3 days later as Abigail arrives
"can you talk to my mother please Miley, she's pissed, she spent the last thirty minutes of screaming at me" says Abigail as Agatha walks in and rolls her eyes
"Agatha you moron, I've met many parents who did stupid things but never one that let abuse happen because you believed the abusive boyfriend over your own daughter, YOUR ONLY Daughter, how foolish can you be" says Miley
"how could I believe her if she wouldn't explain anything to me" says Agatha
"I happen to know she did on a few occasions but you were never interested in listening you just wanted to talk about your new puppy, Abigail go get a fancy dress on, there's someone I want you to meet" says Miley as Abigail walks to the apartment bathroom
"ok then can you explain some of them to me" asks Agatha
"one time he was down at university with us and he wanted to make us his 'restaurant approved' dinner, when in reality his plan was to have sex with both of us and make us do things with each other, even if we'd said no he said he'd do it, by the time we'd gotten away Abigail was pretty beaten up, my wrists were nearly broken, she could barely walk, she could barely speak and she couldn't see, ALL literally because he was denied sex with us" says Miley
"but she stayed with him" says Agatha
"abusive relationships are harder to leave than you think, besides you adored him, she used to say you never spent more than ten minutes with her a day, the rest was with a nanny, she wanted you to notice her Agatha, she wants you to be proud of her, I'm doing a Miley show at the pier in a few weeks, Abi either helped write or outright wrote some of the songs for me that I'm going to play, she probably would have stayed with him for years, so long as you paid attention to her" says Miley
"you want to set her up with a girl don't you, very few women flip that switch for her, she doesn't consider herself bisexual, even though she used to, there's this one photographer Azelia Stone that absolutely makes her melt" says Agatha
"that's the one, she was Cat fished by someone pretending to be Abigail, whoever it was had everyday information about Abigail, what her career plans were, what her hobbies were, it really hurt Azelia, it was a really hard three months, she started lashing out at Siena, saying that Siena set her up, long story short she realized what had happened and apologized but there's a gala tomorrow and she got invited, she needs a plus one" says Miley
"and you're expecting Abigail to not want to ask her out if she gets a chance" asks Agatha
"Azi doesn't know who I picked, honestly I'm betting on Abi asking her out" says Miley
"doesn't she have friends or something" asks Lilly
"no, her childhood friends are the ones who cat fished her, she doesn't trust anyone else, besides everyone else I'd have picked to be her plus one if already going to be there, Oliver's going with Mikayla, Jackson's going with Siena and you're going with me" says Miley as Abigail walks back over in her fanciest dress
"wait I'm going to meet THE Azelia Stone, the prodigy photographer" asks Abigail
"you should know her childhood friends Cat fished her with an image and near perfect description of you on a dating site, right down to your favorite past time activity, they'd 'planned' a date, she showed up in the most expensive dress money can buy, she waited three hours then went home, at this point all she's wanted to do is meet you, she has no idea I picked you as her plus one to the Gala, it's her first year and it's customary that every first year attendee brings a plus one without fail" says Miley
"but this isn't the Met Gala, that was last week" says Abigail as Miley gets a notification
"the youngest gala goers call it the 'baby Gala', the baby gala is the more inclusive of the two, though the Met Gala has come a long way, oh a limo just arrived for you to take you to Azelia" says Miley
"how will they know to let me into the limo" asks Abigail
"trust me you'll be the only one in that fancy a dress in this neighborhood, they're waiting for you" says Miley
"this is a date isn't it" asks Abigail
"it is whatever you make it, Azi won't push it one way or the other, the power is in your hands, ask her out or don't, it's entirely up to you" says Miley
"so you'll deal with Brutus then" asks Abigail, worried about her now ex coming after her
"trust me he'll be dealt with swiftly Abi, you have my word" says Agatha as Abigail hugs her and leaves
"she doesn't hug you often does she, I noticed you leaned into the hug" says Lilly
"she hasn't hugged me like that in quite a few years, not since her father was around" says Agatha
"wait Kyle isn't her father, he certainly acts like her dad" asks Lilly
"her dad was navy, he was the captain or whatever rank is the highest on a ship, I never understood military ranks, it was always so confusing, anyway his ship was lost, it was assumed that it sank, Kyle is his brother, he stepped in when I got the news that my husband was missing in action and assumed dead, his girlfriend had died of cancer the year before, her dying wish was to make sure nothing happened to Abigail if anything happened to my husband, Kyle's been an amazing father figure for Abigail but he never wanted kids himself, it helped that his girlfriend had been infertile due to a genetic condition so there was no pressure there, he really fostered Abigail's love of the arts, though he wasn't always around, that was the deal we made, he wasn't bound to stay in the same apartment as us at all times" says Agatha
"but Abigail mentioned a little sister" says Lilly
"she has a twin with down syndrome, she used to say her plans were to make it big and buy a house in Malibu or LA near the beach and have her sister live with her and whoever she ended up dating" says Agatha
"was she always so firm in her not being gay, I'm almost certain she's never really liked guys" says Lilly
"she was a lot more obvious when she was younger yes, then some jerk in high school convinced her that liking girls would get her killed and she closed up, a whole side of her was shuttered, she even began ignoring her sister, something she's never done, you girls however have helped change her back" says Agatha
"are you saying she loves me or something" asks Lilly
"not you in particular, she's very into the idea of polyamory, she always has been, she might suggest a polyamorous relationship, though it'll probably be more an experiment than a long term thing and that's only if she suggests it, she probably won't" says Agatha
"you wouldn't be implying that she'd suggest a polyamorous relationship if Abigail had no feelings for us" says Miley
"she's never actually said anything about romantic feelings but she had admitted to feeling a strong connection to you two quite a few times, her history with such statements usually means she has feelings but refuses to acknowledge them, her doctor has long held the belief that refusing to acknowledge those feelings is only fueling her depression" says Agatha
"ok so how are we going to deal with Aaron" asks Miley as Agatha texts her boss
"oh don't worry, I've been keeping tabs on him for a while, he's a drug dealer, I just didn't know he was abusive too, I'm FBI, I just sent my agents to arrest him, you getting Abigail out of there was just perfect timing" says Agatha
"she said he drinks though and he left the apartment" says Miley
"nah, I have his schedule down pat, he gets a shipment today, he wasn't about to miss it" says Agatha
"so you chasing Abigail down here was what, to stop her from going back" asks Lilly
"that's certainly part of it, her being a protected informant also plays a part, I figured that after all she's done to better your lives, even subtly, that you girls had plans to right her ship, I've tried to show her his illegal dealings before but she didn't seem to care, now I realize it looked that way because she was afraid to leave, I've never been the better parent, honestly for a long time I refused the idea of being a parent, mainly because I knew I'd never be good at it" says Agatha
"Abigail idolizes you as her prime role model Agatha, things will change now, though I don't expect her to return here tonight if things go well with Azelia" says Miley
"you think things will go THAT well" asks Agatha, realizing what Miley is implying
"if Abigail asks her out or kisses her yes, though nothing will happen without Abigail making that move, Azelia just won't do anything otherwise" says Miley
"one of Abigail's early dreams was to become a model, not too dissimilar to Siena, though Abigail didn't want to be a swimsuit model" says Agatha
"Azi has that power, she made my modelling career pop up over night, mind you I only model for good causes but still, she runs her own company so she gets a say in who she photographs, all Abigail would have to do is ask" says Miley
"what if they start dating, how would that work, surely it would be suspicious if she was writing checks into her girlfriends account" asks Lilly
"she can either take the pictures and have a lawyer write the checks or she can have her other photographer take the photos and she can write the checks, her lawyer told her that so long as the money comes from the business account and she doesn't partake in both sides of the business, she can have 'boyfriends or girlfriends' on the business payroll, though in either situation the money would have to be in an account that Azelia doesn't have full time access to" says Miley
"what about spicy photos, while I've never seen them, thank God for that, I know Abigail takes them, would Azelia take those photos as part of the modelling work" asks Agatha, showing her concern for Abigail's safety and reputation
"technically there could be spicy photos taken as part of the modelling work, however if the purpose of the photos is personal, no Azelia can't use company cameras to take the photos, she has her own personal camera for that stuff, though I don't see her engaging in that kind of thing so early in a relationship" says Miley
"so how would a contract work, like is it whatever the client asks or is she super strict" asks Agatha, genuinely curious
"she's not strict per say, however if something isn't in the contract she won't do it, like say if someone wanted regular and sexy photos but only mentioned the regular photos in the contract that's all she'll do, the only thing she budges on is visual stuff, like if an angle isn't working for a client she'll adjust the angle" says Miley
"how would you do both if you were to, I'm not trying to pry, I'm just genuinely curious about Azelia's business, it's always intrigued me" says Agatha
"are you asking as a mother or an FBI agent" asks Miley
"a mother, Abigail's sister has always loved modelling, she started modelling her clothes to us way before Abigail had even the slightest interest in modelling, the only interest the feds have in Azelia's business is how young she started it, they're afraid people are using it to launder money, however they have no leads indicating as such so they won't do anything, no agent is allowed to investigate her business unless our source has a lead" says Agatha
"the informant is Azelia herself, has been since the business started, she's a childhood victim of a pedophile so she has for a long time vowed to keep them out of the photography industry as far as she can control, her company has actually saved ten girls and three boys from a trafficking operation in the last two months alone, she's quite easily able to read people, she saves vulnerable people from abusive people, no matter the age of the victim, young or old she saves lives" says Miley
Later that night as Abigail calls Miley
"oh my God Miley I'm in love, I asked her out, she said yes, we went from the restaurant to her house, we just finished a movie and she's asleep now" says Abigail
"and you felt the need to call me why, not that I'm not happy for you or anything, it just seems odd" asks Miley
"I'm moving in with her, Ally is coming down to live with us, it's just a lot for me to process, I had to tell someone, besides I thought you'd want to let my mom know" says Abigail
"your mom had no doubt you'd ask Azelia out, in fact based on the questions she asked, she was already assuming you were already together, wait Ally as in your twin sister with downs syndrome" says Miley
"uh yeah, why is that a problem" asks Abigail
"unless you're willing to pay for Ally's meds, you need to inform her insurance first before any move is made, your mom made that quite clear, oh and Aaron was arrested, he was immediately denied bail by a judge, apparently part of her reason for chasing you down here was so you wouldn't go back, she was protecting you because she knew he would be arrested today" says Miley
"you act as if I didn't know she was tracking him or as if I wasn't the one feeding the feds that information" says Abigail sneaking a look at Azelia sleeping
"I figured as much, though it concerns me that you didn't tell them he was physically and sexually abusive to you" says Miley
"they're two different issues, one is outright criminal, the other is civil, I can't mix the two just because they're being committed by the same person Smiley, he's always been aggressive, I knew that when I started dating him, I failed to account that the aggressiveness would turn abusive when he got cornered, he got abusive BECAUSE he found out someone was snitching on him to the cops, he never suspected me but he thought I knew so he would try and beat the name out of me" says Abigail
"the guys you like do seem to follow the aggressive stereotype" says Lilly
"my psych doctor calls it 'daddy issues' because I like it when they swing me around like a kid, in reality I like strong men who can spin me around because I like how it feels, the aggressive nature seems to go hand in hand with it unfortunately" says Abigail
"what about your taste in ladies" asks Lilly
"ahh I see my mom has been talking about my polyamorous desires, I like soft spoken women like Azelia, you fit the bill Lilly but Miley doesn't so it won't work anyway, besides I'm quite content with Azelia, I don't see myself wanting a polyamorous relationship while I'm with her, however long that lasts, anyway I have to go, Azi's a light sleeper" says Abigail as she hangs up
"oh the love in her voice, it's just beautiful" says Agatha
"you were supposed to be headed back to San-Francisco by now" says Miley
"my boss told me to stay here in Santa Monica because it's apparently not safe for me, Aaron's apparently making viable threats against me, Ally and Abigail, Ally's being flown down here right now, she'll love the Arcade and the pier in general, she loves rides" says Agatha
"yeah the rides will be a problem, Rico won't have a problem with Ally playing at the Arcade but the ride owners will be quite fussy, you'll have to visit the pier yourself with Ally and explain the situation and that Abigail has permission to bring her on the rides" says Lilly
"what because she has downs syndrome, they'd really discriminate against her" asks Agatha, very upset
"all people with visible disabilities need parental or a guardian's consent, it's a liability thing, it's stupid but it has helped the pier survive a few lawsuits, parents signed waivers, then didn't follow all the safety instructions and their kid got hurt, the parents blamed the pier, thanks to the waivers the lawsuits got laughed out of court, the pier won't take any risks" says Lilly
"ok that I understand, Ally should be landing in an hour, I'll take her tomorrow morning and get it all sorted out, she was really excited to be living with Abigail" says Agatha
"that seems a little bit creepy doesn't it, I get that they're twins but isn't Ally a little too attached to Abigail" says Lilly
"Abigail was more a mother figure to Ally than anything, Abigail would drop everything to help Ally, besides there's a girl Ally likes that lives here, they've been pen pals for years" says Agatha
"call me suspicious but the amount of lesbians around us is suspicious" says Lilly
"the girl is trans Lilly, she just had bottom surgery last month, with Ally's full support, they've been more or less dating for a year, they've video chatted a few times, as for why it seems suspicious as to why you have so many lesbian couples around you, Miley/Hannah created a safe space during that recent concert where you two danced to her new song, they're going to flock to safe spaces, though it could be now that you're in such a relationship, you're just noticing them more than you used to" says Agatha
"maybe, what's Ally's girlfriends name" says Miley as she muzzles Lilly
"her name is Addison, she's autistic and honestly doesn't get along with many people, with Allison however, she instantly clicked with her, her mom says it was like a switch was flipped, Addison couldn't get enough of Allison's messages or video chats, Addison is going to go nuts when she finds out Ally is moving here" says Agatha
"wait Addison as in THE Addison Graham-Lee" asks Miley
"uh yeah, why, is she someone you know" asks Agatha
"she helped the Jo-Bros and I write music a few times, she was quite combative about working with us in person but man her voice is amazing, however after the label tried to sign her she dropped off the face of the earth, nobody could find her, well except for me on a few occasions but she'd gone all digital, no more in person stuff" says Miley as Agatha suddenly realizes something
"how long ago did she drop off the face of the earth, I'm asking years not weeks or days" says Agatha
"just before university, why" says Miley
"so five or six years ago" asks Agatha
"there about yeah, why, is it really that important, the label thinks she could be the next big hit, possibly more popular than Hannah Montana and that's saying something because I was an insta-hit artist" says Miley
"she's an alternative pop singer, she doesn't trust any label to let her release music as she writes it, six years ago last month time she started writing letters to Allison, her mom said the songs went from 'tear down the system' style music to alt pop love songs, people knowing she's trans was hard enough on her, though I do know she follows Hannah on social media, maybe if you reached out to her now that you're with Lilly, maybe knowing she has a support system beyond her family and Allison will help her confidence" says Agatha
"she may follow Hannah but she never responds to my messages, even if I'm simply asking how she's doing, she never responds, hasn't since she went dark" says Miley
"I'll see if Allison can talk to her" says Agatha
"you can try but don't let it ruin their relationship, Hannah's an independent artist now and I'm looking for new artists to jump onto to Hannah Montana Label, I'd love to have Addison on my label but I won't force her to" says Miley
"I'm sure her lack of communication is a misunderstanding, Ally and Addison were at that concert, they know you're supportive of the community" says Agatha
"if you say so, I've spoken to some of Addison's oldest friends and they say she hasn't talked to them in a long time, most of them helped her transition in the first place" says Miley
"I assure you there's a valid reason" says Agatha, toeing the legal line
"a reason you can't tell us about or won't tell us about" asks Lilly
"as an agent I can't say anything about it, though I will say it involves a university teacher and Addison is involved in the trial, how I'm not allowed to say, I'm only saying what I'm saying because you're very concerned about her" says Agatha
"does it involve Hollywood Arts" asks Lilly
"thankfully no, though a former student or two are looking for a label to sign with" says Agatha
"Cat and Tori's yes" asks Miley
"so you know of them" asks Agatha
"who doesn't know of them at this point, they're dating but their bond is weak romantically speaking, Cat is very skittish and has left Tori on a few occasions, they're rivals when it comes to music, sort of like how Lilly and I's bond isn't based on much besides our friendship, Cat and Tori's relationship is based on their love of music and snacks, they lack a deeper connection, Lilly has been meaning to talk to them for a while, she hates to see them at odds simply because they are musical rivals, she says they're good together and I agree" says Miley
"have you tried talking to them" asks Agatha
"oh no, that would open a can of worms and I'm nowhere close to being ready to fish yet" says Miley, slowly backing away
"what did I say" asks Agatha, confused as to why Miley is suddenly scared
"Miley's ok with polyamory as a theory, as an idea but she's not ready to decide whether she wants to engage in it herself yet, her dad barely trusts me dating her, he'd have a heart attack if we invited two more women into the relationship not to mention he'd consider it cheating" says Lilly
"I can talk to him" says Agatha
"wait you know my dad" asks Miley
"you really think Dolly was the one originally pushing for you to follow your dreams hun" says Agatha as Miley's eyes go wide
"WAIT AUNT Aggie" asks Miley as Agatha smiles
"now you remember me, I'm your mothers little sister" says Agatha
"I barely remember you, Dolly used to talk about you but mom and dad never did, dad only talked about you when I was getting my Hannah wig, after that he never spoke about you again" says Miley
"your father and I fought about how much to foster your love of music and your mother and I rarely got along, even towards the end she would fight with me, granted I WAS almost always near sighted about things but I had your best interest at heart, both you and Jackson mean so much to me, your dad only really seemed to really care about fostering your hopes and dreams while leaving Jackson high and dry, I was forced to watch you guys grow up from afar" says Agatha
"wait but that means Abigail is my cousin, you almost set me up with her in a polyamorous relationship, do Abigail and Ally know we're related" says Miley starting to get upset
"I've tried to tell them many times, they keep telling me they don't want to know any of my secrets, though Abigail knows enough to decline any such relationship with you, Allison isn't into brown haired women anyway, Addison is mildly redheaded, which Allison enjoys, neither of them find you all that attractive, though they don't mind Hannah all that much, when it started getting weird I had to tell them you were Hannah, they do definitely know that Stewarts are related to them though they don't know just how closely, though they're ignorant enough not to ask questions about it" says Agatha
"ok that aside, how do you know Cat and Tori" says Miley
"Cat's parents are lawyers, though it often leads to them neglecting Cat because she doesn't need their support, at least as far as they're aware, Tori's dad is LAPD, I work out of the LA field office often enough because my skills are needed here quite a bit but the San-Francisco field office won't outright transfer me, basically I end up working with them a lot, which is how I know Allison loves the pier so much, despite how unintelligent the downs syndrome makes her look, she's actually quite smart" says Agatha
"so you might know what Cat and Tori's deal is, like why Cat keeps breaking up with then getting back together with Tori" asks Lilly
"Tori's dad is supportive of her being bisexual and dating Cat, Cat's parents, while they accept her being gay, they disapprove of Tori being Cat's girlfriend, it weighs heavily on Cat, when she breaks up with Tori it's because the weight is too much for her, she can't handle her parents not accepting Tori, she gets back together with Tori so quickly because she can't stand being away from Tori and the cycle restarts, her parents however have fully accepted Cat being polyamorous and wouldn't object to her and Tori being part of such a relationship, in fact they feel it would redeem Tori in their eyes" says Agatha
"do Cat's parents just hate Tori that much or something" asks Miley
"they feel that Tori is possessive of Cat, Cat being five months younger than Tori doesn't help" says Agatha
"Lilly and I are two months older than Tori, if age is a factor in their mistrust of Tori, us being even slightly older than Tori won't help anything, it's probably best we avoid them" says Miley
"that is totally up to you, I know your relationship isn't exactly stable either so I won't push either of you, anyway I have a hotel room to get to" says Agatha as she leaves
"you don't think that talking to Tori and Cat about polyamory is a good idea do you" asks Lilly
"my dad would disown me, whether I think it's a good idea or not, I'm not good enough to live on my own, even with your help, my anxiety is crippling, I only got through that Hannah concert because you were there by my side, Oliver never showed up even though I gave him a back stage pass, literally you were the only reason I didn't crumble on that stage, we need to figure us out first before adding anyone else to the relationship" says Miley
"they didn't let Oliver in, you had his ticket under Mike, not Oliver, unfortunately Mikayla isn't dating Mike, he wanted to spend time with Mikayla openly at the concert so he showed up as Oliver, they told him his ticket was a forgery, he spent several hours in lockup until Mikayla got him out" says Lilly
"security would have told me about it" says Miley, not trusting that Oliver tried to show up for the concert
"I'm probably saying the wrong thing here but you need to trust your friends Miley, we don't abandon you, we never have" says Lilly
"I'll trust that Oliver tried to be there the moment you trust that my dad meant well that night" says Miley
"ugh we're at an impasse, you take the bed I'll take the couch, we can discuss this later" says Lilly, mad that Miley doesn't believe her
