bopdog111: Akira got in a Draw against Specter.

Ulrich362: True, but Varis and Rosaly are still around.

bopdog111: Now it's up to Ghost Gal to stop Rosaly.

Ulrich362: Can she pull it off? Rosaly is a powerful opponent second only to Varis.

bopdog111: Let's find out.

Rosaly, and Ghost Gal appeared in a blue core around them.

"What?" Ghost Gal questioned looking around. "What did you just do?"

"Me, and Varis separated us so that we can be alone in our match. Your Leader will find out if he manages to get to one of us before we beat you three." Rosaly answered.

"Interesting, but you're already assuming you'll beat me?" Ghost Gal inquired. "I saw your strategies when you dueled Playmaker and Nyx."

"You think just because you seen my Deck, you have a chance?" Rosaly asked with a glare.

"Well it's better than going in blind." Ghost Gal pointed out. "So what kind of duel will this be?"

"We're going to Speed Duel." Rosaly said before they rode around the core, "For your sake, I hope your ready."

Meluseek charged in tackling Rosaly who shrugged. (Rosaly: 3500/Hand: 1)

"Don't wonder too long cause, I activate it!" Rosaly called activating the spell.

"It's effect allows me to Fusion Summon a monster by using Zombies on my field! Then if I have lower Life Points, I can banish a Zombie from my hand, Deck, or graveyard!" Rosaly told Ghost Gal.

Ghost Gal frowned hearing that.

"So I banish Al Ghoul Mazera from my Deck, and send Guard Ghost from my field to the graveyard to fuse them together!"

The two flew up readying fusing together.

The blast hit striking Ghost Gal's monster.

(Ghost Gal: 1500/Hand: 2)

"Whenever it attacks your monster it isn't destroyed but that's not all." Rosaly started.

"Hold that thought, you are activating that ability right?" Ghost Gal asked. "Because that means I can use the effect of Altergeist Protocol to send my Meluseek to the graveyard, negate that ability and destroy your monster!"

Rosaly looked shocked before her dragon vanished at this.

"Then, since Altergeist Meluseek went to the graveyard I can add Altergeist Konquery to my hand." Ghost Gal smirked.

She shows the card before Rosaly grunted before shrugging, "Ah well like that matters. Hellfire Dragon attack!"

"Well, I activate Pot of Greed!" Rosaly called.

"Hold that thought!" Rosaly called before calling, "I activate two Quick-Play Spells in response!"

Ghost Gal's eyes widened as neither of them noticed Nyx was approaching.

'I won't make the same mistake again.' Rosaly thought, "Burial from a Different Dimension, and Called by the Grave!"

Ghost Gal's eyes widened seeing that as the Konquery on her field vanished.

Nyx was looking at her nervously before clenching her fists as she shook her head and landed on the same building. "Rosaly right?"

"Yes, Nyx. Glad to hear you haven't forgotten me." Rosaly said turning to her.

"How could I forget you?" Nyx asked.

"Fair point." Rosaly shrugged before saying, "Now where we're you, and your brother? Me, and Varis suspected that you would've fought against us with SOLs right from the beginning."

Rosaly narrowed her eyes at this, "Is that what you believe Nyx? I'll tell you, that you shouldn't always believe what SOL's reports stated."

"What do you mean?" Nyx asked before shuddering only to shake her head. 'No, vampires or not this has to end one way or another. Yusaku can beat Varis, which means I need to defeat her.'

"Father is still alive." Rosaly answered.

"Yes but now he can't do anything in the real world. Thanks to SOLs he has been placed in a comatose state, and he can only act here in Link VRAINS." Rosaly glared at Nyx.

"That... I'm sorry." Nyx whispered hearing that.

"Spare me your sympathy. The Knights of Hanoi will fix all of father's mistakes with the Ignis, and when we're done with them then SOLs will be next for us to defeat." Rosaly stated simply to her, "Your either with us or against us."

"SOL Technologies isn't all bad, but I agree the people in charge need to answer for what they did." Nyx admitted before looking at Rosaly with determined eyes. "So for now, I am against you!"

"You think, you can defeat me here even with your little fear of Vampires?" Rosaly asked her.

"You're right, I am afraid... but I'm the only one who can duel you." Nyx answered. "Just like my brother is the only one who can beat Varis."

"Alright, I'll take your little challenge. But not here. Follow me." Rosaly readied her Duel Board flying off.

Nyx frowned but nodded following her.

"One that allows me to add these two to my hand." Varis shows both a spell, and a Ritual Monster is what he added.

Gore nodded. "I'm familiar with the spell you used. Though to be honest I didn't expect you to use Ritual Summoning too, I guess you're just full of surprises for me."

"If I am aim to settle the score with Playmaker, I gotta be equal to him." Varis said before calling, "For now, I activate Heavy Interlock!"

Heavy Interlock

Ritual Spell Card

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Borreload Riot Dragon". You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field, and/or destroy "Rokket" monsters from your hand or face-up field, whose total Levels equal 8 or more. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot be destroyed by battle with a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, and is unaffected by the activated effect of any monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck.

"By using monsters on my field or hand, or by destroying Rokkets used, I can Ritual Summon one of my favorites." Varis stated.

Gore frowned hearing that. "Well unfortunately you won't get the chance because I'm going to win this duel."

"That's bold. Let's see if you can keep that up."

With the shatter of Anthesrokket and a card in his hand he raised his arm as it formed an altar.

"When the contract is made it spawns a hail of bullets! And that who manages it will use these same bullets to open my way to the closed world! Ritual Summon! Come out! Level 8, Borreload Riot Dragon!"

What appeared from this was a blue scaled version of Borreload, and Savage Dragons roaring loud.

You can only use each effect of "Borreload Riot Dragon" once per turn.

Gore frowned seeing that. "Not a bad monster."

"Well now it's coming to your Goku Bearhug!" Varis called as Riot Dragon roared charging at Bearhug.

Gore's monster shattered.

(Gore: 3400/Hand: 2)

"Not bad but when Gouki Bearhug is destroyed I can add a new Gouki card from my deck to my hand and I think Gouki Twistcobra is just the monster to pick." Gore mentioned adding the card.

"I also get a monster." Varis sets a card before saying, "During this End Phase as Anestrokket was on my field when destroyed, I can summon another Rokket from my Deck. Some Silverrokket!"

Gore drew his card and smirked. "Alright, first things first I'll use my Gouki Cage Match Field Spell."

A cage rose from the ground as Varis looked around.

"When I play this card I put three counters on it, but I'll get to what those do later." Gore explained.

"Hm." Varis gave into thought as he looked at it.

"By sending Twistcobra to the graveyard I can increase the attack points of my Gouki Suprex by 1600 until the end of my turn." Gore explained as Twistcobra vanished.

Gouki Suprex: (ATK: 1800 + 1600 = 3400)

"Then since Twistcobra went to my graveyard I can add a Gouki card, like the spell Gouki Re-Match."

Gouki Re-Match

"So what are you planning to do?" Varis asked him.

"Well, since I used Gouki Re-Match to summon my Gouki Bearhug his special ability cuts the attack points of your Riot Dragon in half." Gore explained.

Bearhug roared at that which weakened Riot Dragon.

Riot Dragon: (ATK: 3000 / 2 = 1500)

"With that done, I'll have my powered-up Suprex to take down your weakened Riot Dragon." Gore declared.

Suprex charged forward at this as the dragon roared in defiance before Suprex tackled it destroying it but Varis doesn't look worried. (Varis: 2100/Hand: 2)

"What?" Gore questioned hearing that.

"While on the field Riot Dragon is useful however, what it's truly capable of is when it's in the graveyard." Varis smirked to him.

Gore's eyes widened in shock hearing that.

"And here's what it does! By destroying a card on my field, or in my hand I retrieve a Rokket or Borrel from my graveyard back to my hand!"

His face-down shattered before a card appeared in front of him which he takes in his hand.

"So what card did you add?" Gore questioned. "I'm guessing it wasn't the Anesthrokket Dragon you destroyed."

"And your correct it was the other card, I used to summon Riot Dragon. The Level 7, Exploderokket." Varis turned the card showing it to Gore before saying, "For now appear the future circuit that lights up my path!"

Varis wins!

"Ended with the Hanoi's victory like we said." Varis said to to Gore before saying, "Don't fret you can still help, but your Data will be used for the Tower of Hanoi."

As he said that he absorbed Gore's data.

"Varis." Playmaker said getting his attention.

"Hm?" Varis turned as Playmaker dropped up near him, "Well well Playmaker... You had been unusually absent for most of the battle. Care to let me know what took you so long?"

"My friends and family were looking into the data we got from SOL Technologies." Playmaker answered. "We learned a lot, including that your father, the man behind the Lost Incident, is dead."

"Your that quick to judge based on the reports? My father is still alive Playmaker." Varis told him.

Playmaker's eyes widened briefly before he nodded. "Though considering you and your sister are the leaders of the Knights of Hanoi it stands to reason something happened to him."

"All you need to know is that SOL is responsible for everything. The Ignis, my father, the Hanoi everything. By the time me, and the Hanoi are done with the Ignis there next. Your either siding with us or are against us." Varis told Playmaker simply.

"SOL Technologies will answer for what they've done, but first I'll stop the Tower of Hanoi." Playmaker replied.

"Very well, then I'll have to finish you myself." Varis said hearing that preparing himself with Playmaker before they sensed something looking over seeing Rosaly, and Nyx just arrived.

"Varis."

"Rosaly." Varis said before looking around, "Where's Specter?"

"I lost contact with him but Blue Angel isn't with him. It could be that either Specter retired back with father or has been defeated." Rosaly told him.

Varis looked down, "His sacrifice won't be in vain. He like all of us fought hard against the Ignis, and SOL, and we will honor his legacy."

"Indeed." Rosaly nodded before looking over, "And both our prizes are here. I intend to fight Nyx here by myself."

"Me too with Playmaker." Varis agreed, "Me, and Playmaker will take one side while you deal with Nyx on the other."

"Agreed. I hope you two are ready." Rosaly said readying herself against Nyx, "While my brother deals with your brother, Nyx, we will settle our own battle."

She shuddered before taking a slow breath. "Fine, but you should know... it wasn't Blue Angel who defeated Specter. It must have been her brother Akira, he told us to find you two while he dueled Specter himself."

"So the older Zaizen bared his fangs at last. He fought to the last I'll give him that, defeating Specter was something that can't be done by normal means." Rosaly said before saying, "But now it's up to me to carry on his wishes."

Playmaker and Nyx nodded as the four of them got ready for the final two duels.

"Hold on!" a familiar voice called out.

Hearing that all four of them turned to see who it was. Who dropped in was Emperor who stood up looking at them.

"Huh, what are you doing here?" Nyx asked seeing him.

"Well well Emperor, you finally found one of us." Varis said seeing him.

"Ghost Gal, Akira, Gore, and Blue Angel... all four of them gave everything to stop the Hanoi but only Specter was defeated... I'm now the only one of SOLs that can still fight." Emperor said stepping in front of Playmaker, and Nyx, "I will not let everyone down, I can still fight!"

"Hn, I was intending to fight Playmaker but I suppose I still have time to take care of you. Defeating you will have your father realize that the Hanoi are NOT to be crossed." Varis said before turning to Rosaly, "Rosaly before we settle our score with Playmaker, and Nyx let me take care of the Prince of SOL Technologies."

She nodded. "Should we let his parents enjoy the show?"

"Of course, perhaps by then they will see that crossing with us is the most foolish thing they'll ever do." Varis confirmed.

Emperor turned to Playmaker, and Nyx, "Playmaker, Nyx it's asking a lot but let me take over. Like you both I got a score to settle with the Hanoi, finishing things up with old scars."

"Be careful, these two are strong." Playmaker warned him.

Meanwhile at SOL Technologies...

The Inner Circle were in a meeting before some knocking was heard as King looked up calling, "What? What is it?"

Who entered was an employee who bowed, "Sir, you might want to see this." He handed him a tablet that showed Emperor, Varis, Rosaly, Nyx, and Playmaker with Varis and Emperor preparing to duel, "Emperor's preparing to fight the leader of the Hanoi himself."

"What? Where is Akira? Why isn't he doing something?" the woman glared at the employee at this.

The employee shook in fear before saying, "Security Manager Zaizen... He fell in battle against the Hanoi, Miss Queen. All our Bounty Hunters, and the Pawn Drones were defeated. Emperor's all that's left to fight the Hanoi for SOL Technologies."

King narrowed his eyes before directing the employee, "Get back to the room. Me, and the rest of the Inner Circle will head over right away to view this battle. This is of upmost importance to take lightly."

"Yes sir." the employee mentioned fearfully before quickly leaving the room.

"He let Zaizen keep his job and the idiot ends up losing. We should have fired him." mentioned a short man.

"Patience Rook, I can assume that Zaizen dealt a critical blow to the Hanoi before he fell." King said standing up before saying to the man in glasses, "Bishop, we will settle this meeting another time. We have a life changing battle to view. Depending on the outcome, it will be for the good of SOL Tech."

"Yes sir." Bishop bowed as they walked.

Eventually all of the Inner Circle arrived as King asked Risa, "Risa! Has the battle started?"

"Not yet, they're saying something but... we only have visuals." she answered. "White Tiger and Sheppard have been messaged but neither one of them has responded yet."

"Keep an eye out for either. Right now, a battle that goes into the history of SOL Technologies is in place." King said before all of them turned to the large screen to view.

"Emperor is like you one of the Taken. I hope he doesn't let his emotions take over his being." the female Ignis said to them worried.

Dark Simorgh: (Attribute: DARK/WIND/ATK: 2700 + 300 = 3000/DEF: 1000 + 300 = 1300)

At that a second Autorokket appeared.

Autorokket Dragon: (ATK: 1600 + 300 = 1900/DEF: 1000 + 300 = 1300)

Emperor's Hand: 0/Field: Elborz, the Sacred Lands of Simorgh (Field Zone), Dark Simorgh (Attack Position/Attribute: DARK/WIND/ATK: 3000/DEF: 1300), Simorgh, Lord of the Storm (Attack Position/ATK: 3200/DEF: 2300), Simorgh, Bird of Bringing (Defense Position/ATK: 1300/DEF: 1300), Simorgh Sky Battle (face-up)

Varis 2nd Turn:

"Then it's my turn draw!" Varis drew.

'Using Sky Battle's effect, I can only deal 1500 points of damage... I gotta wait.' Emperor thought.

"Now to end this! I activate the effect of Boot Sector Launch! If you have more monsters on the field then I do, I can summon any number of rokkets from the graveyard equal to the difference!" Varis called.

"Perfect! I activate Lord of the Storm's ability! By Tributing a Wind Winged Beast on my field, I can shuffle back a card you have back to your Deck!" Emperor called as Lord of the Storm glowed while Bird of Bringing vanished, "I choose your field spell!"

Boot Sector Launch vanished at this which takes away the boost.

Autorokket Dragon: (ATK: 1900 - 300 = 1600/DEF: 1300 - 300 = 1000) x2

Rosaly only smirked. "That was a mistake."

"Cause, now I can use my Spells, and Traps. First I use Pot of Greed!" After drawing twice he added, "Then I activate Rapid Trigger!"

Rapid Trigger

Quick-Play Spell Card

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, by destroying monsters you control as Fusion Material, but it cannot attack, except to attack monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, also it is unaffected by the activated effects of other monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. You can only activate 1 "Rapid Trigger" per turn.

"With this by destroying the monsters on my field, I can Fusion Summon!" Varis revealed.

Playmaker frowned hearing that. The two Autorokket's shattered before fusing.

"Heroic Dragons! Become the Will of Fire by transforming to Bullets to open the Gate! Fusion Summon! Level 8! Borreload Furious Dragon!"

At that a purple, and red scaled Borreload appeared roaring.

"Then I use it's effect! I destroy itself, and your Trap!"

The Dragon flew destroying Simorgh Sky Battle before Varis added, "I use it's ability from the graveyard! I banish it to summon a DARK Link Monster back from the graveyard but it can't use it's abilities this turn! Rise again, Quadborrel!"

Quadborrel rose back at this. (Attack Position)

"Then I summon Hibernation Dragon!"

A dragon rose up at this.

"When summoned I take Gateway Dragon back to my hand, and as you have a Link Monster I can summon it again!"

Gateway Dragon popped back up at this.

"Then appear the future circuit that lights up my path!"

The circuit appeared before the three flew up entering the Top, Left, Bottom-Left, and Bottom arrows.

"My gale that slices open the closed world! Link Summon! Appear, Link 4 Borrelsword Dragon!"

What shot forward was another Borrel Dragon that has a blade on it's head roaring.

3+ Effect Monsters
Cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Attack Position monster; change it to Defense Position, also, this card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect's activation. Once per turn, when this card declares an attack on a face-up monster: You can activate this effect; until the end of this turn, this card gains ATK equal to half that monster's current ATK, and if it does, that monster's current ATK is halved.

"Another one?" Ai panicked.

"And now Borrelsword Dragon attack Simorgh, Lord of the Storm!"

Borrelsword charged at this readying it's sword.

"Lord of the Storm?" Emperor asked confused as Lord of the Storm.

That was when Varis called, "Then I activate Borrelsword's ability! When it attacks it halves the monster's attack points, and Borrelsword gains that half!"

At that Borrelsword quickly surpassed Lord of the Storm.

Borrelsword: (ATK: 3000 + 1600 = 4600)

Lord of the Storm: (ATK: 3200 / 2 = 1600)

Rosaly only smirked seeing that.

"Does this mean... I failed?" Emperor asked shocked as he watched helplessly as Borrelsword sliced down splitting Lord of the Storm in two as he kneeled.

Varis wins!

"You shouldn't be too hard on yourself, you just had the wrong opponent." Rosaly told him as Varis extended his hand and Emperor started to turn into data. "You never could have defeated Varis."

Emperor turned to Playmaker, and Nyx behind him, "Playmaker, Nyx... I hope what I done so far can help you two. Just please don't let Ghost Gal, Akira, Gore, and Blue Angel's sacrifices be in vain."

"We won't." Playmaker told him softly.

Emperor smiled before closing his eyes as he fully turned to Data in the Tower of Hanoi before both Hanoi siblings smirked to the two as Rosaly said to them, "Now that that's out of the way, no more distractions."

"It's finally time we put an end to this." Playmaker nodded. "If we defeat you both, the Tower of Hanoi will be stopped."

Back at SOL Technologies...

Everyone but the Inner Circle watched in shock, and started to panic seeing Emperor's defeat before King closed his eyes announcing, "Calm down all of you."

"Sir, Emperor... your own son was just defeated by the Hanoi!" one of the employees cried in disbelief.

"It just closed a new chapter in the history of SOL Technologies. Let this be a lesson to you all that if you left kinks in your Deck's strategies then this will happen. Emperor paid the price cause he failed to defend his Deck's strategies, and fell for Varis' tactics." King announced without remorse, "Now get back to work all of you. Now's no time for mourning."

"Sir!" the employees all said before quickly getting to work.

Ulrich362: ... Wow, heartless much? You just saw your son get absorbed and all you can say is he failed? Then again what do I expect when he didn't even care about Sota's accident?

bopdog111: If he is sad about Sota's defeat then he is expertly hiding it. Well he is outrage that Sota was defeated but he is keeping a Professional Appearance about it.

Ulrich362: If you say so, but now it's up to Nyx and Playmaker to finally stop the Knights of Hanoi... They pulled it off once but that was a tag-duel... this is something completely different.

bopdog111: Can they manage to do it a second time this time one-on-one?

Ulrich362: We'll have to wait and see. See you in the next chapter. Oh, and for the curious... Yuya and the others are still going to make an appearance in this story and in fact... they might just have a bigger role in the near future than anyone is expecting.

bopdog111: Be sure to review!
