Today was the second promotional exam as isaac proudly began to shuffle his deck in his room,in a couple of hours he would be checked to see if he had to leave the dorm that his parents prided him with.
"Im not the man i was before!"he yelled as he drew his test hands before checking what fate had in store for him:Pyramid turtle, Scapegoat ,one for one ,book of life card destruction and his sixth card for his first draw being vampire lord.
"I can set pyramid turtle and scapegoat and save the other cards for the next few turns,maybe even send vampire lord to get my book of life active if my opponent has a card like sinister serpant or something like that to make sure they cant combo off.
Ever since his been with Mana his skills improve quite a lot,nowadays he was slowly growing to becoming a successful obelisk blue student as before even ra yellows will duel him for an easy victory.
"Not anymore,i promise you Mana im going to get better from now on!"he said with a smile as he shuffled his hand back to his deck and tried again.
A couple of hours later right after there written exam was a small one and a half hour lunch break for students to eat or improve their decks before they can do the practical exams which was worth 40% of the exam as each quarter you were able to take from the opponent life points is 10 %
If you didnt get atleast 50% then you would be demoted to a lower dorm as the make up exams was only worth 10% so it was important to ace the written exam.
He walked to the cafateria getting a draw bread along side some curry rice and a small milk carton as he scaned around the area.
"Isaac over here!"Mana said waving her hand happily in the empty cafateria as she was sitting with Manny and Torrey,he smiled and slowly walked on over towards them with the trey of food in his hand.
"Where is everybody" Mana asked as being a new students,she didn't had a clue about what happened last month.
"Oh,you see last month a Slifer dueled an Obelisk Blue and now everyone is panicking that they might have to duel someone with a higher dorm then them especially since someone bought all the new cards last month" Torrey said as he was eating his creme brule.
"You guys need new cards?" Mana offered as she spoiled the club with her rare and powerful cards.
Being the man that they were they didnt take the offer "nah,the cards you got me is enough for me" Manny said as he couldnt believe there was a card that could search out his virus cards practically for free.
"Same here on my end" Torrey said causing isaac a bit of shame as he wouldnt mind another card or two but with the two new engines he added he was a bit sure that hed win his match.
Mana however wasnt happy with them rejecting her offer as she took a small spoonfull of the cream on her parfait before slowly licking it "fine but if you guys lose your duel you wont be allowed for tonights club activities"she said causing the three boys to blush and grow fluster.
The nightly activities being an orgy for the whole four of them,even if Torrey was the club leader it was Mana who had them by their balls,both figuratively and literally.
It was now the time for the exam and Isaac could feel the beat of his heart as his name was called down,walking from the bleachers to the stage he saw his opponent.
Muscular and tall,two things that he never was as he felt smaller just from looking at him,he was the missing second year who went by the name of Damian,also known as the draw master.
The two exchange pleasantries as a coin flip was held to decide who goes first,luckily enough Isaac chosen heads which was correct which lets him chose who goes first.
"With the new cards mana got me,my deck is adapted to going second,i just have to make sure i dont fall for any of his traps"he said as he signaled himself going second
Both obelisk blue duelist drew their five cards and examined what they had in their hand,Isaac didnt know what his opponent had but his hand looked so much better.
A king of the skull servant,a book of life,a pyramid turtle,karma cut and his vamlire lord was in his hand.
"I might not have a way to send my vampire lord to my graveyard i still have a play i can do for next turn"he said to himself while looking at his opponent
Finally damian was satisfied with his strategizing "ill activate my spell card,drag by the grave!"he yelled while showing his card.
A weird zombie hand showed up next to them forcing both players to reveal their hands to one another "when drag by the grave is activated,both players look at each other hand,discard a card then draw a new card"he said as Isaac saw what was in store for him.
A copy of toon table of content,royal magical library,threatening roar,sinister serpant and finally an electro magnetic turtle.
"Hmm ill choose to discard your book of life"he said as the zombie hand grab that card and forced him to discard it "then ill choose to send your royal magical library to the graveyard"he declared as the zombie hand did that to his opponent before both players drew another card.
A second pyramid turtle joined his hand as he was now questioning himself if he should have gone first.
His opponent smiled "i activate monster reborn,letting me bring back my royal magical library in defense position"he said as a wonderful library surrounded the two making the monster look like a field spell.
"Then ill activate my toon table of content letting me add a toon card from my deck to my hand"he said as he began to search for a card in his deck "like another copy of itself and sincs i like that move i can do it again and again"he said as his library now had 3 glowing orbs
"Finally i use my final toon table of contents to add the legendary "toon blue eyes white dragon from my deck to my hand"he yelled making everyone eyes widen as that card was as powerful as the legendary blue eyes white dragon.
"Afterwards since my library has 3 counters,i can send those 3 to draw a card"he said taking a deep breath before drawing as isaac could swear it had a golden trim to it.
"Hah,i drew perfectly,activating my spellcard trade in,letting me send a level 8 from my hand to draw 2 cards"he yelled as his library gained another counter
"Next up upstart goblin,it gives you a 1000 life points but lets me draw a card"he explained while drawing another card as isaac gained life points
Isaac 4000 1000 = 5000
"That doesnt matter tho since not only do i draw a card but i also get another counter,and the card i drew was perfect once again as i activate magical mallet!"he explained as he showed his electromagnetic turtle and his sinister serpant as he slammed those and his mallet back to his deck before drawing 3 new cards.
"My library now has 3 counters so i can draw a card!"he yelled as he drew a card and checked his hand "next up foolish barriel letting me send a card from my deck to my graveyard"he declared as he was able to send makiyura the destroyer
"Next up ill be sending my copy of thunder dragon from my hand to the graveyard to add 2 copys from my deck"he said as he search for his cards.
"Afterwards ill active the spellcard magical stone excavation to discard a thunder dragon and a jinzo to add one copy of my monster reborn from my graveyard back to my hand"he explained sending two cards from his hand to the graveyard and gained his iconic spellcard.
"Next up ill be activating another upstart goblin so you get life points for me to draw a card"he declared as he smiled as he saw what he drew into.
Isaac 5000 1000 = 6000
"Next up ill activate my spellcard graceful charity letting me draw 3 cards to discard 2"he said as he checked his new hand before dumping a threathening roar and his final copy of thunder dragon.
"Now since i have 15 cards in my graveyard i can active this trap card from my hand,exchange of the spirit,you might be wondering how i can activate this card well you see since i have makiyura in my graveyard i can activate a trap card the turn it is set"he explained as everyone looked shocked as that trap card was powerful
"Now both our decks and graveyard swap places,and since i have more cards then you do id just have to pass and ill win but im not done yet,cause since i havent normla summoned yet ill be tributing my library to normal summon my monster jinzo (2400)" he said as the terrifying dark machine type monster showed up before he passed his turn
Everyone was suprised isaac had a card from his graveyard,that being his copy of book of life "wait i forgot about that"his opponent said as he shook his head in disbelief
"Ill be summoning my king of the skull servants,and since i have 3 servants and 2 king in my graveyard he gains a whooping 5000 attack boost"he declared
Damian didnt seem fazed,he had electro magentic turtle to save him not to mention his life points plus his jinzo can save him,all he needed to do was last a turn.
"Next ill be banishing your turtle from the graveyard to activate book of life!"Isaac declared as suddenly,his earlier misplay that let him survive to this turn spelled his doom
"My monster might lose a stack of attack points,but i gain another king!"he declared as both king stood at a whooping 4000 attack points.
"Sick him"he declared as both monster attacked causing lethal damage winning him his practical,people looked in shock as he took a heavy breath and walked back to the bleachers as it didnt take long for mana to be called in.
Mana smiled at her opponent,an alexis rhodes huh,shell sure to have her fun.
