Chapter 22: Wild Park:

Donnie's POV:

We were all looking at the old, abandoned Indigo Park. "So, what happened to this place," I asked.

"I hear the owner was crazy," says Adam.

"I hear it was vandals," says Nathan.

"I'm sure it was just a budget thing," says Piper.

"Either way, it might be haunted," says Charlize.

"Only one way to find out," I said.

"Donnie, are you going to do something stupid," asks Adam.

"Oh yeah," I said. I then decided to enter.

. . .

I took a look around the place. What did happen here? I then found the fuse. "Hi there and welcome to Indigo Park! The world's most innovative and engaging family fun experience! Jump into the world of your favorite charg- Wait! You're our first guest in 2920 days, 4 hours, 23 minutes, and 38 seconds! Congraduations! I'm Rambley! Rambley the Raccoon and it's my job to make sure your experience here at Indigo Park is the most fun it can be! Just hop on to the registation center... to your left where our friendly assistant will help you begin your adventure in the park!" I then walked to the registation center. "Hi, I'm Rambley, Rambley the Raccoon and it's my job to make sure your experience here at Indigo Park is... resgistered! Let me just get a look at you! Hmm, I don't seem to have your face in our guest list." Like he can even see me. "Is this your first time here at the park? Or did you just get plastic surgery? No worries! It's Rambley Tuesday, so you qualify for a BIG discount on your visit! Just follow me to the main gate! Ooh, I can't wait for you to see everything Indigo Park has to offer!" I then walked out.

. . .

I was then at the main gate. "What's the hold up," asks Rambley, "the gate is open! Hold on... My mistake, the gate is NOT open! There seems to be an error message being sent from the gate's power unit! Lucky you! You get to be the first person to try our 'Turn on the Generator Mini-Rambley-Venture'! Have fun!"

. . .

"Ah, the Indigo Violet Compact Power Generator," says Rambley, "but it seems to be inoperable! Looks like it's missing a piece! Can you find it?" I then found the missing gear and placed it in the machine and it started working.

. . .

The gate opened and I walked through. "Welcome to Indigo Park," says Rambley. I took a critter cuff so I can get through this place.

. . .

I then arrived at the railroad, but the entrance behind me was blocked off, somehow. "Do you know why RAMBLEY the Raccoon loves RAMBLEY'S railroad? 'Cause I like trains." I then got on the train and it started moving.

. . .

"Welcome to Rambley's Railroad! I'm Conductor Rambley!" Then the train moved on. "Oh look, it's Molly Macaw!" The train then moved on from her. "Oh Finley, come on out and greet the people!" Finley then comes out. Then the train suddenly stopped! I had to get it up and running! I then found the missing gears and put them back where they belong.

. . .

The train was moving again. Rambley sighs. "Hey there Lloyd..." Lloyd proved to be a real ham.

. . .

The train stopped, but I don't know where I am. There's just this metal door. It opened and I saw these monitors. "So, whaddya think," asks Rambley, "pretty fun, right?"

"I just wanna know what happened here," I said.

"Now you know all my friends... and Lloyd."

"Forget it, you're just an AI, you have no idea what I'm saying," I said.

"So, where do you wanna go," asks Rambley. I then left the room.

. . .

I was searching around the park. I then saw the theater. I figured I should check that place out. I then ran to it, but I couldn't get in. "Hey Buddy, come over here," says Rambley. I then ran to the source. "This here's an information kiosk! If there's anything around the park you wanna ask me about, just stop by here and I'll ramble on about it!"

Finally! Something! I then looked on, but there's nothing about what happened to this place! "Well, this is useless!" I then walked away.

I then found Jetstream Junction, but it was locked. "There's a security entrance in the back of the theater," says Rambley, "maybe a friendly rangler will help you get in!"

I then returned to the theater and this time, I got in!

. . .

I was in the theater, but... there was a lion, sleeping on the stage! The lion then got up and ran away! How did a lion get in here? Unless... "Lloyd?"

"Hey Buddy, I've got eyes on the park," says Rambley, "but I can't see anything behind the stage. If you're going back there, be careful. You may not come back!"

I then went back stage and saw that lion sneaking around. It couldn't be Lloyd! It looked nothing like him! It looked like an ordinary lion! Still, I didn't hear anything about an escaped lion! Maybe the park kept him here for entertainment. I started walking and this place is really creepy! The lion then came out and tried to get me, but some boxes fell on him. He was trapped and then left. I continued walking. I then found a way out and I was in an office. I then found a key to Jetstream Junction and I had to go through the lion's den again. The lion then nearly attacked me, but then left. I then took this oppurtunity to get out of here!

. . .

I then ran to Jetstream Junction. I unlocked the door and I got in.

. . .

"Say, why don't you check out Molly's rooftop races," asks Rambley.

"No wonder people left," I said, "they wanted to get away from that lion! But it doesn't explain why they left the whole park!"

"It's not far from here," says Rambley, "and it's a great warm up for when we get to the bigger rides!"

I then found an arcade game. In the game, I played as Rambley and went through these demon squirrels. Then I found Mollie and then a skunk named Salem came. They said something about using a new potion on Mollie! The game then glitched. I then had a thought! "That lion... it was Lloyd! Salem... they did something!" I then ran to the rooftop races!

. . .

"This is horrible," says Rambley, "looks like Mollie crashed into the ride again! Don't worry though, your pal, Rambley, has the repairman on speed dial!"

"We're sorry, the number you have dialed has been disconnected or is no longer in sevice. Please check the number and dial again."

"... Say, why don't you check out Mollie's landing pad," asks Rambley, "it's not far from here, and it's a great cool down after that exhilarating ride!" I then walked away.

. . .

Now I'm in Mollie's landing pad. I was expecting to see a macaw flying around. Then the place started to look less fun. I was getting a creepy feeling. I had to get moving. I was going through a tunnel and I realized I wasn't alone! I then continued moving and eventually, I saw Mollie herself and she was a pretty big macaw! She then moved away. I had to keep moving. I then solved the puzzle and a door opened! I had to move! "I'm not afraid," I said, "I was once mistakened for a baby condor by a mother condor! I know birds!" I then went through the door and went up these stairs that led to a tunnel.

. . .

I then moved and then I ran into Mollie! I had to run and she chased after me! "Ah, there you are, Buddy," says Rambley. I was about to go through a door. "Wait, hold on, this door's for staff only!" We then heard Mollie. "COME ON IN, NEW STAFF!" I then went through the door. As soon as she came in, the door closed on her, decapitating her!

"That's it," I said, "I know you can hear me! I want answers!"

"Welcome to the Rambley's Ranglers (registered) room!" Forget it, the lion's more helpful than this guy! "Here we have plenty of amenities and-ahh-okay okay. Yes, I did hear you. I need to be honest about something. The park has been inactive for years, employees stopped showing up, guests too... the mascots are... I just was so excited to see a visitor and I wanted to to be sure you were given the best experience possible, but I was confined to the entrance for so long, I didn't realize just how much disrepair the park has... fallen into. I'm wasting all of your fun time... sorry for the inconvenience..."

"Where are they," I asked.

"What," asks Rambley.

"Salem! They're the one behind this, right," I asked.

"Yeah, Salem was always too good at being a villain," says Rambley, "they made a potion that turned the mascots into monsters!"

"Then if I find Salem, I could put a stop to this," I said.

"Let's get this place back in business," says Rambley.

"First, I gotta get outta here," I said. I then moved.

. . .

I was then in the security room. I then exited. I wonder how a fictional skunk managed to turn mascots into monsters... then again, monsters from another dimension managed to take over a zoo! I then found another information kiosk. "Rambley, where do I find Salem?"

"I can only think of one place," says Rambley, "Oceanic Odyssey!"

"Finley," I said. I then ran towards Oceanic Odyssey! I ran there. I then had a thought. Finley's a sea serpent... how big would he be? I then saw some windows and I saw him! I then ran in!

. . .

"Salem," I said.

"Well, look what we have here," says Salem, and behind them, was Finley!

"Why'd you do it," I asked.

"Why not," asks Salem, "I'm done with cuteness! I'm done with all this nonsense about friendship! And most of all, I'm done with these idiots! Now, they're much more impressive! Finley, eat him!"

Finley then came for me! I had to dodge him. He kept trying to grab me, but then I had an idea! "Finley, remember who you are," I said, "you were created to entertain kids, not to eat people! You're not a monster! Salem made you that way!"

Finley then stops. "What are you waiting for, you stupid serpent," asks Salem. Finley then looks at them. "No... NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!" Finley then eats Salem.

I then took this chance to leave!

. . .

I left. "Wow, Salem's gone," says Rambley, "and it's all thanks to you! I mean, Finley and Lloyd are still scary and Mollie's dead... but at least Salem's gone! Thank you!"

I then left Indigo Park.
