It was a Saturday, which meant no classes in the afternoon, and maybe even a more relaxed day on Karim Academy's campus. That's what Eleanor Durand thought at least, as she made way to Jeremy's dorm room to check on him and his progresses with Lyoko. She heard he and Aelita had been recreating Lyoko… or something like that. Since Eleanor wasn't the one who went to Lyoko for more than ti allow her to remember return to the pasts, she had very little personal knowledge on it. But she wanted to see how things were faring with the lovebirds.
Two knocks to the door.
The sounds of bickering could be heard on the other end. But there's an almost overshadowed "come in," from the super computer wiz. When Eleanor opened the door, she saw the short and "svelte" team member, Odd, and a red head with tan skin in a pink dress… Sayaka Dubois, was it? Eleanor barely knew her, but they were both technically lyoko warriors.
"No no no! Do not even think of changing my Lyoko garb!" The redhead shouted.
"But Sayaka," Jeremy tried to explain, pushing up his glasses before waving his hands in a weary manner, "everyone is getting upgrades to their look. That should include you too—"
"C'mon Jeremy. If she wants to wear the minidress let her," Odd chimed in, his usual exaggerated simper. "Besides, you let me design my outfit, why can't she?"
"Odd… I let you have a say in the design. Not completely create it." Jeremy turns to Sayaka, "and Sayaka, I can't just not change yours. So you have to deal with it."
"Then I will just not go onto Lyoko." Sayaka said with a somewhat snooty tone and expression. Jeremy sighed, but wasn't giving in just yet. Sometimes it was hard for him ti remember that the air headed Sayaka was still a member of the Lyoko Warriors, and that she was invaluable to the team. So he'd take her appearance into consideration if it meant keeping her allied with them.
"So… I take it Lyoko is up and running again if you're already discussing the cosmetics?" Eleanor finally got to ask. Jeremy nodded and ushered her to come to his desk. When she did, Jeremy pulled up the outfits for Odd and Sayaka. Odd now seemed to have real cat ears and a full body suit. Sayaka's new and improved look was… well, a downgrade from the sounds of it. A latex mauve suit with what looked like a cross strapped sports bra on top of it. Eleanor understood the design change after seeing the avatar card on the screen before, where Sayaka wore a little bit less than what was shown here, but… Eleanor could see why Sayaka was severely displeased.
"Looks… good, Jer…" Eleanor said behind gritted teeth, making it clear as day that she didn't like the design choices either. "Can I see the other ones?"
"Not yet… I'm working on them still, and want them to be a surprise. The only reason Odd got to see his early is because he got Aelita on his side about getting his input."
"Ah. I see…" Eleanor nodded to herself. That made sense to her.
"Anyways, I need to finish up at the Factory. I'll call if anything happens." Jeremy said as he got up and left. The three remaining all just looked at each other, not too sure what to do.
"… there is a lively cafe in the downtown, if anyone would like to go? I will pay." Sayaka offered, getting a loud cheer from Odd. Not a surprise, given how much he loves eating. Eleanor sighed at his extreme behavior, but gave a simple "sure," in response.
