The Inner Circle with Sota were together with Sota training his progress in a training room within Link VRAINS before Lancelot checked over a notification, and frowned over.
"Is something wrong?" Alexander questioned seeing that only to walk over to see what the notification was.
"That little brother of Nyx quickly gained rank 9." Lancelot answered over. "The former number 9 who is one of Queen's Bounty Hunters was defeated by him even with her link 5."
"Well, we both knew Nyx was a talented duelist but even so... to come out of nowhere and make it to rank nine this quickly is unusual." Bishop noted.
"Now to mention he's making fun of us by defeating one of my best Bounty Hunters." Queen growled over frustrated. "I ought to head in, and have Shepherd make him pay."
"Are you sure?" Lancelot asked her.
"You dare question me!?" Queen yelled out.
"Maria enough." King stated over calmly over. "Bishop?" He turned to his attorney over as he looked over. "What do we know so far about Predator Gardener?"
"Predator Gardener, real name is Yusaku Fujiki... he only recently logged into Link Vrains for the first time but he's quickly making a name for himself by defeating both King Fallen and White Tiger. He also has minor Pendulum skill but seems to focus primarily on Fusion Summoning like the rest of his family." Bishop answered looking over a file.
Black paused over from his data turning over. "What. Was that name. Again?"
"Yusaku Fujiki." Bishop repeated turning to him. "What, does that name mean something to you? I know Lilly Fujiki is one of our top three Charisma Duelists."
Black thinks before widening his eyes. "Holy shit, now I know why Fujiki ringed familiar!"
"Well?" Alexander questioned as he glared at him. "Are you going to share this revelation with the rest of us? And if the name is that important why not bring it up when Nyx became a Charisma Duelist instead of waiting until now?"
"Yusaku Fujiki, one of the victims of the Lost Incident! One of the children that Kiyoshi had captured!" Black pointed out over towards them. "At first I wasn't sure why Nyx's real name was familiar but now I realize it, Predator Gardener is of the same case as Prince, a victim of the Hanoi Project!"
"What!?" Queen questioned hearing that. "He's one of them!? Are you absolutely sure?"
"I was the one who presented the idea over towards Kiyoshi indirectly but if Predator Gardener really is the same as one of those brats from that godforsaken incident, then it's really no wonder why he's raising up quickly, his abilities are more advanced or on par with that of Prince's!" Black stated over towards them.
"Wait a second... is that even possible?" Alexander questioned.
King stared off at the side before closing his eyes. "I see Black... If that is really the case then it explains numerous questions. So it wasn't just Prince involved with the project against the Knights of Hanoi. We should perhaps make our move now while Playmaker's group is focusing over the Ignis."
"I agree." Queen nodded hearing that.
King looked over turning over. "Very well then... Bishop."
"Sir?" he asked hearing that.
"You'll be leading the first charge." King stated over towards him. "Show them that your the master within Link Summoning as you hold the power of the World Chalice."
"Of course, I'll show them the power of the inner circle." Bishop smirked hearing that only to pause. "Though... who should I use as an example for them?"
"Anyone would be fair game. Be sure it is someone who they look at." King stated over to Bishop.
Bishop nodded at that with a smirk as he walked out of the room.
"Sir is that really wise? Is Bishop really qualified?" Black asked him over.
"Bishop wields the power of the World Chalice, one of the first Link Summoning Decks, and he knows it at the back of his hand." King stated over. "I trust no one better to lead the charge."
"Of course." Lancelot nodded calmly with a smile.
Bishop was walking by himself before he looked at his hand clenching it as he walked to a room.
"Here is today's results sir." was a voice that sounded like his in his head.
"Excellent data here Reginald." a voice that was smirking responded over. "It's just too bad that all you got doesn't compare to Zaizen's own load."
"I assure you, I'm better then he is." his voice responded.
"I'd hope so otherwise I'll depend on him now." the other voice stated over.
Flashback...
A younger Bishop walked in handing a data card to a black man wearing a white suit smirking over. "Ah more data from you Reginald. Well done." He handed over some yen. "You always were willing to show off."
"Of course, I am the best at this after all." Bishop smirked.
"Oh I don't know about that Reginald. Lately your performances are being rivaled over." the boss stated over towards him. "You always said your better, however your not really proving it as Zaizen's own-" The door opened as they looked over. "Ah speak of the devil, Zaizen we were just talking about you."
"Oh? Is there something I need to do?" Akira inquired calmly.
"No, I was just discussing with Reginald here, that your performances at hacking are proving to be way better then his." the boss stated over with a smirk over. "At some point, I'll have to replace him with you Zaizen cause compared to you he's useless."
Akira's eyes widened. "With all due respect sir, I wouldn't say Reginald is useless at all. He's incredibly talented and honestly there are several things he does much better than me. We both have our strengths and work well together."
"Indeed however as you are developing results better then he is, I really don't really see any point towards keeping him around." the boss shook his head over. "There are times where bulbs will stop working, and when they short out there fuse, their useless."
Akira frowned at that. "My results are only marginally better... easily within the margin of human error. We're essentially equal."
"Don't bother Zaizen."
They looked over to Reginald who looked pissed off as he stared at the boss glaring. "So you think I'm useless since I couldn't produce better results, think that Zaizen is your golden boy? Fine then have your fun with him, I'm done with this!" He snatches the check the boss gave him previously before glaring at Akira. "And Zaizen, no matter what I will prove I'M the better one no matter what! I'm better then you are, and I will stop at nothing to prove that!" With that yell he stomped out.
"Reginald..." Akira frowned hearing that.
After that Reginald moved on going to Law School, and studying under the law eventually graduating with a decree as a successful lawyer. While being a lawyer pays well, and he enacted justice he still feels bitter over those who are better then he is, and so eventually after leaving home he made his way to Den City, and worked well over at SOL Technologies for several years over producing strong results, and voiced over his experience with the law at times. Eventually it caught the attention of a certain CEO.
Knock Knock Knock.
Reginald's office was knocked as he was busy with coding.
Knock Knock Knock.
"What, whoever it is I'm very busy." Reginald told the person only for the door to open as a younger King walked in.
"I was told this is where I could find a Reginald Sasaki would that be you?" the man inquired.
Reginald looked over towards him as he blinked over. "Yes that's me. Who are you?"
"Ah, never heard of me? Well that's to be expected hardly ever few people had seen me, or known who I am." the younger King gave a small chuckle before bowing. "In which case, allow me to introduce myself. Aku Tarumaku, under the codename King... President/Owner/Founder of SOL Technologies."
Reginald's eyes widened. "SOL Technologies? I've heard of that company, what would the president of such an illustrious company, the greatest since the Leo Corporation itself want with me?"
"Quite a thing to state over since we are in my building right now with you as an employee." King stated over towards him.
Reginald's eyes widened more. "Of course, well sir how can I help you?"
"Well I would have an employee come get you to my own office for us to chat, however since I'm still low on staff, and few of trusted men, I've decided to come over myself." King said over sitting down on the chair in front of Reginald's Deck. "It was brought to my attention about your results, and your experience within the law."
"Yes, in addition to my hacking I've been focusing on my legal studies and would like to say I have a better understanding than most people in Den City... by a wide margin." Reginald nodded.
"I see. I had checked over your background, and I had seen some... interesting stuff. Former hacker under Terrance Gore's little minion entourage being paid for illegal hacking." King revealed over which made Reginald widen his eyes while King gave out a closed eyed smile towards him. "Oh yes, I know about your past. You can't hide anything from me."
Reginald flinched at that. "Is this about a termination then?"
"You think I'm going to fire you?" King chuckled over. "Oh no... far from it."
"Then, why bring up my past?" Reginald asked only to pause and turn back to the computer. "My apologies sir, I need to pay close attention to this, it's rather important."
"Oh I doubt it's not as important as your promotion on the horizon." King brought up something that caught his attention.
"Promotion, I'm honored." Reginald turned back to him.
"Then pay close attention, your work can wait." King stated over towards him with crossed arms.
"Of course sir." Reginald nodded turning and giving King his full attention.
"I am sure you had been informed of our big funding project Link VRAINS?" King asked him over.
"Of course, there have been several rumors that it's going to be the most ambitious project humanity has ever attempted." Reginald nodded before smiling. "To even be a small piece of something like that is incredible."
"Well... for you see such is so simple yet so impossible to realize." King stated over towards him. "It's suppose to serve a huge multi-network VR system. Smaller scale tests are fine but overworld over is where it gets too unstable. We gotten most of the basics down but prices build up over. And we turn our attention to aid by the criminal underworld who agreed to lend us money if we aid them over. However we managed to finally complete it over which should be the time to turn our backs, and take all they have." He then gave a smirk over looking at Reginald. "And after hearing that your a lawyer, and a hacker, I can think of no other person to strike the killing blow at the criminal underworld then you."
Reginald's eyes widened before he smirked. "Consider it done, just tell me who to look into."
"I think the first would be the one who set you aside, Terrance Gore." King smirked over. "Just swipe the blow over all of them before they get a chance to find out."
"Consider it done, and it won't be able to be traced back to SOL Technologies." he smirked.
King nodded as he left.
Several months later, Reginald was finally ready over, hacking, placing in bugs, and viruses, and things to take, and corrupt over so none can be traced back towards SOL Technologies, and as a lawyer of the law, he would be believed upon.
Now in front of him was his laptop finished typing a code, and with the press of the enter key will strike the killing blow with King, a younger Queen, and a younger Sota before his accident was there staring ahead as King smirked over towards Reginald. "Well Reginald... all the hours, all the work... with the press of a button the criminal underworld will be no more. You may press when ready."
"Of course... sir, do you want the honor?" Reginald asked him.
"No. This will be all yours." King smirked over to him. "You proven your better then the criminal underworld so you should be the one to have the honors to eliminate them."
Reginald smirked as he hit the enter key, eliminating the underworld all at once. At once King's computer pinged up as he checked over, and smirked turning the screen to show that all of the money, and resources to the underworld are now within SOL Technologies with over 2 billion yen.
"Is this legal?" Sota asked uncertainly.
"Oh Sota as we explained several times as this is our company whatever we do is legal. No-one can tell us otherwise, and as Reginald is an attorney in law we can do it without it coming back." King stated over to his son.
Sota frowned looking down. "I still feel like most of those people don't deserve it."
"There criminals Sota, it makes no difference there all the same." Queen glared over to him before then smirking. "But now that there out of the way we're the top!"
"Indeed... and to celebrate this event is the promotion, I've told you about Reginald." King turned over towards him.
"Of course, I'm honored sir." Reginald smiled.
"Then it is my honor to name you the third member of the Chess Inner Circle of SOL Technologies as my will when I'm not around. With this, I hereby dub you, Bishop." King handed over a nametag, and a Duel Monsters card. "Along with a card that can control Link VRAINS to showcase your rank."
Bishop took the card and name tag smiling. "Thank you sir."
So a year later, life continued on with Reginald now crowned Bishop to enforce his rule, and leadership over while dealing with legal issues beholding without SOL Technologies. Throughout the time, he had met up with the Knight Brothers who became the Knights of the Inner Circle as the forth, and fifth members, and now there chatting in there meeting room.
"Virus attacks been stopped by us. But honestly, I think we should give some credit towards those four bounty hunters." Lancelot admitted over towards them.
"Yeah Ghost Gal, the Shepherd, White Tiger, and Akira Zaizen were all valuable assets." Alexander brought up catching Bishop's attention. "But honestly Zaizen was the main reason, guy's a genius. I heard he been hired recently into here, and is quickly raising the ranks. I don't know how he's so good."
"Did you say Akira Zaizen?" Bishop questioned.
They looked over as Alexander nodded over. "Yes sir. You know him?"
"I do... and I suggest we keep a very close eye on him." Bishop frowned.
"Is he a threat?" King asked him over.
"It's entirely possible, he was... also connected to the underworld for some time." Bishop nodded before pausing. "He does have one exploitable weakness though."
"And that is...?" Queen trailed off.
"He has a younger sister. If we keep her under control he'll be our loyal puppet." Bishop smirked.
"I understand your grudge towards him Bishop but let me remind you, that Zaizen is beneath you now. You don't need to worry about him being better. In worst case he'll be our second Bishop." King stated over towards him. "No matter what he will always be beneath you."
"I... understand sir." Bishop frowned clearly frustrated but not going to argue the point due to his loyalty and respect to King.
End Flashback...
Bishop held his hand clenched tight in frustration but shook his head. "Stupid Zaizen... I will show you I'm better then you are." He walked into the VRAINS room as he instructed. "I'm heading into Link VRAINS, don't bother me."
"Yes sir." the employees in the room all nodded hearing that.
He sat on the chair as he readied his Duel Disk. "Into the VRAINS!" He glowed before his consciousness transferred turning into his avatar. His Link VRAINS Avatar shows him wearing brown armor with a flap of a Brown Bishop Chess Piece on it as he hopped on a Duel Board riding off.
With the Lancers...
Everyone was checking things until Sylvio widen his eyes. "Hey I found something!"
"What is it Sylvio?" Riley asked him.
They looked seeing Bishop riding through Link VRAINS.
"What in the... he's one of the Inner Circle. Why is he in Link Vrains?" Emma questioned seeing that.
"He's from the Inner Circle? Who is he?" Sora asked over.
"Bishop... King's right hand man and third from the top behind King himself and Queen." Akira answered frowning.
"What's he doing now?" Yugo asked with a frown.
"He must be looking for us, or Lightning." Miyu guessed over.
"Then, should we just ignore him?" Zuzu asked hearing that. "None of us are logged in... Yusaku logged out after his duel with Misaki."
"No. Bishop is a skilled hacker. If we ignore him, and he finds the Ignis he will certainly gain him." Akira frowned over. "I've worked with the man on occasion, he doesn't mess around."
"Then who should go and try to stop him?" Yuto inquired only to frown. "He likely knows our decks from the Dimensional War."
They all view over wondering who to pick over before then someone walked forward. "Let me." They turned over as they looked seeing that Yugo walked over.
"Yugo, are you sure?" Yuya asked only for Yugo to smile.
"Yeah, I'm sure Yuya... don't worry." Yugo grinned. "I'll be fine."
"Well don't take him lightly. He uses one of the first Link Summoning Decks." Akira said over to him.
"Got it, well lets see how good Link Summoning was at first. Into the VRAINS!" Yugo called.
Meanwhile...
Bishop was riding his Duel Board looking around for any of the Lancers, or the Ignis. Suddenly someone nearly crashed into him.
"Ah!" Bishop avoided looking over with a growl. "Watch it!"
He saw it was a man in a white spandex suit with green almost glasslike designs on it.
"Eh?" Bishop blinked over. "Are you a Lancer?"
"That's right, my name's Hyperdrive." the man smirked crossing his arms.
"Tch. How bold of you to come after me here." Bishop glared dropping down. "Then I suppose you know who I am?"
Hyperdrive landed near him. "Bishop, one of SOL Technologies inner circle. Am I close?"
"Very well in line. Now I'll tell ya what's gonna happen. Surrender the Ignis to us, and stop meddling in our affairs." Bishop stated over adjusting his glasses.
"Gee, that's a really nice offer. I mean it's not like you hurt people I care about, or are planning on using the Ignis for your own purposes." Hyperdrive mentioned thoughtfully before glaring at him. "Fat chance!"
"It was worth a shot." Bishop shrugged over not surprised that's refused.
"Not even a little bit. You can Action Duel I hope?" Hyperdrive taunted.
"Taking such foolishness here for your new Charisma Duelists how bothersome. Fine it makes no difference, the Power of the World Chalice is beyond anything that regular Link Decks can do!" Bishop declared.
"Foolishness?" Hyperdrive questioned hearing that. "Action Duels are the main strength of the Lancers and their allies... though if you're afraid what kind of match do you want?"
"Who said I was afraid?" Bishop asked back readying himself.
Hyperdrive prepared himself with a grin.

Hyperdrive looked at his hand only to frown. 'Nothing good yet, but I'll just make my comeback next turn.' "I just set one monster and that's all."

A large earthquake happened as something raised up behind Bishop. It was soon revealed to be the World Chalice itself now finally showing it's real self for the Lancers to see after hearing of the story.

"Don't ask me!" Bishop frowned before pausing. 'Actually... could this be because of how we rebuilt Link VRAINS? I need to talk with King about this after I deal with him.' Shaking his head he added over. "Well next as Imduk was sent to the graveyard, I can summon Crowned by the World Chalice!"
He placed the card as Ib holding the key staff close to her as she smiled over.

Yugo's eyes widened in shock. 'Damn it, I underestimated this creep because of what happened before. I should have set that just in case... now I don't have enough time... but maybe.' "So what do you plan on doing if you beat me? Not that you will win."
"Just to prove an example. King wants us to prove we're better, and will claim the Ignis. You'll get an example when I show you I'm better then you at Synchro!" Bishop called showing Yugo before his opponent called. "Now I use Auram's effect! By Tributing a World Chalice on my field, I can summon a monster from the graveyard linked to it!"
Lee vanished as Ib rose up beside Auram's regular form with a smile.

All "World Chalice" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK/DEF. Once per turn, if a face-up "World Chalice" monster you control is destroyed by battle, or leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can target 1 "World Chalice" monster in your GY; Special Summon it in Defense Position.
"Then by sending Ib to the graveyard, I add Lee back to my hand!" Ib lowered down the graveyard portal as he added back Lee. "Then as Ib was sent to the graveyard when Synchro Summoned, I can summon a World Chalice from my hand, or Deck! Come out Beckoned by the World Chalice!"
This time was Ningirsu in his regular form readying his large spear.

"Luck has nothing to do with it. What's important is proving you are better then anyone else! And it starts by using Beckoned, and Chosen together!"
The two entered the horizontal arrows of the circuit.

"What's going on, why didn't Yugo use Tri-Eyed Dice to protect his life points?" Yuya asked shocked only for Declan to close his eyes.
"He's sacrificing the battle to try and gather information on the Inner Circle, I have a feeling Yugo decided to accept a defeat during Bishop's turn." he explained calmly. "Yugo isn't going to just rush into battle like before and especially not after what happened to Celina, trust him Yuya."
Yuya frowned but turned back to the duel.

Yugo drew his card as his eyes briefly widened only to shake his head. 'No good, his monster isn't a machine but I can at least pretend to be fighting back.' "You're not bad but not good enough either. I summon Speedroid Ohajikid in attack position."

Shock Surprise shorted out before shattering. Yugo frowned. "Before I attack I have to ask you something, are all of you this skilled or are you just the exception?"
"The hell is that suppose to mean? I'm above you simplicity itself!" Bishop glared over. "Despite the lackluster power of Normal Monsters the World Chalice stands tall as one of the most powerful Link Decks there are!"
Yugo nodded at that. "Right, right, I'm sure it is. Anyway, Hi-Speedroid Kendama attacks Ib the World Chalice Priestess!"
Kendama charged in piercing Ib as Bishop watches on. (Bishop: 3900/Hand: 3) But Ib wasn't effected from the attack as Bishop smirked over. "Pathetic, that the best you can do? Ib can't be destroyed while she's linked!"
Yugo's eyes widened as he frowned. "I end my turn."
Yugo's Hand: 2/Field: Hi-Speedroid Kendama (Attack Position), One Set Card
Bishop 2nd Turn:
"Alright my turn, draw!" Bishop drew looking. "And now I summon Beckoned again!"
Beckoned rose up readying.
Beckoned: (Attack Position/ATK: 71800 + 300 = 2100/DEF: 0 + 300 = 300)
"Link Summon!"
Beckoned entered the Link Marker where Imduk rose again.
Imduk: (Attack Position/ATK: 800 + 300 = 1100)
"And with his effect, I summon Chosen!"
Chosen rose up readying with a grin.
Chosen: (Attack Position/ATK: 1600 + 300 = 1900/DEF: 0 + 300 = 300)
"Then by Tributing Imduk, Auram can summon can Justiciar from the graveyard!" Imduk lowered down as Ib's God form rose up again in Defense.
Ib the World Chalice Justiciar: (Defense Position/ATK: 1800 + 300 = 2100/DEF: 2100 + 300 = 2400)
"And due to Imduk's effect, I summon Lee again!" Lee rose up giggling.
Lee: (Defense Position/ATK: 100 + 300 = 400/DEF: 2000 + 300 = 2300)
"With her summoned again, I take another World Chalice to my hand." Bishop adds another World Chalice Guardragon to his hand. "Then I use Ib, and Lee to Link Summon again!"
The two flew up where a second Priestess lowered down.
Ib the World Chalice Priestess: (Attack Position/ATK: 1800 + 300 = 2100)
"And next use Chosen!" Chosen flew up turning into a third Imduk.
Imduk: (Attack Position/ATK: 800 + 300 = 1100)
"But Chosen's not gone long cause by banishing the first Guardragon, I can summon back Chosen!"
Chosen rose up again in Defense.

Yugo frowned. "You got lucky this time. I won't underestimate you again."
"Too bad you won't get a chance." Bishop smirked over. "By banishing World Chalice, I take World Legacy's Heart to my hand!" He added a spell. "But with a World Legacy gone from the graveyard, Auram loses 300 points."
Auram: (ATK: 2600 - 300 = 2300)
"Okay it makes little difference when I use Heart!" Bishop uses the spell.

"I take 2 World Chalices from my graveyard different from each other, and add them to my hand." Bishop stated over as he added Beckoned to his hand, and a Imduk to his Extra Deck. "And now finally to finish this farce over. Appear again!"
The circuit appeared as Imduk, and one Priestess flew up entering the left, right, and top markers. Yugo frowned as unknown to Bishop he set a delayed log-out to leave Link VRAINS.

"What kind of a question is that?" Bishop asked annoyed at that. "Link our main specialty to use, and now you will regret messing with us! As Imduk left the field, Beckoned is summoned from the hand!"

"Then after that as Ningirsu is Link Summoned, I draw a card for how many World Chalice's are linked to it!" All three of Ningirsu's arrows are pointing at World Chalices which he draws three cards.
Yugo stared at him. "You won this duel, but I have one last question for you? Have you ever seen Synchro's true power? Next time we meet I'll show you exactly what Synchro is capable of."
"Sorry but I'm afraid the truth here is plain, and simple. Your beneath me, and I've proven I'm better then you at Synchro! Even since Ningirsu sends that useless face-down to the graveyard with Chosen!" The two cards were sent with Ningirsu's ability. "And now World Legacy Clash activate!"

Beckoned vanished as Kendama weakened.

"And now to finish you! Ningirsu finish this weakling off!"
Ningirsu charged in swinging down his large axe like weapon at Kendama. Yugo braced himself as the attack hit ending the duel just before Yugo vanished.

"What the hell?" Bishop asked surprised before shrugging. "No matter. As long as this gives the message to the Lancers, we are better then them in every way." He logged out himself.
Meanwhile with the Lancers...
Yugo groaned getting up. "Sorry about that, wow I'm out of practice. Though, I meant what I said before I lost... he doesn't know the true power of Synchro. In fact, I doubt most of you know what I can do."
SMACK!
Kenneth smacked him over his head.
"Argh." Yugo groaned. "What was that for?"
"For being a complete moron." Kenneth glared with crossed arms. "The Inner Circle are NOT to be underestimated, and I thought he had you cornered but was told you threw the match. What the hell were you thinking!? If he was speaking the truth, you should've destroyed him instead of throwing the match like that cause this defeat would set us back when we face SOLs eventually!"
Yugo turned to Kenneth at that. "Accel."
Hearing that Rin's eyes shot open. "Wait, Yugo you learned how to Accel Synchro?"
"Yeah, I did... and they don't know about it yet." Yugo nodded grinning.
"Accel Synchro?" Emma asked hearing that confused.
"An evolved form of Synchro." Yugo grinned taking out a card and looking at it. "And this monster, will take him down the next time we meet."
He then turned to Kenneth. "There's no way they'll beat me."
"Then why didn't you do that before is the biggest question. Do you even realize what this does for SOL?" Kenneth didn't lose his scolding glare over with his hands on his hips.
"I didn't draw the cards I needed." Yugo replied before glaring at Kenneth. "I'll duel you if you need proof."
Ulrich362: Apologies for the delay, Yugo vs Bishop was very difficult but at the same time, hopefully the big surprise coming in the next chapter might make up for it?
bopdog111: World Chalice is a powerful Deck but even it falls down to a mass amount of other Decks like Yugo's Speedroids. We're trying to have Lancers who haven't dueled yet have a chance to duel, and have the Inner Circle be genuinely strong, and earn there victories fair and square without there opponent's doing misplays or throw the duel.
