"No, the advice didn't come from a TV show," Noah insists with a mysterious glint in his eye. "It came from an incredibly reliable source."
"Interesting," Katie responds, curiosity piqued.
"We can't wait to finally see you and Tyler in just a few hours," Noah continues with a smile.
At 5:00, Katie and Tyler arrive at the location of the clubhouse.
"Are you sure this is the right place? We're deep in the woods," Tyler questions skeptically.
"This is the exact address Noah gave us," Katie reassures him, scanning the area for their friends. "Noah, Kai, Maya, Andre! We're here! Where are you guys?" Suddenly, she feels a strange liquid pouring over her, leaving her baffled and angry.
"What's all over you?" Tyler asks, bewildered.
"I have no idea, but I'm feeling a whirlwind of emotions right now," Katie confesses, her voice trembling with a mix of confusion and frustration.
Tyler is thrown to the ground by an invisible force, his heart pounding with fear. "This is insane! First, you're soaked by some mysterious liquid, and now this ghostly shove? We need to leave, like, yesterday," he urges, eyes wide with panic as he looks to Katie for support.
"I agree, something fishy is going on here," Katie replies, her voice shaky.
As Tyler scans the area, trying to make sense of the situation, Noah suddenly emerges from behind a tree, flanked by their so called friends Kai, Maya, and Andre.
"Why the sudden scare tactics, guys? We didn't do anything to deserve this," Tyler demands, frustration evident in his voice.
The group of pranksters exchange smirks, with Kai stepping forward to confront them. "You think you can just waltz in and hang out with us like it's all good? Think again," he taunts.
Katie, bewildered, defends their innocence. "But you invited us here! We're just trying to have a good time like everyone else."
Maya interrupts with a knowing smirk. "Oh, don't act like you didn't beg Kendall to let you and Tyler join us. We know the truth."
Katie's eyes widen in disbelief. "I never said anything like that to Kendall! This is all a big misunderstanding."
"During our lunch hour, Kendall approached us with a peculiar request. He mentioned that you and Tyler could use some assistance in the social skills department," Andre explains.
Katie's eyes widened in disbelief. "He did WHAT?!" she exclaimed.
"He made us promise not to spill the beans about our conversation. But we didn't promise anything. We assured him that we would ensure both you and Tyler are included. After all, you're both part of the 'loser club'," Noah reveals.
Katie looked at her friends in shock. "You four are terrible! And what is that awful smell?!" she questions.
"Ah, just a little concoction of liquefied rotten eggs," Maya admits with a mischievous grin.
Katie wrinkles her nose in disgust. "No wonder it stinks! But why on earth would one of you push down Tyler? He's harmless," she says.
Andre shrugs nonchalantly. "Sometimes, kids like him need a rough lesson to understand that being out of shape isn't cool," he explains.
Katie shakes her head in disbelief. "You all are completely insane. C'mon Tyler, let's head home before it starts raining again," she says, ushering him away quickly.
In Apartment 2J, the boys are lounging on the couch, watching a hockey game.
"Where's Katie?" Logan inquires.
"She's with Tyler, Noah, Kai, Maya, and Andre, the other fifth graders. I followed your advice. I subtly suggested to those four to include Katie and Tyler in their plans," Kendall explains.
"I hope they're all enjoying themselves," Logan remarks.
James and Carlos head to the kitchen to grab some chips, only to be surprised by Katie bursting in, looking furious and drenched. She is crying and fluctuating between anger and sadness.
"Whoa! What happened to you? And what's that smell?" James questions.
Ignoring him, Katie turns to her brother. "Kendall, I'm going to get back at you!" she exclaims.
"Why? What did I do?" Kendall asks, bewildered.
"You went behind my back and spoke to the other fifth graders! You told them to hang out with me and Tyler! They lured us to their secret hideout in the woods and played a cruel prank on us! They pushed Tyler down and covered me in rotten egg sludge! They called us members of the losers club! You're the worst brother in the world! No, in the entire universe!" Katie screams.
"Darling, allow me to fetch your attire. May I suggest a warm shower to soothe your soul," Ms. Knight soothingly offers.
"Thank you, mother, but I desire to select my own pajamas. I will inform you of my choice shortly," Katie declares, sauntering into the bathroom. Moments later, Ms. Knight emerges with the clothes in hand. After Katie emerges from the shower and dresses, she settles onto the couch, shooting a steely gaze at Kendall.
"I fail to grasp why you pinned the blame on me for the incident with Tyler today, aside from the details you provided. And are you clad in my beloved hockey shirt for bedtime?" Kendall questions.
"Yes, you owe me this much," Katie retorts.
"Pardon? What do you mean by that?" Kendall responds, bewildered.
I will explain the events of today involving me and Tyler in a different way. As I mentioned earlier, when we returned home today, Tyler and I received an invitation from Noah, Kai, Maya, and Andre to join them at their secret clubhouse. However, upon arriving at a wooded area, we noticed that they were nowhere to be found and that their clubhouse was located quite far from the public area. When I got home, I was completely soaked and you guys could smell it. To our surprise, Tyler was pushed down for no reason other than pure maliciousness towards his weight. Noah, Kai, Maya, and Andre then proceeded to inform us that they never wanted to hang out with us in the first place. They admitted to lying about promising not to tell me that you had spoken to them during lunch at school. I am utterly shocked by their cruelty." Katie says.
"Oh Katie, I deeply apologize for everything that you and Tyler had to endure today. I had no idea that those kids would behave like bullies." Kendall says.
"I am also sorry, Katie-Bear. I had hoped that the advice I gave Kendall would be beneficial, but it clearly backfired. I have let you, Kendall, and Tyler down." Logan says.
