It was all his fault.
Sirius Black, his Godfather. Had died protecting him. It was his fault.
Harry sat there, mesmerised by the stars. He loved the Astronomy Tower. It was a great spot to stare at the stars. The place was also where he met her:
Daphne Greengrass
He was in love with her. Harry couldn't tell if she wanted something with him. Whilst they were comfortable with each other. They didn't always show it. Some days, they could be cuddling on the Tower until past curfew.
Other times, they would not even lean against each other. Harry didn't care about that, right now. He needed her.
Harry didn't care for House Rivalries. Sure, he was in Gryffindor while she was a Slytherin. He also knew of her reputation as the Ice Queen. Luckily, he'd managed to destroy her icy barrier the first month of talking to her.
They'd continue meeting in secret. Not even Ron or Hermione knew what he was doing. Although, Hermione had been throwing him suspicious glances. So Harry guessed that she was close to figuring out.
Fifth year was taking its toll on Harry. Umbridge at the back of his mind for now. All he could think about was his Godfather. He began to cry until he felt the softest touch on his shoulder.
Looking up to see Daphne looking at him. He got up and she hugged him. They'd stay in that position for a few minutes while Harry sobbed.
"It's not your fault Harry." Daphne whispered trying to comfort him
"I know" Harry said "I can't help but think, if I hadn't fallen for Voldemort's trap. He would still be here." Harry sobbed into her shoulder
"Harry, he would've done the same. Trap or not. He loved you." Daphne continued to whisper "You meant everything to him. He wouldn't want you to waste your life here thinking about different scenarios."
"If you're implying-" Harry started but was interrupted by Daphne "Yes I am."
"What about you? What about Astoria?" Harry whispered "What would Umbridge do to you? No doubt she would try something."
"I can handle that Harry." Daphne soothed "You don't need to worry about me. Besides, I have Tracey and Draco. They'll stand by me no matter what."
"Ok." Harry sighed "I trust you."
Harry leaned down, and kissed her. It was their first kiss. She kissed him back. This caused Harry to deepen the kiss.
They broke apart. Both gasping for air. Harry then said: "I love you."
"I love you too, Harry" Daphne responded
All was well.
Hey! What did you think of this one-shot? I have some things planned for the future. Unfortunately, I have exams. So yeah, I won't be able to work on them for a while. Anyway, if you have any ideas for fanfics in the future. You can just dm me. Your likes and reviews are appreciated.
