She let out an unholy scream, her body convulsing violently. Her classmates watched in morbid curiosity, frozen in their seats. From her tailbone, a long, black bladed tail erupted, thrashing wildly and knocking over a chair. Black scales began to spread over her skin, crackling as they replaced her soft flesh with a hard, armor-like covering.
"What's happening to her?" someone whispered, fear and fascination mingling in their voice. A few students backed away, their eyes wide with terror.
Izumi's fingers twisted and elongated, transforming into powerful claws that gleamed menacingly under the fluorescent lights. The pain was relentless, and it felt like an eternity. For a full twenty minutes, Izumi screamed, her voice raw and broken. Sweat drenched her body, and tears streamed down her face as the transformation continued.
As the final, horrifying change took place, her teeth began to fall out, clattering onto the floor one by one. Almost immediately, they were replaced by razor-sharp teeth, perfect for a predator. Blood dripped from her mouth, staining her shirt.
When the transformation finally ceased, Izumi lay on the ground, panting heavily, her body now completely altered. The classroom was silent, save for her ragged breaths. The students and even the teachers were too stunned to move.
Bakugou, his initial shock giving way to concern, approached her cautiously. "Izumi... what just happened?"
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked up at him, her new form trembling. "I-I don't know, Kaachan. My quirk... it finally manifested."

As the ambulance was leaving the school with Izumi and Katsuki Bakugou in the back, Inko got into her car and drove back to their apartment. "I refuse to have a daughter who looks like that. Of all things, not to mention she'll clearly only be a danger to me and those around her. Good riddance," she muttered to herself as she packed her belongings.
Leaving the apartment door unlocked, Inko walked out, leaving all of Izumi's stuff behind. She didn't look back, determined to start a new life without the daughter she could no longer accept.
After an hour at the hospital, getting checkups done and waiting for her mom to show up, Izumi learned her quirk's name: Regal Predator. The name felt fitting considering how she looked. She also discovered her main weaknesses were fire, although thanks to her dad, she had a somewhat fire-resistant body, but not enough to negate her weakness entirely. She also had acidic blood and could transform fully into her xenomorph queen form, though it would only look like a baby one until she fully matured at ten years old. She could use a second mouth to pierce flesh and metal as a surprise attack, utilize her tail to attack or defend, use her claws, walk on walls, and had incredible speed and stamina. More abilities would be discovered over time.

She explained that she was called by the hospital to help with this situation. She had gone to Izumi's apartment after being informed by the doctors where she lived and found it abandoned. Miruko explained that it looked like her mother had abandoned her due to her quirk and expressed her sympathy, understanding the situation well.
Miruko then told Izumi that she would be taking her back to the apartment to gather her stuff before moving her to a foster home. Just then, Mitsuki Bakugou walked into the room, having overheard the last part of their conversation. "What are you talking about? Why would Izumi need to enter foster care?"
Miruko once again explained that Izumi was abandoned by her mother and, since she had no family that wanted her, she had to enter foster care. Mitsuki quickly responded, "We could take her."
Miruko asked about the relation, and Mitsuki explained, "I'm not technically related, but Inko and I are like sisters, so I'm basically an aunt to Izumi."
