bopdog111: Can Dennis' Performages manage against the Hell Deck?

Ulrich362: Well he has Trapeze Magician.

bopdog111: Assuming it can handle the power the Hell Deck has against him.

Ulrich362: True, well there's really only one way to find out right?

bopdog111: And for the Guest Reviewers, we can only respond only if you have names otherwise we don't know which guy's which.

Ulrich362: True, even if you just give a name in the guest review we can answer it.

bopdog111: And speaking of Reviewer, we had gotten one from someone named Unknowedz about something we have to speak about.

Ulrich362: That's true, well two things actually.

bopdog111: Here's what he said;

No offence but this chapter's title is misleading. It made me think for a moment that you are going through the story of the World Legacy rather than the fic story. Aside from this, I do remember that Emperor is actually pretty powerful from its predecessor fanfic. I'm glad that this is coming back but I fear that this version of Emperor is probably nerfed compared to the previous version. Unless he too has his Link 6.

Ulrich362: Apologies for the confusion with the chapter title, though as for Emperor seeming less powerful than in Legacy of Fusion... we have plans for that... along with the Link 6 right Bopdog?

bopdog111: Well maybe not the Link 6 but Prince, and King will be different since we have the antagonist Lightning back in the fold. We still have the Ignis Warfare Arc to consider when we get to that point, and again no Ai's Rebellion Arc will be happening.

Ulrich362: Fair enough, that said there's still the matter of Roget to deal with. Enjoy the chapter.

Following their first night at the beach Steve and Sachiko were eating breakfast together in a small hotel.

"I'm not certain, but seashells can be found on the seafloor correct?" Steve inquired.

"Yes but you can imagine without snorkeling gear there hard to get too." Sachiko answered.

"True, so then it's a good thing we're at the beach to try snorkeling. We might find something special to decorate a vase for your bouquet." he smiled.

Sachiko giggled at that, "Oh how thoughtful of ya."

Steve chuckled at that. She kissed his cheek at that. He returned the kiss with a smile. "I'll go pick up our gear and meet you at the water?"

"Of course Stevie." Sachiko smiled before handing him some money, "Here."

While he does that Sachiko walked back to the beach. She saw couples, families, and friends all spending time enjoying the beach. Sachiko smiled at this staring off. After a while she noticed Steve walking up to her with two bags. Sachiko smiled walking over to him, "Well you ready to do some snorkeling?"

"Of course." he smiled before helping her put the gear on.

Sachiko puts them on before she turns to him, "Do I look alright?"

After putting his gear on Steve turned to her before smiling. "You look lovely."

Sachiko smiled before offering her hand, "Shall we?"

"Of course." he smiled as they walked into the ocean.

They walked together before diving together swimming done to find some shells. After a bit Steve tapped her shoulder and pointed to what looked like some light purple shells. Sachiko smiled before they swam over. Smiling the two of them collected some of the shells together.

After collecting some they same up exiting the beach with smiles as Sachiko looks them over, "Wow there so pretty."

"They certainly are." Steve smiled.

"Well last is a vase right?" she asked her boyfriend.

"True." he nodded.

Sachiko kissed him again before they walked off to the store for a vase.

"We should get a crystal vase." Steve suggested.

"Crystal huh? Going all fancy for me huh?" Sachiko asked with a playful glance.

"I might be, I am still making up for making you wait." he chuckled. "Plus, I do think it makes the bouquet look more elegant."

"True too." Sachiko smiled before she walked asking an employee, "Excuse me sir?"

"Yes?" he asked turning to her. "How can I help you?"

"Do you have any crystal vases?" Sachiko asked him.

"Crystal, I believe so right this way." he smiled.

Sachiko, and Steve followed him as he leads them over.

"We don't have many crystal but you should be able to find something you like." he smiled.

"Thank you." Sachiko smiled as they checked over the vases.

"Do you see anything?" Steve inquired.

They looked over before Sachiko gasped. "Oh my god this one is gorgeous."

Seeing it Specter carefully picked it up. "I agree, it is beautiful."

Sachiko smiled before checking the price. "Hmm... 80.99."

"A bit pricey, but I think it's more than worth it for you." he smiled.

Sachiko smiled nodding walking to the register.

"Ah, an excellent choice." the man at the register smiled.

"Here you are." Sachiko smiled as Steve handed the vase to him.

Steve smiled paying before carefully taking the vase. "Thank you."

"You're very welcome." the man smiled as Steve and Sachiko walked back to put the bouquet in the new vase.

Meanwhile...

It was at the Fujiki Household where Celina made everyone breakfast with Ai in another room with Roboppi talking with each other as Yuri checks over the Newspaper, and Yusaku walked in where Celina smiled to her son, "Good morning Yusaku."

"Oh... morning." Yusaku mentioned sitting down. "Is everything going ok with Roget?"

"We won the first duel but Roget fought back with a Deck SOL was planning to use on there Pawn Drones. Dennis will be taking care of it today." Yuri explained.

Yusaku nodded though his parents noticed he looked unusually distracted.

"Is something wrong Yusaku?" Celina asked seeing that.

"Huh? Oh... no it's nothing." he answered only to pause. "Just something Skye mentioned after her Fusion Summon."

"Do you want to talk about it?" Yuri asked him.

"It's..." Yusaku started only to look confused. "She told me she loves me."

His parents blinked before Celina asked, "Loves you as in more then a friend?"

"I have no idea." Yusaku admitted. "We spent the day practicing after she got Trickstar Fusion and Trickstar Band Sweet Guitar, it got late and I offered to walk her back... and then she just said she loves me."

Celina, and Yuri looked at each other before turning back, and Yuri asked, "And how do you feel?"

"Confused." Yusaku admitted. "Really confused."

Celina sat down before saying, "Well Yusaku... what kind of feelings do you have for Skye?"

"Jealousy." Yusaku admitted after a few moments. "More than anything it's jealousy."

"Cause of her being a Charisma Duelist, and having fun at dueling?" Yuri guessed.

Yusaku looked down and just nodded.

"Well Yusaku, it's not too late." Celina said patting his back.

"Maybe... but I doubt there will be Charisma Duelists once SOL Technologies is exposed for their crimes." he admitted.

"Well we can talk with Declan about it." Yuri suggested to him. "Having LID have there own Charisma Duelists with SOL once there exposed."

"Maybe." Yusaku nodded. "I should say something to Skye though."

"Do you feel happy?" Celina asked him.

Yusaku paused at that. "I... I don't know. It's been so long, I don't know."

"You should probably talk with her about it." Yuri suggested.

"Maybe." Yusaku nodded. "I can see her later today."

"Just remember to be honest." Celina said to him.

"I remember." Yusaku nodded. "Thanks."

"Well eat your breakfast before it grows cold." Celina smiled to him.

Yusaku nodded at that starting to eat.

Later...

"Ai will see you later!" Ai waved from Yusaku's Duel Disk to the Fujikis, and Roboppi as he walked out closing the door.

"Quiet, I need to think." Yusaku told him.

"Mean." Ai pouted retreating back in Yusaku's Duel Disk.

Yusaku frowned as he walked towards the Zaizen household. After arriving he knocked on the door. He waited a few seconds before who opened the door was the robot Zaizen butler.

"Excuse me, is Skye available?" Yusaku asked calmly.

"Miss Zaizen is in the Living Room." the butler answered allowing Yusaku to go in.

Yusaku nodded walking in and to the living room. "Skye?"

Skye looked over, and smiled, "Hi Yusaku."

Seeing her smile Yusaku took a slow breath. "Can we talk... about what you said?"

"Sure. Have a seat." Skye offered a seat beside her.

Yusaku nodded sitting next to her. "Well, last night when I walked you home..."

"I told you, I love you?" Skye cuts him off asking him that.

Caught off guard Yusaku just nodded after a moment. "Yeah, but... how can you say that when you don't know anything about me?"

Skye looked down blushing, "Well honestly... there is so much I liked about you... It just slipped without me thinking."

Hearing that Yusaku closed his eyes before gently embracing her.

"Ah." Skye gasped when she felt him embracing her.

"Why me over anyone else?" he asked softly.

Skye looked at him before she closed her eyes, "Your someone who is different from the rest of our classmates."

"That isn't surprising considering none of them went through the incident." Yusaku admitted. "But is that it? You feel sorry for me?"

Skye shook her head, "You don't see me as 'Akira Zaizen's sister', or someone who can get you a job at SOL Technologies." She then smiled, "You just see me as someone else other then that, and you never turn your back on anyone who helps you, willing to risk your life for anyone. Your also really skilled, talented, and even with the Hanoi Project, you haven't backed down from anything. Those are some of the reasons why..." she gulped before finishing, "I love you."

Since he was hugging her Skye could feel Yusaku's breath catch in his throat hearing that. Skye slowly hugged him back at this closing her eyes. Yusaku pulled back before gently kissing her. Skye jumped a little from the sudden kiss before kissing him back softly shedding tears. After a moment he pulled back. "Do you mind if I sit with you for a while?"

She nodded leaning close to him, "Yes."

Yusaku gently wrapped an arm around her as he closed his eyes.

Meanwhile at the Kogami household...

Ryoken was at the kitchen table working on a laptop. Soon he heard footsteps walking into the kitchen. He looked over hearing that. He looked over hearing that.

"Good morning to you. How did you sleep?" Ryoken asked her.

"Really well." Lilly admitted noticing the computer. "Is that, Hanoi related?"

Ryoken turned back typing, "Forming some new defense measures against the Ignis."

Lilly nodded. "I meant what I said before though, about when this is all over."

Ryoken looked over to her hearing that.

"When this is all over, when we stop King... you and the others could really make Den City and Link Vrains a better place." Lilly reminded him.

"I know. I am just thinking if that can be possible with everything the Knights of Hanoi had done in the past." Ryoken said to her, "Once we take care of the Ignis whatever happens next is no value for us as we are only formed to destroy the Ignis."

Lilly frowned before taking Ryoken's laptop and shutting it. "That's not true and we both know that."

Ryoken turned to her seeing that.

"The Knights of Hanoi were formed to make amends for the Lost Incident, and to keep humanity safe right?" Lilly asked. "The Ignis... I don't know what's going to happen, if they're like Ai or the WATER Ignis then maybe there is a way to coexist but I'm not sure... either way, when it's over you all can help Sota and his friends make a better SOL Technologies."

She then paused and looked down with a blush.

"And... we can spend more time together?"

Ryoken only stood up before asking, "You sure the Ignis have a chance of co-existing even if what you seen in the simulations?"

She frowned. "I don't know."

"If you think there is a way then I'll not stop you from finding one." Ryoken told her.

"Well, the first step would be to find them and we can't do that until Roget is stopped." Lilly admitted before sighing. "What am I doing?"

"You can assist me in codes." Ryoken said to her.

"I'm not exactly a hacker, but that's not what I meant." Lilly admitted. "I'm... falling in love."

"Well we been through that together yesterday." Ryoken said to her, "Maybe to keep our skills sharp, and we haven't exactly went into a solo match yet..." He holds up his Deck as he said that.

Lilly couldn't help but smirk. "If you think you can hold your own against me."

"Then I urge you not to hold back." Ryoken told her as he puts his laptop away offering a seat across from him.

Lilly smiled taking the seat.

"From what Sachi told me you by yourself are full of surprises." Ryoken said to her shuffling his Deck.

"That's true." Lilly smiled.

Meanwhile in Link VRAINS...

Someone was flying through Link VRAINS on a board. It was Dennis in the appearance of a purple mask, and purple performer outfit by the name of Magus in Link VRAINS through his mask persona when he was dueling against Gong in the Synchro Dimension to earn some money. It started as a story about Gong being the bad guy without his knowledge or permission but later shifted into Dennis being the main bad guy instead but that's a story for later cause now he's using the mask to stop Roget.

Looking down Magus noticed several Ancient Gear Soldiers. "That must be where they are."

He landed in front of them. "Oh Roget, can you hear me?"

The Soldiers turned over seeing him as he then heard Roget's voice, "Dennis McField. This is a surprise, I thought the Lancers would've expelled you long ago after your true colors we're revealed."

"You'd be surprised what happens when your brain is stuck in a computer while the rest of us live our lives." Magus shrugged. "That aside, which of your Ancient Gear Soldiers gets to duel me?"

"The same one that defeated your comrade here. The Hell Deck is something you can't stop even with your Performages."

One Soldier walked over.

"Hell Deck, sounds dangerous. You won't mind letting little old me have the first move for old times sake right?" Magus inquired. "We were allies at one point after all."

"That's in the past now, but please make way for the future." Roget answered giving Magus the green light.

"I appreciate that." Magus mentioned activating his Duel Disk as the Ancient Gear Soldier did the same thing.

Monster Effect: If this card on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Performage" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Performage Plushfire".

"You should know Pendulum is useless thanks to the new rules." Roget smirked.

"I wouldn't call it useless, just watch as I Pendulum Summon Performage Damage Juggler and Performage Hat Tricker!" Magus grinned as the two monsters appeared.

(Attack Position)

Performage Damage Juggler

LIGHT

Level 4

Spellcaster/Effect

ATK: 1500

DEF: 1000

When a card or effect is activated that would inflict damage to you (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. During the Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; reduce the next battle damage you would take this turn to 0. You can banish this card from your GY; add 1 "Performage" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Performage Damage Juggler". You can only use this effect of "Performage Damage Juggler" once per turn.

(Attack Position)

Performage Hat Tricker

If 2 or more monsters are on the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When a card or effect is activated that would inflict damage to you (Quick Effect): You can place 1 Performage Counter on this card (max. 3), then make that effect damage to you 0. When the 3rd Performage Counter is placed on this card, its ATK/DEF become 3300.

The two performing monsters rose up readying with grins while the Soldier watches on in silence.

"Now for my next trick I'll Overlay my two level four monsters." Magus grinned as the two Performages flew up into the Overlay Network. "Show must go on! Artisan of the air, swing across the stage with grace! Xyz Summon! Appear now! Rank 4! Performage Trapeze Magician!"

(Attack Position)

(Extra Monster Zone)

Performage Trapeze Magician

Once per turn, during either player's Main Phase 1: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up Attack Position monster the turn player controls (other than this card); it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn, also destroy it at the end of the Battle Phase. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, or if this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent to your Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Performage" monster from the Deck.

(ORU: 2)

"I'll end with the spell Bubble Barrier."

(face-up)

Bubble Barrier

Continuous Spell Card

Each "Performapal" and "Performage" monster you control cannot be destroyed by battle or card effect once per turn. You take no battle damage from attacks involving "Performapal" and "Performage" monsters you control.

Magus's Hand: 0/Field: Performage Trapeze Magician (Attack Position/ORU: 2), Bubble Barrier (face-up)

Ancient Gear Soldier 1st Turn:

The Soldier drew looking before summoning Hellhound that growled.

(Attack Position)

Hellhound

DARK

Level 3

Beast/Effect

ATK: 600

DEF: 200

(This card is always treated has a "Hell" card)
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned while you control no other monsters: You can Special Summon up to 2 "Hellhounds" from your Deck or GY to your field in Attack Position. During the Main Phase, you can activate this effect: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each "Hell" monster you control. At the start of the Battle Phase, if you have "Gates of Hell" on the field while this card is face-up: You can activate this effect; monsters your opponent controls lose 300 ATK for every "Hell" monster you control. You can only activate each effect of "Hellhound" once per turn.

"Oh, how scary." Magus chuckled.

The Soldier swiped it's arm as the hound glowed before two more Hounds popped up beside it.

Hellhound: (Attack Position) x2

It raised it's arm as the Link Portal appeared as the middle hound flew up entering the arrow where Hellspawn lowered down cackling evily.

(Attack Position)

Hellspawn

1 Level 4 or lower "Hell" monster
(This card is always treated has a "Hell" card.)
When this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 "Gates of Hell" from your Deck to your hand. When a player takes damage from a "Hell" card: You can Special Summon 1 "Hell Token" (DARK/Fiend/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your field in Defense Position. "Hell Tokens" cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card is destroyed: You can Tribute 1 monster your opponent controls; Special Summon 1 "Hell" monster from your hand. You can only activate each effect of "Hell Spawn" once per turn.

"Link Summoning, interesting." Magus noted.

A card slipped as the Soldier takes the card showing it's Gates of Hell. Magus nodded at that. "I think I see what you're up to."

The Soldier activates the field spell as Magus turned around seeing the gate behind him.

(Field Zone)

Gates of Hell

Field Spell Card

When this card is activated: Add 1 "Hell" card from your Deck to your hand. All monsters except "Hell" monsters on the field lose 1000 ATK. If a monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the GY: You can inflict 100 damage to the controller of the destroyed monster equal to it's Level/Rank x 100. If this card should be destroyed by a card effect: You can discard 1 card instead, then if that discarded card was a "Hell" card; Special Summon 1 "Hell Token" (DARK/Fiend/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position. "Hell Tokens" cannot be destroyed by battle.

As the gate appeared Trapeze Magician frowned.

Performage Trapeze Magician: (ATK: 2500 - 1000 = 1500)

Meanwhile outside...

Everyone was viewing from a large screen which Sota frowned seeing this, "Gates of Hell is always a powerful card even without it's 1000 point reduction effect. Now Dennis will take damage that's more then 1600."

"True, but that's still more than the Hell Deck can pull off." Shay mentioned.

They watch as the Soldier added a card before then using a spell.

Hell's Calling

Normal Spell Card

Target 1 "Hell" monster in the GY or that has been banished: Special Summon it, then if you control "Gates of Hell" face-up: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent equal to the number of cards in their hand. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card is sent to the GY, you can banish this card from your GY: Add 1 "Hell" card from your Deck to your hand except, "Hell's Calling". You can only control 1 "Hell's Calling" once per turn.

From there the Hellhound it linked away rose up again.

Hellhound: (Attack Position)

But since Magus has no cards in his hand Hell's Calling's effect to deal damage doesn't take effect which meant the Soldier is still in the dark about Trapeze Magician's effect.

"Is that all?" Magus asked.

The Soldier raised an arm as the Fusion Vortex appeared which all three Hounds flew up fusing together before Cerberus stomped in yowling.

(Attack Position)

Hell Cerberus

DARK

Level 6

Beast/Effect/Fusion

ATK: 2500

DEF: 1200

"Hellhound" + "Hellhound" + "Hellhound"
Must be either Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned by Tributing the above cards you control (in which case you do not use "Polymerization"). When this card is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: Inflict 1500 damage to your opponent. When a card or effect that targets this card is activated: You can return this card to the Extra Deck then Special Summon 3 "Hellhounds" from your GY in Defense Position. You can only activate each effect of "Hell Cerberus" once per turn.

The Cerberus charged a large blast in it's mouths before firing at Magus.

"Close, but not close enough. Performage Trapeze Magician negates all damage that's less than his attack points." Magus mentioned as his monster kicked the blast away.

The blast went off at a direction exploding on contact before the Soldier points as Hell Cerberus roared charging at Trapeze Magician.

"Bubble Barrier prevents my Performage monsters from being destroyed and I don't take any damage." Magus revealed.

Cerberus shot down it's heads to snap at Trapeze Magician which it swung away laughing around.

"So with Trapeze Magician he can stop the Deck's attempts at effect damage, and with the spell stopping battle damage..." Akira trailed off realizing this.

"It stops the Deck's attempts at dealing damage as long as Trapeze Magician's in play." Emma finished seeing this.

"That's why Dennis was the best opponent for that deck." Celina smiled. "And there's more, just wait until his next turn."

"Hopefully, assuming the Soldier doesn't have the cards it think it has." Sota admitted to them.

"What cards?" Lulu asked him.

"Well first is Hellspawn's last effect. If it's destroyed, it can Tribute one of the opponent's monsters to summon a Hell monster from the hand." Sota explained the first problem card.

"That's annoying." Yuri frowned.

"Next is a Continuous Trap Duo, that work well together. Unholy Chains, and Unfortunate Demise." Sota explained next before going over the cards, "Unholy Chains can make a monster unable to attack while discarding a Hell card to set itself to spring it on another monster the same turn with the added benefit Unfortunate Demise on the field can deal 300 points of damage."

With Unholy Chain's effect done he next covers the second trap. "Next, Unfortunate Demise, which when an attack is negated allowing it to destroy a monster, and deal damage equal to it's attack points, but also if Unholy Chains is activated, and successfully prevents a monster from attacking, it's second effect destroys it, and can deal half there attack points to the player that controls it."

"A powerful combo." Sora admitted.

"And last is Hell Cage. By paying 1000 points you can equip it to a monster where it's attack points become 0, and it's effects are negated. Then if it's sent to the graveyard while Gates is Hell is on the field, the player can pay 500 points to add it back to there hand." Sota finished.

"That deck didn't win, it came in third?" Yugo asked in shock.

"The Hell Deck maybe powerful but the Tentaclusters had it beat in ways you wouldn't believe." Sota explained before then saying, "SOL is planning to use it for enforcement by the Pawn Drones for SOL Tech's rule here."

"That won't happen." Yuri mentioned calmly.

They looked back as they watched.

Back in Link VRAINS...

The Solider sets 2 cards ending it's turn.

Ancient Gear Soldier's Hand: 3/Field: Gates of Hell (Field Zone), Hellspawn (Extra Monster Zone/Attack Position), Hell Cerberus (Attack Position), Two Set Cards

Magus: 4000

Hand: 0

Field: Performage Trapeze Magician (Attack Position/ATK: 1500/ORU: 2), Bubble Barrier (face-up)

Ancient Gear Soldier: 4000

Hand: 3

Field: Gates of Hell (Field Zone), Hellspawn (Extra Monster Zone/Attack Position), Hell Cerberus (Attack Position), Two Set Cards

Magus 2nd Turn:

Magus drew his card. "Well what do you know, I drew Performage Trick Clown so I'll go ahead and summon it."

(Attack Position)

Performage Trick Clown

Level 4

Spellcaster/Effect

ATK: 1600

DEF: 1200

If this card is sent to the GY: You can target 1 "Performage" monster in your GY; Special Summon it, but its ATK/DEF become 0, then you take 1000 damage. You can only use this effect of "Performage Trick Clown" once per turn.

"Now with that done, I'll use the Pendulum Ability of Performage Mirror Conductor to make your Cerberus's attack points become the same as its defense points."

Mirror Conduction aimed at Cerberus which Ancient Gear Soldier raised an arm as Cerberus split into three Hellhounds.

Hellhound: (Attack Position) x 3

"What?" Magus questioned while Trick Clown lowered weakened.

Performage Trick Clown: (ATK: 1600 - 1000 = 600)

"Did you forgotten about Shay's earlier duel? Whenever Hell Cerberus is targeted for an effect it can cancel it's fusion to avoid it." Roget smirked to Magus.

"I remember, but now I can attack two of your Hellhounds and thanks to Bubble Barrier Trick Clown won't be destroyed." Magus pointed out.

"Go ahead, and try if you dare." Roget smirked to him.

Trick Clown charged in tackling a Hellhound destroying it with Trick Clown not destroyed.

"Now Trapeze Magician attacks a second Hellhound." Magus continued.

Trapeze Magician charged over only for the Soldier to activate it's face-downs.

(face-up)

Unholy Chains

Continuous Trap Card

Activate this card by targeting 1 Monster your opponent controls: That face-up monster cannot attack. You can discard 1 "Hell" card: Set this face-up card, and if you do, it can be activated this turn. If you control 1 "Unfortunate Demise" face-up: You can inflict 300 damage to your opponent when this card activates. You can only control 1 "Unholy Chains".

(face-up)

Unfortunate Demise

Continuous Trap Card

When a monster's attack is negated: Target that monster, destroy that target, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the original ATK of that monster destroyed by this effect. During the Battle Phase, if you control "Unholy Chain" that activated targeting a monster, and that monster cannot attack: You can destroy that monster, then inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of that monster. You can only control 1 "Unfortunate Demise".

Chains shot forth at Trapeze Magician.

"What?" Magus questioned seeing the traps.

Trapeze Magician was trapped before the Soldier directed it's arm to Unfortunate Demise which shot a blast at Trapeze Magician.

"Bubble Barrier protects Trapeze Magician!" Magus called.

The trap's effect fails to destroy Trapeze Magician at that.

"Looks to me like we're at a stand-off Roget." Magus mentioned.

"For now but the Soldier will break through your formation." Roget said to him.

"Or I could break his." Magus mentioned ending his turn.

Magus's Hand: 0/Field: Performage Trapeze Magician (Attack Position/ATK: 1500/ORU: 2/Unholy Chains), Performage Trick Clown (Attack Position/ATK: 600), Bubble Barrier (face-up)

Ancient Gear Soldier 2nd Turn:

The Soldier drew looking at his drawn card. Magus watched with a frown. 'So far I'm safe but we're clearly stuck.'

The Soldier raised it's arm as the two Hellhounds glowed flying in the Overlay Network.

"Xyz." Magus frowned.

What lowered down was the Gargoyle.

The Soldier then points as Hellspawn cackled charging at Trick Clown.

"Bubble Barrier protects my monster and my life points." Magus pointed out.

He sees Hellspawn doesn't have any attack points.

"Wait, what's the point of that move?" he questioned.

Trick Clown jumped up kicking Hellspawn destroying it. (Ancient Gear Soldier: 3400/Hand: 4)

Suddenly Hellspawn jumped from the graveyard grabbing Trapeze Magician's feet pulling it down with him.

"What?" Magus cried in shock seeing that.

"Whenever Hellspawn is destroyed, it can Tribute a monster on your field to summon a new Hell creature from the hand." Roget explained with a smirk.

Magus looked stunned hearing that. The Soldier raised a card as what rose was a large dragon roaring.

(Attack Position)

Hell Dragon Abeloth

DARK

Level 8

Dragon/Effect

ATK: 2800

DEF: 1600

If your opponent controls more monsters, and if you have a "Hell" monster on the field: You can Special Summon this card from your hand then take 500 damage. You can send 1 "Hell" card from your hand to the GY: Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can pay 800 LP to Special Summon this card from the GY, and if you do, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. During the Draw Phase, if you have "Gates of Hell" on the field while this card is face-up: You can activate this effect; add 1 "Hell" Card from your Deck to your Hand instead of conducting your normal draw. You can only activate each effect of "Hell Dragon Abeloth" once per turn.

Outside...

Sota grunted, "That's the ace card of the Hell Deck."

"I can see why." Yuri frowned.

"Hell Dragon Abeloth. It's a monster that can discard a Hell card to destroy a monster, or if sent to the graveyard it can pay 800 points to summon itself back while dealing 500 points." Akira explained it's power to them, "Then every Draw Phase, it can ignore the draw in order to add a Hell card every turn."

"Then… Dennis is going to lose too." Lulu frowned.

"It's too early now. I still think Dennis has a chance." Sota said to them.

"We'll see." Shay mentioned.

Back in Link VRAINS...

With the Soldier still in it's battle phase it points to Trick Clown as Abeloth started off firing a fire blast at Trick Clown.

Abeloth's attack connected but Bubble Barrier stopped the destruction just as Gargoyle charged in striking Trick Clown destroying it but due to Bubble Barrier's effect Magus took no damage. His graveyard glowed which he said, "Sorry but with Trick Clown destroyed a Performage comes back from the graveyard without any points but I take 1000 points of damage!"

"That's a risky move." Akira frowned.

Trapeze Magician popped back laughing.

Performage Trapeze Magician: (ATK: 2500 - 2500 = 0/DEF: 2000 - 2000 = 0)

Magus grunted as the damage effect got to him. (Magus: 3000/Hand: 0)

"That monster won't help you now." Roget smirked.

The Soldier looked at it's hand before it activates a card.

(Equipped to Performage Trapeze Magician)

Hell Cage

Equip Spell Card

Pay 1000 LP to activate this card. Equip this card to 1 monster on the field. The monster targeted cannot activate it's effects in response to this card's activation. The equipped monster's ATK becomes 0, also it's effects are negated. If this card is sent to the GY while you control a "Gates of Hell" at the Field Zone: You can pay 500 LP; add this card to your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Hell Cage" once per turn.

(Ancient Gear Soldier: 2400/Hand: 2)

A cage popped up on Trapeze Magician.

Performage Trapeze Magician: (Equipped with Hell Cage/Effects Negated)

"What now?" Magus asked seeing this.

Yuya frowned seeing that.

"Hell Cage puts a stop to your monster's abilities." Roget smirked at this as the Soldier ends his turn.

Ancient Gear Soldier's Hand: 2/Field: Gates of Hell (Field Zone), Hell Dragon Abeloth (Attack Position), Hell Gargoyle (Attack Position/ORU: 2), Hell Cage (Equipped to Performage Trapeze Magician), Unholy Chains (face-up), Unfortunate Demise (face-up)

Magus: 3000

Hand: 0

Field: Performage Trapeze Magician (Attack Position/ATK: 0/DEF: 0/Effects Negated/Equipped with Hell Cage), Bubble Barrier (face-up)

Ancient Gear Soldier: 2400

Magus 3rd Turn:

"My turn draw!" Magus drew looking before showing a card, "And I use Pot of Greed!"

Pot of Greed

Normal Spell Card

Draw 2 Cards.

"Thanks to this I can draw 2 more cards." Magus said drawing two cards.

Magus turned looking at them, and then grins.

"Alright battle!"

Roget was surprised at Magus' declaration before noticing the Soldier, "Wait, not yet you fool!"

The Soldier activates Unholy Chain's effect discarding a card before pointing at Trapeze Magician trapping it from attacking to where even if Unfortunate Demise's effect won't work on it, it still prevents Trapeze Magician from attacking.

Unholy Chains: (Performage Trapeze Magician)

"Huh, why do that now?" Sora questioned.

Magus grinned at this, "Just like I thought Roget. You may have created these soldiers, and given them powerful decks... but despite that there still AI, and you know one thing about repeatative AIs like these? There easily predictable!"

"What?" Roget questioned.

"And now with Unholy Chain's effect used up I can use these two! Cosmic Cyclone!"

Cosmic Cyclone

Quick-Play Spell Card

Pay 1000 LP, then target 1 Spell/Trap on the field; banish it.

"By paying 1000 points the Field Spell is banished!"

(Magus: 2000/Hand: 1)

A cyclone swirled around before Gates of Hell was forcibly removed which Sota widen his eyes, "Of course! Gates of Hell, and Hell Gargoyle each can only stop effects that DESTROYS a card but not against BANISHING!"

"Then next I use Rank-Up-Magic Magical Force!" Magus added.

Rank-Up-Magic Magical Force

Quick-Play Spell Card

Activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 1 Spellcaster Xyz Monster you control that has material: Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 Spellcaster Xyz Monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster, by using it as the material, and if you do, it gains 1000 ATK. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to it also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.)
● Target 1 Xyz Monster in your GY that was destroyed by battle and sent there this turn; Special Summon it, but it has its effects negated (if any), then Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 Spellcaster Xyz Monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster, by using it as the Xyz Material, and if you do, attach this card to it as additional Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon.)
You can only activate 1 "Rank-Up-Magic Magical Force" once per turn.

Seeing that Shay and Lulu both smiled.

"So now Trapeze Magician evolves by 1 rank!"

Trapeze Magician broke free from Hell Cage flying up, and entering the Overlay Network.

"Show must go on! Oh magician of the sky, more magnificently, more vividly, run across the even greater stage! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Appear now! Rank 5! Performage Trapeze High Magician!"

At that the Overlay Network shattered before revealing what seemed like a larger, and more detailed version of Trapeze Magician who's hat is connected on the Trapeze with two glowing orbs in his hands.

(Attack Position)

Performage Trapeze High Magician

Rank 5

Spellcaster/Effect/Xyz

ATK: 2700

DEF: 2500

You never take damage if the amount is less than or equal to this card's ATK. Once per turn, during either player's Main Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effect this turn. If this card has "Performage Trapeze Magician" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; it can make a second and third attack during each Battle Phase this turn, but it cannot attack directly, this turn.

(ORU: 1)

"That won't help you, Gates of Hell is still in play." Roget reminded him.

"I just banished it you know." Magus reminded.

Roget growled hearing that.

"Well next Magical Force gives my new monster 1000 points!" Magus called as his new Xyz grew stronger.

Trapeze High Magician: (ATK: 2700 + 1000 = 3700)

"Then finally I use it's ability!" Trapeze High Magician takes it's only Unit. (ORU: 1 - 0) "By using an Overlay Unit it can make not 1, not 2, but 3 attacks but it can't attack directly when used!"

Trapeze High Magician: (Can attack three times this turn)

"Three attacks with 3700 attack points!" Roget cried in disbelief.

"And now Trapeze High Magician attack that dragon!"

Trapeze High Magician jumped up kicking Abeloth destroying it. (Ancient Gear Soldier: 1500/Hand: 1) Then Soldier then raised it's arm glowing. (Ancient Gear Soldier: 0700/Hand: 1) Before Abeloth popped back up, and fired a fireball at Magus which Trapeze High Magician blocked.

Hell Dragon Abeloth: (Attack Position)

"Now High Magician finish them off!" High Magician laughed jumping swinging kicking both Hell monsters destroying them, and the soldier.

Magus: 2000

Hand: 0

Field: Performage Trapeze High Magician (Attack Position/ATK: 3700), Bubble Barrier (face-up)

Ancient Gear Soldier: 0000

Hand: 1

Field: Unholy Chains (face-up), Unfortunate Demise (face-up)

Magus wins!

"He did it, somehow." Celina sighed in relief.

Magus grinned before looking up, "Alright Roget, how long are you gonna hide behind these Soldiers of yours?"

"This is far from over." Roget frowned. "I have plenty more where that came from."

At that Magus was logged out.

Dennis opened his eyes sitting up removing his head set, "Well that wasn't too bad."

"This time, but he probably has more decks from SOL Technologies little contest, not to mention if he tries using our decks against us." Yuto pointed out.

"I know all the Decks that are used." Sota said to them, "Any Deck he uses I can tell you about."

"Well, to be honest maybe it's a good thing this is taking a while." Celina admitted.

"Why's that?" Emma asked confused.

"I think this time away from Link Vrains is good for Yusaku and Lilly." she explained.

"Celina has a point, actually that reminds me of something if you don't mind me asking Sota. Don't your parents know your memories are back considering what happened in the data bank?" Yuri inquired.

Sota shook his head, "No, they aren't aware of that for now."

Yuri nodded hearing that.

"Well, in that case I'll head in next." Sora mentioned. "You guys don't mind do you?"

"No Sora. You just be careful in there." Yuya said to him, "Actually you use some company."

"Why not, it'll be like old times." Sora smiled.

Ulrich362: Well... the Hell Deck was somehow taken down.

bopdog111: Thanks again to Kazuki for giving us the Deck.

Ulrich362: True, and if anyone else wants to submit a deck feel free.

bopdog111: So who's Deck will be in next?

Ulrich362: We'll have to wait and see, see you in the next chapter.

bopdog111: Be sure to review!
