CHAPTER 13: LOLA LOUD

.

Lola Loud. The little sister of the twins Lana & Lola, separated by 2 minutes. The ninth sister of the Loud siblings.

They might be twins with no front teeth, but don't let that fool you, as both are the polar opposite. If Lana loves dirt, Lola is totally disgusted on it, like all noble conservatives are. If Lana does not mind aligning with commoners and especially animals, Lola prefers isolating herself with dignity, achievements, and elites. If Lana values something from heart and functionality, Lola values them from caste and rank. If Lana is a peasant, Lola is the queen.

Lincoln: [dresses like Lexx Loud, sits at the tea table he prepared]

Meli & Cricket: [happens to pass by and notice Lincoln]

Lincoln: "Greetings, ladies." [salutes]

Meli: "Ooo, what a manner! Do we by any chance know you, Mister?" [stunned]

Lincoln: "Loud, Lincoln, at your service." [bows]

Cricket: "Thank you for the welcoming, but I'm afraid, that we already have a schedule booked in a park, and your tea might be... indigestible."

Lincoln: "Worry not, ladies. Have you ever tried... Oolong tea? Coming from Fujian?" [pours them a tea]

Cricket: "Hmm… Alright. Maybe a minute of tea does not hurt." [sits with Lincoln]

Meli: [sits with Lincoln too]

Lola dedicated her entire life in the way of glamour and elegance princesses are supposed to follow, as if she is destined with beauty unmatched. And we can all agree on one thing or two about princesses: They tend to get ahead of themselves and none of them want a second place.

Lincoln: "…The kingdom is its people. If you want to be a good princess, you shall be one with the populace." [has another tea sip]

Meli: "Very poetic, Mister Loud. Very poetic." [sips]

Lincoln: "And this is Chai Tea. Many British Colonials once craved for this lucrative spice." [in smooth manner, pours them another cup of tea]

As you might have guessed, Lola is aggressive. In fact, even more than Lori if she does not get what she wants. She's strict, self-disciplined, sensitive, impatient, explosive, and sometimes she prefers taking matters by her own hands.

And because the world is about natural selection, Lola becomes more and more competitive, and she never shows tolerance of losing, especially in beauty pageant contests. But unlike her sportive big sister Lynn Jr, sometimes Lola does not mind cheating on the game and playing dirty under the rug if that's what it takes to win.

Lincoln: "Welcome to your first beauty pageant. Let's get started!" [eager]

Meli: "Li- Lincoln… Do you think, I'll make it out to be the winner…?" [hesitant]

Lincoln: "Fret not, Meli. As long as we stick by the books, we're good. Let's go!"

Sometimes, to win a race, you must take out your opponents, and that's a no exception for pageant contests. To be the crowd's favorite, you must make the others look less attractive. And the easiest way to do it, as Lola describes, is spoil their incompetence. And this is where another of her bad habits, gossip, comes from. She can't resist spoiling someone's secrets, bad or good, no matter. Yep. Never act like a fool or she'll use it against you.

Lindsay: "Good luck, Meli. May the toughest wins." [walks onto the stage]

Meli: "Lincoln…! I'm- I'm nervous! No way I'm going to win from her!" [scared]

Lincoln: "Hey, relax. Don't let that get into you. Besides, we still have a secret weapon in our sleeves!"

Meli: "What is it?"

Lincoln: "You'll find out soon." [smugs]

But other than all those bad traits, Lola is sweet. Sweet by the look, talk sweet, eat sweets- No, really. Lola might be a bad princess, but if she wants to, she can be a good and sweet princess. She knows a way to charm people and make her adorable. And luckily for the Louds, the only thing that keeps Lola from being the rudest bully for fun is that she's well-mannered, and she still has respect. A woman with no respect is not a woman at all.

Sheryl: "The judges have all tabulated the score, and guess we have a winner!"

Sheryl: "Give a triumphant applause for our new winner, MELI RAMOS!"

Audiences: [standing ovation]

Meli: "Is- Is it real? I… Won!?" [can't believe what she just heard]

Lindsay: "Yes. You heard the madame. Well-played, Meli. That was a fair and square competition. You deserved it." [smiles]

Meli: "IIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE~~~" [squeals in joy, walks onto the center]

Meli: "I WON! OMIGOSH...! I CAN'T BELIEVE MY DREAM… HAS FINALLY COME TRUE!" [looks at the glorious golden tiara on her hands before slowly wearing it]

Audiences: [clap for even more]

Meli: "THANK YOU, LINCOLN! YOU ARE TRULY THE BEST!" [hugs Lincoln like they are siblings]

Lincoln: [smiles, pats Meli]

For the Louds, Lola is a gem trying to be the shiniest of all. Although cranky like a volcano, she knows best how not to antagonize herself. Lola dreams of being everyone's number 1, sitting in the lonely peak, but she's definitely not alone.

Meli: "I… I wonder, though…" [sheds tear of joy, steps back]

Meli: "…Why did you help me?" [gives a meaningful look at Lincoln]

Lincoln: "?"

Meli: "We… We don't know each other. We're not siblings. We're… Strangers. But why… Why do you want to help me win?" [curious]

Lincoln: [smiles]

Lincoln: "Because… You remind me of someone I know very well."

Meli: "W… Who…?"

Lincoln: "A little blonde girl, 9 pageants winner, her heart is as sweet as sugar. She's around your age."

Lincoln: "And… She's my sister." [looks upon a familiar figure]

Lola(?): [smiles at Lincoln before glitching away]
