Normal day in heaven
"Daaaad! Brother's gone and broke the window again!"
The shrill cry from a girl jolted Elliot out of his work, causing him to bang his knee under the desk as he almost shot out of his chair. The hybrid massaged the sore spot as he cursed under his breath.
'Ow…not again. Just what is it this time?'
Locking the computer, Elliot exited his study and sauntered to where he heard his daughter. The dull throb of his still sore knee barely bothered him as he walked, his mind reaching out towards his shadow.
'Perry, just what's going on with the kids? Tell me everything.'
'The young master and mistress had been playing football when the young mistress accidentally kicked the ball too hard, resulting in a shattered window. In her quest to get out scot-free, she had resorted to blaming the young master for suggesting the idea of playing football.'
Elliot groaned, feeling equal measures of fatigue and aggravation at having to deal with his kids messing about again. Especially galling was the fact that currently they're supposed to be tutored by their teachers instead of playing truant.
'Where are those three when this happened? I specifically told them to keep an eye on them to prevent such things from happening. Where did they scamper off to?'
Hesitation leaked through the link and Elliot felt there was more to the story than he was told. He pressed further, 'Perry, where are the dogs?'
'.…. They had been distracted by the young miss after she had promised them that she would let them run loose at the forest around the estate grounds. I'm sorry to say that they had been bribed off by the young miss.'
Elliot would have been mad had he not been impressed by his daughter's resourcefulness. A laugh came from him as he was gripped with humor from the account.
Well, that was to be expected of his daughter who took after her mother's intelligence but also inherited his cunning and 'open mindedness'.
'That's actually impressive, not going to lie. Guess she had been putting her lessons to good use albeit not for the right reasons. Don't tell anything to those three for now, I'll deal with them later.'
'Yes master. I shall continue my watch.'
The wide estate courtyard loomed into view, with servants gathered at the edges as they watched the unfolding spectacle in the lush garden. His kids were still there, arguing with each other as they fought to advance their own agenda. The window close to the West wing corridor was broken, with several servants busy dealing with the aftermath of his children's mishap.
"You're the one who wanted to play football! If we hadn't play football this wouldn't had happened!"
"You're the one who kicked the ball too hard! All of this wouldn't had happened if you're a bit more careful!"
The whole exchange was amusing to watch but Elliot knew it would heat up quick if left unchecked, though if they saw him his daughter would be quick to spin her own tale. Better he surprised them to deliver his own punishment.
Elliot stealthily made his way closer to the courtyard, brushing past a group of servants who were drawn by the commotion. A young maid had noticed him as her eyes widened, her mouth parted to call.
"Master! Yo-!"
Elliot raised a finger to his lips, hushing the maid, "Sssh. Tell the other servants to leave for now. I'll take it from here."
"Yes master."
The maid hurried away to carry out his orders and the congregation of curious servants began to thin out. Elliot maneuvered to the side and silently approached his children with his cloak activated, taking great care not to tip them off of his approach.
"Now you've broke the window again! Dad's going to be mad when he knows about it!"
"Know about what, little lady?"
His daughter yelped in surprised, turning around slowly with an apprehensive look. Her face morphed to terror as she met his eyes which clearly displayed his displeasure at his cunning daughter.
"D-Dad! Jackie broke the window again! He kept saying he didn't do it!"
His son didn't took the accusation lying down. True to his headstrong temperament, the young boy rose to defend himself.
"Because it's true! You did it and blame me for it! You're not afraid of lying to dad Kira!?"
The ensuing argument came back to life and it was all Elliot could do before he lost his cool. As much as he knew who was at fault, he had to put up a false front in order to prevent his trump card from being exposed. If this episode was any indication of his daughter's resourcefulness, she might've just figured a way to fox Perry next time if she knew about him.
Elliot cleared his throat and his kids quiet down. He fixed a stern gaze at his two children and he knew that what came next was unpleasant but had to be done.
"Kids, ignoring the fact that either of you had broken the window again, just what're you supposed to be doing at this hour?"
A bolt of dread shot through his kids as they paled, not helped by the fact that he was glaring at them with a peeved look. Elliot knew his kids were cognizant at why he was most displeased at them right now.
"It's 2'o clock right now and instead of taking classes from your tutors, I find you two sneaking off to play. Where are the dogs?"
Kira had the gall to look sheepish, averting her eyes sideways as she blatantly concocted a lie.
"They've found something interesting and ran off…. I don't know what happened to them."
Elliot should be even madder at his daughter lying to him had it not been amusing to witness her inept attempt at doing so. At least he had his fill of humor despite having his afternoon ruined.
Oh, he was going to give those dogs a hard time after this.
Opening a connection towards his 3 hounds, he was flooded with a sense of anticipation from the dogs. It further lend credence to Perry's statement about the hounds.
'Nyx, Boomer, Flint, get over here now. I need to have a word with you three and I wanted to see you 10 seconds ago. Move your asses!'
Upon realizing he had reached out to them, the joy radiating from the canines were replaced with aghast alarm. He could pick up their frantic barks echoing throughout the estate as the sound of paws tapping rapidly on the ground grew closer.
Three jet black robotic dogs scampered out from the East Wing, scaring servants as they ran towards him. The three dogs leapt over the hedgerow before skidding to a stop in front of him, sitting alertly awaiting his command.
"You three, what did I tell you about watching over the kids? Give me a good answer as to why you guys are somewhere else instead of keeping an eye on them."
The dogs literally wilted at his chiding. Their heads slumped down in dejection as their tails were tucked between their hind legs.
'We-We're just wanted to go out...'
Boomer yelped as Nyx nipped him. The female dog was peeved at the gregarious hound, though Elliot knew what the taciturn hound was worried about.
'Keep your mouth shut! You've just told master why we're not doing our job, dummy!'
'Uh oh… I think master already knew…'
Hearing one of their kin's remarks, the three landbound drones turned towards him. Elliot glared at the hounds as he let his displeasure flowed through their mental link.
"You three were having fun while my kids were getting into trouble. What's more, I heard that you three were bribed by my daughter to turn a blind eye in exchange for a run around the house. Does my order mean nothing to you three?"
Knowing just what their mistake was, the canines were suitably ashamed. The hybrid was greeted by the sight of 3 dangerous autonomous weapons submissively bowing their heads in hopes he wouldn't punish them.
Craning his head towards Kira, he watched as his daughter looked aghast at his reveal. Clearly the Sarashiki heir knew he had gotten wind of her antics and knew there would be hell to pay.
"Kids, you're both grounded. You two better write an apology letter to your tutors for wasting their time and effort. And also, think of something to apologize to the servants for cleaning up your mess."
His children were not happy to know they're grounded. The two kids slumped their shoulders as he turned around and departed the courtyard. Before he got out of earshot, he left one final word for his cunning daughter.
"And Kira, you're in deep trouble for lying and bribing the dogs. Your mother will be hearing about this and you can look forward to additional punishment for this. Let this be a lesson for doing something that'll put you and your brother in danger on top of being a liar."
As he returned to his study, he could hear his daughter dropped onto her knees. A quick glance backwards showed the girl had a look of shock and utter chagrin twisting her face. Doubts about his punishment began creeping into him at his daughter's distress.
'Was I being too harsh?'
Nighttime had descended upon the Sarashiki estate as Elliot finished his shower. Barring the incident in the afternoon, it had mostly been an uneventful day. Now he could finally sit back and enjoy a good book after a long day dealing with the family's investments and a short meeting with various representatives of the family branch.
Opening the door to his study, he was greeted by a surprise visitor. Sitting on his desk with her legs crossed and a mystifying smile was his wife, still in her business suit that hugged every inch of her mature figure.
"Well, well…enjoy your bath dear? I had been looking for you for something."
"Funny, because I'm also looking for you too. There's something I need to talk with you."
With both of them comfortably situated on the couch, Elliot proceeded to spill the beans about their daughter's antics this afternoon. Tatenashi was very displeased by the kids missing class considering she arranged it for them but when told the story how Kira managed to bribe the dogs, she responded in the way he'd expected.
The study was filled with rolling laughter as the Sarashiki family head was amused by the account from her husband. Her voluptuous body trembled from laughing as Elliot watched Tatenashi enjoying his story.
"Ah ha ha, I didn't expect Ra-chan to be this smart. Oh, she'll get a good punishment after this. I know what she can do to make her regret it."
Silently, Elliot prayed that his wife would at least show some restraint in punishing their daughter. Loving wife and doting mother she could be, Tatenashi could be a strict disciplinarian when it came to her own spawn from time to time.
"I don't know if I'm being a bit too harsh on her, Tana. She looks sad knowing she'll get punished by you."
"Oh, don't worry dear. I think you've made the right call. No one would've thought so much about the servants' wellbeing and the teachers have told me they've received an apology letter from the kids. I'll be a bit merciful to Kira. You've done quite well in disciplining them now."
Elliot shrugged, feeling a bit abashed at hearing praise from his wife.
"Not really. I just made sure to teach them to respect other people, especially those beneath them. Can't have them turned out spoiled and arrogant in the future like those stereotypical rich kids."
Tatenashi drew closer to him, sitting in his lap and circling her arms on his neck. The woman planted a chaste kiss on his cheek, with Elliot humming pleasantly from the contact.
"That's why you're a better parent than me. You gave them what they need without being too harsh or too coddling to them. The kids are lucky to have a father like you."
Elliot smiled, savoring the heartfelt praise from his wife. Peering into her eyes to see the love shining within them, the hybrid knew no effort is in vain for his family.
"Just making sure they have a good childhood without growing up spoilt. They'll never go through what I've been through if I have a say in it."
Tatenashi pressed closer and nuzzled her head onto his shoulder. Her hand came up to rest comfortingly on his heart in a gesture of reassurance. Her tone was wistful and reassuring, more to him than for their kids.
"And they won't be. For all you did for us, they'll never be lacking in anything. I just hope that someday they could accept the truth what their dad is."
Elliot said nothing. His arms came to wrap around his wife in hopes of assuaging his own fears. True, his kids were born into wealth and had them as loving parents, a far cry to his own harsh childhood. But part of him couldn't help but wonder if his secret would unravel the pleasant lives they now led.
Well, such fears should be left for another time when he's calmer and level headed. Right now, he had a more pressing matter at hand.
Elliot smirked confidently at Tatenashi, banishing his morose thoughts to focus on his wife.
"Well…seeing there's not much for us adults right now, how about we cut the chatter and get down to something more… exciting? It's been quite a dry few months after all and I'm really keyed up."
The last part of his statement sent Tatenashi blushing up a storm. Her pupils dilated in excitement and growing lust, though it was well concealed by the look of flabbergasted chagrin.
"You-! Pervert! Didn't you do enough last time!? I can barely walk the next morning after doing it the whole night!"
Elliot chuckled darkly, feeling his own surging lust taking hold of him at the sight of his powerful wife acting like a bashful schoolgirl.
"But you didn't complain much during our…'bedtime activities'. Surely you won't start complaining now?"
Fast as lightning, Elliot quickly lifted his wife in his arms and padded out of the study. Tatenashi threw her arms around his shoulders and held on tight, a goofy grin plastered on her face as she giggled girlishly.
While the future was uncertain, Elliot knew that was the incentive to savor what peace he had now. The ups and downs of life made each day a puzzle onto its own but Elliot wouldn't trade it for anything.
Because he was in heaven, a place he once thought impossible but now lived in it every day. With his own family and the woman he loved more than anything, there's no place on Earth that he'll belong to except here and now.
And he wouldn't trade it for anything. Not even for everlasting fame, boundless wealth and immortality even if he had a fraction of all three right now. For them, he'll give up all of it for his family.
The hybrid padded along the hallway in long, silent strides, heading for his room with his wife in his arms. Both were buzzing in excitement for what would come next.
Author's note: In this story, I've experimented with suggestive themes as a way to hone my skills. Not anything to racy but enough that you all can fill the blanks yourself. I may want to add lemons in but still not sure about it so tell me what you think about my attempts here.
In this story, I'm also experimenting with the idea that Elliot had more autonomous drones to accompany him, similar to Perry. Not that anything would be significant or foreshadowing of the main story but who knows? Tell me what you think about this guys.
Like I've said before, these stories are a form of blank canvas for me to experiment with a lot of things. So if you guys find an idea or change good, don't hesitate to let me know. Many a good idea had come from you guys and I'm always excited to talk with any of you if I can get more inspiration.
As always, comment and PM me with ideas or constructive criticism. Have a good day, OtherJAckK out!
