Chapter 9: Battle of Muunilist and Yavin 4

Now in the Muunilist planet, the crew have split into two teams: One(Shiki, Rebecca, and Happy) and Two(Homura, Weisz, and Pino). They scatter into the empty streets of Harnaiden in a stealth mode fashion. They know that they need to resort to flying low and on high guard due to not knowing when an army of separatist battle droids might try to sneak attack or suddenly appear in front of them.

On the battlefield outside the streets:

"General Kenobi, our canons are being destroyed!" A clone trooper warns him, which Obi-wan uses his binoculars to see the area, zooming in to see more separatist speeders heading their way.

He orders his troops to mount up, and an army of clones jump onto their speeder bikes to intercept the droids. The two bands of swoop riders enter into a mass joust, both clone and droid alike being impaled or thrown aside.

As another another wave of separatist speeders come into play, a star fighter appears and shoots them all down, courtesy of Homura, Weisz, and Pino.

"General Kenobi, we've arrived to aid you." Homura speaks via communicator.

"All we gotta do is destroy the black separatist droids here, right? Let's get to it." Weisz adds, ready to go.

"Good timing, we're mounting up towards the city." Obi-wan informs while on a speeder bike, "We'll continue to blast through this endless army of droids while moving forward."

"Affirmative!" Pino raises her hand in the starfighter before the EZ crew members begins to blast various separatist speeders and droids, while Obi-wan does the same down at the ground and comes face to face with Durge, who has also been killing off a bunch of clones. The two then speed towards each other, and Kenobi succeeds to slicing Durge's speeder in two, causing it to explode. By the time Kenobi comes to a stop, Durge emerges out of the fire, unscathed. Seeing the Obi-wan goes to attack him by running him over, but the cyborg stops it in its tracks, causing Obi-Wan to leap over him and land on the ground. Durge go to strike him with his speeder, and the Jedi splits it in half with his light saber before stabbing the cyborg through the chest. It seemed to have work, but the Druid laughs and punches Kenobi in the face before doing delivering a barrage of axe-punches to send Kenobi flying.

Durge fires some needles next, but luckily, Homura leaps in and protects the general with her dual ether blades, repelling the needles one after another.

"Thanks Homura." Obi-wan gets up.

"No problem, general." She nods before they engage the android in a 2-vs-1.

Durge sends a flamethrower at the duo, which Obi-wan uses a force wall to shield them both. Homura uses this chance to leap in the air and slice off Durge's flamethrower missile, hence, stopping the attack. Durge kicks Homura back, which she back flips and regains her balance, while the Jedi uses the force to retrieve his lightsaber from the droid's chest plate. Durge then brings out a chain to whip at them, only for Homura to slice it in two, and as the cyborg brings out his guns, Obi-wan slices those as well. As the duo attack, Durge forms, a shield on each arm and begins blocking off the ether blades and lightsaber strikes, in turn, making the battle evenly matched, until an opening is found as Obi-wan slashes the droid's right arm off while Homura uses both her blades to slice him in half.

This is when Obi-Wan receives a call from Captain Fordo , "General Kenobi, we are in position."

"Right, Homura and I are on the way." Obi-wan replies before the com hangs up, "Shall we?"

"Affirmative." She nods as she hops behind him on the speeder before they set off.

After rushing through the city, they meet up with the Muunilinst 10. Captain Fordo reports, "We're all set, General." He said before greeting the swordswoman next to him, "You must be Homura, please to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine, commander." She bows, "Shall we proceed?"

"Yes." Obi-wan nods, "Let's end this battle."

This is when they blast the roof of the muunilist bank and leap in through the celling. The clones begin shooting at the battle droids, who reply back in the same manner. By the time some destroyer droids came, Homura and Obi-Wan are the last two to leap down and slice them up, as well as deflecting their blaster Fire.

"General." Fordo calls, having a banker restrained.

"Mercy, I beg you..." The banker (San hill) pleads with his hands up, "I am merely a banker..."

"Well, that is entirely up to you." Obi-wan replies.

"This is your chance to surrender." Homura adds.

Before they could interrogate him, Durge breaks into the bank and begins attacking them. The clone open fire to force him down and one of the clowns finish them off with the missile launcher, making him crash to ground.

"Control room secured, general." Fordo confirms.

"One can never be too careful commander." Obi-wan said.

When the clones approach the smoke where Durge crashed, they're then knocked aside by a massive fleshy arm seemingly made of pure muscle fiber. Durge climbs from the crater. All his armor and gloves, except his helmet, blasted off, revealing his true Gen'Dai form.

Homura finds the form unsettling but doesn't have time to wonder as she dodges a tentacle while Obi-Wan slices an arm, but it regenerates. Durge begins to attack both of them without stopping forcing them to dodge and block. The clones then launch grappling hooks at Durge, hoping to restrain him while they blast him. The blaster fire has no effect, and Durge simply rips the lines from the wall with his sheer strength, toppling the clones.

Charging at Kenobi first, Durge goes over Obi-Wan and uses his bodys tentacles to absorb him into his body.

"General Kenobi!" Homura exclaims.

"This outta do it." Fordo fires a wire at Durge and pumps electricity through it, hoping to fry Durge. This only succeeds in enraging the Gen'Dai, who charges Fordo, only for Homura to deliver a strong slash that slices off both of Durge's arms.

"This is as far as you go." She grimaces, in a stance.

Before Durge could regenerate his arms and attack her, he suddenly bloats to a massive size and explodes—throwing the Gen'Dai's remains all over the room, courtesy of Obi-wan, who uses the force to push outward and destroy him from the inside.

"General." Fordo approaches.

"Are you all right?" Homura too.

"I'm fine." Obi-wan replies to the two and looks around, "Seems, I created quite a mess, haven't I?" He retrieves his lightsaber via the force.

"Indeed." She nods.

"Yes sir." The commander too.

Turning to San hill, who still frights on the ground, "Now where were we? Ah yes, you were surrendering."

"Ugh..." San hill lowers his head in defeat, before the clones take him away.

"That's one battle done." Homura says.

"Agreed." Obi-wan nods, before picking up the Durge's helmet, but unknown to both, his remains slither away

Meanwhile:

After moving to another part of the city, Obi-wan, Homura, Weisz, Pino, and the clones spot a ship that swoops above all of them, making them feel the wind gust.

"What was that?!" Pino asks, on alert.

"A ship?" Weisz narrows a brow, with his rifle in hand.

"It's certainly not one of ours." Kenobi identifies.

Another ship slips above them as well, which Kenobi knows, "That was Anakin!"

"But it looks as though he is chasing that other ship for a reason." Homura guesses.

Obi-wan contacts the padawan, only for him to reply, "It's under control master." Anakin replies while still chasing the ship through the city.

"You're supposed to be in space leading our forces, along the Edens zero." Kenobi repeats.

"It's under control." Anakin assures.

"Under control? I don't think so. Your place is with your squad." His master argues.

"From the looks of it, he's not listening." Homura figures.

"You're chasing one ship through the city streets!" Kenobi adds to his padawan.

"Master, this is no droid pilot." Anakin reveals, "And the force is with them." He confirms about the ship he's chasing, "I can't let'em escape!"

"The force... then he's a powerful enemy." Homura said.

"Anakin, I'm also sensing something strange. You must let that ship go, it's baiting you." Obi-wan said, also agreeing with Homura about this.

Now in space, "Master, the battle up here is more than won. I can handle this." Anakin said.

"Do not follow that ship! Anakin can you hear me!" Obi-wan exclaims, "Do not follow that ship! That is in order! Anakin!"

"Sorry sir, your signal is breaking up." Anakin disobeys orders and hangs up before going into hyper-space to chase after the enemy ship.

"That went well..." Weisz trails, knowing Kenobi is pissed with his padawan.

"Do you have the coordinates?" Obi-wan asks the commander.

"Yes, general." He nods before he's instructed to follow it.

"I'm sensing an uneasy feeling about this..." Homura shares her thoughts.

"Yes... I've also got a bad feeling on this." Obi-wan agrees.

Meanwhile:

The Azure Angel drops out of hyperspace, and Anakin Skywalker guides the starfighter in to land on the jungle moon of Yavin 4. As he heads off to investigate, Skywalker hears the sound of another ship. Back at the landing site, he sees the squad of clone troopers sent by Obi-Wan Kenobi disembarking from their transport.

"Secure the area." The clone sergeant tells the rest.

"Commander." Anakin approaches and figures, "Obi-wan gave you orders to follow me, didn't he?"

"Yes sir." The clone nods.

"Fine, have some men protect the ships." Anakin advises and lets them stay, "Prepare to sweep the jungles."

The clones comply and start to search around for the enemy on the earlier ship. As the clones fan out to search the jungle, they are taken out one-by-one by someone using the Force.

Now alone in the middle of the jungle, "Something's wrong..." Anakin feels someone nearby.

"Aaaahhh!!!" He hears a clone scream out and rushes to where he is.

"Trooper?" The padawan searches and comes back to the landing site.

"Ugh..." The clone stands, rubbing his head.

"Trooper, what happened?" He asks.

Before the clone could answer, the star-fighter exploded, killing the trooper, "R4!" Anakin exclaims. The droid beeps and before it could escape, it ends up getting caught in the blast. The droid's charred dome flies out of the flaming wreckage to land at the Padawan's feet.

Walking out of the flames, the dark assassin (Asajj Ventress) reveals herself in a cloak and stands on the wreckage of Skywalker's ship.

Anakin grimaces deeply and vows, "You're going to pay for what you've done."

"Come, padawan." Ventress lets down her hood, "Your fall will be my ascension to the Sith." She activates her dual red lightsabers.

Anakin activates his lightsaber in response and takes off his cloak. With that, the two warriors lunge at each and begin to have a back-to-back dual throughout the jungles of Yavin 4, using the Force to hurl entire trees at each other. Skywalker manages to disarm Ventress, but she leaps into the tree canopy before he could strike her down, her lightsabers following shortly after. As Anakin leaps on a tree in search of her, she stealthy uses the force to break the tree he's standing on, making him fall down, but land. With Ventress now out in the open, their duel takes them high into the trees, branches and vines, with their movements and skill being evenly matched with nobody am taking advantage over the other.

Skywalker follow Ventress to the roof of a Massassi temple, where she begins to hurl stones and masonry at him, which hit him off the platform and she then Force-pushes Skywalker across the ground. As Ventress smirks, Anakin stands up, with his clothes in tatters.

As it starts to rain heavily and the sabers sizzling, the two combatants stand motionless, lightsabers at the ready.

After 20 seconds, Skywalker makes the first move, leaping to the top of the Massassi temple where Ventress stands. They trade blows for several seconds until Skywalker Force pushes Ventress off the temple into the ruins below.

He follows her into the temple building, where they then resume their battle after she tries to sneak attack him, both using their lightsabers and Force powers to hurl water, pillars, and each other around the chamber. Ventress hurls a pillar at Anakin, only for the padawan to repel it in crashing into her, after she removes it off her, she force pushes Anakin back, but he endures it, and force pushes her out the temple.

The two then ascend the stairs to the very top of the temple building under the red moon, where the clash back and forth without stopping.

This is when Ventress finds an opening and disarms Anakin of his lightsaber. Before she could do the killing blow, Skywalker grabs her arms and uses his mechanical arm to squeeze her right arm, "AGH!" causing her to scream in pain and drop one of her lightsabers before she's force pushed back.

With his eyes closed, and uses the force to pull the red blade to him, Anakin is now filled with rage, "HAAA!!" He battle cries and furiously attacks the shocked Ventress, driving her to the edge of the temple roof. He strikes and strikes and strikes. With each blow a vision of Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Shiki appears.

Finally, the ledge under Ventress's feet collapses "AAAAHHHHH!!!" She plunges, screaming into the dark chasm below.

Looking down at his fallen enemy in triumph, "HAAAAAAAAA!!!" Anakin lets out one last scream of rage and at that shocking moment, ether gear lines form around Skywalker's left arm, with the color of blue.

After that, he tosses Ventress's lightsaber into the chasm as well, before leaving the temple and retrieving his blue saber.

Meanwhile:

"General Kenobi, a ship is approaching." Fordo informs, "Commander Skywalker followed into hyperspace and is standing by."

They see Ventress's ship approach and Homura gets her ether blades ready while Fordo and Weisz get their gun/rifle ready.

"Stand down, everyone." Obi-wan halts.

When the ship lands, it opens to reveal Anakin in it before he hops out.

"Glad to see you in one piece." Weisz said.

"Detecting multiple wounds." Pino scans, "He had just finished battling."

"I did." Anakin confirms to the little droid, before facing his master, "Sorry master... you were right." He admits, "it was a trap, planned out by the sith, and I ran headlong into it." He smirks in revealing, "But I am emerged to victorious."

"That's great to hear." Homura said.

"Indeed." Obi-wan said, arms crossed and still not pleased, "But that battle never should have been fought. I find it most troublesome with you, which is why you should always follow my orders, young one. Defiance could lead us into a dan-" Before he could finish his criticism, he receives an urgent distress call from Jedi Master Daakman Barrek on the fair wastelands of the planet. Barrek's forces have been wiped out by "a new droid general." The signal cuts out abruptly.

"Master barrek, come in!" Obi-wan repeats, but the signal shuts down as it's stepped on from the other side of the call.

"He mentioned a new droid general..." Homura catches.

"But who?" Weisz wonders.

"We're about to find out right now." Shiki's hologram appears on Kenobi's com.

He, Rebecca, and happy have just appeared at the wastelands and see a bunch of droids surrounding Jedi general's: Ki-Adi-Mundi, Shaak Ti, K'Kruhk, Aayla Secura, Tarr Seirr, and Sha'a Gi.

"We're outmaneuvered..." Shaaki-ti trails.

"He's unstoppable as well." Tarr adds

"This is the end... we're all doomed." Sha'a is on the verge of giving up.

Coming from out the droid army, the cyborg commander, General Grievous, stares them down as they have their lightsaber's out.

"Jedi, you are surrounded. Your armies decimated. Make peace with the Force now, for this is your final hour. But know that I, General Grievous, am not completely without mercy. I will grant you a warrior's death. Prepare!"

Grievous's approaching footsteps panics some of the Jedi, but Ki-Adi-Mundi urges them to remain calm.

Before the cyborg prepares to strike, "Magimech attack: GRAVITY FIST!" Shiki comes from the sky and crashes his fist down to the ground, send a forcefield of gravity that sends the battle droids flying back, except Grievous, who could his ground as his cape flies back but still attached.

"What have we here? Reinforcements?" The cyborg general guesses, glaring at Shiki, who's in front of the Jedi generals.

"Captain Granbell, you made it here just in time." Mundi said, glad that he did.

"Yeah." Shiki nods, "This makes it seven on one." He then recommends to Grievous, "It's best if you surrender."

"Not a chance, boy." Grievous raises his hands out, bringing out two lightsabers, "After I slice you down, your lightsabers will be added to my collection."

This is when the battle begins, with the cyborg General charges to engage the Gravity user and Generals. Shiki coats his fist with in a gravity-field and clashes with Grievous's lightsaber. The Generals also get in on the action to engage and Grievous begins spinning his torso around, easily holding off his five attacking foes. He focuses his attacks on Shiki, making him move back, but Granbell gets a firm composure and leaps from a saber strike. While in mid-air, he uses a force push that Grievous dodges on point. Two more charge at the general, but he uses his clawed metal limbs to get hold of Tarr Seirr and snap his neck, before hurling him and Aayla Secura across the chamber, followed by Ki-Adi-Mundi. Shiki fires off mini-gravity bullets, that the general runs around and dodges as well. Sha'a tries uses that opportunity to strike at Grievous, but the cyborg blocks his blow and stabs him in the torso, killing him.

"NO!" Mundi exclaims in shock at seeing his fallen padawan dead.

As Grievous leaps in the wall of the wreckage, Shiki uses the force to retrieve Tarr's lightsaber and wields it after activation. Grievous comes crashing down, causing the group to separate. Shiki and Shaak Ti dual Grievous at once but the General holds them off easily and spins his lightsabers, making them stunned for a moment and Grievous uses that chance to deliver a kick to Shiki's stomach, sending him flying back.

After recovering, "Damn, he's strong..." Shiki admits and gets back in.

Shaak ti manages to hold off Grievous for some time, before she is hit by one of his spinning lightsabers and thrown into the wreckage.

"Shaak ti!" Mundi exclaims before using the Force to pull one lightsaber from Grievous's belt, which he ignites and raises the green lightsaber into a guard. Shiki and Mundi attack him simultaneously, but the general lands a hard kick to Mundi and sends him flying back.

This just leaves Shiki and Grievous to dual it out. Seeing and taken back a bit by the strength and speed that Grieous is showing off, "Guess I'll step it up a notch." Shiki coats his left fist in gravity and punches the general back, even though he block it with hiss lightsabers, the force of that impact was still strong.

With his left fist coated in gravity and right hand wielding a blue lightsaber, the dual continues for the next 10 seconds and this time, Shiki begins to get the upper hand hand on the cyborg and uses the force to grab ahold of him.

"!" Grievous widens.

Shiki then slams him to the ground before forcing pushing him to the wreckage. After a few second, Grievous comes back out and charges again for the dual to continue. Looking to end this right now, Shiki uses his strength to amp his gravity pushes Grievous back with a swing of his saber and then uses his gravity fist to smash the ground and send out a gravitational field, engulfing the General and sending it far out.

After the smoke clears, Shiki looks around for Grievous but finds no sign of him, "!" Upon gazing up, the general is latched on to one of the droid ships and glares down at the Gravity user one more time before the droid ship retreats from the battlefield.

"..." Shiki takes this as a sign of victory and deactivates the lightsaber as Rebecca and happy land with their star fighter.

"Shiki!" Rebecca hops out the fighter.

"Who exactly was that guy... he looked like an android." Happy guesses.

"I don't know... but this definitely won't be the last we see him." Shiki said, still gazing at the air before turning to them with a smile, "But more importantly, we won the battle." He said, getting smiles from Rebecca and Happy.

After the battle:

"Everyone, there's something I must reveal." Anakin speaks up to the everyone, showing his left hand and reveals ether lines that are blue.

"!" Everyone, especially Shiki's and Obi-wan are shocked at this.

"Is that..." Homura utters.

"Ether gear linings...!" Weisz exclaims.

"How did that happen...?" Pino asks.

"When I fought that Sith assassin, on Yavin 4." Anakin reveals, "I tested it for a moment, and it appears that J somehow inherited a gravity-type ether gear, similar to yours, Granbell." He gazed at Shiki, who's still speechless. pulling his sleeve back down.

"That's... awesome!" Shiki widens in amazement, "Not countingi myself, is this the first time a jedi uses both the force and ether gear?"

"Yes. It is." Obi-wan confirms, "The council's gonna be surprised to hear this." He adds inwardly furthermore, "On top of being the chosen one to bring balance to the force... he even has a gravity ether gear similar to Shiki."

"That makes us twins in gravity now." The EZ captain comments, "We can even spare sometime to see what your new power is made of." He grins.

"Sure thing. You're on." Anakin smiles, accepting the offer, along with his new ether gear power.

Meanwhile on Coruscant:

Master Yoda senses a disturbance in the Force: "Mmmm. A Jedi, now possessing an ether gear and the force. Awakened a new power, Skywalker has. But control it first, he must." He adds, "Also... Darker, the coming storm grows. I fear the dark cloud of the Sith shrouds us all."

I'm now back to this story and that's it for the battle of Muunilist/Yavin 4!

Even though the Muunilist stuff is legends, a 95% majority of the crossover is gonna be canon timeline.

Off-topic, I heard Edens Zero is ending in 5 chapters. It was a great ride for the series and I think I made the right choice in waiting for the endgame of the war arc to continue this story.
