AUTHOR'S NOTES
I wasn't really that good at writing any sonnets when I was a kid in grade school. I decided to try it again now in 2024 by writing a sonnet dedicated to Wings of Fire, one of my favorite book series. If it weren't for the second book in the Behind the Lockers franchise, I probably would not have gotten into the series, and I probably wouldn't be writing all this creative poetry for Wings of Fire fans.
I apologize if anything is off with this sonnet, I tried my best to write one. This sonnet is also featured on Archive of Our Own and my Tiger Trotter Domain Tumblr page, so make sure you check this out over on both of those sites, too.

WINGS OF FIRE: A SONNET

Wings of Fire! Of stories and dragons.
Dragonets and prophecies sure to come.
Of blood and war, and something to ration,
Pyrrhia and Pantala's where they're from.
Of SandWing Succession and Jade Mountain,
Glorious Wings of Mud, Sea, Rain, Night, Sand.
As the Dragonets did not call for Rain,
The Prophecy said the SkyWing headstand.
The Dragonets will come to save the day,
When the war has lasted twenty years long,
The Dragonets will have their faithful say,
The Dragonet Prophecy shall ring strong!
Our faithful series of Wings of Fire,
Will live forever, strong, bold, and dire.
