bopdog111: Playmaker, and Nyx prevailed over Varis, and Rosaly despite their advantage with Pseudo Space.
Ulrich362: True, but their victory led to a startling revelation... it wasn't the Hanoi, but SOL Technologies behind the Lost Incident.
bopdog111: So now what are they gonna do?
Ulrich362: That's the question, and there's only one way to find out. Enjoy the chapter.
Disclaimer: We don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, or VRAINS but we own the OCs!
Playmaker's group exited Link VRAINS with the exception of Ghost Gal joining them as they all sighed.
"Are you guys alright?" Cal asked them as Lilly shuddered before hugging Celina.
Celina hugged her back as Yusaku said, "No... We been after the wrong people. It wasn't the Knights of Hanoi that done the Lost Incident."
"Assuming that wasn't a lie." Yuri pointed out only to frown. "We don't have any reason to trust what Varis told you two."
Lilly noticed the female Ignis was glowing as data surged through her.
"Are you ok?" she asked seeing that.
"Yeah. Ai is sending me data for my body." the female Ignis answered as Yusaku, and Lilly placed their Duel Disks down as they glowed bright.
Everyone shielded their eyes at that. Soon the light faded allowing to see the two Ignis in their bodies.
Ai's is black with purple lines, and yellow eyes while the female Ignis is light blue with dark blue lines, and even lighter glowing eyes.
"That's... surprising." Skye admitted. "So this is what you two actually look like?"
"Oh yeah. Ai, and his comrade 2.0." Ai grinned moving around before posing, "So what you all think?"
Yusaku, and Cal stared before they turned to each other talking to each other clearly not impressed making Ai slump while the female Ignis shrugged with raised arms shaking her head. Yuri however frowned and turned to the female Ignis. "You mentioned being able to tell the difference between lies and the truth right?"
"Huh? Oh yes, I do." the female Ignis answered.
"What about something that's a lie and the truth at the same time?" Yuri asked her.
"Well... I detect it's true, and untrue at the same time. Sometimes it fools me." the female Ignis admitted.
"I get it, you should have been able to tell if Varis was telling the truth about SOL Technologies." Celina realized. "If it was true, we need to find a way into SOL Tech."
Skye had an idea, "I know how too."
"Well first we need to make sure they are involved." Yuri pointed out. "Was Varis lying about SOL Technologies being involved while the Hanoi weren't?"
The female Ignis only nodded, "Well yes they are. SOL is involved in the incident."
Lilly looked down hearing that.
"Alright, then how do we get into SOL Technologies without being discovered?" Yusaku asked Skye.
"Your parents encountered her earlier." Skye answered.
"That woman from before?" Celina asked hearing that. "I honestly doubt she could help us with that."
"Ghost Gal may not look it but she's loyal." Skye told her, "I trust her."
"If you trust her, then we will too." Yusaku mentioned. "The only question is, how do we get in touch with her."
Skye only smiled, "We're both friends in Link VRAINS, and we sometimes get in touch with each other outside. I'll ask her to meet with us in Link VRAINS."
"Skye wait a second." Lilly said suddenly before looking down uncertainly. "Do you mind if I meet her with you?"
Skye blinked before smiling, "Oh sure Lilly. We can meet her together."
After messaging for a few minutes Skye smiled to Lilly, "She's waiting for us."
Lilly nodded at that. "Thanks."
"Wait a second before following me." Skye told her so they can avoid SOL's attention.
Lilly nodded at that. "Right."
Skye sat down against the wall of the truck before readying her Duel Disk, "Into the VRAINS!"
Her consciousness was transferred to Link VRAINS. After a minute Cal gave Lilly the okay to join her. She took a slow breath before turning to her family and nodding. "Into the VRAINS!"
Her consciousness was transferred with the female Ignis entering as Nyx as Blue Angel who was riding alone turned over, "Nyx? What brings you here?"
"Just trying to clear my head." she answered.
Blue Angel nodded before asking, "Would you like to join me? I am going to see an old friend."
"Sure." Nyx nodded before pausing. "Hey, can I ask you something on the way?"
"Yeah?" Blue Angel asked as they went off.
Nyx paused at that before just shaking her head. "Never mind, it's nothing important."
"Well just know you can tell me anything Nyx." Blue Angel smiled.
Hearing that Nyx closed her eyes. "I'm guessing Gore told you... about how I bumped into that hacker Playmaker when he dueled against that Knight of Hanoi who played a vampire deck? The truth is... it wasn't just me letting the number one Charisma Duelist try to beat Playmaker... I was paralyzed in fear."
Blue Angel looked at her, "You have a problem against Zombies?"
"Vampires specifically." Nyx admitted. "I just sort of freeze up, I won't bore you but the only time I can stay calm is when there's someone I trust a lot nearby... like you and Gore for example. There's a good reason I'm still only number three, you two inspire me a lot."
She then smiled warmly.
"Though... just between us I look up to you a bit more."
Blue Angel smiled back before noticing, "Oh there she is."
Nyx blinked looking ahead. Ghost Gal was there waiting before noticing the two smiling at them.
"Nice to see you again Blue Gal." Ghost Gal grinned to her.
Blue Angel rolled her eyes, "I told you not to call me that Ghost Gal."
"Well, I was surprised that you wanted to meet me here." Ghost Gal said before turning to Nyx, "And you must be Nyx. I seen your duel with Playmaker against those two Hanoi."
Nyx froze at that. "You... huh?"
"I had set up a camera so Playmaker's group can watch." Ghost Gal explained to them, "I met up with both two people who seem to know you, and Playmaker with one of their names being Venom."
"Then... that means you know." Nyx whispered before shaking her head. "I've... met Venom once before."
"Well let's skip the irrelevant parts, and get to business shall we?" Ghost Gal asked before asking Blue Angel, "So why exactly do you want us to talk together?"
Blue Angel take a breath before asking, "Can you give us your key to SOL's Data Bank?"
"Hm?" Ghost Gal raised an eyebrow at this, "That's a pretty straightforward thing to ask for. For what purpose if I can ask?"
"Sorry, but you can't." Nyx answered.
Ghost Gal only stared at the two before she later said, "Well you know that SOL gave me the key cause I am an important figure to them. I would have no problems giving you the key but nah where's the fun in that? You two will have to earn the key." As she said that she raised her arm where a blue card made of data appeared floating above her finger rotating, "So with my key as a stake you both will have to earn the key from me."
"A duel?" Nyx asked seeing that.
"Of course." Ghost Gal nodded at this, "So which out of you two will like to try earning it?"
Nyx turned to Blue Angel at that. "You're the one who knows her, so maybe you should be the one to duel?"
"Wait Nyx." Surprised they looked to her Duel Disk where the female Ignis rose up saying, "Let me take this one."
Nyx's eyes widened. "You can duel?"
"I tried giving my Deck to you before." the female Ignis told her before saying, "I couldn't before cause I lost my body but now, I can duel again which means I can have some exercise for the road ahead."
Nyx blinked before nodding. "Alright."
"Ah so an Ignis will duel. You know this means you'll be handed to SOL when you lose right?" Ghost Gal asked the female Ignis before she shook his head, "Ah, I'm just messing but you sure about this?"
"Yes, I am." the female Ignis nodded exiting Nyx's Duel Disk before meditating as some data flew up forming into a woman that has a pure water dress on with some sparkles on it as she settled onto it's arm.
Nyx and Blue Angel stepped back for them.
"Since you challenged us, I'll decide who goes first?" the female Ignis inquired.
"Of course." Ghost Gal winked to her.

Seeing that the female Ignis frowned. "I play a trap, Marincess Wave."

"Oh much more." Ghost Gal grinned setting a card, "For now I'll use Marionetter's second effect. By sending Emulatelf to the graveyard, I can revive an Altergeist from the graveyard."

"Are you alright?" Nyx asked walking over to her.
"Yeah... I didn't expect her to pull that off." Ghost Gal admitted.
"Well, I won the duel so I guess that means we get your key to SOL Technologies?" the female Ignis asked.
Ghost Gal nodded standing up, "You all earned it fair, and square."
Blue Angel nodded walking over to take it, unknown to them however...
At SOL Technologies...
"Someone report this to the CEO!" cried an employee.
"King, are you insane? He'll have our heads!" another employee pointed out.
"At least tell Bishop, this is very bad!" a third employee mentioned before running from the room.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" a voice yelled stopping everyone as they looked over where a green haired boy with a scar over his eye, and a business suit on with his nametag as 'Emperor' called walking in, "What's going on here?"
"Sir, that hacker Ghost Gal just gave one of the Ignis the key's to enter our data banks." one of the employees answered. "Blue Angel and Nyx were both with it."
"Did she do it cause she wanted too?" Emperor asked him, "Or was it cause she lost a match?"
"The Ignis defeated her in a duel." the second employee answered. "But sir... if the Ignis reaches our data who knows what kind of damage it could do."
"Hm..." Emperor gave thought before asking them, "Where's Kitamura?" He looked around seeing said man is not around, "Off on another 'untimely break' as is. I swear we did we hire that man...?" He shook his head in dismay before ordering, "Bring Kitamura here this instant!"
"Sir!" two of the employees mentioned running out of the large room as Akira approached him.
"Emperor sir, may I ask something?" Akira requested.
Emperor turned over to him, "Ah, Akira Zaizen. Just who I was about to look for. Is there something you need?"
"Considering Playmaker managed to defeat Gore, there's a possibility he could obtain the key from Blue Angel or Nyx." Akira mentioned thoughtfully. "With your permission, I'd like to personally guard SOL Technologies data in the event he attempts to access it."
"You know, I was just thinking the exact same thing. Your skills in Dueling are second to the Inner Circle, and me Akira. Your one of our best players here. So I am trusting you with this mission to prevent them from accessing SOL's Data Bank. If all goes well, you can have a promotion." Emperor said with a soft smile.
"Of course sir, I won't let you down." Akira bowed at that before calmly walking off.
Emperor then called, "And Akira?"
"Yes sir?" he asked.
Emperor had a smile, "I told you before to call me by my real name. I know calling me sir, or by my Chess Name is mandatory for politeness but you don't have to be so polite around me. I'm not gonna be mad, or fire you if you don't treat me politely."
Akira paused at that before nodding. "I understand... Sota, but I do it because I respect you."
Emperor nodded as Akira walked off before he sighed waiting for Kitamura. A few minutes later Kitamura and the two employees walked into the room. Emperor turned over seeing him, "Ah Kitamura, I was waiting here for you. Had another 'untimely break' as you so called them these passed couple of times?"
"Emperor sir!" Kitamura cried in shock. "No, of course not... I was simply... looking into a new plan for dealing with Playmaker. I think you'll be very pleased with our prototype AI duelists... they've been programmed to be unbeatable."
"Yes, and while you done that... You did nothing when one of the Ignis has Ghost Gal's key to our Data Banks." Emperor pointed out to him.
"It what?" Kitamura questioned in shock.
"Your supposed to be the manager here on security yet your out screwing around for your own selfishness." Emperor started to scold, "And these untimely breaks as you called them on numerous occasions are in fact wasting your time when you should focus on maintaining peace against anything that violates VRAINS' rules along with the Knights of Hanoi running amok." He walked over staring deep into Kitamura's eyes as said man sweat nervously as the other employees find this humorous before Emperor continued scolding, "I swear, I don't know why mother doesn't do the deed to kick you out already, and demoted Akira since he does a better job then you ever do. Your laziness, and your incompetence is gonna have severe consequences on how you manage security. If this keeps up be expected to be fired shortly if you don't step up, and do your job!"
"I... Sir..." Kitamura stuttered before taking a calm breath. "I'll send the Ai Prototypes into Link VRAINS immediately and have them locate and capture Playmaker and the Ignis, as well as defeat the Hanoi."
"And that's another thing. Your not paying attention." Emperor kept his glare on before saying, "Now for your sake, the Pawn Drone prototypes your fooling around with better be enough defenses before we advance forward with them. Otherwise you'll be out of a job where Akira will take your place again. Do you understand, Kitamura?"
He flinched at that but nodded. "I won't fail you sir."
Emperor takes a breath before he turned over pointing, "You there!"
"Sir?" the employee asked bowing quickly.
"Contact Rook immediately that we might have to advance forward with the Pawn Drones earlier then schedule due to Kitamura's lack of awareness, and make sure they gotten proper training understood?" Emperor asked before adding to her, "And also look for, and hire the Shepherd, and White Tiger for this job," Kitamura threw a shocked look at him for the second thing before Emperor finished to the employee, "Three days is my expectation."
"Of course." the employee nodded running from the room to find Rook.
"Emperor sir, do we really need to hire the Shepherd, and White Tiger for this? Their both the best Bounty Hunters, and I don't see why we should need their help?" Kitamura asked Emperor.
Emperor turned to him, "Maybe to you Kitamura but not me." Kitamura looked confused as Emperor told him, "A notion has been on my mind for a while that I am trying to remember. Something from my childhood before father explained that I was rescued from back then. I figured that I can remember better if I look into this."
"But... what exactly are you saying?" Kitamura asked.
"That isn't any of your business Kitamura." Emperor stated simply before ordering, "Now everyone get back to work!"
"Sir!" they all nodded at that.
He then turned to Kitamura saying, "As for you Kitamura just remember that your job is on the line this time... One more screw-up, or untimely break like that, and your on the streets. I'll see it personally with Father, and Mother's approval." With that last warning he walked out. Kitamura shuddered at that.
Ulrich362: This doesn't sound good at all.
bopdog111: If any of you seen the original then Sota or known as Emperor was the perfect creation of SOL, and King's son. Now here he is on a different matter. He is still strong as he was in the original but he is no longer a cybernetic duelist.
Ulrich362: True, though he's no less talented a duelist. That being said, it sounds like SOL Technologies is making their move not that the Female Ignis has a key to their data banks.
bopdog111: And Akira is looking to guard the Data Banks while Kitamura's Pawn Drone Prototypes are gonna enforce their defenses. And something about a new character known as White Tiger. Ulrich362: Sounds good to me, see you in the next chapter.
bopdog111: Be sure to review!
