bopdog111: We're back on Chronicles.

Ulrich362: True, and things are getting intense.

bopdog111: If you guys don't know yet, the Pawn Drones, are in fact the Prototype-Ais that Playmaker, and Blue Angel dueled against in canon that are finished.

Ulrich362: True, they were... less than impressive opponents though. Maybe that will change this time around?

bopdog111: Let's find out here.

Ulrich362: Agreed, enjoy the chapter.

The two girls, and the female Ignis exited Link VRAINS with the Data Key for the Data Banks.

"Consider me impressed." Celina smiled to the female Ignis.

The female Ignis blushed a bit blue hearing that as Ai admitted, "Yeah her Deck is nothing to sneeze at making multiple summons with just one card in your hand."

"Well, we have the keys... should we let the others know?" Yuri inquired.

"We should. It's about time we're getting the answers we need." Yusaku answered.

"Right, I'll send the message to LID." Cal mentioned with a smile.

"So what's our plan of attack?" Celina asked.

"Someone is going in with Yusaku, the question is who?" Yuri answered.

"Lilly?" Yusaku asked his sister.

She blinked at that before nodding only to laugh slightly.

"I guess this is one way to retire as a Charisma Duelist."

"Just be careful on it Lilly." Skye told her, "And no doubt my brother would view their defenses so I can't be in there."

"We might have a bigger problem." Cal mentioned suddenly. "Take a look at this."

Hearing that the Fujikis, and Skye looked at the monitors. They saw two robots racing through Link VRAINS with Duel Disks on their arms.

"There already finished with those?" Skye asked in shock seeing the robots.

"You know them?" Yuri asked her.

Skye nodded, "Their a new addition to SOL's Defenses. The Pawn Drones, AI Duelists that uses a Deck called Tentacluster that are Machine Monsters, and can inflict a lot of effect damage, and some lockdown strategies. Last I heard, they were making Prototypes 2 days ago."

"Why would they send Prototypes into Link VRAINS?" Celina asked.

"They might've seen us take Ghost Gal's key." the female Ignis realized.

Yuri frowned at that.

"They won't stop us." Yusaku said to them, "You set to get into SOL, Lilly?"

She took a breath before nodding. "Yeah, I am."

"We'll let you know when the others respond, but be careful. Those Pawn Drones are definitely looking for you two and the Ignis." Cal warned them.

They nodded as Yusaku entered the room calling, "It's time to Link into the VRAINS!" His consciousness is transferred into Link VRAINS as he appeared in on his Duel Board.

"So... where do we use that key?" Ai asked him.

"Over there." Playmaker said flying off to a direction dropping off in front of a ruined gate before sending a message that he's ready for Nyx.

A few moments later she arrived and landed on the building. "This... it's hard to believe this is really happening."

Playmaker nodded, "Let's do this."

The female Ignis exited Nyx's Duel Disk materializing Ghost Gal's key as it was absorbed into the ruined gate which triggered a swirling vortex in front of them.

The two of them prepared to jump in only for Ai to suddenly cry out.

"Incoming!" he cried.

They looked over seeing the Pawn Drone prototypes was charging at them as Playmaker told Nyx, "Hop in!"

He jumped into the gate. She nodded jumping in after him just as the Pawn Drones reached where they had been standing. They were into a black wormhole gateway on their Duel Boards charging forward at a fast speed with Data Storms around them.

"What kind of crazy place is this?" Ai questioned.

"A wormhole..." the Female Ignis answered looking around.

Sensing something Playmaker looked behind him, "We got company."

Hearing that they the others looked back. The Pawn Drones had followed them in the wormhole chasing after them.

"Not good, what do we do now?" Ai panicked.

"No other choice. We're gonna have to beat them out of the way." Playmaker said to them.

"Another tag duel?" Nyx asked hearing that.

Playmaker turned to her, "It's your choice? Take them together, or one on one?"

She frowned at that before closing her eyes. "One on one."

"Can you separate us?" Playmaker asked Ai.

Ai grinned, "Ai can do that!" He glowed summoning a Data Storm which forces the two Pawn Drones to split up allowing both siblings to ambush their own Drones to duel.

With Playmaker and the first Pawn Drone...

"A duel is one on one." Playmaker said to his Pawn Drone as they called, "DUEL!"

'Destroying his own monsters... that would seem like a suicide thing but something tells me it has something planned.'Playmaker thought hearing that.

Emperor turned to Kitamura, "Well Kitamura, the way you upgraded the Pawn Drone against Playmaker is impressive. Needs more on personality, but the Extra Summons really starts improving them."

"Why thank you sir, I told you there was nothing to worry about." Kitamura smiled.

"Too bad you haven't taken one thing about Playmaker into account." Emperor told him which killed Kitamura's good mood.

"What?" Kitamura questioned.

"The way you made the Drone is impressive if it was any other duelists... but for Playmaker however, it will allow him to invoke his greatest strength in Speed Duels." Emperor pointed out to Kitamura before saying, "Take a look, what do you notice about Playmaker's side?"

Kitamura examined Playmaker's field, hand, and LP looking over them before suddenly realizing.

(Playmaker: 0100)

"It's fine... even if he does get some new monster the Pawn Drones will be able to survive and defeat him on its next turn." Kitamura mentioned in a tone clearly trying to reassure himself more than Emperor.

"Sir, Pawn Drone B has been defeated." an employee told them suddenly.

Emperor hearing that asked, "How far did the Drone get against Nyx?"

"The Pawn Drone summoned one copy of Tentacluster Darkwhip before being defeated." the employee answered. "That was its only move."

"That could be the work of El Shaddoll Winda." Emperor said hearing that, "It can force both players to only Special Summon 1 time each turn."

With that said he, and the mentally panicking Kitamura turned back to Playmaker, and Drone B's Duel.

Playmaker 2nd Turn:

"My turn!" Playmaker called drawing before looking at Ai, "Ready the Data Storm!"

"You got it Playmaker." Ai grinned as the storm appeared.

The Pawn Drone stumbled on it's Duel Board before Playmaker charged in entering it plunging his hand against the currents, "I activate my skill! When I have 1000 or lower Life Points, I take 1 Cyberse from the Data Storm, and place that card in my Extra Deck! Neo Storm Access!"

"Wait sir... Akira hasn't succeeded either!" Kitamura pointed out trying to save face.

"I don't see how that's suppose to matter since you wasted your time as Manager of Security on those two Pawn Drones both who you failed to take into account of Playmaker, and Nyx's strengths, and weaknesses." Emperor stated simply to him before holding out his hand, "Hand over your nametag, and get out. Your fired."

"Please sir, one more chance!" Kitamura begged.

"Name Tag! Now." Emperor said with a sudden cold tone.

He shuddered as he slowly and nervously took his name tag and handed it to Emperor while the rest of the employees looked scared hearing the tone. Taking a breath to calm himself Emperor directed to two employees by the door, "Escort, the now fired Manager out of the building."

"Sir." they nodded as the three of them left.

"Em... Emperor sir?" one of the employees asked hesitantly. "What do we do if Playmaker manages to get past Akira Zaizen?"

"Then I will step in personally if I must." Emperor answered the employee, "But don't underestimate Akira. His ranking in Dueling is always above Kitamura's, and is also top ranking more then Gore's Charisma Duelist ranking. He will not be a easy duelist to beat. And you..." He said to the same employee turning to him.

"Sir?" the employee asked shuddering in fear.

Giving out a soft smile he tossed the nametag to the employee who blinked catching it before Emperor walked off waving his hand saying, "Do me a favor, and have that shredded okay? We have no more need for it."

The employee blinked before nodding and running to do what he was told.
