Atem smiled widely. "We should go find my parents. They are probably out on the dance floor somewhere.
They wandered around the throne room for a few moments before Atem spotted his parents. They were talking with some friends of theirs from another kingdom. Atem recognized them as the Mazakies from Japan. He and Yugi were very good friends with their daughter Anzu.
Mr. and Mrs. Mazaki Its nice to see you again. I have not seen Anzu yet. Is she here?" Atem asked them.
Mrs. Mazaki smiled at Atem. ``Not yet she should be arriving soon. She and her boyfriend Tristen are traveling the world together and were just arriving back in Japan when we got the invitations for your party,"
"Oh, ok I guess we will see them soon then.,"Atem replied.
"Father, Mother, may Yugi and I speak with you privately for a moment? It's important."
The King and Queen looked at their son slightly worried but agreed and told the Mazakies they would catch up with them later.
They went into Atem's father's office to talk so nobody would bother them.
"Father , Mother, Yugi and I have some news." Atem said, grasping Yugi small hand in his, squeezing it reassuringly.
"Is everything alright?" his mother asked gently.
Atem took a deep breath squeezing Yugi's hand for courage. "As you know Yugi hasn't been feeling very well lately. Once I got done with my morning rounds I found Yugi asleep with Gandora and a baby Dratini in the garden. After he woke up he got sick a few times.
After he woke up from his nap. I asked him how he felt and he said he just felt nauseous so I decided to take him to see Isis. I was going to stay there with him but I needed to help put an end to what would have been a very long argument about the placement of everything and a few other things. Anyways after everything was done I had Timaeus waiting for Yugi to escort him to the party."
"I wanted to know what Isis said and what was wrong with him. I could tell something was bothering him. When he finally told me what was wrong I was in complete shock."
"What did you tell him, Yugi?" Atem's mother asked him, fearing it was something very serious.
Yugi took a deep breath. "I told him I'm pregnant. Isis guess I got pregnant on the night you made me your mate." Yugi explained quietly.
The entire room was silent. It was eerie, Yugi didn't like it. It made him nervous like everyone was watching him, judging him."
Then he felt a warm embrace surrounding him. Atem's mother wrapped her arms around him.
"Congratulations honey. I will help you through this. I know it's scary but it will be worth it once you hold that little baby in your arms. "
Yugi smiled into her embrace. He had come to love Atem's mother like she was his own. He was glad he wasn't going to go through this pregnancy blind.
A large tan was gently placed on his shoulder. "She's right son, you're not going through this alone. We will help you boys, " Atem's father said, squeezing his shoulder gently.
Yugi breathed a sigh of relief, smiling when Atem's larger hand grasped his own.
"See I told you sweetheart they wouldn't be mad a little shocked yes mad no. We aren't alone in this. Mana is going to scream when I tell her she was right and Mahad is going to tell me off and congratulate you. He likes you a lot, him and Mana think of you as their younger brother." Atem chuckled softly as he brushed a stray hair from his lover's face.
"I love you, Tem."
I love you too, my beautiful little moon flower, and I love our little starfish too," Atem smiled softly, laying his hand on Yugi's belly as he kissed him sweetly.
Yugi and Atem sat there for a little bit just holding Yugi in his arms. His parents already went back to the party. Atem just wanted to sit here with his little lover for a few moments, before they went back to the party.
"So when Isis checked you out did she say what gender the baby was?"
"No, I was in too much shock to ask."
"Fair enough," Atem chuckled.
"Are you ready to go back to the party?" Atem asked him.
"No, not really. I'm not looking forward to everyone staring at me, giving me fake congratulations.
"Are we telling anyone about the baby yet?" Yugi asked Atem.
"No, we will only tell our friends , everyone else will know soon enough. Father is going to speak to the council tomorrow about this and then he will start the preparations for another party to tell the kingdom. Atem explained.
"Another party? But why?" Yugi asked.
It's pretty much like a baby shower is on shore. By the way you will be getting two of those. Yugi groaned.
"Let me guess Your Mom. Mana, Anzu and Isis right? Yugi asked.
Yea." Atem replied, nodding his head.
" We better get back to the party, it's only a matter of time before someone comes looking for us."
"Yea we've been here for a little bit."
"Let's go, my love," Atem said, taking Yugi's hand in his and intertwining their fingers, as they shared a sweet kiss and then headed back to the party.
