since his boss didn't like Pokémon, saying there were animals and be in there poké balls all the time.

{Should we get some sleep then} Her statment knocking Humphrey out his small daydream state making the Delphox giggle, he shake his head before nodding "Y-yeah right we need get up around eight remember that, okay" Humphrey got up from his spot starting towards the door, he looked at the clock seeing it was twelve o' clock.

{Right okay I wake you up just incase you over sleep} Serena giggled making Humphery rolled his eyes a bit.

"Okay... I guess... I see you tomorrow morning?" he added nervously making Delphox look at him with a bright smile.

{Yes you will... Night Humphrey}

Humphrey smiled as he about head out her room. "Night Serena" he said before shutting the door quietly leaving with a smile on his face.

Serena covering herself getting back into bed she to had a smile on her face she was blushing a bit thinking about would be in store for the two of them and the fact she going spend more time with Humphery made her go back into a peaceful slumber wrapping her tail around her holding it like a body pillow she finally fell back to sleep.

Back with Humphrey he was walking to his room with a smile on his face he did a small slient fistbump in the air "yes" he whispered before walking by his old office, the memories of the morning coming back to him he grab the doorknob and shut the door he has no use for this room anymore with that he left and headed into his room.

In his room he took his shoes off too tired to change he faceplant into his pillow it wasn't long he fell asleep with smile on his room, he can't wait to see what tomorrow would bring Serena and him

Going making something clean one of you asking if the last part was a dream scene, yes it was sorry if i didn't make it clear I was trying going for one those dream scenes where both of you guys and the main character doesn't know if it was a dream or not sorry if I didn't make that clear.
