Chapter 1: Escaped
Hi, my name is Lana, and this is my story of living in Reament with Team RWBY and Team JNPR. I have a large family. Well, somewhat large. I have three adopted dads, Po, Mr. Ping, and Shifu. I am happily married to my wife, Zhen. The same can't be said for my husband, Tai Lung though. Tai Lung is abusive towards me. He beats me whenever I do something to piss him off. He punishes me when I break a rule. A long time ago, Tai Lung forced me to marry him because he wanted revenge, and it was my punishment for being chosen as the Dragon Warrior along with Po instead of him.
I am not the Dragon Warrior anymore though. Po and I have chosen Zhen to be the next Dragon Warrior. Zhen is also married to her wife, Chameleon. Chameleon plays the role of Zhen's wife/adoptive mother. Zhen also gets abused by her, but Zhen wasn't forced into the marriage like I was. When Chameleon took Zhen in, Chameleon promised Zhen that if she married her then she would never have to go hungry again. But it was a lie. Zhen fell for the trap and used Zhen to get what she wanted.
My best friends are the Furious Five, Crane, Mantis, Monkey, and Viper. Tigress is my sister because, like me, Shifu took her in. Shifu also took Tai Lung in and raised him, making Tai Lung my brother too.
My grandpa is Li Shan, who is Po's biological dad.
For my appearance, I have long brown curly hair that I often wear in a ponytail. I have a visible scar on my right eye and the top half of my left ear cut off when Tai Lung abused me. I have hazel eyes and a white-toned skin color. As for my style of clothing, I like to wear graphic T-shirts and leggings. I'll wear hoodies in the wintertime, and sometimes turtlenecks under my shirts.
My life is shit right now. Both me and Zhen wanted so badly to get out of our abusive relationships, but Tai Lung and Chameleon threatened to kill us if we tried to escape.
"Hey Lana, want to go to the movies with me? I want to see a new movie coming out today." Zhen said.
"Sure," I said. Zhen and I are big moviegoers. We have a membership at the movie theaters, and we would go often. If our spouses let us. We were about to walk out the door when I felt something yank us back with a strong force.
"What did I tell you, Zhen?" Chameleon demanded.
"Um, not to leave without your permission," Zhen said nervously.
"That's right," Chameleon said, gripping Zhen's chin tightly.
"The same goes for you too, Lana." Tai Lung said firmly.
"But Zhen and I wanted to-" Tai Lung cut me off with a slap in the face. The slap hurt like hell.
"I SAID NO! Do you want to keep whining and get hurt?" Tai Lung said.
"No. I'm sorry. I'll do as you say." I said.
"Good." Tai Lung said.
"Now go along, Zhen. Get out of my sight. And if I catch you leaving without my permission again you know what happens." Chameleon threatens. Zhen nodded nervously. I glared at them before grabbing Zhen's hand. We walked up to our room where we felt safe.
"I hate them so much," Zhen said.
"I hate them too," I said.
"Lana. What if we just ran away? Start our own life without them." Zhen said.
"You know we can't, Zhen. We will get killed." I said.
"I know, but I can't stand living like this," Zhen said. I sighed. Zhen is right. We need a new life, away from our abusers. Even if it gets us killed, we have to take the risk.
"Okay. We will run away tonight when everyone is sleeping." I said.
"Alright," Zhen said. Zhen and I spent the rest of the day packing and planning our escape route. I made sure to pack everything we needed. When everyone was asleep, we made our move. We ran out of the palace and ran as far as we could. I didn't dare to look back.
"I'm getting tired," I said.
"There's a bench over there, we can take a rest," Zhen said. Zhen and I made our way over to the bench. Once we sat down, I took a look at our surroundings. A big building was in front of us with towers on the edges. It almost looked like a castle. The ground was sturdy and a statue of two warriors stood in front of us.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"I don't know. But it looks like a school of some sort." Zhen said.
"Oh," I said. Zhen and I lay down on the bench. I tried to get some sleep, but I found it hard because I kept worrying that Tai Lung would come find me again and bring me back home. I am also starting to miss my dads and the rest of my family. I feel bad for leaving them without a note, but I had to run away to save our lives.
"What's wrong?" Zhen asked me when she noticed I was still awake.
"I'm worried. I'm worried that they will come back for us. And I feel bad for leaving everyone else behind. My dads must be worried about me." I said.
"Don't worry. I won't let them find us. And we can find the others again once we get things figured out." Zhen said.
"Thanks, Zhen. I love you." I said.
"I love you too. Now try to get some sleep." Zhen said. Zhen and I kissed before I laid back down again. I rested my head in her lap before closing my eyes and letting the darkness of sleep overtake me.
"Lana. Wake up." Zhen said, shaking me awake. I woke up to see Zhen standing next to me.
"Zhen? What time is it?" I asked.
"It's 10:30," Zhen said. When I was fully awake, I realized we were in a different place then before. We were in a room that had a set of two bunk beds on each side, one had a white sheet cover over the bed. There was a window in the middle with a bookshelf under the window. Four desks were lined up against the walls and a big red carpet was in the middle room.
Then a group of four girls walked inside the room. One had red and black short hair with silver eyes and wore a black dress consisting of a long-sleeved blouse with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, over which is a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and a matching skirt with red lining and a red petticoat. She also wears a pair of thick black tights that fade to red near the bottom, and black combat boots with red laces, red trims around the top, and red soles. Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver buckle on her wide black belt, which is slung around her hips at an angle. Attached to her belt are a pocket and a row of bullets. She seemed younger than the other girls.
The girl next to her had white long hair that was in a ponytail. She had icy blue eyes with a grey scar on her right eye. She wears a thigh-length strapless dress with a faint color gradation from white to pale blue at the hem. A small piece of black lace sits in the front of her neckline and the hem of the dress is scalloped and stitched to resemble snowflakes, with layers of white tulle under the skirt. Over this, she wears a bell-sleeved bolero with the same color gradation as her dress from shoulder to wrist, lined in red and with a ruffled collar. On the back of the bolero is the Schnee Crest. She also wears a small apple pendant on a silver chain and thin, rectangular silver earrings. Her boots are white, wedged-heeled, and higher at the back than the front. They have a small silver decoration across the top of the foot and are lined in red. A thin white sash is tied around her waist with a pouch attached to the back.
The other girl had long curly black hair with golden eyes. She wears a black, buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front. Underneath this is a white, sleeveless, high-necked, crop undershirt and tight white spandex compression shorts that reach her upper thighs with a zipper on the front of each leg. She also wears black low-heeled boots and full stockings with a color gradation of black to purple at her ankles. Her emblem is visible on the outside of both thighs just below her shorts in white. On her left arm is a black detached sleeve with a silver cuff around her bicep, and black ribbons are wrapped around both forearms. A small, loose, black scarf is wrapped around her neck, and a gray magnetic backpack is strapped to her back, hidden by her hair. She also wears a black bow on the top.
The final girl had long curly yellow hair with purple eyes. She wears a tan jacket that bares her midriff, with golden brown piping and short, puffy sleeves with black cuffs that feature two gold buttons. Underneath this, she wears a low-cut yellow crop top with her emblem on the left breast in black. She also wears a brown belt covered by a pleated brown piece of material reaching from hip to hip around the back of her waist, with her emblem emblazoned on the right-most pleat in gold. Underneath this is a long, white, asymmetrical piece of material reaching to her knee on the right side, as well as a pair of tight black spandex compression shorts that reach her upper thighs. She wears a pair of brown, knee-high boots and orange over-the-knee socks, with the right sock pushed down just below the knee. A gray bandanna is tied around her left knee. She wears a purple bandanna around the same knee. An orange infinity scarf and black fingerless gloves complete her outfit.
I looked at the girls with curiosity. "Um, Hi. Can one of you tell me where I am please?" I asked.
"You guys are at a school called Beacon Academy. Me and my team found you and your wife on the benches outside." The girl with red hair said. "By the way, I'm Ruby!"
"I'm Weiss." The white-haired girl said.
"Blake." The black-haired girl said.
"And I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister!" The yellow-haired girl said.
"Hi everyone. I'm Lana, Zhen's wife." I said.
"We know," Yang said.
"I was awake before you," Zhen said. Then a group of four more people walked into the room. The first boy had blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a wears a black short-sleeved hoodie with detached reddish-orange sleeves and a dark brown image of the bunny rabbit Pumpkin Pete trimmed in white with cute black round eyes. Covering his hoodie and hiding the Pumpkin Pete symbol is a white diamond-shaped chest plate cut off above his lower abdomen, and placed over his shoulders are a pair of white spaulders with rerebraces set under them. Below, he wears blue jeans with a white patch placed on the left knee and black sneakers.
The girl next to him had red hair and green eyes. top, she wore a brown overbust corset with a vertical strip of lighter brown in the center. Additionally, Pyrrha wore an elastic, black, A-line mini skirt and brown opera-length gloves on both arms. She wore a red ankle-length sash that wrapped around her skirt. As for accessories, there was a small circular bronze plate on her right hip opposite two pouches with both connected to a belt. The plate bore her emblem. Underneath her hair, she always wore a brown circlet adorned with a pair of small, green, teardrop-shaped emeralds on thin chains. She also sported a large bronze gorget around her neck and a bronze bracelet on the upper half of her left arm.
The other girl had orange hair and blue eyes similar to Weiss's eyes. She wears a collared black sleeveless vest, with a blue central front section with red accents, her vest has her emblem, on the back. Under the vest, she wears a white sleeveless t-shirt with a heart-shaped cutout above her breast line in the center accompanied by a pair of white detached sleeves on each arm, and a pair of light pink fingerless gloves. She sports a short pink skirt with a single white layer under it. Her white ankle boots sport pink soles with part of her emblem, the lightning bolt, on them and low heels with pink laces, the tops are folded over revealing the pink lining. She also wears a silver armor piece that wraps around her waist, under her breasts, and around the back on her neck with metal connecting each piece together at the front.
The boy standing next to the girl had black hair that he wore in a ponytail and had a pink strip on the right side of his hair. He had pink eyes and wore a dark green, diagonally buttoned, long-sleeved tailcoat that is red on the inside, with black and gold trimming and pink cuffs. The trimming goes down the right side of his torso and forms a black collar. Along with this, he wears a black, long-sleeved shirt beneath the suit and light tan pants with black shoes.
"You guys needed our help?" The boy with black hair said.
"Yes," Ruby said.
"By the way we are team JNPR, a friend of team RWBY's. I'm Jaune." The blond-haired boy said.
"I'm Pyrrha." The red-haired girl said.
"I'm Nora." The orange-haired girl said.
"And I'm Ren." The black-haired boy said.
"Wow, it's nice to meet you all. Also, what did you guys mean when you mentioned you were in teams?" I asked.
"When we first got here, the professor split us up into teams," Weiss explained.
"Oh," I said.
"What did you need help with?" Jaune asked.
"We found these girls outside the school. They seem lost. What should we do?" Ruby asked.
"I say we should help them find their way home," Pyrrha said.
"We don't want to go back home. We ran away." Zhen explained.
"Oh. How come?" Pyrrha asked.
"My wife and I were being abused. We had to run away for safety." I said. Everyone looked at us with sympathy. The two teams took some time figuring out what to do with us. After a long time of discussing, they turned to us. Yang spoke up.
"We've been thinking. How about you two stay with us for a while? We can talk to the professors here and have them arrange a stay for the both of you." Yang said. Mine and Zhen's eyes lit up. We smiled.
"You really mean that? There's not a catch?" Zhen asked.
"Of course!" Yang said.
"We're willing to help you guys. Whatever you need." Ren said. Without hesitation, Zhen and I went over to hug them.
"Thanks, everyone. This means so much." I said. For the first time in a while, I felt a glimmer of hope. I can finally be free from the abuse for a while. And maybe Team RWBY and Team JNPR can help me find my family again.

I'm sorry I have deleted my previous RWBY story. There were some frustrations while writing the story and it felt rushed, plus I didn't like writing volume 1 all that much. And people hated the story, I have been getting a lot of hate comments on it. So I'm re-writing it, hoping it will be better and that I can enjoy it more now. I have decided to start writing volume 3 and go from there.
Anyway, I hope you guys liked this chapter and please leave a review, don't be mean to me please, and don't criticize too harshly. Another important thing to note is that I do not own any RWBY or Kung Fu Panda characters. The only character I own here is Lana.
