bopdog111: Okay guys we're now here for some training.

Ulrich362: True Yusaku and the others have seen firsthand what kind of tactics Black will resort too and what they should be expecting if he duels them again.

bopdog111: So who's gonna be training with who?

Ulrich362: Well Black will be doing his own training, but as for who in Yusaku's group that remains to be seen... probably one of the Lancers practicing against someone who can Link Summon?

bopdog111: Gotcha. And we can also see Predator Gardener doing another Charisma Duelist match as the ones until he faces the top three will also be hopeless people who desire only to win.

Ulrich362: True, sounds like a plan. Enjoy the chapter.

It had been a little bit since Varis' match with Black over, and they were discussing a bit about this over the kind of thing the Inner Circle will be bringing next. While also discussing that they know about Midna now.

"Well Midna you think daddy is real strong?" Ai grinned over to try teasing again.

Ryoken glared over warningly at Ai who turned away awkwardly before Yusaku deciding for a chance to annoy his sister grinned over. "What about mommy she strong too?"

"Oh, mommy is amazingly strong, and pretty... will I be as pretty as mommy when I'm older?" Midna asked curiously causing Lilly to blush a bit as she smiled.

"I'm sure you will sweetie." Lilly told her. "You're pretty now though."

"Ah, that will be us one day Kenny." Misaki sighed over smiling with a dreamed look in her eyes. "Us with our baby talking like that all together sitting on our front porch, playing in the backyard, all of that stuff."

Kenneth didn't change his look but closed his eyes a bit fondly from this.

Yuya smiled at that. "You two are going to be so lucky when your baby is born."

"We should make sure your baby is born once everything is resolved, and there isn't anymore fighting though." Gong pointed out.

"That just means we need to prepare better. Starting by training." Kenneth said opening his eyes. "It be best for us to train while we have the time so we can prepare whenever Lightning or the Inner Circle strikes again."

"I agree, though... I don't know what Bohman was thinking when he beat me though." Rin admitted.

"Well... there's a way I can get some practice in." Yusaku mentioned thoughtfully.

"Well now, I say it's my turn now." Kenneth stood up from this. "I can't afford to slack off."

"You're going to duel Kenneth?" Misaki asked him.

"In times like these, I can't afford to slack off while these threats are all over the place." Kenneth answered over from this. "Not when I got some people I need to protect." He voiced this over towards Misaki, there child, and for a second glanced at Emma but no-one notices except for Emma confusing her but figures to ask another time.

"Alright, in that case I'll..." Yugo started only for Lulu to step up.

"I'll duel you." she mentioned.

They all looked over towards her at that while Yuto voiced. "Lulu are you sure?"

"I am, I didn't do much to help during the dimensional war... I won't just sit on the side this time." Lulu mentioned to him.

"Very well." Kenneth accepted over.

"Good luck Kenny." Misaki smiled to her husband who nodded before she turned to Lulu. "You best not underestimate him he's stronger then myself."

"Didn't he say you were stronger?" Yugo recalled.

"Your remembering wrong then." Kenneth stated over bluntly.

"He's right, Misaki told me after our Charisma Duel that he's stronger then her." Yusaku confirmed.

"Well, you're both strong." Yuya pointed out.

Kenneth, and Lulu readied activating there Duel Disks. "INTO THE VRAINS!" There consciousness transports into Link VRAINS.

Link VRAINS...

Kenneth in his Shepherd persona of a gray skinned man wearing torn blue clothes with a fedora on, and a mechanical arm appeared with Lulu's avatar in front of him. Lulu's own avatar was a blue skinned bird woman with purple feathers while having suit on that's blue, and light blue and gold fittings.

"Shepherd, my name is Songbird. Hopefully I can hold my own against you." Songbird mentioned politely.

"Well remember that in my job as a Bounty Hunter, I always have to risk it all. That means, I will not hold back, and I'd expect you to do the same." the Shepherd answered over to her.

"DUEL!"

"2400!" Songbird asked shocked.

"General's effect activates! I summon 1 Drone from the graveyard once a turn next to it's link!" the Shepherd rose an arm as Scud Drone popped up.

Scud Drone: (Attack Position/Banished when leaves the field)

"Scud Drone's effect activates! As it's summoned from the graveyard due to the effect of a Drone monster, I draw 1 card!" the Shepherd drew a card. "Appear for a third time, the circuit to victory!" "You're good, I can already tell." Songbird admitted.

"Well I still have some moves to make! Such as activating the Equip Spell, Assemble Drone!" the Shepherd is now using an Equip Spell.

Assemble Drone

Equip Spell Card

Activate this card by targeting 1 "Drone" Link Monster in your GY; Special Summon it and equip it with this card. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK, also it cannot declare an attack while you control "Drone Pawn".

"I summon back Drone XL from the graveyard, and equip with this card! While equipped it gains 500 attack points!" Drone XL rose back on the field.

Drone XL: (Attack Position/ATK: 400 + 500 = 900/Equipped with Assemble Drone)

Assemble Drone: (Equipped to Drone XL)

"Drone XL's other effect! As it's Special Summoned, I add a Drone Force Quick-Play Spell to my hand!" the Shepherd added another card from his Deck. "General's second effect! I target 1 Drone on my field that has 1000 or fewer attack points! This turn, the monster I target can attack you directly!"

'Direct attack, just like me.' Songbird thought.

"Battle! Drone XL attacks you directly!" the Shepherd called as the smaller drone plane moved firing missiles at Songbird.

"Not so fast, I play the trap card Lyrilusc - Phantom Feathers!" Songbird countered.

Lyrilusc - Phantom Feathers

Normal Trap Card

Target 1 "Lyrilusc" monster you control; the ATK of all monsters your opponent currently controls become that monster's current ATK, also their Levels/Ranks become 1. When an opponent's monster declares an attack on your "Lyrilusc" monster: You can banish this card from your GY; your monster's ATK becomes that opponent's monster's ATK, until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Lyrilusc - Phantom Feathers" once per turn.

"This trap targets one of my Lyrilusc monsters, and the attack points of every monster you have on the field become the same as that monster, then they also have their level or rank reduced to one. I choose, Lyrilusc - Cobalt Sparrow with zero attack points!"

"What?"

Feathers appeared all on the Shepherd's field which weakened all three of them.

Battledrone General: (ATK: 2400 - 2400 = 0)

Battledrone Sergeant: (ATK: 800 - 800 = 0)

Drone XL: (ATK: 900 - 900 = 0/LV: 3 - 2 = 1)

Drone XL's attack faded with no attack points which the Shepherd grunted out. "So that was what your waiting for...!"

Songbird only smiled at that. "True, oh and by the way the attack reduction is permanent."

Now at Main Phase 2, the Shepherd knew he has to make this move. "In that case, I activate the card Drone XL had me add! Drone Force Fusion!"

Drone Force Fusion

Quick-Play Spell Card

This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster using monsters you control as Fusion Material, including a "Drone" monster, and if you do, it gains this effect.
● This card cannot be destroyed by card effects.

"By using a Drone on my field, I can Fusion Summon! This card's activation, and effect cannot be negated!" the Shepherd explained.

"Fusion!?" Songbird questioned in shock hearing that.

"I fuse Battledrone General with Battledrone Sergeant!" the Shepherd raised his arms as the two Link Monsters fused together. "My most powerful soldier and sergeant now become one to build an impregnable fortress! Fusion Summon! Fortressdrone Beehive!"

Fusing over was a large fortress like monster lifted from propellers like the Drone Tokens with honeycomb like configurations around it's chest area.

"Zero points?" Songbird questioned.

"Misaki... what is that thing?" Yuya asked curiously.

"That is a monster that Kenny summons when he needs too." Misaki smiled over.

"It isn't enough." Yuto mentioned calmly.

Back at the duel...

"The monster summoned by the effect of Drone Force Fusion cannot be destroyed by effects! And when it's Fusion Summoned, it gains a Drone Counter equal to the Link Rating or level of the two monsters!" the Shepherd explained to Songbird. "The combined number is 4 so it gains 4 Drone Counters!"

Fortressdrone Beehive: (Drone Counter: 4)

"Beehive's effect activates! I remove as many Drone Counters as I like to summon an equal number of Drone Tokens! I remove all four Counters to summon 4 Drone Tokens!"

Fortressdrone Beehive: (Drone Counter: 4 - 4 = 0)

From the honeycomb areas came four Tokens on the field.

Drone Token: (Attack Position) x 4

"Beehive gains 1000 attack points for every Drone other then itself."

Fortressdrone Beehive: (ATK: 0 + (1000 * 5) = 5000)

"5000 points?" Songbird asked stunned.

"Now I activate the Continuous Spell, Drone Unity!" the Shepherd shows another spell.

You can tribute 1 "Drone" monster you control; draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Drone Unity" once per turn.

"During calculation if you attack a Drone, that Drone gains the attack points of every other Drone on the field!" the Shepherd explained over to her which counters the Drone Tokens, and Drone XL not being strong on there own where they will gain Beehive's points if she goes after them.

Songbird's eyes widened at that. "So any of your monsters will have 5000 attack points if I attack them?"

"Pretty much." the Shepherd sets two cards. "I set two cards, and end my turn."

"First, I'll use Assembled Nightingale's ability to use her Overlay Unit and negate the damage and her destruction, but I'll also use the effect of Lyrilusc - Phantom Feather's in my graveyard, by banishing it Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale gains the same attack points as Fortressdrone Beehive!"

Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale: (ORU: 1 - 0/ATK: 200 - 200 + 4000 = 4000)

"Which means only Beehive is destroyed!"

"And this is why I tell you, not to give opponent's an opening." the Shepherd suddenly snaps his fingers.

"What?" Songbird questioned hearing that.

"When Commandrone has at least 2 Drone Counters, the activation, and effect of a monster is negated, and destroyed, and you take 1000 damage!" the panels on Double Sniper opened up firing missiles at Assembled Nightingale.

Songbird's eyes widened as her ace monster was destroyed.

(Songbird: 1000/Hand: 1)

"Wait, but with Assembled Nightingale destroyed the only monster on the field is Recital Starling, and we both take the damage when she battles." Songbird pointed out.

"That matters little." Beehive kept on firing it's attack at Recital Starling.

"Wait a second, if this attack hits they'll both lose 3800 life points and the duel will end in a DRAW." Yugo pointed out.

Misaki however frowned knowing what her husband is doing as Beehive struck over blasting the two of them.

Songbird: 0000

Hand: 1

Field: One Set Card

Shepherd: 0000

Hand: 1

Field: Fortressdrone Beehive (Attack Position/Extra Monster Zone/Gains effect of Drone Force Fusion/ATK: 4000), Drone XL (Attack Position/LV 1/ATK: 0/Equipped with Assembled Drone), Drone Token (Attack Position) x2, Commandrone Double Sniper (Attack Position/Drone Counters: 4), Assemble Drone (Equipped to Drone XL), Drone Unity (face-up), Drone Barricade (face-up)

DRAW!

Songbird frowned. "I expected an attack so I saved my protection for your turn... if I went all out I could have fallen into a trap."

"Let me ask you something clearly: Do you want your friends, and family to die?" the Shepherd asked her simply over sounding completely serious, and enraged.

"What?" Songbird questioned. "Is that a joke?"

"Do you want them to die?" the Shepherd repeated over.

"Of course not, but I'm starting to think you do." Songbird told him coldly as she took a step forward. "You're reckless and an idiot!"

"Your the one who's the idiot!" the Shepherd snapped back. "I wouldn't make a move like that normally but you really pushed it by not taking the chance to attack to finish the match! As I already explained to your comrade earlier, the Inner Circle are not to be underestimated, and I've told you not to hold back, and what did you do!? You've done it anyway! If I was one of the Inner Circle, I would've taken you in by now after you made such a careless mistake! We cannot afford to make idiotic mistakes such as those, and let our opponents take advantage of those to use against us! I already known what your Xyz was gonna do, and you were gonna use it for a second time so I prepared over when you thrown away a chance to win over!"

From this Songbird can see, and hear that the Shepherd had went through many hardships in his life cause from him telling her things, 1 single mistake could cost everything which is what he is trying to have her, and the others to learn as he nearly lost his mother due to an accident that gave him his scar, and messed up his arm (on her birthday no less), his father having abandoned them when he was a baby, and Sota was nearly killed in a similar accident that was caused by Windy. He was helping them in his own way knowing how dangerous SOL Technologies was, and they can't afford to give the Lancers an opening for them to exploit.

SLAP!

"How much of an idiot are you!?" Songbird shouted. "Do you know every single possible move the entire Inner Circle will try? What would you have done if my set card was Magic Cylinder or Mirror Force? And how could I have done anything to beat you? I didn't have a single move that could have won the duel in case you missed that!"

Despite being turned the Shepherd still glared over. Before more can be said they heard Misaki's voice. "Sorry, that's enough you two... Just, come back... I need to talk to you all."

The Shepherd grunted over but didn't say anything logging out. Songbird logged out herself but when she did she walked right over to Kenneth.

"Well? How could I have beaten you tell me exactly what I was supposed to do if you're such a great duelist." Lulu glared.

Misaki took her shoulder over. "Lulu please... not right now. This is important for me to talk to you all about." She then turned to her husband with a small smile. "Kenny, why don't you get some flowers for your father?"

Kenneth grunted over before raising up to do just that. Emma then rose up. "I'll go follow him." She wants to confirm her suspicions about this guy so she followed him to a flower store.

"What is that guy's problem?" Yugo asked. "He's way too cold and kind of an asshole. I mean, we're on the same side so he could be a little less aggressive."

Misaki sighed over before turning. "Please, allow me to apologize on his behalf... he has had lived a very harsh life before we met... I'll tell you all why he acts like this."

They all nodded listening to that.

They all sat down from this as Misaki sighed. "Well... where to start? I guess, to start... he was abandoned by his father when he was real young."

"He was abandoned?" Yuya asked in shock.

"His father chose work over his mother, and him, and became rich." Misaki explained over with a sigh. "That incident really left Kenneth feeling really resentful of him, and founded him when he was working as a delivery person. He seen him having remarried with a daughter living a good life."

"That... I had no idea." Zuzu frowned.

"And that was only the start. Kenneth had done everything for his mother after his father had left them. After he graduated High School he had decided to pursue a higher career path instead of heading to college. Before that though, he had decided to celebrate his mother's birthday by taking her out to dinner. But while heading back home, the AI-controlled Taxi they were in malfunctioned. It crashed into an accident, and while they both survived, it damaged her spinal cord where she's wheelchair bound for the rest of her life." Misaki explained further to them.

Rin gasped covering her mouth in horror.

"That... I'm so sorry." Celina whispered.

"That day he had hated AI." Misaki sighed with tears before she turned to Lulu. "So Lulu... I'm sorry for the things he had said, but... please understand he was telling you to be much more careful. Although I don't really agree with what he's saying, I do know what he was trying to say. One bad move, and something like what he experienced will be reflected again. He would much rather not have that happen to anyone else. He's a hardened Bounty Hunter so he can miscommunicate a little but deep down he is worried for all of us. So don't take what he said so seriously okay?"

She sighed. "I understand."

"The problem is what's the right move when you don't know what your opponent is planning?" Yuri questioned.

Yusaku nodded in agreement. "There's no way to know the right move unless you know what your opponent is planning."

Just then Ai pinged over. "Oh, Yusaku you got a message, and it's about your way as a Charisma Duelist!"

Hearing that he blinked and checked the message.

It was titled, 'Challenge Accepted'.

'Dear Predator Gardener.

I'll admit, I don't believe your worth my time right now. But you quickly rose the ranks against King Fallen, White Tiger, and Sky Striker Ace - Layla, so I figure why not accept your challenge. Just know that your winning streak ends now.

From,
Bayonet-Musket, the 7th Charisma Duelist'.

Yusaku blinked. "I guess it's time for me to head in and..."

He paused. "Ai, stay with uncle Yuya."

"Not Skye like usual?" Ai asked confused.

"Not this time." Yusaku mentioned as Ai moved to Yuya's Duel Disk. "Into the VRAINS!"

Meanwhile at SOL Technologies...

Sota was doing work over after dueling another batch of Pawn Drones feeling tired still hanging on.

"Prince sir, you're being summoned to King's office." an employee mentioned.

"Tell father, I'll be there in like 2 minutes." Sota told the employee.

"Of course." the employee nodded.

When he's gone Sota looked around, and looks at his Duel Disk. "Windy you there?"

"Yes... I am." Windy's voice told him.

"Okay. Are you able to form yourself from my Duel Disk?" Sota asked him.

"I'm not sure." Windy admitted.

Sota nodded before getting up. "Just wanted to see if your okay. I'm heading to father now, just rest more." That said he walked out to the Inner Circle room.

When he arrived he noticed that King was the only one there.

"Ah Sota, take a seat." King mentioned calmly.

"Father." Sota nodded before walking sitting down, and looked around. "Where's everyone else?"

"They have their own tasks, I assume you heard of the... embarrassment Black Rook placed on our company?" King asked.

"Embarrassment?" Knowing how touchy his father was about SOL Technologies' legacy, Sota can assume it didn't end well for Black. "Sorry, I wasn't informed, I was too busy with my training, and studying. What did he do?"

"He challenged the leader of the Knights of Hanoi, and wasn't able to win despite cheating." King frowned as he clenched his fists in anger though his face remained stoically calm.

"Ouch, that must've been so frustrating." Sota frowned hearing that.

"It was, I'm making sure he doesn't let that happen again." King stated. "Though, how is your training with the World Legacy cards going?"

"Going really well father. I was able to form powerful formations with the World Gears, and it looked as though I'll be all ready soon enough." Sota answered over. "Though I am still having a little trouble with Avida itself."

"... Show me, right here Sota. We're going to duel." King told him.

"Father?" Surprised from the request Sota looked at him.

"You heard me, no Link Vrains no skills, just a father and son dueling across the table." King told him.

Sota stared before then softly smiling. "Sure father." After saying that he moved removing his Deck, and Extra Deck from his Duel Disk.

King did the same. 'Sota, if you can prove yourself in this duel by defeating me... it will be time for you to learn SOL Technologies' greatest secret.'

"DUEL!"

Meanwhile in Link VRAINS...

Predator Gardener was flying around Link VRAINS for his opponent before noticing someone waiting in a desert ranch like area. Seeing that he landed. The person looked see showing it's a blue dressed cowboy like young man with a fedora on that looked worn.

"So Predator Gardener your here." the young man spoke up.

"I am, and I got your letter." Predator Gardener nodded. "Is there a problem with my challenge?"

"Like I said over before, I believe this is a waste of my time. But your climbing up quick so I would like to have you stop thinking your better." the young man, Bayonet-Musket, shrugged over to him. "Now let us begin."

Predator Gardener did recall by Layla that the rest of the Charisma Duelists on his way to the top three will be driven only to win, and this guy Bayonet-Musket is taking him rather lightly, not thinking he's worth his time from how quick his ranking is going up.

Predator Gardener frowned at that. 'Maybe I should make a statement and finish this in one move.' "Well, alright, after you?"

"Very well." they started over.

"DUEL!"

(Dueling Theme: It's My Life by Bon Jovi)

Let the duel commence!

Bayonet-Musket 1st Turn:

"Alright the true professional's first." Bayonet-Musket waved his hand seeing his hand.

Predator Gardener frowned hearing that.

"And I'll start by summoning Magical Musketeer Caspar." Bayonet-Musket raised a card as a gold/black armored fiend with rocking yellow hair, and a red cape rose up with a large pistol in his hand.

Predator Gardener nodded seeing the card.

"And I use the spell, Ties of the Brethren." Bayonet-Musket activated a spell

Ties of the Brethren

Normal Spell Card

Pay 2000 LP, then target 1 Level 4 or lower monster you control; for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters, also Special Summon 2 monsters from your Deck, with the same Type, Attribute, and Level as that monster, but with different names from each other and that monster. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card.

(Bayonet-Musket: 2000/Hand: 3)

"By trading 2000 Life Points, I can summon 2 Monsters that have the same Attribute, Type, and Level as Caspar. The catch? I can't Special Summon anything else or attack this turn." Bayonet-Musket explained over.

"So now come out, Magical Musketeers Kidbrave, and Doc!" Bayonet-Musket placed two cards down as lights rose on both Caspar's sides. On his left was a white robe suited man with a large sniper rifle in his hands.

"Three monsters on your first turn, interesting." Predator Gardener noted.

"Well next up as a Spell or Trap card was activated in the column where Caspar is, I can add a Magical Musketeer card to my hand." Bayonet-Musket added a card.

Predator Gardener frowned but nodded seeing that.

"With that I end my turn." Bayonet-Musket ended his turn off. "Now get on with it so we can go home."

Bayonet-Musket's Hand: 4/Field: Magical Musketeer Caspar (Attack Position), Magical Musketeer Doc (Attack Position), Magical Musketeer kidbrave (Attack Position)

After damage calculation, if this card battled a monster with an equal or lower Level: You can Special Summon 1 "Predaplant" monster from your Deck, except "Predaplant Spinodionaea".

"Meh." Bayonet-Musket shrugged.

"When Spinodionaea is summoned I can place a Predator Counter on one of your monsters I and choose Kidbrave." Predator Gardener continued.

Spinodionaea knelled before sprouting a counter which bit Kidbrave's arm.

Magical Musketeer Kidbrave: (Predator Counter: 1)

"With that done, I'll sacrifice Kidbrave in order to Special Summon Predaplant Banksiogre in attack position." Predator Gardener stated calmly.

Kidbrave was forced down before the large pinecone like plant rose up.

"Got anything actually interesting?" Bayonet-Musket sounded like he's getting more bored.

Predator Gardener frowned. "I attack Caspar with Spinodionea."

The stronger plant charges at Caspar.

"Lame." Bayonet-Musket sighed with closed eyes tapping a card in his hand before a trap appeared on his field.

Magical Musket - Desperado

Normal Trap Card

If you control a "Magical Musket" monster: Target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it. You can only activate 1 "Magical Musket - Desperado" per turn.

"What?" Predator Gardener questioned. "A trap card?"

"Every Magical Musket has the effect where I can use Magical Musket spell or trap cards from the hand." Bayonet-Musket explained over. "And in Desperado's case as there is a Magical Musket on the field, 1 card on the field is destroyed."

Both Caspar, and Doc aimed there firearms at Spinodionea before starting to fire on it.

"Not quite, I have the spell Predaprime Fusion!" Predator Gardener countered. "I can chain it to your trap and so instead of being destroyed I can use Spinodionea, Ophrys Scorpio, and Banksiogre as materials for a Fusion Summon."

Predaprime Fusion

Quick-Play Spell Card

If a "Predaplant" monster(s) is on the field: Fusion Summon 1 DARK Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from either field as material, including 2 or more DARK monsters you control. You can only activate 1 "Predaprime Fusion" per turn.

"I Fusion Summon Predaplant Triphyoverutum in attack position."

(Attack Position)

Predaplant Triphyoverutum

● When your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) from their Extra Deck while you control this Fusion Summoned card (Quick Effect): You can negate the Summon, and if you do, destroy that monster(s).
● If your opponent controls a monster with a Predator Counter(s): You can Special Summon this card from your GY in Defense Position.

The bullets missed over while Bayonet-Musket looked up to the fusion monster. "Well I can use the effect of Doc." He added Kidbrave back to his hand.

"I have my own effects, Banskiogre's ability places a Predator Counter on every monster you have when it leaves the field and Triphyverutum gains the original attack of every monster on the field with a Predator Counter." Predator Gardener pointed out.

Two small plants bit over the two monsters.

Magical Musketeer Caspar: (Predator Counter: 1)

Magical Musketeer Doc: (Predator Counter: 1)

Triphyverutum: (ATK: 3000 + 1400 + 1200 = 5600)

"How about you just quit wasting my time, and finish this? I got more important things to do." Bayonet-Musket said over with crossed arms. 'Much of a drag this kid is, but once he attacks Cross-Domination in my hand will make his monster useless by losing it's points, and effects, and with Steady Hands it'll make this faster to finish.'

The Fusion Monster charged an attack firing over at Doc.

"I use two Quick-Play Spells, Magical Musket - Cross-Domination, and Steady Hands." Bayonet-Musket used two spells.

Magical Musket - Cross-Domination

Quick-Play Spell Card

If you control a "Magical Musket" monster: Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, change its ATK/DEF to 0, also it has its effects negated. You can only activate 1 "Magical Musket - Cross-Domination" per turn.

Magical Musket - Steady Hands

Quick-Play Spell Card

Target 1 "Magical Musket" monster you control; its ATK/DEF become double its original ATK/DEF until the end of this turn. It cannot attack directly during the turn you activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Magical Musket - Steady Hands" per turn.

"Steady Hands doubles Doc's points." Doc held his rifle in his hands.

Magical Musketeer Doc: (ATK: 1400 x 2 = 2800/DEF: 1200 x 2 = 2400)

"Meanwhile Cross-Domination has your monster lose it's points, and abilities."

Doc aimed firing a tranquilizer dart at the Fusion Monster. Predator Gardener paused at that before he smirked. "Is that all you can do?"

Bayonet-Musket blinked hearing that.

"I activate Forbidden Lance." Predator Gardener mentioned. "I can reduce the attack points of my monster by 800 to make him immune to all other spell and trap cards this turn."

Forbidden Lance

Quick-Play Spell Card

Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target loses 800 ATK, but is unaffected by the effects of other Spells/Traps.

Predaplant Triphyverutum: (ATK: 5600 - 800 = 4800/Unaffected by Spell/Trap Cards)

"What?" Bayonet-Musket dropped his bored look from now seeing that his victory he had known is now leaving his sight.

"Predaplant Triphyverutum continue your attack." Predator Gardener stated calmly.

Triphyverutum fired in blasting Doc where despite it's power up it was destroyed over while Bayonet-Musket cried out over landing hard against the other side of the field.

Predator Gardener: 4000

Hand: 0

Field: Predaplant Triphyoverutum (Attack Position/ATK: 4800/Unaffected to Spells/Traps)

Bayonet-Musket: 0000

Hand: 2

Field: Magical Musketeer Caspar (Attack Position)

Predator Gardener wins!

Predator Gardener sighed before logging out.

"I lost...? Me?" Bayonet-Musket slowly raise up stunned before slowly growing enraged. "A kid... who is not professional... defeated me!? ME!? One of the professional Duelists!? Oh he better not forget this, he will pay for embarrassing me like this!" He raise up turning, and logging out.

Meanwhile in King's Office...

Sota, and King had a tough duel around, and although they weren't giving each other any mercy, both of them are powerful. And eventually an outcome was decided over.

"And now... now Avramax will attack Orcustrion." Sota told over to King for the final attack. "From his ability he gains Orcustrion's points, and although Orcustrion can't be destroyed as it's Linked you still take damage."

King nodded as his life points dropped to zero. "I'm pleasantly surprised Sota, you're a skilled duelist and actually I have something to show you... though I need to inform you that despite your closeness to them, your friends are not to hear of any of this."

While looking shocked he actually won against his father, Sota looked over and softly stood up. "Something to show me, and my friends can't know of it? Do the others know about it?"

"Including us, only Bishop... not even your mother is privy to this information." King stated pressing a button as an elevator in the back of the office opened. "Come with me."

Sota softly nodded after gathering his cards walking in the elevator with King before his father pressed a button, and the elevator lowered down.

"This is SOL Technologies' most closely guarded secret." King explained. "I trust you understand what that means?"

"Yes father. Not one word of it must be shared to anyone no matter the circumstances." Sota nodded over understanding that.

King nodded as they reached the bottom floor and King walked out before leading Sota to a strange looking blade.

Sota walked over, and widen his eyes seeing the blade on the altar. Taking out his Deck he searched, and pulled out a card seeing the artwork before looking back at the blade. "Is this... The World Key?"

"It is, the true World Key... Link VRAINS is going to be the new world we create together." King told him. "You will do what Lee could not, and become the god that recreates this very world... the six Ignis, and the World Legacies will be infused into your avatar... and Link VRAINS will become reality with you as its master."

"Link VRAINS will become... reality." Sota repeated over stunned as he stared at the World Key. "So... the Pawn Drones we are developing for the real world... there gonna be my enforcers in both this world, and the new one?"

"That's correct, you're going to be the CEO of SOL Technologies, the God of Link VRAINS, and the ruler of reality itself." King told him.

Sota stared over before turning back to the World Key stunned from seeing this artifact in person. Still he is confused about something. "But father... where did you find this? Last in the story, Lib had it just journeying to whatever takes her next with Imduk, and Ningirsu."

"True, and it remained in her family ever since... until this day." King told Sota. "Lib, is our ancestor... though she was a fool not to use the World Key for its true purpose... we'll do what she failed to do."

"She failed?" Sota asked confused hearing that. "But... all that had happened was to stop Lee from destroying everything, and keeping the Great Darkness from consuming this world."

"She failed to control the World Gears... you won't Sota... that's what you've been training for." King told him turning to his son. "Do you understand Sota?"

"Control the World Gears..." Sota stared before reaching to his Deck taking out the card of the World Gears as the Core of Link VRAINS in card form. "Controlling it... to truly become one of the Divine to really obtain what Lee tried to do eons ago. 'One could obtain the Power of God'."

"You are now the third person to know of this secret, and you are not to tell a single person. The second phase has started." King told him. "It's only a matter of time."

Sota stared more before slowly turning knowing what this means. Now they are under a steady-clock down where reality will be altered once it's all complete. The Ignis, the Pawn Drones, the World Legacies all as stepping stones for him to truly achieve the power of God. Now he knows the ultimate goal SOL Technologies is set to serve, and honestly? He isn't for it. Still he has to do his work over.

"I understand father. I have already got the WIND Ignis with me. The rest of the Ignis will be obtained in due time." Sota nodded over towards King from this. "Though can I ask one question?"

"What is it?" King inquired calmly.

"If this succeeds... what's going to happen to everyone?" Sota softly asked. "You, mother, Akira, Emma, everyone?"

"That's up to you Sota... you'll be the god." King smirked. 'At least, in name... but even a god can be controlled.'

Ulrich362: Well... I think the phrase not good comes to mind?

bopdog111: Yup. King, and Sota are descendants of Ib the wielder of the World Key before it became it's World Legacy form.

Ulrich362: True, and of course Sota will tell everyone right?

bopdog111: Well King made it perfectly clear he can't. And if he knows his father enough, he can tell if Sota spilled the biggest secret of SOL.

Ulrich362: True, very true, see you in the next chapter.

bopdog111: Be sure to review!
