Chapter 24: Wildmutt:

Donnie's POV:

I was walking down the street when I saw some weird animal monsters. "Is this another weird mascot monster thing," I asked, "like with the zoo or Indigo Park?" One of the monsters was about to attack me, but then something tackled it. The monsters then left, and the thing turned to a kid. "Woah, hey Kid, how'd you do that?"

"It's all in the wrist," he said, revealing this fancy wristwatch he had on, "I'm Ben Tennyson!"

"Donnie Thornberry," I said, "so, what was that about?"

"An evil scientist named Dr. Animo who likes to mutate animals," I said, "I'm here to take him down!"

"Mind if I join in," I asked, "I got skills!"

"I don't thi-" He then saw what I can do. "You're in!"

. . .

"So, that watch allows you to turn to ten different aliens," I asked.

"Yeah," says Ben, "the one you just saw was Wildmutt! Anyway, we gotta figure out where Animo would be!"

"I might have an idea," I said.

. . .

We were at the zoo. "Oh yeah," says Ben, "Fury said that some organization was dealing with something here... what was it?"

"The zoo was taken over by monsters from another dimension," I said, "hey, why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D. help out?"

"Organizations aren't allowed to interfere with each other," I said, "it's kind of a thing."

. . .

We were searching the zoo. So far, things seem normal. I told Ben about that psycho baker, Bonnie.

"She sounds fun," I said.

We then heard something. A mutant deer comes out. Ben then turns to this four-armed guy and started fighting the deer. Then a mutant lizard came and tried to attack me, but I leaped around it. We then knocked them out.

"Ben Tennyson," says a voice. We then saw two people riding a mutant buzzard.

"That him," I asked.

"Yeah, and that's his daughter, Unique," says Ben, "long story!"

"I knew you would interfere," says Animo, "but I wasn't expecting the poor man's Ka-Zar!"

"Hey," I said.

"But I'm glad you're here," says Animo, "now the games can begin!" We then fell down a trap hole!

. . .

Now we're in some kind of pit. "Where are we," I asked.

"I don't know," I said, "but I think trouble's coming!"

There was some doors. "Now, you shall face Emperor Animo's gladiators," says Animo, dressed like a Roman Emperor.

Then we saw them. They were a bear, a pig, a tiger, a rabbit, and an owl! "It's like a twisted, scary version of Winnie the Pooh," I said, "who, in their right mind, would think this was a good idea?"

"Some people are sick," says Ben.

They then came at us. Ben turns to a bug like alien, and we took on the mutants. The owl mutant flied after Ben, but Ben stung him. The bear mutant tries to punch me, but I jumped and knocked him down. The rabbit and pig tried to attack me, but I dodged, and they hit each other. Ben then took the tiger down.

"I should've known a monstrous version of Winnie the Pooh characters would be a disappointment," says Animo.

"Not every idea is a good one," I said.

"Don't worry, Dad, I made my own mutants," says Unique who is dress as a Roman Princess, "remember?"

"Ah yes," says Animo, "release them!"

Then we saw some weird crosses between different animals. "These guys are weird," I said.

"Welcome to my world," says Ben. His watch then runs out. "Guess we're going to just have to avoid getting killed!"

The mutants came at us, and we had to run. "Is your watch ready yet," I asked.

"Wait for it," says Ben, "got it! Time for Heatblast!" Instead, he turned to Wildmutt again.

"Okay," I said, "you keep these guys busy while I see the doctor!" Ben then takes on the mutants and I leaped to Animo.

. . .

I was then faced with Animo and Unique. "End of your empire," I said.

"Not if I mutate you," says Animo, as he was about to inject me with something, but I kicked it out of his hand and it ends up injecting Unique.

"Is that going to mutate her," I asked.

"No, she's immune," says Animo, "but now it's wasted!"

"Yeah, thanks a lot," says Unique.

I then took the two down.

. . .

S.H.I.E.L.D. arrives to take them in. "Impressive," says Fury, "maybe you'd like to join S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy."

"Nahh, I'm good with where I am," I said.

"Well, see ya around," says Ben.

They then left. I gotta tell the others about this!

In the next chapter, Kip and Biederman meet the shaman who gave Eliza her gift.
