Ulrich362: Nyx managed to barely pull off a victory against one of the Knights of Hanoi. Though to be fair looking back I might have misplayed her cards a bit, hopefully that won't happen in the future.
bopdog111: And now we're onto her brother Playmaker. And it isn't his Deck that's changed.
Ulrich362: True, let's see how he does against the Hanoi. Enjoy the chapter.

"Hope you two know how to Speed Duel Playmaker!" the AI with Playmaker called as he, and Knight rode onto the Data Storm.
"So this is Speed Dueling..." Playmaker trailed off.
"You ever Speed Duel before?"
"No but a quick montage wouldn't hurt but keep it short."
"Gotcha, in Speed Dueling you have only three of each zone, and there is no Main Phase 2 so make sure your ready before ending your turn, and you can only start with four cards in your hand."
Playmaker nodded at that. They noticed his Knight approaching before calling.
"SPEED DUEL!"

Hack Worm: (Attack Position)
"Two monsters that are Special Summoned... Your planning to summon a high leveled monster." Playmaker said seeing that already knowing what the Knight is up too.
The Knight of Hanoi only smirked. "I sacrifice both my Hack Worms in order to summon out my Cracking Dragon in attack mode."
The same dragon rose up roaring loud.

"I end with one facedown card."

Playmaker 1st Turn:
'Already a monster with over 3000 points... Which means this draw counts...' Playmaker thought reaching to his Deck before drawing, "I draw! Since there are no monsters, on my field, I can summon Linkslayer from my hand!"
A brown cybernetic warrior with a wolf like mask rose up.

"I play Cracking Dragon's ability, Crack Fall!" the Knight of Hanoi called. "Your monster loses 200 attack points times it's level, and you take that same amount as damage!" Powerful winds struck Linkslayer and Playmaker.
Playmaker was thrown back. (Playmaker: 3000)
Linkslayer: (ATK: 2000 - (200 * 5) = 1000)
"Ah glitch that's gonna be annoying." the AI groaned.
"Be quiet." Playmaker told him before saying, "I activate Linkslayer's ability! I discard one card from my hand to destroy your set card!" After discarding it Linkslayer charged a blast firing it at the Hanoi's set card.
The card shattered as the Knight of Hanoi frowned.
"Then next up I'll summon Cyberse Gadget!" Playmaker called as a small droid rose up rising with a visor raising up.

"Cracking Dragon's ability, Crack Fall!" the Knight of Hanoi called again.
Cracking Dragon fired more winds that struck the two. (Playmaker: 2200)
Cyberse Gadget: (ATK: 1400 - (200 * 4) = 600)
"Gadget's special ability allows me to summon a Level 2 or lower monster from the graveyard so I'll out from my graveyard, Micro Coder!"

You can only use each effect of "Micro Coder" once per turn.
"You really are stupid, Crack Fall!" the Knight of Hanoi declared.
Cracking Dragon fired more winds which hits Micro Coder, and Playmaker together.
(Playmaker: 2000)
Micro Coder: (ATK: 300 - 200 = 100)
Playmaker then grinned, "Now I can get started here. Appear the circuit that leads to the future!" A blue box with 8 arrows on it in all directions appeared from above.
"A Link Summon?" the Knight of Hanoi asked in shock.
"Arrowheads confirmed! The summoning conditions are two Effect monsters! I set Linkslayer, and Cyberse Gadget in the Link Arrows!" Playmaker called as the two entered the bottom, and top arrows making them red, "I Link Summon! Link 2, Code Talker!"
A blue like cybernetic warrior rose up holding a sword.

"Link Monsters don't have levels so Cracking Dragon's effect won't work on Code Talker!" Playmaker declared to the Knight.
"That won't help you, that monster is far too weak to be a threat to my Cracking Dragon." the Knight of Hanoi told him.
"Maybe but Cyberse Gadget's ability will assist it!" Playmaker called as he called, "Since it was sent to my graveyard, I can summon a Gadget Token!"

The Gadget Token, and Micro Coder entered the left, and right arrows.

The Knight of Hanoi frowned seeing that.
"As Micro Coder was sent to the graveyard to Link Summon a Code Talker, I can add a Level 4 Cyberse to my hand." Playmaker explained adding a card, "And as Code Talker Inverted was Link Summoned, it's ability allows me to summon a Cyberse from my hand so that it's linked, and look here, I got one! A small orb like machine rose up.

"You never learn do you, Crack Fall!" the Knight of Hanoi declared as cracking Dragon fired more winds at Playmaker and Defect Compiler.
Playmaker grinned calling, "Not this time! I activate Defect Compiler's ability!" He pointed to the small drone who build a barrier from the winds, "The first time, I take damage from one of your cards, that damage becomes zero, and I place a Defect Counter on Defect Compiler!"
Defect Compiler: (Defect Counter: 1/1)
"Not bad." mentioned a female voice. "You managed to keep your points safe."
Hearing that the two looked over hearing that. It was Blue Angel on a nearby rooftop watching the duel before jumping on a Duel Board to observe.
"Blue Angel..." Playmaker trailed off seeing her before calling, "As Code Talker is linked to a monster it gains 500 points! Power Integration!"
Code Talker: (ATK: 1300 + 500 = 1800)
"And now appear the third time, circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker called as the circuit appeared, "The summoning conditions are at least 2 effect monsters!"
Inverted, and Code Talker both flew up entering the top, right, and bottom arrows.
"Now what?" the Knight of Hanoi questioned.
"Link Summon! Link 3, Transcode Talker!" Playmaker called as a huge brown cybernetic warrior holding a multiple piece rifle rose up.

You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this effect, except Cyberse monsters. You can only use this effect of "Transcode Talker" once per turn.
"That monster is too weak." the Knight of Hanoi told Playmaker.
"Don't be too sure soon." Playmaker told him before calling, "I activate Defect Compiler's ability! By removing it's Defect Counter, I give Transcode 800 points!"
Defect Compiler: (Defect Counter: 0/1)
Transcode Talker: (ATK: 2300 + 800 = 3100)
Transcode glows from the counter powering it up.
"And now Transcode's ability allows me to summon Code Talker Inverted so that's it's linked!" Playmaker called as Inverted rose up.
Code Talker Inverted: (Attack Position)
"But it won't stay long, and here's why! Appear for a forth time, circuit that leads to the future!" Playmaker declared as the circuit appeared for the forth time on his turn.
"Four Link Summons in one turn?" the Knight of Hanoi asked in shock.
'Whoa, that's impressive.' Blue Angel thought seeing that.
"The summoning conditions are at least 2 Cyberse!" Playmaker called as Code Talker Inverted, and Defect Compiler entered the top, left, and right arrows, "I Link Summon! Link 3, Excode Talker!"
A green paladin cybernetic warrior rose up with green blades on his arms.

When this card is Link Summoned: You can choose unused Main Monster Zones equal to the number of monsters currently in the Extra Monster Zones; those zones cannot be used while this monster is face-up on the field. You can only use this effect of "Excode Talker" once per turn. Monsters this card points to gain 500 ATK, also they cannot be destroyed by card effects.
"You're not bad." the AI mentioned.
"If you think that's good wait till you see this. Before hand I use Excode's ability! Grasp Zone!" Playmaker called as an orb build on Excode's hand, "For every monster in the Extra Monster Zone you can't use a Main Monster Zone while this card's on the field! Grasp Zone!"
Excode fired the orb to the zone that Transcode points at rendering it darkened.
"Then Transcode's ability activates which allows it, and a monster it's Co-Linked with to gain 500 points, and can't be targeted by your cards!" The two Code Talkers glowed.
Transcode Talker: (ATK: 3100 + 500 = 3600/Can't be targeted to card effects/Co-Linked with Excode Talker)
Excode Talker: (ATK: 2300 + 500 = 2800/Can't be targeted to card effects/Co-Linked with Transcode Talker)
"And that's not all Excode has it's own ability!" Playmaker added as Excode glowed bright, "All monsters it's Linked too gains 500 points, and can't be destroyed by your cards!"
Transcode Talker: (ATK: 3600 + 500 = 4100/Cannot be destroyed by card effects)
"4100 attack points!" the Knight of Hanoi cried in disbelief.
"I set 1 card!" Playmaker placed down a card, "Battle! Transcode Talker attacks Cracking Dragon, Transfruit!"
Transcode Talker connected it's rifle together aiming at Cracking Dragon firing the blast. The attack hit destroyed Cracking Dragon.
(KoH: 2900)
"And now Excode Talker attack the Knight of Hanoi directly! Excode Close!"
Excode Talker readied it's blades charging at the Knight slashing him with the blades.
The Knight of Hanoi winced from the attack.
(KoH: 0100)
"Close, but you failed to beat me." the Knight of Hanoi taunted.
"Maybe but you lost Cracking Dragon." Playmaker said to him, "At this time Defect Compiler's effect ends, and Transcode loses 800 points."
Transcode Talker: (ATK: 4100 - 800 = 3300)
"I end my turn." Playmaker ended his turn.
Playmaker's Hand: 1/Field: Transcode Talker: (Attack Position/In Extra Monster Zone/Can't be targeted to card effects/Co-Linked with Excode Talker/Cannot be destroyed by card effects/ATK: 3300), Excode Talker (Attack Position/Can't be targeted to card effects/Co-Linked with Transcode Talker/ATK: 2800), One Set Card

KoH 2nd Turn:
"I activate my Skill Double Draw!" the Knight of Hanoi called.
Double Draw
Knight of Hanoi's Skill
The user draws 2 cards for their normal draw during their Draw Phase.
The Knight of Hanoi drew his cards before smirking. "Just what I wanted to see."
"Skill?" Playmaker asked hearing that.
"You told me to keep the montage of Speed Duels short so I left that out." the AI explained.
"Pay more attention to what you said."
"I am! Skills are special abilities a Duelist can use once every duel, you can raise points, increase Life Points, destroy cards, that are many different types, though that Double Draw is what I never heard of."
"And based on his expression what he's got planned can't be good..." Playmaker trailed off.
"I activate Monster Reborn to bring Cracking Dragon back from my graveyard." the Knight of Hanoi smirked.
Monster Reborn
Normal Spell Card
Target 1 monster in either GY; Special Summon it.
Cracking Dragon appeared roaring.
Cracking Dragon: (Attack Position)
"Then, I'll equip him with the Air Cracking Storm card."
Air Cracking Storm
Equip Spell Card
Equip only to a Machine monster. When that attacking monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle: You can activate this effect; it can make a second attack during this Battle Phase. Your other monsters cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.
Cracking Dragon: (Eqiupped with Air Cracking Storm)
"Now, attack his Excode Talker!"
"Traffic Blast!"
Cracking Dragon charged a blue cybernetic blast as it struck Excode Talker destroying it without mercy. (Playmaker: 1800)
"Since Transcode Talker is no longer linked to Excode Talker the points Excode gives it wears off." Playmaker said as Transcode powered down.
Transcode Talker: (ATK: 3300 - 500 = 2800)
"And as it is no longer co-linked, it's ability vanishes so it loses more points."
Transcode Talker: (ATK: 2800 - 500 = 2300)
"I play the effect of Air Cracking Storm, it lets Cracking Dragon attack again. Destroy Transcode Talker, Traffic Blast!" the Knight of Hanoi called.
Cracking Dragon fired a big blast that struck Transcode triggering a big explosion as Playmaker stumbled back. (Playmaker: 1100)
"I end my turn." the Knight of Hanoi stated with a smirk. "Next turn, this duel will be over."
KoH's Hand: 0/Field: Cracking Dragon (Equipped with Air Cracking Storm), Air Cracking Storm (Equipped to Cracking Dragon)
Playmaker only smirked, "Are you sure? You should take a closer look at my field."
"What?" the Knight of Hanoi questioned looking at his field.
The smoke faded showing Transcode Talker survived Cracking Dragon's attack.
"Impossible!" the Knight of Hanoi cried seeing that.
"Wait, but how did your monster survive the attack?" Blue Angel asked only for her eyes to widen. "Unless you played a trap card!"
"Indeed he's not the only one who has a card that can equip to a monster." Playmaker said gesturing a card as it materialized on his field.
Parallel Port Armor
Normal Trap Card
Target 1 Link Monster you control; equip it with this card. Your opponent cannot target the equipped monster with card effects, also it cannot be destroyed by battle. You can banish this card and 2 Link Monsters from your GY, then target 1 Link Monster you control; it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn.
"Parallel Port Armor equips onto a Link Monster on my field. Not can only Transcode Talker not be targeted by his effects while equipped it also protects it from battle destruction." Playmaker explained his traps effect.
Transcode Talker: (Equipped with Parallel Port Armor/Cannot be targeted to card effects/Cannot be destroyed by battle)
The AI blinked, "Huh? If you had that, then why didn't you use it on Excode Talker so you would avoid more damage!?"
"You'll find out why this turn." Playmaker answered simply.
The Knight of Hanoi frowned seeing that. "It doesn't matter, your monster is too weak to help you beat me."
Playmaker 2nd Turn:
"Well let me tell you... If I wanted too I would've done a OTK." Playmaker grinned to him.
"You're bluffing." the Knight of Hanoi frowned.
"I have a Link Monster that can be summoned easily, and it can destroy Cracking Dragon, and attack you for the win with it's ability to have more attack points then your Life Points." Playmaker confirmed, "Link 4, Accesscode Talker."
The Knight of Hanoi's eyes widened in shock hearing that.
"Link 4?" Blue Angel asked in shock. 'Just who is he?'
"I chose not to use it cause I want to experiment what I can do in a Speed Duel... I learned a lot, and that's the only thing I can be grateful to you about." Playmaker told him, "But it's time to end this starting with Transcode's ability! Revive Excode Talker!"
Excode Talker rose up.
Excode Talker: (Attack Position)

Secure Gardna blocked the winds.
Balancer Lord: (ATK: 1700 - (200 * 4) = 900)
"You really are skilled." the AI mentioned.
"Well I'm not done! I activate Balancer Lord's ability! I pay 1000 points to Normal Summon another Cyberse this turn!"
(Playmaker: 0100)
The Knight of Hanoi frowned hearing that.
Playmaker then turned to the AI, "I trust in my instincts, and it will lead to you."
The AI blinked before widening it's eye, "Oh yeah, it does! Now I see, alright I'll ready it up!" At that a big Data Tornado emerged out of nowhere.
"What the?" the Knight of Hanoi asked in shock.
Playmaker grinned before flying jumping into it with a war cry entering the Tornado.
"What's he doing?" Blue Angel questioned. "Is he trying to get himself killed?"
Playmaker in the storm grunted as the AI said, "I knew there was something fishy, you had made way for a Speed Duel Skill cause of your instincts, and your right! Your skill Neo Storm Access while your points are 1000 or lower allows you to add a Cyberse from the Data Storm, and add it to your Extra Deck! And the stronger the Data Storm is the stronger that monster is!"
Hearing that Playmaker reached a hand forward, "I activate my Skill! When I have 1000 or lower Life Points, I take 1 Cyberse from the Data Storm, and place that card in my Extra Deck! Neo Storm Access!"
Neo Storm Access
Playmaker's Skill
If the user has 1000 or less LP, the user randomly obtains a Cyberse monster from a nearby Data Storm and adds it to their Extra Deck.
A light glowed as the AI called, "Seize the wind Playmaker!"
A silhouette of a dragon materialized in the storm roaring flying in Playmaker's hand as he grinned raising the card up before shooting out of the storm jumping on his Duel Board with the card in his hand. The Knight of Hanoi looked shocked hearing that. Playmaker looked at the card as smirked, "Couldn't have picked a better card... First up appear circuit that leads to the future!"

"Your new monster only has 2500 attack points." the Knight of Hanoi pointed out.
"And due to Crack Fall their lowered by 1400!" the AI called.
Clock Dragon: (ATK: 2500 - (200 * 7) = 1100)
"That doesn't make a difference..." Playmaker trailed off with a grin.
"It has an ability to increase its attack points." Blue Angel realized.
"Yes, and in a way you wouldn't believe... When Fusion Summoned, Clock Dragon sends the top cards of my deck to the graveyard equal to the Link Rating of the Link Monsters I fused together. Then it gets 1000 points stronger for each card sent!" He sent his top four cards, "Go Cyberse Clock-Up!"
Clock Dragon let out a mighty roar.
Cyberse Clock Dragon: (ATK: 1100 + (1000 * 4) = 5100)
"5100!" the Knight of Hanoi cried in horror.
"Battle! Clock Dragon attacks Cracking Dragon! Pulse Pressure!"

"Cracking Dragon can't be destroyed by a monster with an equal or lower level!" the Knight of Hanoi cried in a vain attempt to survive.

Clock Dragon let out a gentle growl vanishing.
"Hey, do you have a minute?" Blue Angel asked racing next to Playmaker.
Playmaker turned to her, "Sorry Blue Angel, but I have to find Nyx."
"I knew it, you two are related somehow." Blue Angel noted. "You two are the only duelists who use Fusion Summoning."
"She's my younger sister if your wondering." Playmaker stated before flying off to find Nyx.
He almost immediately got a message on his Duel Disk.
"She's with us, she logged out after her duel."
"Then she's safe. That's my cue to go." Playmaker said reading that.
With that he logged out of Link VRAINS.
In the Real World...
Yusaku appeared sighing.
"Are you alright?" asked a girl roughly one year younger than him.
"Yeah, Lilly... I had experimented Speed Dueling, and that gave me a lot to learn." Yusaku answered before showing her Cyberse Clock Dragon's card to her.
She smiled seeing it before frowning. "I should have lost, I messed up badly in my duel."
"What happened?" he asked her.
"She nearly lost all her life points because of Cracking Dragon, and that AI with her had to give her a Skill to keep her from losing the duel completely." Cal answered.
Lilly frowned. "What's the point, I thought I knew what I was doing but one of them completely outplayed me. Maybe I should just quit dueling altogether, at least that way you won't have to worry about anything happening if the Hanoi show up again."
Hearing that Yusaku looked at her before saying, "I also used a Skill lend to me by the AI."
"Huh?" she asked hearing that. "What do you mean?"
"I had a feeling he had a secret weapon so I let the Hanoi lower my points to where I can use the AI's Skill." Yusaku explained before telling Lilly about his duel.
Lilly nodded hearing that before closing her eyes before looking at her Duel Disk. "Are you still here?"
The AI on her Duel Disk looked like she was resting before opening her eye.
"I just wanted to say thank you for what you did, I was trying to protect you... but you saved me and Blue Angel twice instead." Lilly admitted.
"It's no trouble." the AI said to her.
"Speaking of which, why were the Knights of Hanoi and SOL Technologies after the two of you?" Yuri inquired.
"We can't talk where they'll listen." the female AI stated to him before the male AI can answer, "Is there a place we can talk alone?"
"Actually there is, and there are people who definitely will want to hear it." Celina answered. "Our friend Zuzu's school in Paradise City."
"Cal can you start the truck?" Yusaku asked him.
Cal grinned nodding, "No prob. I want to check on Jin before hand."
"That makes sense." Yuri nodded.
Soon they arrived at a hospital room where they see a young man having short purple hair staring blank into space wearing a hospital gown. Seeing him the Fujiki's all frowned.
"What's up with him?" the male AI asked seeing him.
"It's a long story." Yusaku answered only to frown. "One that's far from over."
Lilly walked placing a hand on his shoulder, "Jin? Can you hear me babe?"
Jin didn't respond still blanking out. She frowned at that. "It'll be ok, I promise things will work out."
Lilly gently kissed his cheek before walking back to the others only for her eyes to widen. "Stupid.""He'll be glad to know he has you." Cal smiled gently to her.
She nodded but was frowning slightly. "I completely screwed up, I had my Field Spell but didn't think to use it. Curse of the Shadow Prison was in my opening hand."
"You did used your Field Spell, Magical Meltdown." the female AI told her.
"That's not what I mean." Lilly told her. "Curse of the Shadow Prison is a Field Spell for my Shaddoll cards, the ones that make up the majority of my deck. Every time a Shaddoll Monster is sent to the graveyard because of an effect including a Fusion Summon it gets a counter and for each counter my opponent's monsters lose 100 attack points during their turn, but the other effect is that when it has at least three counters I can remove them to use my opponent's monster to Fusion Summon. I could have used Cracking Dragon as material to summon a Fusion Monster."
"Huh that's powerful." the AI in Yusaku's Duel Disk admitted.
"Next time... I'll win on my own." Lilly said looking at her cards.
Yusaku patted her back, "I know you can."
"Come on, the others are waiting and something tells me these two have a lot to tell us." Celina mentioned calmly.
Ulrich362: Yusaku pulled off an impressive victory wouldn't you say Bopdog?
bopdog111: Yeah he did.
Ulrich362: Now they're heading back to Paradise City for what will likely be a very interesting story from two AI. Oh, and for the curious... this is not a repeat of what happened to Zuzu in the original. Lilly will not suddenly decide to quit so don't worry about that.
bopdog111: Last thing we want is for something like that to happen all over again.
Ulrich362: Exactly, well see you in the next chapter.
bopdog111: Be sure to review!
