Sota had just finished explaining his plan.
"Does everyone understand?" Sota asked them.
They all nodded.
"Okay. Remember to act the part so we can make sure Father, and SOL won't catch on quick. This is a one time chance so we can't afford any slip ups or Father's plan to take over the world will succeed." Sota told them all. He then turned to Kenneth, "Kenneth, I know you don't trust others but if you truly help us all, you not only be doing us a favor, your doing me a favor."
Kenneth tched before saying, "I'm only agreeing to this cause King needs to be stopped, and I don't want to be a random encounter."
"Then... we all agree?" Yusaku asked calmly.
They all nodded at this. Skye turned to her hearing that, "Yes Lilly?"
"Sorry." she whispered. "For getting you and your brother caught up in everything."
"Oh don't apologize. None of it was your fault." Skye smiled to her.
She nodded. "I have something to do, I'll see you at home Yusaku."
The female Ignis turned to her before asking Skye, "Skye?"
"Huh, yeah?" she asked her.
"Can I stay in your Duel Disk for a little?" the female Ignis asked her, "I want to get to know you."
Kenneth frowned hearing that.
"Oh... sure." Skye nodded.
The Female Ignis moved going into Skye's duel disk.
"Sota, we should head back." Akira mentioned. "Your father's probably wondering where we are and why we're not working on the system error."
Sota nodded standing up, "Yes quite. He's probably gotten Bishop overlooking the group."
"Probably." Akira nodded.
He turned to Yusaku, and Lilly, "Yusaku, Lilly, you two should continue being like yourselves here. Take in mind, this meeting never happened."
"No, it didn't." Yusaku nodded.
He nodded before saying to Gore, "Gore this also means, you can't show any differences to SOL. Your a Charmisa Duelist so I expect you, and Skye to keep this under tight lips."
The two of them nodded but they both looked like they were thinking about something. With that they walked out before Yusaku said to her, "Don't stay over too late Lilly."
"What are you talking about, I'm just getting some air that's all." she said quickly.
"Same deal, don't stay out late." Yusaku said before walking down a different direction.
Lilly watched him go before taking a slow breath and walking off herself.
"Wait a minute!" someone called to Yusaku.
Hearing that Yusaku looked over curiously at who's calling for him. It was Skye walking up to him. "I don't know how long we'll be locked out of Link Vrains, but I wanted to ask you a favor."
"What kind of favor Skye?" Yusaku asked her.
"My deck is good, but not good enough... I learned that the hard way against Varis and Specter." Skye admitted. "So, do you mind helping me learn to add Fusion Summoning to it?"
Yusaku blinked at that, "You... want me to teach you Fusion Summoning?"
"Yeah, I do." she nodded.
Yusaku at this gives thought cupping his chin looking at the ground. After a minute he looked to her before nodding, "Alright, I think I can teach you how too."
"Thanks I really appreciate it." Skye smiled.
He nodded back before asking, "It's alright for your brother for you to be with me for this?"
"It's fine." she reassured him.
He nodded before they walked off.
Meanwhile...
Lilly was walking back over to the Kogami Mansion arriving in. Or at least she tried only for Aso to stop her. "What do you think you're doing?"
"I want to talk to Ryoken." Lilly told Aso.
"Unless you came to hand over the Ignis, I doubt master Ryoken has anything to discuss with you." Genome mentioned.
"I told you not to refer me as master." a voice said behind them.
It was Ryoken who walked over before telling the two, "Genome, Aso leave us."
"Sir." they nodded walking off as Lilly frowned.
"I... kind of get why they would do that." she admitted.
"I told them many times." Ryoken sighed, "I'm no-one's master. Being a leader doesn't make me a master."
"That's true, but it shows how much they respect you." Lilly pointed out.
"Can't argue with that." Ryoken shrugged before looking to her, "So Lilly, what brings you over?"
She paused at that. "I... I wanted to thank you again for what you did for my brother."
Ryoken nodded hearing that, "I see... and it's not for wanting to ask me for?"
"It's... complicated." Lilly sighed.
Ryoken nodded again, "Well want to take a walk around?"
"Oh... sure." Lilly nodded.
With that both Lilly, and Ryoken walked to the city together close to each other.
"I... I don't want this to sound weird but... you're kind of like my dad." Lilly admitted after a while.
Ryoken turned to her, "Really? What's he like?"
"Well, when he was little he was kind of lonely since he was such a good duelist nobody wanted to duel or spend time with him because they were afraid of losing, until Leo Akaba started praising his skill." Lilly answered recalling what her parents had told her. "Then for a while he was... kind of a real jerk who just enjoyed beating people in duels and turning them into cards for the Professor, but after Yuya beat him and the war ended... he calmed down a lot and became a lot gentler."
Lilly just frowned realizing why it must have taken so long.
"We were about to be taken by authorities but Aso, Clarissa, and Genome came in, and take us away from them. When they told us what's the goal, we strive to help father anyway we can. But when father informed us of what he found out from the simulations, we decide to follow his will as our duty as his children to destroy the Ignis." Ryoken explained further for Lilly.
"That... I'm sorry." she whispered.
"No need to apologize. There was nothing you could've done." Ryoken assured her.
"There is a reason!" she snapped turning to him angrily. "If Yusaku and I... if our family had known what was really going on, why you were going so far then..."
She just sighed before shaking her head.
"I should just go, if you ever find out why coexistence is impossible... well, I just hope that there's another option. If not..."
Lilly frowned before walking off. She feels a hand on her shoulder at that. Pausing she turned. Ryoken was looking at her before saying, "There was no way you could've known about it. When this is over, I will turn myself in for everything the Knights of Hanoi had done. It's the least I can do for redemption."
"You're wrong!" Lilly argued. "Yes, what you and the others did was horrible but so was what my dad and everyone else from Duel Academy did... honestly what they did was probably worse if you really think about it. They're making amends by helping people and so can you, when it's over... you could do something that can help everyone here... better you than SOL Technologies anyway, especially with someone like King in charge."
"You really think that?" Ryoken asked her.
"Yes, I do." Lilly nodded only to sigh. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm really bad at this, really bad... just like my mom. It took aunt Zuzu, aunt Lulu, and aunt Rin to help her figure out how to ask dad out and even then it..."
She suddenly froze and started blushing slightly.
"Just ignore that, but I do think once this is all over you and the others could do a lot of great things for the people of Den City."
Ryoken looked at her before saying, "I could use your help for that."
"Huh?" Lilly asked in surprise before nodding. "Well, I can try. I'm not that good with computers like you or Yusaku but I'll do what I can to help."
He nodded before offering her a hand, "So you like to have a small evening? Just the two of us?"
Lilly froze before blushing. "Oh... sure, that sounds nice."
She takes his hand before they walked together enjoying several things around. At sunset over the edge of the ocean one photographer asked them for a picture as a way to capture a moment for News Paper.
"Oh... thanks for offering but we're ok." Lilly mentioned politely.
"I wouldn't care about a picture for the Newspaper. It just means a new chapter is gonna be written in our lives." Ryoken told her.
"Oh, well... ok." Lilly blushed.
The picture was taken at that case, and the photographer thanked them, and walked off. Ryoken at that soon admitted, "I haven't been out like this in a while Lilly."
"It's nice sometimes." Lilly smiled looking at the sky. "I really love the night sky, it's part of why I went with Nyx as my avatar in Link VRAINS."
"What are the other reasons?" Ryoken asked her.
"Oh, it was mostly just that." Lilly clarified.
Ryoken nodded looking up at the sky before they noticed a shooting star just passed them. Smiling Lilly closed her eyes to make a wish. Ryoken also closed his eyes but for a different reason. Lilly suddenly frowned. "There's... something else."
Ryoken opened his eyes looking over. "Something else?"
Lilly nodded before quietly explaining everything Sota told them earlier. When she was done Ryoken closed his eyes, "We must not allow SOL to claim the Ignis before we do then."
"I know..." Lilly whispered.
Meanwhile with the Lancers...
They were all gathered in the Kogami Residence ready to fight Roget again.
"So, who's going in first?" Crow asked.
"I guess I'll take the charge." Yugo told them.
"Alright, but be careful Yugo." Rin warned him. "Who knows what Roget has planned."
He nodded before readying his Duel Disk calling, "Into the VRAINS!"
Everyone watched as his Duel Disk beeped for a few seconds before a holographic image of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon appeared as he was sent into Link VRAINS.
In Link VRAINS...
Yugo appeared in a green, and white Turbo Dueling Uniform around the ruins of Link VRAINS from the war between SOL Tech, and the Knights of Hanoi. He saw the Tower of Hanoi off in the distance glowing ominously.
"Alright time to finish this!" Yugo called as a Duel Runner virtualized as he gets on it riding towards the Tower of Hanoi.
"Ah, so you came first. I can't say I'm surprised, you aren't normally the type to think before jumping into things headfirst." Roget's voice echoed. "Tell me, what do you see before you?"
As he said that hundreds if not thousands of Ancient Gear Soldiers equipped with Duel Disks appeared between Yugo and the Tower of Hanoi. Yugo made a screech stop as he yelled, "Roget you coward! Come out, and fight me yourself, so I'll give you something to REALLY think about!"
"Please, why would I waste my time with a weakling like you? These soldiers are more than sufficient to wipe you out." Roget smirked. "Now, which one to give the honor of crushing you? Ah, this should work."
At that one of the soldiers began approaching Yugo as its eye began glowing. Yugo grunted before calling, "Alright fine, once I'm done with that bucket of bolts your next!"
"Then by all means, try and win this duel." Roget taunted.
Yugo activated his Duel Disk, "Alright! And these Master Duel Rules won't make a difference!"
The Master Duel Field appeared between the two as he called, "DUEL!"

At that a three sided purple pyramid popped up.

"Sorry but I use Fast Dragon's ability! Your monster's effect is negated, and it's attack points goes to 0!" Yugo revealed as Fast Dragon charged an effect.
The soldier only responded by revealing a copy of Infernity Barrier.

Yugo then looked at the sky, "Alright Roget, stop hiding, and come out, and face me yourself so I'll mop you up real quick!"
"You defeat one opponent and think this is over? Far from it, though you have shown me I overestimated my strategies... I'll have to reconsider my next move." Roget mentioned as to Yugo's shock he was forcibly logged out of Link VRAINS.
Back outside...
Yugo gasped shooting up, "What the!?"
"Yugo, are you alright?" Rin asked seeing that.
"Yeah... he had an army of Ancient Gear Soldiers. I had a little trouble but I destroyed that bucket of bolts but Roget said it shown him he overestimated his plans, and then booted me off." Yugo answered.
"So it seems we'll have to fight through his army in order to reach him." Declan noted calmly. "Still, this confirms that we can enter Link VRAINS so we should try and figure out a strategy."
"But we should also deal with him booting us off whenever he feels like it. He can use that against us during a duel like his holograms." Riley mentioned her voice deeper, and her figure slender throughout the years.
"That's true." Yuya frowned.
"I wouldn't worry, if he logs us out we'll just head back in." Yugo grinned.
Earlier in the day...
Specter, and Sachiko were together walking around with a sunset.
"Are you doing alright Sachi?" he inquired using her nickname.
"I'm doing just fine Specter." Sachiko smiled to her at that, "It's just nice to finally lay down the past if it's only for a while."
"I suppose that's true, with everything we've been doing we haven't had the chance to just spend time together." he admitted. "I've missed this."
"The last time was about at uh..." Sahciko tried to think before saying with what she remembered, "About 1 month after you joined us?"
"Yeah it was." he smiled closing his eyes.
"Good, I was worried I'm getting forgetful in my old age." Sachiko joked with a chuckle since she is barely old enough to be an adult.
Specter chuckled himself. "You'll have an amazing memory well into your senior years, but if you do happen to forget something I'll be here to help remind you. Speaking of which, I have a surprise for you."
"You do?" Sachiko asked surprised.
Specter only smiled as he walked off before coming back holding a small box. "You mentioned raspberries dipped in chocolate was your favorite correct?"
"No way!" Sachiko said with a big smile.
"I try to remember my girlfriend's tastes." Specter chuckled handing her the box. "Plus, I figured you could use a pick-me-up after what we went through recently."
She froze at that, "Girlfriend?"
Specter paused. "Was I wrong? I know we've had other priorities but I enjoy spending time with you and thought we were close even among... our associates."
"No it's just... I waited so long for this." she told him.
"I see, well my apologies for the delay." Specter smiled.
"Can you... kiss me?" Sachiko asked him.
Specter smiled before gently kissing her cheek.
"Dummy. Not like that." Sachiko grinned to him.
Specter smiled back before kissing her. Sachiko kissed him back with closed eyes. After a moment Specter pulled back.
"Oh wow... your such a good kisser Specter-No... Steve." Sachiko said the real name of her now boyfriend.
"It's been too long since I've heard that name." he admitted with a small blush. "Sachiko, do you think Ryoken and the others would mind if we left for a day or two?"
Sachiko only smiled to him, "Once I let my brother know, we will be fine."
"Well, I think with everything going on... we should spend some time together just the two of us." Specter smiled.
Sachiko nodded in agreement before kissing him again, "Well now let's do things I normally enjoy in life."
"That sounds wonderful." Specter smiled.
Ulrich362: Well, Yugo managed to win the first duel and... it looks like three couples have been formed? Some seem to be doing better than others though.
bopdog111: Well Specter's real name was never revealed so I decided for Steve to be his real name. His real name could be Specter but we never know.
Ulrich362: True, though with that said we'll have to see what happens with the Lancers and our three new couples. Oh, and we're still more than willing to take deck requests for Roget's army.
