INT. PICKLES' LIVING ROOM - DAY
Angelica Pickles pouts on the couch, crossing her arms.
ANGELICA
(to her parents)
It's not fair! I want to watch Duckman!
DREW
(firmly)
Angelica, we've told you before. Duckman is not suitable for a 3-year-old like you.
CHARLOTTE
(agreeing)
Yes, sweetie. It's a show for grown-ups.
ANGELICA
(stomping her foot)
But why?! I wanna see the duck with the funny voice!
DREW
(calmly)
Because, Angelica, Duckman has some... mature themes and language that aren't good for little girls like you.
CHARLOTTE
(additionally)
And it's just not a show that's meant for children, sweetie.
ANGELICA
(pouting)
Fine... But I'm gonna watch it when I'm bigger!
DREW
(smiling)
We'll see, sweetie. Maybe when you're a little older.
CHARLOTTE
(agreeing)
Yes, maybe when you're older, sweetie.
Duckman, the cartoon character, suddenly appears in the living room, trying to charm Charlotte.
DUCKMAN
(suavely)
Ah, Charlotte, my lovely... surely you can see that your little Angelica is mature enough to watch my show?
CHARLOTTE
(unimpressed)
No, Duckman. We've made up our minds.
DUCKMAN
(persistently)
But, my dear... I can offer you so much more than just a children's show... (winking)
CHARLOTTE
(rolling her eyes)
Duckman, stop trying to flirt with me. It won't work.
DUCKMAN
(undeterred)
Oh, but Charlotte... you're a sophisticated woman... I can tell you appreciate a refined duck like myself... (smirking)
CHARLOTTE
(firmly)
Duckman, I'm not changing my mind. And even if I was, your attempts at seduction wouldn't work on me.
DUCKMAN
(deflated)
Oh... well, I suppose I'll just have to accept that... (sighing)
DREW
(amused)
I think it's time for you to leave, Duckman.
DUCKMAN
(resigned)
Yes... yes, I suppose so... (exiting)
CHARLOTTE
(to Drew)
Well, that was certainly... unexpected.
DREW
(laughing)
Indeed. Well, at least we know our decision was right.
