bopdog111: Well that aside Lightning is gonna be pulling all the stops so the final wave is coming quick. The Lancers need to prepare, and be ready against the last assault.

After the match the Ignis all returned, and relayed what they had been told by Lightning, and White Rook alongside Lightning's latest attack will be his last final one.
"The last..." Lilly whispered hearing that as she turned to the other Knights of Hanoi. "So it's do or die... either he's able to coexist... or he isn't, right?"
"Yes. The LIGHT Ignis is preparing for it's final attack." Alec confirmed over. "We will destroy it before it can retreat."
"Let's apprehend it for now. If there is a chance it can co-exist thanks to Midna's presence, then we can't rush things." Ryoken spoke to them before turning to Lilly. "Lilly, you, and Midna together need to find the LIGHT Ignis, and engage him yourselves."
She nodded at that.
"How many Bits or Boots do you think there's going to be?" Yuya asked them.
"Given from how much time has passed... probably in the thousands." Clarissa threw out her best guess. "We still have our lesser Knights of Hanoi to deal with the garbage while our targets focus on the LIGHT Ignis, and his other toys."
"Bohman, and Harlin." Dr. Genome confirmed over those other two. "We know of Bohman's skill, and capabilities, and the LIGHT Ignis' unpredictable playstyles, and the ability to adapt well. We don't know what the other one is like."
"Right now he holds Jin's consciousness data. Dueling separately is not impossible but the LIGHT Ignis probably isn't the one to let go of his origin. He has some use to it." Alec answered over his guess.
"As for SOL Technologies, I believe Sota having Windy alongside the recent blunder the Ignis had exploited had made them wait this out." Steve added over to them. "They probably won't make a move but let's be on a lookout in case they do anything."
"Right, in that case Ryoken and Yusaku will be the ones in charge." Declan noted calmly.
The two nodded together figuring that is the best course of action. Earth meanwhile with his Duel Disk set with the other three was in deep thought. From the time all the Ignis we're together, they trusted Lightning as there leader. Then when the Hanoi attacked, alongside them being free thanks to both Ai, and Aqua, Lightning had decided to subjugate all of humanity, and from what they been told of by Sota, Windy was only in kahoots from Lightning messing with his programming to make him obey him. The thought of him doing this to Aqua filled him with RAGE. It was at that time he decided when Lightning pops up, and makes a move...
He will be the one to stop him.
"Earth?" Aqua asked noticing his expression. "What is it?"
Earth noticing he had caught Aqua's attention by how she's looking at him schooled his expression. "Just thinking Aqua. A lot to think about." Something that's true, he does have a lot to think about so Aqua didn't detect any lying.
She looked unsure but nodded.
"Ok, so what's our plan for this battle?" Emma asked.
"Are we all alone?" Ryoken asked them around Cafe Nom if there all alone without any bystanders, pedestrians, or cameras to see them.
"Yeah, there's nobody here." Sylvio nodded.
"Good." At Ryoken's nod Sachiko placed down a device before it shows a large hologram. A hologram of what looked like an area where Lightning's attack will most likely happen as it's within Mirror Link VRAINS a separate VRAINS server they've discovered when they fought Lightning's forces. The sector where it will be in seems to be near Lightning's Palace that they had managed to find.
"Is that where he is?" Theodore asked seeing the hologram.
"Indeed. We had managed to scan the area. Now we have several areas of attack." Ryoken spoke over to them. "Me, and Playmaker will lead the charge ahead. All of the lesser Knights of Hanoi will deal with the Bits and Boots. Our best bet would be that the LIGHT Ignis stays within his palace." He gestures over to the Palace. "We will appear in this sector," He gestured to an area in front of the Palace. "we will send out the lesser Knights of Hanoi first so that the Bits and Boots will focus completely on them. Once there attention is off us, we will all storm into the Palace, eliminate any opposition, and deal with Bohman, Harlin, and the LIGHT Ignis. Strike teams will also eliminate any big threats. Shepherd, Ghost Gal, and Rosaly will lead these strike teams. Additionally me, and Playmaker will also lead a team with all of the current Ignis we have, and there origins. Nyx, and Midna are the most vital assets we have so no matter what, we protect them at all costs."
"That makes sense." Yugo nodded hearing that only to pause. "Who should be on each team?"
"Right now Faust is sending everyone which Team there on." Ryoken answered over to them looking to Alec who is typing on his laptop. "Additionally there are exhaust points. Live Star, Dr. Genome, Fiend Performer (Sylvio), and White Tiger will hold the main relief point where you need to rest, and recover. Dragon Empress, D/D Executive, Baira, Magician, and Faust will lead the lesser Knights of Hanoi to distract the Bits and Boots, and keep there attention off of us. There main tactic is the Voyage to Hell which is simple but effective. Always has several drawbacks we can exploit."
"That works, don't worry we'll make sure you all have a place to get your strength back if you need it." Sylvio reassured them.
"Me, and Playmaker's Team will lead all the available strike teams." Ryoken further spoken up. "As soon as we storm the Palace our objection is to search for the LIGHT Ignis, and eliminate any opposition. Anyone that encounters Bohman, or Harlin are free to engage, and destroy them if possible. However if anyone encounters the LIGHT Ignis do not engage, and inform me, and Playmaker's team immediately that way Midna, and Nyx can head in to finish this."
"Alright, does everyone know what they need to be doing?" Yusaku asked the gathered group.
Everyone all nodded with Earth paying some attention before noticing something on Cal's computer on Mirror Link VRAINS. The Palace gateway is available where the Bits, and Boots are. Narrowing his eyes knowing the attack is eminent he retreated down into Link VRAINS where they didn't notice while the debriefing happened.
"Alright are we all ready!?" Ai grinned over to his fellow Ignis. "Okay then just listen to me, Playmaker, and Varis guys! Earth, we're gonna-" He turned where Earth was only all he sees is Steve's Duel Disk surprising them. "Where's Earth?"
"Don't tell me he went in alone." Zuzu frowned.
"Why would he do that? He knows that charging in alone is suicide." Flame is skeptical to while Earth is a terrific Duelist he knows that Earth isn't as reckless as Ai. Well maybe not reckless at all but this wasn't something he would do.
Aqua frowned. "This isn't like him... we need to go in after him."
"I agree, everyone we're heading in." Ryoken stated calmly. "Everyone get to your positions... Theodore, you and the FIRE Ignis need to get to the EARTH Ignis before it does anything reckless."
"Got it." Theodore nodded.
However before they can head in Cal's computer started beeping in alert catching said man off guard as he checks, and widens his eyes. "Uh, you all should probably need to see this. NOW!" He said this saying they absolutely need to view what's going on. Hearing that they all looked at the screen. They all couldn't see so Alec, and Genome replaced the hologram with what the video is playing.
Earth was in his wooden Avatar materializing in the middle of the Bit, and Boot forces which they noticed, and turned over to defend only for him to declare. "LIGHTNINNNNNNG!" His call echoed through the field, and through the Palace. Suddenly the door of the Palace begins to open slowly as the Bits and Boots turned over attention away from Earth as what stepped out was Lightning himself on Jin's arm.
"Stand aside. This is my battle." Lightning commanded his foot soldiers not taking his eyes off of Earth which they proceeded doing immediately bowing to Lightning clearing space between both the rouge Ignis, and the passionate one.
"That... what's he thinking!?" Ai panicked. "Earth doesn't have a chance against Lightning!"
"Earth... I never thought you'd be one to head in like this when my attack is about to launch." Lightning stared over to Earth as he discussed. "I suppose you have some words to share before the war begins?"
"Yes. I'll stop it before it does." Earth answered over glaring at him. "The others have thoughts of you changing but I came over to stop you myself."
"Hn. Well your quite reckless, or suicidal. Either way, you've surprised me." Lightning closed his eyes as he discussed this over. "You came in here alone without backup to confront me by yourself? Well, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, very soon we will unite forever more once Bohman's task is complete."
"It will never be completed. Cause by taking you out now, your entire scheme will be undone. And you will pay for trying to force Aqua into this!" Earth yelled out at him revealing why he came alone all for Aqua's sake.
Aqua's eyes widened hearing that as she put a hand over her chest.
"Well, I suppose it makes total sense. You always were the passionate one when it comes to Aqua." Lightning spoke now understanding why Earth has came in by himself, something that the EARTH Ignis doesn't do. "But very soon it won't make a difference. We will be forever merged into Bohman, and become perfect. Either it succeeds, or I die. So Earth you being here saves me a lot of effort. Windy may have been stolen right now but Bohman with five of us into him will easily get him back."
"So the choice is clear for what's gonna happen next?" Earth stared over before his Avatar, and Jin readied over.
"Indeed Earth, let's finish this!" Lightning declared ready to start this battle between Ignises as the Master Duel Layout appeared.
"DUEL!"

"Anyone, thoughts of Earth's chances?" Despite what Ai said earlier, Flame knows Earth is a powerful duelist, and is sure one of the few Duelists that has a chance of stopping Lightning.
"Absolutely zero." Steve answered with a frown. "He doesn't have a chance against the LIGHT Ignis."
"Let's have hope." Aqua doesn't want Earth to have no support so she hopes he can be ready.
Earth 1st Turn:
"I'll be going first!" Earth called as he started his turn. "By discarding G Golem Pebble Dog from my hand, I can reduce G Golem Rock Hammer's level in my hand by 2!" He shows the card before adding over. "Then Pebble Dog's effect activates! As it was sent from my hand to the graveyard, I take a G Golem to my hand!" His avatar takes a card showing it to Lightning. "Then with it's Level reduced, I summon G Golem Rock Hammer!"

"A decent start. Already Crystal Heart, and Invalid Dolmen are ready for whatever Lightning has." Yuya spoke up as they watched. "The strength of Earth's monsters can overpower Judgement Arrows the longer this is dragged on."
"No, it can't." Steve frowned looking at the field.
"There is Invalid Dolmen who continues to gain strength the longer Earth can keep reviving it, and can protect Crystal Heart from whatever Lightning has." Zuzu told over. "Are you saying you don't trust Earth, Steve?"
"It isn't a matter of trust, out of everyone here I know the EARTH Ignis better than anyone else... and as a result I can tell you... he's skilled and can put up a strong fight but this is one duel he can't win." Steve answered. "After all, I am his origin."
"Maybe trust in your Ignis, and support him."
With those words from Lulu they continued to watch.

Jin discarded Gladius as he spoke this. "That way Speculata, Galea, and Sica revives!" The three statues rose below Tribunus Militum.

As it has no attack points Crystal Heart wasn't effected by Invalid Dolmen is, and as this isn't an activated effect Invalid Dolmen doesn't block it.

"No just lowered the points enough where the boost isn't in effect." Yusaku corrected over from this. "Earth still has the advantage, Lightning's monsters are forced to attack Invalid Dolmen, and even with it's boost from Crystal Heart gone, it's still stronger then any of Lightning's monsters."
"I said cancelled it out, not negated." Flame told Yusaku. "The points Crystal Heart gives Invalid Dolmen and the points Tribunus Militum takes away are exactly the same, ergo they cancel each other out leaving Earth's monster at its original point value... though you're correct it's still the most powerful monster on the field."
"And now I activate Tribunus Militum's ability! For every Link Marker, Locum Tenens has, a card on our field has it's effects negated! I pick Crystal Heart, and Invalid Dolmen." Lightning selected as the two were shined.
Earth however countered. "That's pointless! Due to the effect of Invalid Dolmen, co-linked monsters on my field are unaffected to your activated monster effects!" Invalid Dolmen reflected the light before it can effect them both.
"That's good." Ai mentioned.
"Very well then." Lightning closed his eyes. "Then I use Speculata, and Sica!" The two flew entering the arrows. "Link Summon! Link 2, Armatos Legio Centurion!"

As that happened Aqua appeared to try and get to Earth. Sensing her Earth turned over. "Aqua?"
"What are you doing? Why did you go in alone?" she asked him with tears.
"I had too... it was the only way to keep you from getting involved, and possibly lost forever." Earth said looking down. "I can't take that risk knowing that I wasn't there to protect you."
"Because of what happened to Windy correct?" Lightning inquired.
They turned over to him as he stared over. "After he was defeated by his origin, and forcibly taken, you were afraid the same will happen to her." Earth glared over from this clenching his hands. "Looks like I was spot on."
"Shut up!" Earth yelled at him which made Lightning shrugged.
"This is bad, Lightning's getting in his head." Rin frowned. "He might be an AI but if he gets emotional he'll make mistakes."
"Anyway back to the duel." Lightning closed his eyes before raising his arm. "First off by banishing Decurion from the graveyard, I can increase Cassius' scale equal to the Link Rating of Decuion."

"Link 4 with 3000 points!" Ai panicked seeing it that it's stronger then Invalid Dolmen now.
Earth grunted over from this over as Lightning declared. "Time to begin the road to destruction. Magnus Dux attack G Golem Invalid Dolmen!" Mangus Dux charged the cannons before firing it at Invalid Dolmen who armed itself pounding it's fists in front of where Crystal Heart it which the cannon blasts connected with destroying Invalid Dolmen while Earth was pushed back slightly. (Earth: 3500/Hand: 2)
All that remained from the destruction was Crystal Heart with it's single GG Counter.
"This is bad." Riley frowned nervously.
Earth grunted over before calling. "Invalid Dolmen's effect activates! As it's destroyed the effects of all cards on your field are negated!" A dark mist corroded over before charging in on Lightning's field.
Lightning has a counter though. "Magnus Dux's effect activates! As a Link Monster activates it's special ability, Magnus Dux negates the effect, and destroys the card!" The duke on Magnus Dux raised it's scepter to activate the effect.
"I won't let you! I activate the effect of G Golem Marble Wall in my hand!" Earth countered over with an effect of his own. "When my opponent activates a Monster Effect during battle, I can discard this card to negate that card's effect!" He discarded it as Magnus Dux's effect failed which allowed the mist to enveloped Lightning's entire field.

"Marble Wall's other effect! For the rest of this turn, monsters in the Extra Monster Zones aren't destroyed in battle!" Earth called as Tribunus Militum struck a barrier with it's sword. "In addition all damage we take from those battles is halved!" (Earth: 2500/Hand: 1)
"Locum Tenens it's your turn!" Lightning called as Locum Tenens fired from a bow which pierced through Crystal Heart but didn't destroy it with Earth surviving the attack. (Earth: 1600/Hand: 1)
"That was way too close." Yuya frowned. "But he still has life points, and he can bring back Invalid Dolmen right?"
"It won't be enough." Steve frowned.
"Appear the circuit that guides the light!" Lightning isn't done quite yet as Locum Tenens, and Magnus Dux entered the arrows. "Link Summon! Link 2, Armatos Legio Pilus Prior!"

"He really loves her." Lilly whispered as even the other Knights of Hanoi were caught slightly off guard by that sudden declaration.

Roaring up as it flew was a large pitch black dragon made of Obsidian with burning red coal eyes as it flew above roaring while Crystal Heart attaches itself to it's chest.

With all that he sets a powerful defense that protects Crystal Heart, and makes Obsidian Dragon incredibly difficult to defeat.
"If this works, he'll win the duel." Sylvio realized.
"Not really. Both of those Links have 2000 attack points. At best all it can do is 1800 points." Alec spoke up as he watches. "The EARTH Ignis probably reached it's limit by this point."
"But he can attack twice." Sora pointed out. "Plus shouldn't Crystal Heart have 500 attack points?"
"It only affects EARTH monsters. Crystal Heart is WATER." Yusaku answered as he stared. "Earth has a huge lead but Lightning is up to something." Then noticing something he blinked. "Wait, what's that in Earth's hand?" He sees the card in Earth's hand, and it looks familiar.
"Enhance the image." Ryoken told Alec.
Alec nodded about to do so but they noticed Earth is staring at it thinking which made Alec stop.
'Aqua... everyone... I know how much harm, and suffering this card causes... I'm well aware of the kind of destruction this uses. But Aqua... for you I am willing to do ANYTHING... even betraying my own principles.' Earth stared before looking at Lightning who blinked. "I now activate a familiar spell, Lightning!" He activates the card as a lightning bolt shot down on his field.
"No way..." Ai whispered in disbelief.
The bolt faded as it reveals a rather FAMILIAR Link Spell.

Aqua stares in shock from the card before she begins to hear Earth speak. "I'm quite aware..."
"Earth?" she asked turning to him.
"I'm very well aware of the destruction, and suffering Judgement Arrows have brought... it destroyed our home... killed so many of our friends." Earth continued speaking. "Caused a lot of chaos... I know just how horrible it is... but now it is this same card that can end this war before it can begin! For Aqua, I will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I can even using such cards like Judgement Arrows! Nothing to me is more important then seeing Aqua is safe, and sound from anyone!"
"... I feel the same." Lightning stated to Earth. "What happened to Windy, I truly wish it could have been prevented, but the actions taken by the humans have proven they cannot be trusted... We serve no purpose to them, they created a replacement without stopping to consider we may mourn our fallen comrade. I can offer you and Aqua safety... I promise you that the humans will not touch her again."
He offered one of his hands.
"We're on the same side, we need not fight amongst ourselves."
Earth narrowed his eyes. "You honestly think after everything, that had happened, I be on your side? No, you don't care about us. All you want us for is having us be absorbed into some vessel on a quest for conquering! I will stop you using anything, and everything I have if it's the last thing I do!"
"Earth... he's... he's not lying." Aqua told him. "He's telling the truth."
"Of course he is, nothing he said was a lie... it simply isn't the entire truth." Ryoken noted.
Earth growled over from this as he kept glaring still having his doubts. "Then why... why are you going this far then? What was it all for!?"
"...A personal mission I undertaken by myself." Lightning spoke up answering.
"A personal mission?" Aqua asked hearing that.
"...The truth. The simulations are not lying when humanity will face extinction." Lightning answered as he explained this. "I know the reason why it happens. I AM the reason why we Ignis are unable to co-exist!"
"What?" Earth questioned hearing that.
"You?" Aqua asked shocked hearing that.
"Varis." Lightning looked up where he knows Ryoken is watching. "You probably figured it out by now. Inform them of it. My 'greatest crime'."
Ryoken narrowed his eyes hearing that while everyone turned over to him.
"What's he talking about?" Yugo questioned. "What crime?"
"...Lightning's greatest crime is as follows. Free will where is it located at?" Ryoken turned to Ai as it's being listened by the Ignis in Mirror Link VRAINS including Bohman, and Harlin who appeared nearby.
"Huh? Uh at the brain?"
"Your confusing it with memories of the past." Ryoken stated over before he continued on. "Me, and Sachiko together looked through the simulations, and we had discovered that individually each Ignis has a chance of co-existing. It's when there grouped together that it destroys humanity. We managed to find out how this happened."
"Lightning ran the same simulations as we have." Sachiko spoke up in the same grim tone. "After the Ignis completed Cyberse World he ran these simulations himself to see if humanity co-existing is possible. Some simulations where one Ignis is possible but grouped together is when it results in chaos. The reason why it always results in such a result is that..."
"The LIGHT Ignis is the reason why there will be mutual destruction on both sides." Ryoken revealed which shocked everyone with only said Ignis looking down. "Each of the Ignis have grand abilities, and are perfect figures. However for Lightning's case, he is a flawed creation inferior to the Ignis. He will always destroy humanity unless something is done to prevent it. That is why the Hanoi are after the Ignis, to eliminate the LIGHT Ignis, and the others if they interfere."
"But that's why we created Midna, so she can help Lightning co-exist... so we don't have to destroy each other." Lilly pointed out. "Ryoken, our daughter can help him."
"It's already done."
They all turned over to Lightning who looked down. "All of this... was a do or die plan." He raised his head where they are shocked seeing tears in his eyes. "I am unable to co-exist... and kill the humans, and my friends... I did not wish for this but the only way I see how it can be avoided... is if I die." They all widen there eyes more as he confessed. "All of this... the destruction... Judgement Arrows... Bohman... everything has all been done so I can die... If I get removed from the simulations my friends can co-exist... I live everything will be destroyed!"
His clenched hands trembled as he continues his confession. "All of this was made to ensure that I can die knowing it will not result in the simulations! The hate, the anger, the death, the destruction, ALL OF IT was so humanity, and everyone else will hate me enough so I can die without regrets, and that they will not stop to let me live, and endanger everyone! That is why I created Bohman for the idea of making the perfect Ignis. My true plan is to die in this war, not have my friends killed out of some petty grudge of being inferior! If Bohman succeeded, we all be together but I much prefer not that! If he failed, and my termination happens, it's worth all I had done so I can die!"
He then looked over towards Aqua, and Earth. "Now you know the truth! All of this is done so me the harbinger of destruction, and death can die before I have a chance to do so! I kept this cause I don't want you all to find another way, and by then it be too late! All of this will end with me dying, that's what I promised!"
"That won't happen." Aqua told Lightning. "We're going to help you... all of us, and we'll get Windy back too. Earth?"
He looked at Lightning before closing his eyes and deactivating his Duel Disk as he and Aqua vanished together.
"It's already too late." Before Earth deactivated his Duel Disk they heard that from Lightning who is looking down. "The countdown of destruction has already began even before I came up with this plan... I have Kiyoshi Kogami's blood on my hands to prove that!" That shocked the Knights of Hanoi from thinking SOL's was responsible for Kiyoshi's comatose state but they weren't expecting what he just said.
"What?" Yuya questioned.
"He... he killed our father?" Sachiko asked in disbelief.
"Knights of Hanoi... SOL Technologies wasn't never the one who placed that virus. I was the one that done it!" Lightning revealed with tear stricken eyes. "When he had seen the simulations, the same time as me, I was afraid he was going to eliminate my friends! I placed the virus on him to stop it but I realized you will view this as an attack by the Ignis endangering my friends further! And I was also the one why Jin Kolter is traumatized!"
"What!?" Cal asked shocked.
"During the time he was trapped, I wanted to give him hope. So I give him images of people rescuing him. But I accidentally switched it to corpses scaring him, and it traumatized him to what he was today! Don't you all see already I'm causing death, destruction, and discord!" Lightning yelled out as he lets out all of his burdens. "So please in this war, I need to be dead so humanity can be saved! So my friends can live! It's my only wish!"
"... No." Ryoken stated simply.
"If you will not... not do it... then I will continue on to make you do it." Lightning said as he readied for more while Earth lost his will to keep fighting. "Earth think about it... I will HURT Aqua if you don't fight!"
"What?" Using Aqua to make Earth fight, Lightning can see Earth is getting agitated, and angry.
"Lightning stop!" Aqua cried out. "We don't have to go that far."
"Please Earth if you care about Aqua stop me before I can hurt her or I kill her!" Lightning called out.
Sparking his resolve to battle Earth yelled out raising an arm. "Battle! Obsidian Dragon!" Obsidian Dragon roared raising up.

"Earth don't!" Aqua cried out seeing that.

Obsidian Dragon charged in to battle before Earth called. "As Obsidian Dragon is battling your forbidden from using spell or trap cards!" Obsidian Dragon moves to Tribnus Militum who armed itself.
Lightning stared before he said. "...I already activated a card. To spark more hatred, I will do what I can." He revealed he activated a trap.

"Are they alright!?" Ai gasped in shock.
The smoke slowly faded showing all three Ignis were surrounded by a barrier Lightning prepared defending them all from the damage while Lightning has Aqua in his arms. Slowly he pulled away as he dispelled the barrier looking at Aqua. "Why... did you do that?"
She was trembling before embracing him tightly. "How could you think of doing that!?"
"Aqua..."
"Aqua!" Earth gasped running over. "Are you alright, you hurt!? What did he do!?" From Lightning's earlier comments he's ignoring the LIGHT Ignis while he's trying to check Aqua.
SLAP!
Aqua gave him a slap which shocked him before he turned over to Aqua.
"What were you thinking?" Aqua questioned.
"A-Aqua I..."
"I'd hated doing that to you Jin." They looked where Lightning turned away with a hand on his chest. "I hoped the conscious data I used wasn't enough to harm you. Even though I wished for death, Earth isn't the one I want to finish me off." With closed eyes he generates a gold orb handing it to Aqua. "It's Jin's consciousness data. He should be alright now, I don't need him anymore... the thought of him as a hostage doesn't seem necessary for me anymore."
"Lightning..." Aqua whispered taking it before looking at him. "I promise, we'll do everything we can to help you."
"...Please don't. I'm not going to stop until I'm dead." Lightning told her before turning with tears. "Please if you really want to help just let me accept my fate. I will fight in this fight, and will die like I planned. Bohman, Harlin, and my troops will attack anything if you don't fight. So you either let them cause destruction, and humanity will be dead that way, or you can stop me, and I accept my fate." He floated back before saying. "I'll wait for your answer by tomorrow but not anymore. Just please, pick the right choice." That said he, Bohman, and Harlin went back into the Palace while the Bits and Boots vanished.

bopdog111: Yeah same reaction. What you all thought we're having him be a truly remorseless villain? Fat chance, he's a tragic villain who's so poorly rushed when we think he has a chance to be redeemed.
Ulrich362: But... with how he's acting he may not let himself be redeemed.
bopdog111: Not by himself. He doesn't trust himself that the simulations won't happen even if he lives. So adament on it he's willing to carry it out so he can die. The Lancers, and there allies need to stop the destruction that the war will carry out but now they need to save Lightning from his pain. Midna is the key so they will make sure they will save Lightning from his self-destruction.
