Chapter 3: Sleepover Girls
-On September 22, Retroville's time is 3 p.m.-
The weather is sunny and hot (84F temperature), but it's not too hot outside. Team Neutron is in the classroom after watching the pep rally at the gymnasium.
"Dude, that was awesome," Nick remarked. "I love to watch a pep rally."
"Yes, it was," Britney said. "Me too."
"All right, class. Here's your test score," Mrs. Conway lectured these students, giving them a paper for these grades. She's a world history teacher in the seventh period.
Team Neutron got a history test score: Jimmy and Cindy are 100, Gina is 91, Nick is 84, Libby and Britney are 78, Carl is 70, and Sheen is 42.
"Quit copying my fricking score, Nerdtron!" Cindy sarcastically said. "You always got 100 all the time! And I'm too tired because of you!"
"Whatever, that's what I did!" Jimmy shouted. "I wish you would be getting some wrong answers!"
"Oh, yeah!" Cindy rudely said.
"Jimmy! Cindy! Will you both stop arguing like that?!" Mrs. Conway proclaimed while Jimmy and Cindy sheepingly grinned.
-The school rang the bell-
"All right, students. It's time to go home and have a great weekend," Mrs. Conway said. "Sheen, I need to tell you something. And I'm concerned about your grade."
Those students left the classroom to go home, except Sheen.
"Sheen, your score grade on the chapter 3 test looks horrible!" Mrs. Conway declared. "You attempted to cheat on these students' exams today, and it's unacceptable! I'll immediately call the principal about you will have lunch isolation on Monday! Next time, try to improve your grades and study these reviews before taking an exam. Don't be dreaming yourself, do you understand me?"
"Yes, ma'am, I understand," Sheen bluntly said.
"All right, let's go home," Mrs. Conway said, getting a little smile.
Sheen finally left the classroom, meeting Jimmy, Carl, and Nick.
"Boys, who wants to watch the football game tonight?" Jimmy asked.
"Yeah!" Carl and Sheen exclaimed in unison. "Go, Rangers, Go!"
"I'll be leaving soon for San Antonio to play the varsity men's soccer tournament this weekend," Nick remarked. "See you, Nerd Bomb."
"All right, Nick," Jimmy nodded. "Good luck to play a tournament."
Nick wordlessly nodded, thinking. (My best friend, Butch is playing on varsity football as a linebacker. Plus, Ike is a wide receiver and defensive back. Nathan is a running back. Recently, I heard Terry Finster is a star football player at Western High School, and he's one of the best defensive ends on the high school football teams.)
"Hey, Nick, will you play football next year?" Carl asked.
"I don't know yet," Nick shrugged his shoulders.
"Hi, Jimmy," Betty flirtatiously greeted as she approached the hallway. She was a sophomore year. She also joined the cheerleading team in the fall and winter seasons. "See you tonight."
"Hey, gorgeous Miss Quinlan," Jimmy flirtatiously greeted. "You too."
-Later that time-
Cindy, Libby, Gina, and Britney walked around the neighbors.
"Gina, next time, you need to flip over the paper to hide these questions when Sheen tries to cheat on your exam," Cindy remarked. "It wasn't your fault, so he did."
"You're not only of us, so he cheated on our classmates," Libby added.
"Okay, I will," Gina nodded.
"Girls, you're all invited to come to my house for a sleepover in one night," Cindy told her friends. "You need to bring your own sleeping bag and luggage. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit, towel, and pajamas."
"Okay, I will," Libby, Gina, and Britney said in unison before they went home to get their own things.
Cindy wordlessly thought, (Despite my mother being too strict with me, she's still allowing my friends to come into my house.)
-In 30 minutes later, in Cindy's house-
"Hello, girls," Cindy happily greeted. "Welcome to our sleepover."
"Cindy, I wonder if Jimmy and his friends will come to your house?" Britney asked.
"No! I won't allow Jimmy, other boys, and Betty Quinlan to come in my house, Britney!" Cindy proclaimed. "I don't want to hear about Jimmy using his fricking inventions who ruined my darn things last time! And Sheen is such a lunatic!"
"Oh, okay, then..." Britney sighed.
"I wish Sheen needs to learn his lessons, girl," Libby remarked.
"Yeah, he should!" Cindy bluntly said. "My mom said she would call to order a pizza for dinner with us, but my dad is in Philadelphia for his work in two weeks. What's the guess? Pizza Party! And Girls' Sleepover!"
"Yeah!" exclaimed the four teenage girls in unison as they slapped their hands a high five. "High five!"
"Who wants to watch a movie named The Prince of Egypt?" Cindy wondered.
"Yeah, girl!" Libby happily exclaimed. "That's my favorite movie since I was a child."
Cindy held the TV remote, pressed the power button, and switched her DVD player to the proper input. Then, she pushed the eject button to open the device. She placed a DVD inside and tapped the button again to close the player. After this, she hit the play button to start the movie. Those four teenagers began watching the film while they sat on the couch.
-Nearly 2 hours later-
"Kids, time to eat dinner," Sasha told these teenagers as she brought the pizza boxes after taking them from the pizza delivery. She placed these pizza boxes, boneless spicy chicken with a peel of celery (Sasha Vortex cooked them as homemade) onto the dishware plate, lid plastic squeeze bottle of a ranch, and kind of sodas or purified water bottles onto the rectangular dining table in the kitchen. "Libby, do you want me to give you the garden salad?"
"No, thanks," Libby replied. "My family convinced me to eat some meats and seafood last month. I tried to eat some meat, then I liked them. Now, I'm stopping being vegetarian."
"Okay, then," Sasha said.
These four teenagers and Sasha began placing one or two pizzas and a few boneless spicy chickens on their plates, and they sat right on the dinner chair. They all gathered together to eat the pizza and converse along the way.
-In an hour later-
After these four teenagers and Sasha finished eating dinner, Cindy told her best friends, "Let's change your swimsuits and play swimming at the pool. My mom said not to share in the bathroom. So, who's first to change clothes?"
"I'm first," Gina replied as she raised her hand.
"All right," Cindy nodded. "When we are finished swimming, we need to go to take a shower. It'd better wait your turn, all of you."
"Okay," Libby, Gina, and Britney nodded in unison.
"Look, we're not lesbians," Cindy remarked.
"Yeah, girl," Libby said.
Cindy's house has a swimming pool with a volleyball net outside in her backyard. Those four teenagers changed their swimsuits, so Cindy and Libby were the same color (it's from the episode Beach Party Mummy). Gina wore a light blue floral ruched one-piece swimsuit. Britney wore a yellow Women's ruffled, v-neck lace-up one-piece swimsuit.
"We're all our junior varsity volleyball team!" Cindy eagerly said.
"Yeah!" exclaimed the four teenagers.
Four teenagers played volleyball in a swimming pool for about 50 minutes until Sasha Vortex told these kids, "Girls, time to get a shower. It's civil twilight right now. And it's getting dark sky soon. Don't be sharing together in the bathroom. Remember?"
"Yeah, I got it, Mom," Cindy said.
-In 52 minutes later-
Those four teenage girls finished showering and are now wearing their pajamas. Gina wore a heather grey short-sleeved button-front top with a notched collar and shorts with elastic drawstring waist of her pajamas. They sat along in the conversation together in Cindy's bedroom.
"Gina, I think my mother said hi to you, and how are you?" Britney said.
"I say hi, and I'm doing great, so will you tell her for me, please?" Gina requested.
"All right, I will..." Britney nodded.
"Gina, how are you doing with Royce?" Libby asked. "I'm sure he likes you so much."
"I was doing great with him," Gina replied. "Royce, his parents, and I will go to the Retro-Land, eat at the restaurant, and play bowling next week."
"That's amazing, girl!" Libby happily said as she patted Gina on the shoulder. "Have fun with your boyfriend. And enjoy!"
"He feels blessed to have you in his life," Britney added.
"Thank you, both," Gina smiled, thinking. (Royce is going to San Antonio to play in the varsity men's soccer tournament this weekend. And Nick, too.)
"You're welcome, girl," Libby smiled.
"Girls, I remembered when I always beat Nerdtron numerous times on the relay race last month," Cindy remarked. "What do you think?"
"After eating lunch, it was time for gym class. Carl and I started running against each other, and then I handed Libby a respective baton," Gina explained. "Carl slowly ran on the correct way, but he was out of breath until he fainted. Sheen waited so long and yelled at Carl like a hurry-up, slowpoke!"
"Yeah, Sheen acts doing stupid things," Libby added. "He also kissed my hand over and over again. And he said he'll become his Race Queen."
"I was arguing with Jimmy before Libby handed me the baton," Cindy added. "Jimmy decided to make his legs run faster, but he was no match for me. I started running against him each other until I crossed the finish line. A gym coach placed a blue ribbon on my chest while I fricking won! I bet Nerdtron screwed up all the time!"
"Yeah, girl, I bet!" Libby sarcastically said.
"What's next?" Britney wondered.
"The next day, he uses some special chemical sneakers made from thermal silicone like a frictionless environment around his stupid shoes. I'm sure he will beat me or not," Cindy explained again. "However, he stopped running close to an inch away from the finish line. I pointed at the sky while Jimmy looked around, and then I quickly ran to cross the finish line. He would never have won ever!"
These girls started laughing.
"You remembered when you accidentally entered the boys' bathroom last time?" Libby asked.
"Yeah," Cindy replied. "When I was a child, Jimmy wanted revenge with his power sneakers alive. However, I couldn't see Jimmy anywhere when jumping the rope. A ghost ran right towards the jump rope and pulled it, causing me to trip and fall onto the ground. And then, it started tying me around the rope to spin into the boys' bathroom. I backed out of the bathroom when Nick Dean began walking toward me, and he said, 'You're not a dude.' That made me so embarrassed."
"Ohh, dang, that sounds dreadful," Gina said.
"Did Jimmy get revenge on you, girl?" Libby asked.
"Umm, nothing," Cindy replied. "I think his darn special sneakers out of the power immediately, unlike we were children."
"You're so lucky," Gina said.
"Yeah, I am not only a black belt. I'm also the eleven-time champion of the Junior Track Team," Cindy remarked. "For the last four years, we have been working on a science project at the elementary school. Jimmy made some stupid machine invention to get an award, but this science guy fired him for destroying something. I was one of the smartest kids in my old school, and I won't lose that position to some pint-sized, swirly-haired egghead! And Ms. Fowl (formerly a teacher in the elementary school) already awarded me for the best project ever."
"Ohh, I see," Gina clearly said.
Libby wordlessly thought, (I won't tell anyone, so I have learned my lessons and keep silent.)
"This fudge-hair boy is such a loser!" Cindy sarcastically said. "LOL! And I bet he can't play any sports!"
These girls started laughing again.
"Hey, kids, it's 10 p.m. and time to sleep," Sasha told these teenagers as she opened the door before closing it. "Good night."
"Okay, Mom," Cindy said, then turned to her best friends. "Now, we need to sleep, and good night."
"Good night, too," Libby, Gina, and Britney said.
Cindy began sleeping on her bed while Libby, Gina, and Britney slept on the floor with their sleeping bags.
-In the next day-
The weather in Retroville is partly cloudy and warm (65F temperature), with no wind. It was 7:30 a.m., and those teenage girls woke up.
Sasha opened the bedroom door and told the kids. "Good morning. It's time to eat breakfast."
"All right," Cindy said as she gave a thumb up.
Just then, those four teenagers walked downstairs to the dining room. They sat right on the dinner chair. They all gathered together to eat the basic French toast with fruits, scrambled eggs and smoked bacon while they hung out a conversation along the way.
"I haven't tasted the French food before, but it's delicious," Gina said.
"I'm glad you tasted it, Gina," Sasha happily said.
-Nearly 4 hours later, those four teenagers changed back to their original clothes-
Sasha walked to the living room, meeting the four girls. "Gina, your mom already called me, so you need to bring your things and return to your house."
"Okay," Gina said at the reminder, then turned to her best friends. "Cindy, thank you for inviting me to a sleepover here. I'm enjoying with you all."
"No problem," Cindy winked, smiling. "We're all happy you enjoyed it. See you at school."
"Same here," Gina nodded as she hugged everyone goodbye, not to mention in a group hug. She walked upstairs into Cindy's bedroom to prepare her to own all things into her (light pink color with a daisy logo) luggage. Finally, she walked downstairs while bringing her suitcase and sleeping bag (white with a tropical flower plant logo), then waved her hand. "Goodbye, everyone."
"Goodbye," Cindy, Libby, Britney, and Sasha said as they waved their hand.
To be continued...,
