bopdog111: Well we had told you all about a certain story we believe is what is connected to Link VRAINS in canon which is the World Legacy Storyline. Now it is time to explain it all to you.
Ulrich362: True, this is going to be quite the chapter... and it just might have quite the reveal as well. Enjoy the chapter.

After everyone had met up the day after, and now had been explained about some useful information by Sota as repayment for aiding them against Roget they all worked to gather up to listen into the story. They all met up at the Kogami Residence to listen into the story, and Sota had gotten something from SOL Technologies to help explain the story after getting some slides.
Now everyone the Lancers, Gore, Kenneth, Akira, Misaki, Emma, Risa, Yusaku, Skye, Lilly, Ai, the female Ignis, Cal, Jin (who Cal has permission to bring along since it concerns him too somewhat), and the Knights of Hanoi all gathered in the large room where Sota has had a holographic projector set up to explain the story over to them. Soon after he makes sure it's on, and fully functional he gave a smile turning over to them, "Well everyone, the projector's all ready for the story to be explained. Your gonna see a few cards but that's because the whole story is shown, and hinted from all the cards you will all see. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask anything."
They all nodded only for Yusaku to blink. "Lilly, why are you sitting with the Knights of Hanoi?"
Hearing that they looked over which Ryoken turned his eyes over to him, "She has a reason to fight alongside us Playmaker."
He blinked before nodding though he had a look like he'd want to talk with her later.
"Alright so what exactly is this story?" Gore asked Sota.
"Well first to start off it's mostly referred too as the World Legacy Storyline. But it's true full name is known as 'The Endlessly Repeating Tale of the Rise and Fall of a Certain World'." Sota explained as he turned on the projector. "A story of a quest that shows of three humans along with a pet dragon in a battle of the ages that will decide the fate of the planet against a great darkness. The World Legacies played a large role into this."
(Cue Theme: Remembrances)
The holographic screen (after the lights were darkened a bit so they can see) it hums, and powers up before showing an image of some cards. The "World Legacy" cards all 8 of them in view for them all to see.
"Wait, isn't that the card your dad gave you?" Yugo asked recognizing the World Key.
"Yes. It is the newest "World Legacy" created by some of the data of the others. It is also the newest World Legacy created at the end of the story." Sota confirmed with a nod to him.
Yuya frowned hearing that only for Sota to close his eyes.
"Before we continue I have to ask you all something, do you believe Den City is the pinnacle of mankind's technological and scientific potential?" he asked. "That Link VRAINS is the greatest accomplishment we've ever achieved?"
They all blinked as they looked at each other before Steve asked Sota, "Isn't it? Link VRAINS is a big virtual reality network, and the Ignis were created alongside it. You mean to tell us it's not?"
"Far from it, you see long before any of us were alive mankind was far more advanced than we are now... it was a true golden age for our planet... until she appeared and plunged everything into chaos."
"What do you mean, who appeared?" Zuzu asked thinking this sounded a little like Zarc.
"Her name... was Lee." Sota answered frowning.
"To start let us go to the beginning ages into it."
Sota moved a slide as he turned over to the holographic screen, "It starts with the creation of powerful mechanical monsters in a part of the story known as 'The Disaster that Ended the Golden Age of the Ancient Civilization'." The screen shows a card called "World Legacy's Memory" where scientists were in front of holographic screens seeming to be creating something deep.
"You see this here?" Sota pointed over to a woman in the card in a scientist coat with long blue hair, "She is Lee, in her original, and human form. It was here that a 'key' became unearthed. A key with the power to call forth and control the powers of creation and destruction. Humanity at first were excited from it being found but realized that the clash between the World Hero, and the Great Darkness actually happened, and decided to research into it. Lee at the time was a popular leading authority of computer science. She was a great scientist as with her aid, the research had taken great leaps to study. However no-one was aware of her hypothesis that is filled by her ambitions."
Sota then said the hypothesis towards them, "One can obtain the power of God."
"The power of god?" Yuya repeated before blinking. "Wait, her human form?"
"I have a feeling that will make sense as we listen to this tale." Steve noted calmly.
"At this time from the research onto the key, the team named itself known as Crusadia. They began a project known as 'Project Mekk-Knight', a machine soldier development project, was advocated as a measure to deal with the coming threat to the world." Sota explained more as he advanced the slide where it shows of 9 monster cards all in different colors as Psychic Monsters while one Link Monster was a machine, and another Link Monster was a Cyberse monster. "The Deck of Lancelot Knight one of the Knights of the Inner Circle, and the archetype of the World Legacy; the "World Shield"."
"Though I'm guessing Lee sabotaged this project in some way?" Ryoken inquired.
Sota moved a slide as it shows of a single card the Machine Mekk-Knight Link monster, "Mekk-Knight of the Morning Star", "To make things clear the ultimate weapon created by using the key as the core, Mekk-Knight of the Morning Star, was complete. However when Crusadia attempted to power it up, the energy from the key caused the stars to invert flowing into the Earth's core, becoming unstable enough to shatter the Earth's crust which allowed the powers of destruction to leak out, and scorched it black."
He then frowned more from this, "That was planned by Lee, the power of the key is too dangerous to be harnessed, she knew that, but she kept the project afloat. From that the Great Darkness was about to return however right before the other Mekk-Knights had been activated, and destroyed Morning Star, and sealed away the Great Darkness. Despite the victory in hand that saved the world the damage done from Lee's actions had severely damaged Earth, being incapable of sustaining and supporting the human race. She died during the chaos. Crusadia then came to the conclusion that the Star Hero as foretold who can control the power of the 'Key' didn't appear in that era was a result of the Earth growing weaker, and they shifted there focus on restoring the Earth's health, and fostering life to spread and diversify. To do this they ordered a command to the Mekk-Knights using brain waves that there mission to restore Earth included to suppress human civilization."
Everyone looked shocked hearing that.
"Suppress... you mean kill people?" Lilly asked in horror.
"That, all because of Lee." Skye frowned. "How can one person be so heartless?"
"I wish I could answer that." Yusaku frowned.
Everyone looked shocked hearing that.

"That, all because of Lee." Skye frowned. "How can one person be so heartless?"
"I wish I could answer that." Yusaku frowned.
"That's not the worst of it." Sota frowned at that looking at them. "Fragments of the Great Darkness remained on the surface of Earth, and they had taken the form of Star Relics. They came to be known as we know today as the World Legacies. "The World Wand", "The World Armor", "The World Lance", "The World Shield", "The World Ark", "The World Crown", and "The World Chalice"."
As he said the names he pressed buttons which shows of the different World Legacies in different slides ending with the World Chalice.
"Why am I not surprised the Inner Circle is utilizing fragments of this Great Darkness in their decks?" Ryoken frowned. "Still, you mentioned that what we saw was Lee's human form earlier. If she died are we to assume she became a spirit of some kind after death?"
"Indeed." Sota nodded before he explained to them, "Even though Lee had been killed in the conflict, Crusadia haven't realized that her soul had survived. She floated, and found one of the World Legacies known as the World Chalice."
He directed over to the World Legacy on the screen, "She had transferred her soul onto it where it follows her will, and ambitions. She was reborn." He pressed a button as a slide of a monster card that shows a small glowing blue skinned fairy with darker blue hair with a braid on the left side of her face while wearing a dress. "As Lee the World Chalice Fairy."
"She looks so innocent." Yugo admitted.
"Maybe, but appearances can be deceiving. She already nearly destroyed the world once and who knows what she might do if she got a second chance." Yuri frowned.
"Well that came."
Sota moved a slide where it shows of what seems like a monologue.
"It starts with a monologue at the start of the story to where it shows of two boys, a girl, and a dragon all band together to participate in a great battle. The monologue is as read:"
The Creation Myth Passed Down by the Celestial Forest
In days of long ago, there was a God who governed the movements of the heavens.
That God used the dragons as its vassals,
To fulfill their duty of maintaining the heavens in a cycle of creation and destruction.
However, the power of destruction grew each time it was used,
And eventually, the balance of power between creation and destruction had collapsed.
The power of destruction had become so great,
That if it was let loose, it would have certainly destroyed the very heavens it was created to protect.
God decided it was impossible to govern the heavens by themselves.
Using the power of creation, a cage was forged, made of countless layers of the earthen crust,
And the power of destruction was sealed within.
The power of destruction, having lost its way, burned up, transforming into the planet's core.
Its energy blended together with the power of creation coursing throughout the land,
And the energy that flowed forth to the surface of the earth,
Giving rise to life, small existences that repeat the cycle of life and death.
God turned the last vestiges of their being into a 'Key',
Entrusting it to the life that had sprouted across the earth, and disappeared.
Over the countless years to follow, the power of destruction sometimes manifested itself on the surface,
But each time, those small lives stood side-by-side with the dragons.
In time, the 'Key' came to be known as a sword, while the power of destruction came to be known as the 'Great Darkness',
And their story was passed down as the gallant epic of the 'World Hero'.
"Starlight Hero, Raise Your Sword and Gather the Light, You Must Vanquish the Great Darkness"
"That... so that's the story that humanity thought the World Key was connected to, and the one that started Lee's ambition." Alec frowned.
"It's not really the same key your thinking of." Sota admitted over to him. "You'll see here as we go on. Now we're onto the beginning. It starts in a forest known as the Celestial Forest where a boy named Auram," he pressed a slide as it shows of four cards three normal monsters, and 1 effect monster he pointed to a young teenage boy with short blonde hair having goggles on his head like Yuya wearing yellow armor with white clothes underneath while having on torn pants with gauntlet bracers, and holding a sword, "Also known as Chosen by the World Chalice."
"Then next, Ib," he shows another card as a young teenager girl with long purple hair with a small braid wearing a white priestess uniform with a purple, and yellow skirt wearing purple armored boots, and holding what seemed like a blue staff that has a key like appearance at the botton. "known mostly as Crowned by the World Chalice."
He then pointed to another card. "And next her older brother, Ningirsu." It was an older boy having spiky short purple hair with a cloak, and scarfs around his form with some armor underneath goggles around his neck, and holding a large yellow spear. "Known more commonly as Beckoned by the World Chalice. And finally..."
He then gestured to the effect monster card which was a small green dragon cub with slight horns on his head chewing on a orb. "Is Imduk, there pet dragon otherwise known as World Chalice Guardragon all lived together in a small village."
"Why do I have a bad feeling about these four?" Emma frowned.
"Because these four are the main characters in this story. It started off by thousands of years where the Mekk-Knights stand on top suppressing humanity for the Earth to recover it's strength from Lee's actions." Sota explained over before then saying, "The Mekk-Knights are opposed by an opposing force at the time a prevalent scourge across the land which makes humanity hard to live in peace. They are the Deck of Mother, Queen, and the archetype of the World Armor."
He pressed a button as it shows of mechanical insect monsters.
"The Krawlers." Sota said the name of the Deck.
"Creepy things." Lulu frowned seeing them.
"We will get to them in time. For now we turn our attention to Auram, Ib, Ningirsu, and Imduk." He pressed a button as a slide shows of a Field Spell known as "World Legacy Discovery" where it shows of the four finding something hidden in the forest. Upon closer glance everyone can see what it was is the World Chalice.
"The one Lee's soul bonded to after her death." Yusaku frowned.
"The village where the four lived worshipped the God of the Stars, and had a sacred staff used in their rites and customs that had been passed down through countless generations, creating a barrier that protected the village from threats with its power." Sota explained further before pointing to Ib in the Field Spell, "Ib is the current successor to that staff, and she lived with her brother, Auram, and Imduk with whatever peace the village had. Auram, and Ningirsu both had decided to try to find something in the forest to attempt to reduce the burden of holding the barrier even a little as they constantly battled the Krawlers. One day Ib had hear a voice, and followed where it's coming from with Auram, Ningirsu, and Imduk following her. There they find what it was, was the World Chalice, and her staff had triggered something. What appeared was Lee in her Fairy form as the staff was emitting the same light the World Chalice was giving off."
"So Lee... called them to the World Chalice?" Ai questioned. "Probably not for anything good."
Sota pressed a button as a spell known as "World Legacy's Heart" which was Ib holding her arms out to where Lee was gathering a shrunken World Chalice into her hands, "Lee explained that she had bore the duty of leading humanity but had been defeated by the Mekk-Knights, and sealed into the World Chalice. She then claimed that she had been waiting for them as they hold the qualities to become the new World Heroes to defend it. She stated to them, "You children are the 'World Heroes'. Please help me gather the scattered lights of this world and save it from the 'Great Darkness'."."
"That's interesting, using the legend to turn them against the Mekk-Knights despite being the one responsible for this Great Darkness herself." Yuri noted.
"The power from the World Chalice has transformed the four of them into powerful warriors. With this it created the Deck of Bishop. The archetype known as the World Chalice."
The next slide shows of four Link Monsters 3 which is Auram, Ib, and Ningirsu now clad in blue armor with evolved weapons while Imduk had transformed into a fully grown dragon with a white furred collar.
"They look a lot stronger, but something's going to happen isn't it?" Yuya asked.
"To start it off with the Power of the World Chalice," a new slide showing a trap called "World Legacy Landmark" appeared that shows of the World Chalice evolving the group, "They managed to easily overwhelm the Krawlers, and decide to find the other World Legacies to save there home. To do this they left there home village, and off to the direction where the Krawlers live. They traveled to the wetlands to gather the next World Legacy, the World Armor. In there way was a vast swarm of Krawlers along with the higher Krawlers in there way."
The next slide showed a Field Spell, "World Legacy in Shadow" where the Krawlers lived around the World Armor while along with a Quick-Play Spell named "World Legacy Clash" having Imduk, and Auram in there Link Monster forms with Lee above them battling some of the Krawlers, and a Continuous Trap called "World Legacy Pawns" showing Ningirsu, and Ib in there Link Monster states standing alone against a swarm of Krawlers.
"Eventually they all reached the World Armor to use it against the Mekk-Knights. However at that moment seven lights in the form of a rainbow had appeared. The light faded to reveal the Mekk-Knights themselves." Sota said to them before then saying, "The group was too stunned as the Mekk-Knights had set up a trap globe trapping Ib, and took her away even the power of her staff done nothing against the barrier."
A trap card called "World Legacy Trap Globe" shows of Ib trapped in a globe being taken away with Auram reaching over to take her back with Lee above them, and Ningirsu kneeling weakened from the battle surrounded by the destroyed Krawler civilization.
"Why would they kidnap Ib?" Riley asked seeing that.
"Yeah, it doesn't make any sense... isn't Lee the one they would want to get rid of?" Sora inquired.
"Well it's simple," Sota turned over to them. "The staff Ib has... it was the same key that Lee's team had unearthed all those years ago."
"You mean... the World Key?" Sachiko asked shocked. "The one that caused that Mek-Knight to destroy the world?"
"Well the World Key yes but not in it's present state." a slide of a Continuous Spell called "World Legacy Key" was shown with the Mekk-Knights apprehending Ib with her staff floating above in a light. "But it is the same one that Lee tried to harness herself to spell the chaos that happened those years ago."
"Wait, but what about her brother and Auram, wouldn't they want to get Ib back from the Mekk-Knights?" Grace asked.
"That's true." Dennis nodded.
"Lee had explained to them it's too dangerous for them to gather the rest of the World Legacies without her so they decided to set an operation to rescue her from the Mekk-Knights." a Field Spell known as "World Legacy's Scars" showing Auram, and Ningirsu staring off at a ruined city where the World Shield sat at. "However while being apprehended Ib sees the Mekk-Knights are not harming her in anyway, and began expressing doubts that they are really embodiments of The Great Darkness. It was then Auram, and Ningirsu launched a surprise attack."
The next slide showed the Cyberse Mekk-Knight called "Mekk-Knight Spectrum Supreme", and a Continuous Trap called "World Legacy Whispers" where it shows Auram, Imduk, and Ningirsu fighting Spectrum Supreme while Lee flew from Ningirsu giving a signal only Lee appeared black.
"From the attack, the Mekk-Knights formed together into Mekk-Knight Spectrum Supreme. While Auram, Imduk, and Ningirsu keep it busy, Lee went on to find, and rescue Ib. Only it allowed her to fulfill a sole operation that she had planned."
"Why do I have a feeling she wasn't planning on rescuing Ib at all?" Aster frowned.
The next slide showed of Ib in a darkened room looking scared with Lee who is now pitch black with a red sinister expression while the World Chalice shows itself completely black, "When Lee found Ib, Ib asked her if the Mekk-Knight really are evil saying to her. "Maybe we shouldn't be fighting against the Mekk-Knights". Lee at that bore a sadistic expression dropping her facade, and revealed her true colors to Ib. She then mentally took control of Ib combining them into a new force. Knightmare Corrupter Iblee."
The next slide shows a monster card as a Cyberse of a black clothed, and haired Ib with Lee's sadistic expression. Zuzu, Rin, Lulu, and Celina all shuddered seeing that.
"The battle continued on against the Mekk-Knights, Auram, and Ningirsu however an explosion happened nearby with the Power of the World Chalice being greater then before, and when they looked Iblee was there. She told them her name was Lee, and that Ib's body is her's before firing an attack at them cancelling out the power she granted to Auram, Ningirsu, and Imduk along with splitting the fusion with Spectrum Supreme."
What appeared next was a Continuous Spell, "World Legacy's Corruption" showing Iblee firing a blast which destroyed most of Spectrum Supreme, and blasted away Auram, and Ningirsu, and a Normal Spell called "World Legacy Succession" where a Mekk-Knight was giving Auram something.
"Iblee then extracted the cores from the Mekk-Knights for her to use for her own benefit. However before his core which holds the Key was taken, Mekk-Knight Blue Sky had made Auram his successor. Opening his heart Auram had transformed where the staff, and Blue Sky's core transformed into blades."
The next card was a normal monster showing Auram wearing yellow plated armor, and holding twin swords with blue star gems at the base named "Mekk-Knight Avram".
"So... he became a Mekk-Knight but Lee already destroyed all of them." Yuto frowned. "That's not enough to stop her."
"Maybe but now Avram can now activate the World Legacies without Ib. Iblee quickly went to activate the World Lance nearby before. Avram went to tag her but they were opposed by vicious monsters created by Iblee from the Core of the Mekk-Knights."
The next card was a Field Spell, "World Legacy's Nightmare" showing numerous monsters where Ninsirsu stands alone despite not having the Powers of the World Chalice while Avram followed by Imduk ran passed them.
"They are the Deck of Black Rook, and the Archetype of the World Lance: The Knightmares."
The next slide shows of Link Monsters the same monsters from the Field Spell.
"Knightmares is right, those things are disturbing to say the least." Cal frowned.
"Iblee managed to activate the World Lance first, and summoned them. Ningirsu although he lost the Power of the World Chalice tries to fight off the Knightmares, and defeated Knightmare Mermaid in a single blow. That made him a target to the others allowing Avram to go after Iblee." Sota explained over to them. He then grew somber, "The Power of the World Lance weakened him where he stand helpless as Iblee moved to finish him with one of the blades but..."
The next card was a Normal Trap, "World Legacy Awakens" where Imduk was protecting Avram with a power boost where the soul of Ib appeared above Iblee.
"Imduk jumped in, and used his power as God's Vassal due to being a dragon. Although brief the spirit of Lee showed itself paralyzing her allowing Ib to take control of her body. However to save her friends she made to make the ultimate sacrifice."
The next card was a Normal Trap, "World Legacy Struggle" which shows of Ib taking a blade to impale herself struggling against Lee's influence while Avram tries to get up to stop her while Imduk ran over to try to stop her.
"No..." Lilly whispered in horror.
"That... don't tell me she had to..." Zuzu started nervously.
"The only way to stop Lee for good, she likely had no other choice and only moments to act." Ryoken frowned as he also gently embraced Lilly. "She died a hero."
"Indeed."
The next slide was a Counter Trap, "World Legacy's Sorrow" which shows of a dead Ib in the arms of a sobbing Avram while Imduk watched with tears while in the background was Ningirsu with his clothes torned, and roughed up having defeated the Knightmares, and ran to try to help Avram, and Imduk only to find his sister dead in Avram's arms frozen in shock with a look of despair on his face.
"They stopped Lee, but they lost Ib." Lulu whispered with tears.
"Ib had realized that even with the power Avram gained he could not use his blades against Lee as it would harm her. So she decided to take Lee down with her in her only moments of being free from her." Sota said solemnly looking down.
Everyone was quiet before Yusaku frowned.
"We haven't seen all of the World Legacies yet, there's more to the story isn't there?" he asked.
"Indeed." Sota nodded before he sighed, "It had been passed several years ever since that day. Auram had been knocked unconscious by Ningirsu, and took his sister's body with him. Auram realized the danger he assumed Ningirsu will attempt to do, and decided to form a group to stop him. He discovered a Krawler, and restored it back using the Mekk-Knight Functions, and succeeded in melding minds with it."
It shows a Continuous Trap, "Crusadia Krawler" a Trap monster showing a Krawler that has blue lines on it.
"Auram traveled to different tribes, and learned their legends and literature, which let him slowly unravel the secrets of this world, coming to understand the existence of the sleeping power of the stars that both Lee and now Ningirsu sought. He asked the leaders of the tribes to aid him, and the alliance believing they can be like the original Crusadia they agreed to aid Auram, and with the World Crown reactivated in the village transformed into the Deck of White Rook, and the Archetype of the World Crown: The Crusadia."
The next slide shows of new monsters with Auram, and Imduk in new forms with several other monsters including Link Monsters.
"So... the Crusadia were the ones to originally build the Mekk-Knights, and now they're trying to stop Ningirsu before he does something drastic and put the entire world at risk again?" Rin asked.
"I can think of at least two people who might go to that kind of extreme." Yuri mentioned glancing at Akira and Shay.
Akira, and Shay frowned together at this as Sota continued, "Meanwhile for Ningirsu he was driven by a wish where without Ib there is no point to living. So he attempts to revive her, and with the Cores of the Mekk-Knights he recovered, he learned of the world, and secrets, and tries to construct a new body to hold Ib's soul. Next to create a new world fitting for her he builds the divine gate, Babel. It was from there during his experiments which ended in failure he had assembled a mass army. They came to be known as the Deck of father, King, and the archetype of the World Wand: The Orcust."
The next slide shows of a Field Spell that has a spiraled tower, "Orcustrated Babel" with a Normal Spell, "Orcustrated Return" showing Ningirsu watching Ib's body in a vat with a mechanical doll shaping as her being built, and several musical themed mechanical monsters with Ningirsu, and the doll of Ib as Link Monsters.
"I can sort of understand why he's doing this, but he's putting everyone at risk including Auram and Imduk." Yuya frowned.
"Very soon the big World War had begun. The Crusadia alliance all fought the Orcust army struggling against Orcustron the strongest weapon while Auram senses a power great as the key emanating from the Babel. So he set off to see it himself, and finds that the Babel was growing to force the World Wand in the air down to the Earth to destroy the Earth's core via kinetic bombardment. From there the World Ark underneath will awaken, and grant Ningirsu the power of life, and death to bring Ib back to life." Sota had explained as a Continuous Spell, "Orcustrated Einsatz" shows the Babel growing with light.
"He is also gonna be able to use the Great Darkness within Earth's Core to transform Ib into a Rebuilder of Worlds. Auram knew he has to stop his former friend so he battles Ningirsu now under the name Longirsu the Orcust Orcustrator in combat."
A Normal Trap, "Orcustrated Attack" showing Auram's Crusadia form, and Longirsu fighting each other.
"So even though they stopped Lee she still gets what she wanted and the world's going to be destroyed?" Ai questioned. "How is that fair?"
"People would do anything for who they love." Shay answered that question, "Even when it seems impossible."
"Throughout the battle the World Wand dropped, and collided with Earth." A Continuous Trap showing the Ib doll with Babel, and the World Wand in the Babel was shown, "Orcuststrated Core", "The force of the blast threatened everyone but Imduk in an effort to save his friends called all his power to sacrifice himself to protect them. From there the World Ark activated, and had assimilated Imduk's body to absorb it,"
Two spells a Field Spell, "Guardragon Shield" with Imduk summoning a powerful barrier, and a Continuous Spell, "World Legacy Guardragon" showing a dead Imduk being absorbed by World Ark with Auram watching with tears in his eyes.
"First Ib... now Imduk?" Rin asked starting to tear up. "Why is all of this happening to them?"
"The resulting blast had reached the other World Legacies, and awakened the dragons within." Sota added to them with a Normal Trap, "Guardragon Cataslysm" which has a large blast shooting lightning at different locations on the Earth, "The World Legacies, which embodied the authority of God, having absorbed Imduk's resolve all transformed into dragons. It was from that they transformed into the Deck of Alexander Knight, and the archetype of the World Ark: The Guardragons."
He shows of dragon monsters looking different from each other as support for Normal Monsters mostly Link Monsters.
"The World Legacies are dragons?" Ryoken inquired. "Or did they simply take that form because of Imduk's sacrifice?"
"They are God's Vassals." Sota answered before adding, "With this power Ningirsu takes his sister's body, and moves up to the mechanical doll where with the key in it, he can control the dragons, and get Ib's soul."
A Normal Trap, "Orcustrated Return" shows of Ningirsu holding Ib's body with the mechanical doll, and a dragon in the distance with the doll reaching over.
"The fusion worked, and Ib returned... However." Sota looked grim. "The smile on her face wasn't the same... With Ib revived back it brought a disastrous consequence."
The next card was a monster card known as "Orcust Knightmare" of the doll in a mass of corrupted parts with a white mask on it with a familiar sinister smile.
"Lee was revived too."
"Not her again!" Yugo snapped.
"With the power granted Lee took control of the Doll, and erased Ib's soul with the key. This transformed her into Knightmare Incarnation Idlee."
A new monster showing Lee as a mechanical fiendish monster with several energy spikes around her with her sinister expression was shown. Lilly shuddered slightly seeing the monster.
"She erased Ib's soul?" Skye asked before frowning.
"Lee soon with the Power of God finally with her she summoned the strongest Krawler monster, Deus X-Krawler, and summoned the dragon of Death, World Legacy Guardragon Mardark."
Three cards were shown, a Quick-Play Spell, "World Legacy Monstrosity" which shows of Idlee summoning something with a large black dragon, and a large Krawler side by side.
"Auram and Ningirsu can still stop her... right?" Lulu asked nervously.
"Well it seemed all lost... however Guardragon Justicia flew in front of Idlee, and forceibly separated Ib's body from Idlee. Together they combined into a new force, Ib the World Chalice Justiciar."
What shows was this time a Synchro Monster where Ib was shown with Justicia's wings with a long bladed axe on her.
Wait, but you said Ib's soul was destroyed." Yuto recalled. "Did Justicia somehow recreate her soul?"
"Well as it turned out the soul Lee destroyed was the mechanical doll's. From the time it spent as Ib's vessel it gained it's own sense of identity. Her name was Galatea, and when they fused Galatea saved Ib's soul by being erased for her, and Ib's soul went into the World Chalice rebirthing it as Justicia." Sota explained over to them. "So Ib was revived for real now having the Power of God in herself after taking it from Idlee."
"Galatea... she saved Ib." the female Ignis whispered softly.
"Idlee went insane unable to control the power stored within her. Ib rejoined her brother, and Auram, and also revived Imduk, and granted him power transforming him into the Dragon of Life, World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke."
What shows is a Fusion Monster showing Imduk as a light glowing powerful dragon with a Quick-Play Spell "Crusadia Testament" showing Auram lending power to Imduk.
"However before a new battle can be fought Deus X-Krawler had feed from the power of the core, and what rose was the Vessel of God itself... The World Gears of Theurlogical Demiurgy."
The next card was the Core of Link VRAINS itself.
"The other card your father gave you." Emma recalled.
"Idlee having sensed Auram trying to unite the powers makes a last desperate attack however Ningirsu stand in her way with the power of the Orcust, and the Babel into Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star."
Two cards a Counter Trap, "Orcust Crescendo" showing Idlee attacking Auram, and a centaur Orcust with a long lance was shown as an Xyz Monster.
"With the last attack Idlee was finally destroyed... however with the synchronization from Deus X-Krawler, Idlee forced her soul to transfer into the World Gears causing it to go into a rampage."
The next was a Continuous Trap, "World Legacy Collapse" showing the World Gears attacking everything in sight.
"What now, is Lee going to win after all they've been through?" Ai questioned.
"Well luckily there is hope. Thanks to completely integrated the powers of the World Legacies into himself, and having fully inherited the 'Key' as well, Auram went to his final evolution. The World Hero, Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax."
The next card was a Link 4 Cyberse monster showing Auram in a large blue Mekk-Knight form.
"Incredible." Yuya whispered seeing that.
"Deciding to finish this once, and for all Avramax went into the heart of the World Gears, and finds the human form of Lee from within."
Two Normal Traps, "World Legacy Cliffhanger" showing Avramax heading into the orange core of World Gears, and "World Legacy Bestowal" having Avramax kneeling to Lee's human form was there.
"There he learned the truth about the God that created their world. The World Gears of Theological Demiurgy is really the prototypical form of all gods, a vessel that does the will of God in response to the will of the being inside it... in short, an Apotheosis Program. The entity that had previously occupied the World Gears used it to control and operate the movements of the heavens, but whoever they were, they disappeared in the process of sealing the out-of-control power of destruction deep within the planet."
Sota closed his eyes, "So if it continues rampaging it would not only destroy the world but the heavens as well... So he decided to make the ultimate choice... rather then destroy the God... he became one being reborn... As Avida, Rebuilder of Worlds."
The next card was a effect monster showing a large mechanical blue flamed monster with glowing flames.
"That's the monster you told us about before." Yuri noted. "So that's who Avida is."
"With the power of Avida, he has rebuilt the world."
A Normal Trap, "World Reassembly" shows Avida building power onto itself.
"It set off a monologue:"
On that day in a dazzling light
She lost consciousness,
And then when she awoke,
What she saw was a calm night sky laid out before her.
With the twinkling light of the stars,
Gently illuminating the world around her,
She embarked on a journey.
Sometimes, the sword she held
Would blink and glow
With a faint light.
What laid ahead on the path it guided her on

Entrusted her hopes to its blinking light
Continuing to journey the world he left behind.
"It was from there the world was restored back to normal. But Auram was the only person who didn't came back." Sota said to them as three cards a Link Monster named, Lib the World Key Blademaster was Ib holding the World Key with a red cape on, and two effect monsters one named, Girsu the Orcust Mekk-Knight, as a armored version of Dingirsu, and the World Key itself.
"With the power of the World Key, Ib traveled around the world restored to her while Ningirsu promised to always keep watch of her in Auram's name with Galatea's spirit close to him, and the Key was reformed into the World Key. From there they all traveled to whatever there journey takes them next."
The projector turned off as he turned over to them. "And that's the story."
"I see, and the Inner Circle based their cards and decks off of this story?" Declan inquired.
"But, it's just a story isn't it?" Sora asked Sota.
Sota looked down before he said to them, "Well... there is a reason why the World Legacies are connected towards Link VRAINS."
"What do you mean?" Yusaku asked him.
Sota looked towards before he then revealed, "Everything that had happened... It's all real."
"It... what?" Jack questioned. "What do you mean it's real?"
"Everything. Lee, the World Legacies, Avida, the World Gears rampaging, the World Restoration all of it." Sota answered that question. "In the midst of Link VRAINS being developed we found pieces of the World Legacies, and created cards based on them which allows us to control Link VRAINS however we wish."
"What?" Yuya asked in shock as everyone there exchanged nervous looks.
Meanwhile...
In a large chamber underneath SOL Technologies King was by himself as on a table was an all too familiar sword as he carefully picked it up. "The Knights of Hanoi and Roget's actions may have been a blessing in disguise, with the World Legacies Sota will become a God... and then I'll be able to control his power."
He raises the sword with a big smirk before he turned his attention towards a note carved in the wall.
"Whoever finds this sword please leave it be. If it is released a great battle of the Gods will be enacted again. Please keep the world safe from harm, and leave this sword be."
King only smirked at that before putting the sword back on the table as he left the room.
Ulrich362: Yup... King has the World Key and has been in possession of it for some time.
bopdog111: And now with this now is the end of this filler arc. And now the true events of VRAINS will start next chapter with the 'Ignis Warfare Arc'.
Ulrich362: True, and this time unfortunately Lightning will be an antagonist... though who knows how things will end for him, after all... Lee made the right choice so maybe by the end there'll be hope for him too. Of course, Link VRAINS is going to be quite a bit different when Yusaku and the others return, and the World Legacies will play an even larger role than in the original version.
