He was not having a good day, which was expected by now. He only wished he could have spent his 19th birthday with those he had left in peace. Too bad his little sister had accidentally wandered into the Labyrinth, and he volunteered to go after her on his own. No, he wasn't at all regretting going in after his little sister, just doing so alone is all, especially when Annabeth and Rachel had volunteered to go with him, he just figured since the death of Daedelus the Labyrinth wouldn't be playing mind games, he was wrong or course, because nothing was logical in his life, and he should have fully accepted that by now, but sometimes he was too stubborn.

Percy never realized how fast a one and a half year old blessed by Lady Artemis could run, until now, at least luckily, he was able to catch up quickly. Being a demigod had its perks, of course. As soon as he caught sight of her, she exited the Labyrinth through a door.

What really sucked, other than his sister running off of course, was the fact he didn't get a chance to receive all of his presents, but boy was he glad to have gotten the new wristwatch shield Tsyon made for him with Briares, it could even tell time in the Labyrinth! He didn't know exactly how it worked, seeing as he zoned out for a bit, but he knew they used some of Kronos's essence while forging it or something like that, of course that wasn't all he received, he got what looked like the starting armor you'd see in an adventure game, given to him by his dad who apparently had it commissioned by Hephaestus and Hecate, I mean it had vambraces, knee and elbow pads, a strap on his thigh that connected to his belt that could be used to hold something like a sheathe, a magic satchel connected to the back of his belt, and some weird clothe cape that had a rope attached to it, all he knew about it was that something would happen if he tugged on the rope, and the satchel had some Ambrosia, Nectar, Moon water which was a gift from Artemis specifically and some Unicorn powder and drought, and various other gifts from some Gods and Goddesses he managed to get in the good graces of.

He didn't care about that right now, tho, because he was about to open the door Estelle went through and bring her back, and to think the day was going so good too, he even had a great wake up call!

FLASHBACK TO THIS MORNING 1ST PERSON POV

I woke up when I felt something resting on my chest and a light tickling sensation on my face, but I didn't sense any danger so I kept my eyes closed for a bit longer, I only opened them when I heard giggling, and was promptly met with the sight of Estelle with blue pancake mix all over her and smiling at my face which caused me to realize what happened and laugh with her. Of course that didn't last long as Paul came in and said "Sorry Percy, we tried keeping her away from your room, but she's getting too fast and quiet..." which makes sense, she was blessed by Lady Artemis after my 18th birthday all I wished for was her safety. "...although it would seem you don't mind."

And of course I didn't, she was only a year old after all, and blue food is great, so getting some without having to get out of bed was a bonus, even if it was smothered across my face, he laughed as I told him as such, and of course he agreed because who wouldn't? But going on from there I got out of bed, got dressed, and had breakfast with Estelle, my mom, and Paul, it was a fairly quite affair, only the normal greetings of "Good morning." Until I was reminded of the fact it was my birthday by Estelle wishing me a happy birthday, which caused me to freeze, because this is the second time I forgot it was my birthday, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

After that we all got dressed and went to Central Park to have a small party, mom and Estelle wore simple sundresses with sandals, Paul wore a plain t-shirt, slacks and comfortable but nice running shoes, I just wore a camp Half-Blood t-shirt, jeans and a pair of Reeboks.

When we got to the park almost everyone was there, Grover, Thalia, Nico, Will, Reyna, Clarisse, Chris, Rachel, Leo, Calypso, Tyson, Ella, Meg, Lityerses, Piper, Shel, and even Carter and Sadie, Annabeth wasn't here quite yet, likely due to the fact that she's getting Magnus and Alex on her way over, which us a bit of a surprise, not the fact that they would come, but the fact that all four, or is it three? Pantheons can interact freely now, so seeing Sadie and Carter, or Magnus and Alex doesn't have to be due to a world ending threat! Of course while I was off in my own world they showed up.

"Happy Birthday Percy! Hope it's been good so far?" Annabeth half yelled from about fifty feet away, as Alex and Magnus did the same after they got closer, before heading towards Sadie and Will respectively.

They seemed to be good friends ever since they hit it off so well during the first gathering like this, which made sense I suppose, what with Sadie and Alex's brash demeanor not that I'm one to talk and Will and Magnus much preferring to not fight and just take on the role of support.

Annabeth made her way over and greeted me with a hug, before deciding to tease me with a question she knew the answer to already, "So, you replace me yet Seaweed Brain? Who's the lucky girl, or guy? I won't judge."

Of Course I just had to respond in kind, how could I not? "I'm afraid I'm forever alone now Wisegirl, oh woe is me." That got a good chuckle out of us, and Piper and Leo who were trying and failing to discreetly eavesdrop.

I should probably explain that interaction shouldn't I? After the Giant war and the whole mess with Apollo, and those college recommendation letters. I had graduated early by the way, who knew a son of Poseidon would ace marine biology? Between fighting Setne and trying to train Magnus, we got together to talk, and we both agreed that if we were to properly heal we needed to be away from each other, so we broke up. Which isn't to say the love between us was lost, no if anything it grew stronger, it just shifted is all, a few months ago in fact. We were still in love with each other thus making some things awkward, but that love turned into one more akin of a best friend you've known your entire life. I like to think it's Aphrodite learning what Mercy is and deciding we needed some of it, but I don't have my hopes up.

Anyway, after that interaction we all played some games and had some snacks, before it was time for lunch, which resulted in a food fight and me making sure Estelle stayed clean by putting her in a bubble made using the fountain water, and of course after that came the presents, which was mostly just stuff like Drachma and Denarii.

Although there was some cool stuff, like a lighter which uses Greek Fire, a Nordic ruin of protection, a Shabti which turns into a tiny lion. Though what was probably my favorite, was the use of Bolverk's whetstone to sharpen Riptide. If her glowing brighter was anything to go by then she's extremely happy, and some regular cash.

Of course that's exactly when Estelle went missing, or almost missing, so as I went to go after her Annabeth and Rachel offered to join me, of course I turned them, but then I was held back by Tyson who along with making me go with the wristwatch shield he and Briares had made, was told I wasn't to leave until I got my gifts from the gods, as decreed by them.

Said gifts consisted of the gift my father had commissioned, along with a magic satchel which I put my other gifts into. Based on what I saw, it already contained Ambrosia, Nectar, Moon Water, Unicorn drought and powder, some Hermes Multivitamins, a goblet and plate from camp, and the Nemean Lion pelt. Something that looked suspiciously like the skin of my dead brother Chrysomallos, and what I'm about thirty percent sure isn't Pandora's Pythos was also in there. Maybe I should have payed more attention to the descriptions of said items as they were explained to me, but I was also too impatient to really care at the time, with my baby sister having ran off into the dungeon. Which would bring us to now, me about to open the door she went through and bring her back safe and sound.

FLASHBACK END 3RD PERSON POV

As Percy Opened the door he immediately realized something was wrong, the buildings didn't look right, the people didn't either, and the three plant like monsters holding some girls while another seemed to be casting a spell definitely didn't look right to him, but he wasn't worried that at the moment, partially due to knowing she could handle it based on the amount of magic and power going into that spell, partially because at that moment something happened.

Estelle didn't know what was going on, but she was scared and wanted her mom and her dad. She especially wanted her big brother who always protected her when she got into situations like the one she's in now, only this time instead of one hulking Bullman with a bunch of armor and a scary axe, it was five bullmen all smaller than the one she encountered a few months ago, with nothing on and not a single one wielding an axe.

They were still plenty scary to her tho, so she did the only thing she knew to do in these situations, "PERCYYYY!!!" She called for her brother, and just like that, there was a jaw rattling BOOOM! and her brother was standing in front of her with blood from four of the five minotaur covering him, with an expression that reassured her but terrified the last minotaur.

He scoffed, "As if dealing with one of you wasn't annoying enough." He received a grunt in response, one which he took as an insult, and so he responded in kind. "Whatever, how do you want to die this time? Like you did on the Hill, or the bridge? Perhaps you'd like to try something new?"

As it turns out, that minotaur didn't like being talked to like that, because it reached for Estelle, which it immediately regretted as it found it's arm snapped off and shoved in it's own mouth, with the last words it would ever hear being "Keep your gods damned hands off of my sister Beef for Brains."

Percy decided he should clean himself and Estelle off before he picks her up, so he did, and with naught a thought the blood was off of them and on the ground next to them as he picked his sister up. "Are you okay, Estelle? You're not hurt, right?"

And of course she wasn't, not if her big brother was around, so she told him."No, I'm okay." With a smile as bright as day one he returned, but with much less radiance as he looked at his watch, which showed it's been three days since he went looking for Estelle.

Their mother would be worried sick, but he'd be back soon, he just had to get back to the Labyrinth, a Labyrinth which was no longer there as he soon found out, and that didn't sit well with him. Was this some joke from a god or goddess who didn't like him? He wouldn't be surprised. It sounded just like something they'd do after all, only he had a feeling that wasn't the case, that it was the Labyrinth itself that did all this, and he grew even more annoyed.

However before he could go any further into his musings a finger poking his cheek and his sister calling his name broke him out. "Percy, the pretty ladies want to talk."

He looked at his sister before looking at the five women standing a few feet away from them, two were darker skinned with dark hair and eyes, and had some sort of skirt or dress, however one had a tube top and the other what looked like a bathing suit top, another had long blonde hair and honey colored eyes, wearing a dress that was ruined, the fourth had a more refined look and dress than the others, she had ginger hair and dark blue eyes, the fifth had a familiar aura about her that seemed to mingle on the other four a little bit, they all seemed a bit nervous, and he didn't realize why, until his sister told him

"Percy, your making that face again." Oh, that would make sense, whenever Estelle said 'that face' she was either referring to the wolf stare Lupa taught him, or his brooding expression, one which has been compared to his father's before, neither of which was particularly welcoming, so he softened his features, and he apologized.

"Sorry, what was it you needed?" One of them responded after a few moments, the one that had the familiar aura in fact, she had red medium length hair in a ponytail, with red eyes, and an outfit consisting of blue heels, black stockings, black short shorts, a blue and white belt with a silver buckle, a blue tube top with thin white lines near the top and bottom, and a crop top that was so far up that calling it a crop top was doing it an injustice.

"Yes! I was wondering if you'd like to join my Familia? You're quite impressive!" A Familia wasn't something I had heard before, or rather, I didn't think she meant it in the same context as I do, but I had to make sure.

"Your...Familia, what exactly do you mean by that?" Of Course my suspicions were confirmed after she blinked a couple of times.

"My Familia, the Loki Familia? You would be an adventurer in my Familia. I'm Loki, by the way." I don't know why she felt the need to point out she was Loki, then again I didn't know what a Familia was here, which based on her reaction is common knowledge, so I guess it would make sense she would clarify who she is, which brings me to why her aura felt familiar, it was that of a God's, but much weaker than any I've met, and if Magnus and Alex are to be believed. Then she's weaker than Loki when they met. Which leads me to believe this isn't a Loki that I should have ever met, under any circumstances, well that and the fact that Loki should still be trapped in a walnut. I have to give an answer, but as of now I don't trust this Loki or anyone associated with her, at least for now, so I guess I have my answer.

"No, I won't. Sorry, but I have other things to attend to before joining a Familia, maybe some other time, later."

TIMESKIP: THREE AND A HALF HOURS FIRST PERSON POV, PERCY

"Yes Mama Mia, I can start tomorrow that's no issue. Cook, clean, wait on people, or kick them out, I can do all of it if I need to." She stared at me a bit with a hard look, before her eyes glanced down to my baby sister asleep in my arms, and her eyes softened.

"Well alright, but it's only because of your sister there that I'm breaking my own rules, and if you mess up three times. You're on your own, so I don't want to hear any complaints, you hear?" She stares me in the eyes again, we both know those are bluffs, but we also both know I can't call her out on them, I can't afford to when taking care of my baby sister.

Not to mention after searching all of this new city for any signs of Labyrinth entrances and finding none. It looks like this is my only option, but it's not a bad one. Mama Mia is stern, but she's kind and caring, like our mother, so I smile and agree to her terms. "Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less."

She hands me a small cake I had asked for earlier, complete with two lit candles. "Good, I expect good things from you, now here's your cake, have a happy birthday." I smile again, it's hard not to when around her, she reminds me of my mother. "Thank you."

As she walks away I blow out the candles after making a wish. A wish to let my mother know I found Estelle and she's safe, and will remain so, but I may not be able to come back. And it seems to work, seeing as the smoke raised in the air with a silvery hue, before dissipating, Artemis heard my wish, and granted it, or two Artemis's did it would seem. The smoke from the candles went in two separate directions. That might be something to look into another time, but for now, I need to put Estelle to sleep, and rest myself for my first day of work tomorrow.
