As sirens blared out, they all raced towards the burning building. A mother and her son were trapped inside the building with no way out. The thick black smoke was soon engulfing their lungs making it harder for them to breathe. The mother hugged her son tightly.
"Don't worry, Jeremy." She assured her son, "We'll get out of here soon. I swear.", she wasn't exactly confident in her words given by how violently she shook, but she couldn't let it cloud her maternal instinct.
The boy named Jeremy nodded firmly before he buried his face into his mothers chest a piece of the roof fell off, they both waited for the crushing but was pleasantly surprised. "Woah...", the moment Billy opened his eyes he was greeted with Sunburn, the creature made of magma. "Who are you?"
"Just a passerby.", Sunburn stated causally as he effortlessly threw the chunk of a roof away.
"S-Stay away!" She yelled. The creature made of magma furrowed his brow of sorts.
With a lift of his arm, the fire began to churn and funnel together into the palm of his hand. Completely removing the fire in the room, much to Jeremy's amazement. "If you want to leave, I'm the best chance you got."
"You can get us out of here?", Jeremy asked as he removed himself from his mother.
"Jeremy! Get away from it!"
"I mean if he can help us get out, why shouldn't we?", Jeremy asked as his mother looked at the fire creature, she had no other option as she stood up.
Sunburn led them out of the room before unleashing a focused beam of heat at a wall that completely disintegrated it. Suddenly, a fiery tornado erupted out of the hole and crashed to the ground and dissipated once making impact, leaving Sunburn with the mother and her son outside.
The mom soon picked up her son and hugged him tightly, she gazed over the to man of magma before crying happily, "Thank you! Thank you so much!" The civilians gaped in amazement.
"Phew, good thing that worked.", Sunburn sighed in relief, he wasn't... completely confident in that move. He took a quick glance over to the boy holding a golden Sumo Slammers card, "Nice card, kid."
"Thank you, mister fire man!", the boy exclaimed excitedly as he saw the Rust Bucket pull up.
"Hey, hot head! The fire was just a diversion to cover up a jewelry store robbery!", Gwen exclaimed from the window, she immediately noticed his expression dropped.
"That's overly complicated don't you think?", Sunburn scowled before popping his shoulder and scooting away from the child. Kneeling down he bursted into the air in a fiery stream before quickly turning his body mid air.
"W-Woah! Shit!", Sunburn flew through the air with... no grace whatsoever, Max had told him that his species could fly via jet propulsion... "Could've fucking told me this shit was hard at least-! Jesus!", he was extremely close to colliding with the ground but immediately boosted back up.
The Rust Bucket sped after him, Max rolling down the window before looking at him. "You alright up there?!", he shouted to the creature.
"Uh-", Sunburn briefly stopped flying before catching himself with propulsion again. "Uh... could be better honestly. What am I looking for?!"
"A black sedan!", Max exclaimed as Ben poked his head out from the other window with part of a broom and pointed it ahead at the sedan.
"All yours, Heatblast!", Ben exclaimed in a rather mocking tone of voice.
"Ugh. It's Sunburn brat!", Sunburn shouted back before speeding forward, because he didn't want to crash to the ground he inhaled before unleashing a stream of fire from his mouth like a dragon. The fire colliding with the sedan's tires and melted them into a thick, black goo.
The sedan quickly began to lose traction, rapidly severing through the streets before crashing into the side of a brick building. The three robbers stumbled out of the car to see Sunburn simply rolling a ball of flames in his thick fingers.
"What is that?!"
"It's a freak!"
"Wow, haven't heard that before.", Sunburn sarcastically stated as one of the robbers took out a gun that was immediately obliterated by a fireball. "So, unless you want to go home in an urn, I suggest you put your hands against the wall."
With the threat of being incinerated, the two of the three robbers dropped their guns, the three turned around and placed their hands against the wall behind them. "Much better! See how much easier life is when you're not resisting?... for extra measure.", he lifted his finger and blasted a beam of fire at one of their feet, causing that one to yelp in pain.
Sunburn was going to continue his torture until he heard the sounds of police sirens. "That's my cue. See you later gentlemen.", he waves before erupting into a pillar of flames that flew away. The police arrived seconds after, only seeing a near pitch black mark where he blasted from.
With the knowledge that his time was running out, he quickly landed next to the RV that had parked a few blocks away. Ben quickly opened the door and allowed the fiery creature to rush in. "So how'd it go?", Ben asked as Sunburn shrugged.
"I don't like flying.", Sunburn stated as the warning beeping sounds rang through the motorhome before a bright red flash engulfed it. Alex stood there, rubbing his neck. "I'll figure out the rest later."
"No you won't.", Gwen states casually before looking at Max. "So where to next."
"Oh you'll see."
In the state of Washington, a man walked the pathway to a rundown building. The windows were boarded up, vegetation had started to grow around wildly, tiles of the roof seemed to be missing, mail was piled up in the mailbox, the paint on the house seemed to be coming straight off. The man standing on the porch was a heavy set fellow in a black suit with a red tie, he held an assortment of keys. He shifted through the keys before finding the right one and shoving it inside the lock opening the door.
The door to the house creaked open. The landlord slowly stepped into the dark room, flipping on the light that sputtered to life. With it he could see a couch over to his right with holes scattered through it, a broken coffee table, a chimney, and tanks filled with an assortment of animals. Ranging from frogs to snakes, lizards and iguana's, to even what he thought was an alligator. "What in the fuck."
He pinched his nose closed as the whole room stunk of dead animal skin, hopefully anyways. He quickly turned around before jumping back once he saw the man that was renting the house.
The man had pale green skin, yellowish eyes, and stringy, shoulder length white hair. He wore a grey tank top, brown pants that appeared to be stitched together, and black boots, with black fingerless gloves that extended up his forearms and a torn white lab coat that was missing its left sleeve. He had grey fingernails that seemed to be a bit too long with jagged teeth.
"What do you want?" The man snarled as the man intruded into his home. "How'd you get in my home."
The man soon straightened himself out. "I'm your landlord, remember? Well, maybe not because your rent is six months past due."
The green skinned man rolled his eyes. "I have more important matters to attend to, your shabby rent can wait a bit longer. Now leave!", he exclaimed as he went to the dining area.
"Listen freak! If you don't want you and your furry little friends to be on the street, you'd fork over the cash.", the landlord snapped in anger before he saw Animo slip something on.
"This.", he had placed on what looked like a spaghetti strainer with two metal poles that had red bulbs attached to the top, ear muffs we're attached along with multiple cords from the strainer going down into what looked like part of a metal vest. A thick, empty cord attached to it leading to a bulky gauntlet on his left arm. "Is my Transmodulator. The original one was confiscated due to some... mishaps, you might call them."
"Take that goofy thing off, you fuckin freak.", the landlord felt something churn in his stomach, as if the disturbing smile on his tenant's face triggered a primal reaction.
"Of course, that was only a minor step back. I assume you'd like a demonstration?", the green skinned man gestured as he looked around before plucking a sleek, red eyed mouse from its enclosure. "Its primary function is to rapidly stimulate cells into mutating on a cellular level. Observe."
He turned a dial on the vest, causing the bulbs and tube to glow brightly as he lightly touched the rat. The red energy touched the rat only slightly but it began to let out squeaks before it began to erupt in size until it nearly destroyed the ceiling from its growth, its fur becoming matted with a rigged underbelly, its red eyes becoming sharper and more numerous as its tail split into tendrils. It's muzzle filled with three twos of needle-like teeth and a forked tongue. Its hands were far more human like and exhibited razor sharp claws.
"W-What the hell is that?!", the landlord exclaimed before the mutated rat-like monster lunged and began to feast on the still living landlord.
Pleased with this, he simply looked at a picture from a news paper. It had turned a bit yellow with age but still eligible enough for him to see what's on it. "Just one more step into getting what I deserve, all I need is a few components. Hmmm... I know just the place."
He picked up a small green toad, activating his Transmodulator as he placed it down. The small green toad immediately erupted into the size of a car, its vibrant green skin turning onto a mossy color with dark brown fur growing around its torso, sharp tusks jutting out of ifs mouth as it gained another set of eyes. "With my army of creatures, I'm going to bury that motherfucker!"
The Tennyson Trio and their tag along roamed the isles of Mega Mart, an incredibly expansive superstore with essentially anything you could find within. "Only canned Octopus?", Max cocked an eyebrow as he looked at a can of octopus. "And here I thought the store prided itself on its fresh selection."
"Maybe because you're in the can isle.", Alex pointed out smugly as it clicked in Max's head. He heard the sound of a vibration in his pocket, or what he assumed to be it.
"Hmm... I have a call to take really quickly, you three get the rest of the stuff and I'll meet you back at the front.", Max said as he handed Alex a list of the items they needed, some being crossed out. "It won't take long, I swear."
If it was... work related, Max didn't want his grandkids peering in on information he didn't want to know. Alex gave a thumbs up as Max vanished into the isles.
"Here you go ginger.", Alex handed the paper to Gwen.
"What's wrong? Can't read?", Ben asked jokingly as Alex slowly turned his head to him.
"I'm dyslexic.", Alex said casually.
"What's that?"
"It means the words get jumbled up to him."
"Oh."
"Eh it's okay, started a program last year that's helping me out so I guess it's not that big of an issue.", Alex says waving it off.
"Hey, while we're here, can we pick up some boxes of Sumo Snack Cereal?", Ben asked curiously. "I got red, blue and green cards, and all I need is the gold one."
Gwen looked at Ben with a raised eyebrow. "How many?"
"At least like, 10."
"Fuck no.", Alex laughed before pushing the cart along, Gwen following.
"Dude, that's the only one I have left. Help me out here.", Ben whined like a child, which he was already but thats irrelevant.
"Womp Womp, what? Want me to play a sad song on the world's smallest violin? Get real runt.", Alex snickered as Gwen looked at the older boy and lightly patted him.
"I think I was wrong about you."
"Shut up."
On the other hand with Max, he pulled out a flip phone and held it to his ear. "Oscar, what is it?"
["After I left the camping site I had to do a quick inventory check at the Rushmore Base, everything is accounted for. The Proto-Tool, Leviathan, Jörmungandr, the plasma rifles-"]
"Just cut to the chase.", Max urged his former commanding officer.
["Fine fine. I needed to check on the containment cube for the Null Void Projector, it's completely gone."]
"What?! How?", Max exclaimed in a bit of surprise. "Have you checked the security footage?"
["Yeah. All footage from when we actually got security cameras to 1989 are all the same, then a couple more years of just still images."]
"The government officials involved had to take an amnestic along with any of the records, passwords and locations to bases were wiped once the Plumbers were off. That means someone who stole it was another Plumber, but who?", Max attempted to rationalize the thought of an ex plumber wanting to go back into that life of their own free will.
["I don't know, but I'm going to find out. I'll call you when I have a lead.", Oscar then promptly hung up.
Max let out a sigh before placing his phone back into his pocket. "Fantastic."
On the other hand, the trio had been collected the list of items. Excluding the cereal, which they just bought two boxes. "Dung beetles, vegetarian cheese, camel blood. The heck is grandpa gonna do with all this stuff?", Ben asked grossed out at the items, he caught a display of all the sumo slammer cards, including the elusive gold one.
"Eh they're not that bad, it's mostly a texture thing.", Alex stated. "Plus sometimes you'd probably wouldn't tell what you're eating unless Max tells ya."
"It's still... pretty gross.", Gwen shivered as she noticed Alex pull out a wallet which looked stitched together. "When did you get a wallet?"
"Forgot it at home so I just used TopGear to get it really quick.", Alex said before counting the money he had been saving up whenever he got money from yardwork. "Two hundred all together. Thank god for the suburbs."
"What're you planning?", Ben asked tilting his head.
Alex just shrugged. "I'm throwing you guys a bone and getting you stuff you can actually digest without a blindfold on. unless-"
"Do it. Please, I'll literally go on my hands and knees.", Ben stated as he looked around, Gwen just smacked him on the back of the head for that.
"Alright, I'll be back then, go find Max in the meantime.", Alex gave a thumbs up as he walked off and soon vanished into the massive store.
Of course the first thing he did was instead go to the electronics, gazing over the phones, tablets, and laptops until the other side of the wall exploded sending debris flying everywhere. Alex shielded himself behind one of the phone stands when he saw a giant rat, a giant frog, and a man riding the mutated frog.
Alex narrowed his eyes as the man jumped off the frog and started stealing some of the technology and fixing it up while mumbling to himself. Which was then met with the security guards running up.
"FREEZE!" They shouted holding out their weapons.
'Huh, very interesting way to break in.' Alex hid behind an aisle and quickly activated the watch. He scrolled through Sunburn's and Watchdog's silhouettes before stopping at the four armed humanoid he named Pummel, "Time I go monster hunting." He slammed his hand onto the faceplate and was quickly engulfed in an emerald light.
Instead of the towering perspective, he was met with the same map that Watchdog had provided whenever he's used. He let out a whine of pure annoyance.
"Sir back away from the uh... frog and put your hands in the air!", one of the security guards kept his taser trained on Animo.
"I think- what in the world-", Animo was cut off as the large beast of a canine rushed in and tackled the giant rat into a nearby shelf. Sinking his jaws in its neck as the rat began thrashing around
Animo quickly rushed behind his giant frog as the giant rat was bashing its head around to throw off the beast, it was successful for only a few seconds as Watchdog was immediately right back to sinking his powerful teeth through the meat of its tough muscles. The rat let out a roar of pain as the alien tried ripping its throat out.
Animo hissed as he tapped his giant frog. "Deal with them my pet!", the pale green mad scientist patted his mutated frog which then started croaking, attempting to attack the security guard as he adjusted his lab coat. "I have what I need anyways."
Gwen had heard the commotion and came running quickly hiding in one of the aisles. She glanced around to see the psychotic doctor in the pets aisle. He turned his knob and a blinding red light covered his hand and transferred toa small hamster turning it into a rampaging monster. She went wide eyed as she saw the mutant rat gurgling on its own blood as Anklebiter started hitting it with what looked like a hammer before being tossed away by the many tendril-like tails.
Her thought's were soon broken when she heard a faint growl and gazed about her to see the mutant hamster above her. She screamed loudly gaining Watchdog's attention as he was still trying to gouge the eye out of the giant rat.
"Get off her freak!", Ben exclaimed as he threw a can with as much force as his ten year old body could muster which collided with the mutated hamsters eye. The mutated creature reeled back in pain, snapping its head only for Ben to throw another can at it.
Wearing a helmet and on a scooter, he threw yet another can from the ground. "You mad? Then come and get me!", Ben sped off on the scooter as the mutated hamster roared and chased after him.
"It doesn't matter how long you try to stall, Doctor Animo will turn Washington DC to Washington BC!", Animo exclaimed as he touched a cockatoo, mutating it into a massive, monstrous bird-like creature that he flew away on.
"Are you alright Gwen?", Max, wielding a bat approached her and helped her into her feet. "Wait, where's Ben?"
Ben zipped by down the aisle with the giant hamster sprinting after him. He quickly dodged an advance that knocked over the shelves, quickly using the knocked over shelf as a ramp he led the creature into leaping up to chomp at him mid air, barely missing as it landed in between the isles only to be pinned down by another set of falling isles.
"HAH! Ya see that!", Ben exclaimed, his body trembling from both fear and adrenaline as his family caught up to him.
"Hey, where's Alex-", Max was quickly cut off by a roar as a giant, broken rat was tossed outside completely lifeless. "Oh."
Watchdog walked by the isles and sat down next to the Tennyson's with blood dripping from his fur, which felt disgusting to him. "Gruesome! Heck yeah!", Ben scratched the head of Watchdog which was quickly met with a growl. "Oh... sorry.", he backed away with a nervous grin.
"Go transform back somewhere else, we'll meet you outside.", Max said as the large ape-like dog nodded and trotted off at high speeds, using his powerful muscles to pull himself ontop of a roof.
"You guys saved the store!", an employee said with exasperated breaths, of course the store had some damage but noting that couldn't be salvaged. "I'll give you anything, anything you want!"
Ben, not willing to turn away from free things, was going to open his mouth before being picked up by Max and walked out with Gwen in tow. "Grandpa! I was gonna score that sumo slammer card!"
"Not right now Ben, we'll have to follow where that giant bird went.", Max said as he rushed to the RV still carrying Ben, Gwen barely keeping pace despite his old age. Shortly after the Rust Bucket drove down to the exit, picking up Alex and speeding off.
What could've been hours had passed by as the sun had set, the night sky looming over Washington. "So, what actually happened back there?"
"Mad scientist with a superiority complex came in with a giant rat and a giant frog.", Alex stated as if it was the most casual thing. "Said his name was Animo, I would've fuckin got this shit done immediately if this damn hunk of junk didn't wig out on me."
Gwen, who had been busy with her laptop looked up finally. "If it makes you feel better, it at least gave us a lead to look into."
"Exactly, and since you know what Anklebiter can really do, I trust that you'll figure out how to work around that.", Max stated as he glanced at Alex, who scoffed before looking at Ben who had been quiet. "Ben? What's wrong?"
"I saved-", Ben was cut off by a cough by Alex. "I helped saved an entire supermarket from being a giant hamsters chew toy and I get nothing! That's not fair."
"Being a hero isn't about other people knowing you did something good, it's about you knowing you did something good. Being a hero is its own reward.", Max glanced at Alex, signaling that this applies to him as well.
"Wait a fuckin-, did you steal that from the back of a Mega Mart greeting card?"
"Um... no."
Gwen let out a yawn as she had finally found an actual news article. "Found it, five years ago this Doctor Animo guy was a researcher in veterinary science. But it turns out he was doing these twisted genetic experiments where he mutated animals, when he didn't win a prize he freaked out, sound familiar Ben?"
Alex rolled his eyes at this. "Okay, Ben getting all pissy because he didn't get a card isn't the same as an old man actually trying to commit homicide.", he taps his chin before leaning on one of the front seats. "We got a name, a motive and now we need to know where that freak ran off to so I can break his legs."
"He could be anywhere in Washington DC.", Max said as something clicked in Ben's head.
"I know where he's going!", Ben exclaimed.
Night had firmly settled in by the time the Rust Bucket pulled into the Natural History Museum. "Are you sure he's in there, dweeb?", Gwen asked sarcastically.
Ben said nothing as he got off quickly and picked up a giant feather with a smug smirk on his face as he pointed at a moderately large hole. "Pretty sure."
"Good thinking Ben.", Max nodded as he popped his neck. "Let's go."
The Tennyson family and their tag along soon journeyed inside the closed Museum. They passed different exhibits until coming to the prehistoric exhibit, Animo standing at the mammoth exhibit as he was twisting a screw on his gauntlet back into place.
Animo let out an annoyed growl as he turned his head. "You are very persistent, I hate persistence."
"Womp womp, how about you cry about it with the Verities Award that you didn't get?", Alex mocked with a malicious grin. "It's over."
"Watch your tongue, you disgusting brat. See I've only needed a few components to push my work to phase two, the reanimation of dormant cells.", Animo stated as he slipped on the gauntlet over what looked to be a black cloth covering his arm.
Ben jabbed Alex in the arm lightly. "Does this guy come with subtitles?", Alex just shrugged.
"I spaced out when he started talking not gonna lie."
"Bringing back the life to what has been long since lifeless. Observed.", Animo smirked as he turned rhetorically dial on his transmodulator before touching the mammoth. A bright flash of light erupted from the giant display of a mammoth.
Bones snapped and crackled as the mammoth ripped itself away from its display, glowing red eyes shining through the barely illuminated museum. "Build the genius that is Doctor Animo!", Animo exclaimed before running off.
"Well no shit.", Alex nodded before activating the Omnitrix. "You deal with the old man, I'll handle the big guy.", slamming down on the Omnitrix, a bright green flash briefly illuminated the area as a new alien took his place.
Alex now stood as a tall, humanoid creature with a body comprised of pale blue crystals, he had a pair of massive arms with two massive crystal spikes jutting out of his fore arms, with a total of six crystals on his back. He wore a black and white uniform with the Omnitrix nodule located on the right pectoral. "Let's dance!", Deepcut grinned and charged at the mammoth, hitting it with a flying drop kick.
Max, Ben and Gwen soon raced after Animo while Deepcut jumped up and landed a people's elbow on the revived mammoth. Before they could advance further the large white cockatoo screeched at them. Gwen looked around and saw a caveman holding a spear. She twirled it around before slamming it onto the birds head watching it ran away in fright. Max and Ben both gazed in genuine awe.
"There, now we're even dweeb." She responded as the two journeyed to the last room in the exhibit that housed a Tyrannosaurs Rex.
"Oh it's you. I'm sorry, but you're too late. After I kill Kelly, obtain my reward, I'll rule the world!" He replied. He soon turned towards the dinosaur's bones and smirked, "It's all over!"
He soon activated his transmodulator and reanimated the T-Rex. The T-Rex's eyes glowed red as its flesh wrapped around its bones like worms, merging together as it stomped forward. It roared loudly as Animo laughed evilly before hopping onto its back, "Next stop, a dead Kelly!" The dinosaur bursted through the wall and off into the distance.
Back within the museum, Deepcut was sent hurdling towards a wall. He let out a groan as he pulled himself out, the mammoth charged forward as he turned his arm into a blunt stump before charging in and slamming it against its face before leaping up and roundhouse kicking one of its tusks off.
The Mammoth roared in pain as it whipped its trunk back and knocked the man of Crystal back who quickly steadied himself. "C'mon I barely felt that!", Deepcut taunted as he began to sharpen his left hand, lifting up his right to aim himself properly as the mammoth roared once again and charged at him. The moment it came within arms reach, Deepcut threw his left arm forward, a crystalline lance erupting out of his arm and through the mammoths body.
"Fuckin finally.", Alex sighed as he pulled his arm out of it and quickly shook the black blood of it before shrinking it back down to his hand. "Better."
Max, Ben and Gwen gazed at the retreating dinosaur's backside before the cockatoo came flying down grabbing hold of Gwen. Gwen went screaming in panic as Max went wide eyed at this he quickly turned towards the entrance to the dinosaur's exhibit and yelled at the top of his lungs, "Dammit, Alex!"
"I got it!", Deepcut came rushing through the entrance and out the makeshift exit. With each step he grew a crystal stump from the ground before jumping up and being propelled into the air by a giant pillar. "Hold on!", Gwen braced herself for impact as he had curled up into a ball with the intention of bursting through the bird.
Unfortunately, the bird wasn't as stupid as he had hoped and simply moved out of the way, Deepcut crash landing into the asphalt like a meteor. Gwen just sighed. "I should've went to summer school."
A red flash erupted from the large crater as Alex crawled out, rubbing the back of his neck. "That didn't go well."
The Rust Bucket quickly pulled up with Ben opening the door. "You called for a taxi?", Alex rolled his eyes before crawling into the Rust Bucket before it sped off at incredible speeds. "We need to find Gwen, then we get to Animo... where ever he is."
"I got you.", Ben handed Alex a paper that Max had handed him earlier.
Alex looked at the torn piece of a news paper. "Kelly Robert Hall accepts Vareities Award. Well we got that at least, now where's Gwen?"
"Can't be too hard to find an elephant sized parrot right?", Max grits his teeth, a pit of dread forming in the bowels of his stomach. That was when Gwen's name appeared on a small device in the dashboard, Alex quickly accepted the call. "Gwen-"
["Im at the top of the Washington Monument! Please get here quickly! I can't hold on much longer!"]
Luckily, the Rust Bucket wasn't that far away from the monument, taking a sharp left turn Max pressed on the gas even more. Skidding to a halt as they were now in front of the Washington monument, a Nokia flip phone crashing and breaking upon impacting the ground.
"Awh that is a fake ass Nokia.", Alex commented before opening the passenger window and vaulting himself out. The Omnitrix flash green and within a moment, he was covered in a bright flash of light, Bugbreath hissed before leaping off the ground and flying up.
Gwen shivered in place as she finally lost her grip due to her sweaty hands, she plummeted to the ground below before being swiftly caught by Bugbreath. "Thanks for the save!", she let out an exhausted sigh before feeling the need to throw up just from the foul stench, thankfully fresh air brushed past her nose the moment he flew back up at high speeds.
The mutated parrot screeched before rushing at him once again, only to be met by the insectoid throwing Gwen in the air and punching the creature away. Quickly catching Gwen he flapped his wings and began flying to the small opening where Max and Ben waved. "Wanna see me do something awesome?"
"Does it involve me safely going to the ground?"
"Hah, fuck no."
Max held his arms out as Bugbreath dropped down, within a few seconds he had let go of Gwen as Max quickly grabbed her. Ben pulling on Max's shirt as he had leaned out the window to actually catch him. Flying back up, Bugbreath let out a hiss as he jabbed his stinger into its neck, injecting it with a certain type of poison that wasn't deadly but quickly stunned it. Sending the giant mutated parrot plummeting.
"Go stop Animo, we'll be alright!", Ben exclaimed as Gwen was stopping herself from regurgitating her food from earlier. The putrid insect nodded before flying off.
Within another part of Washington, an elderly yet rotund man with bright blue eyes gestured to a golden award resembling a beaker. "This is my Vareties Award, honestly, I was surprised I was actually nominated among so many talented scientist in the venue.", Kelly said with a nervous smile as the sounds of thumping became louder and louder before the resurrected T-Rex charged through and let out a monstrous roar.
"Animo?" Kelly muttered as the mad scientist laughed loudly.
"Kelly, I believe you have something of mine!", Animo hissed as the T-Rex growled and picked the award from his hands before throwing its head back. Animo quickly grabbing it with a smug expression. "Now for the best part."
That was when a sharp rock grazed Animo's Adam's apple, he quickly turned to see the culprit. "What kind of pest are you?!"
"Your personal chauffeur to the underworld.", Bugbreath grinned as he zipped towards the T-Rex, quickly rolling past the blasts from the horns located on the top of his helmet. The insect quickly stopped himself and braced for impact as the tail of the dinosaur came swinging at him..
The impact against the wall was enough to cave it in, but thankfully his exoskeleton was tough enough to allow him to push through it. Flying into the air and charging at Animo
"Get away from me!", Animo attempted to attack again only for Bugbreath to quickly swerve away from a bite, using his thick sludge coming from his mouth the pull away the device off his head. "MY TRANSMODULATOR!!!!"
With a sly smirk, Bugbreath decided to do something even more disturbing, opening his mouth to inhuman lengths, he unleashed a torrent of stomach acid onto the device before dropping it. "Womp womp loser!", once the Transmodulator was shattered, a red energy wave erupted. The dinosaur Animo rode on quickly trembled before its flesh and organs burned away, Animo letting out an angered yell as the dinosaur crumbled away, its bones flesh from the heat as Animo was smothered in the amount of bone there was
"And that's that."
"Let me go!", Animo exclaimed like a feral animal as blood leaked from his nose, handcuffs were on him as a female police officer shoved him along. "I deserved that reward! I had it coming to me!", he exclaimed as he was pushed into the Police Vehicle.
"Y'know... I can kind of see it.", Ben nodded before entering the Rust Bucket with the remnants of the Transmodulator in his hands that he slowly placed into a box. He sat down as the rust bucket sped off to its next location.
"Gotta say... I don't think I'm a bird person.", Gwen said as Alex lightly patted her head. "Thanks by the way... well, minus the throwing me like a rag doll... you jerk."
"You're welcome, expect me to ask a favor of you in a couple of days.", Alex gave a thumbs up as he looked at Ben. "Gotta say man, you did great today.
"Really?", Ben sat up before flexing his scrawny arms. "Thanks, it's what us heroes do."
"You're right.", Alex said before taking out the gold sumo slammers from his pocket and slid it to Ben, who gasped excitedly. "Thought you deserved at least something."
Ben looked at him with a smile. "You're awesome!"
"I know I am."
/End/
