In the classroom below, Miss Collins listens as the students recount the bullying incident.
"I appreciate you coming forward about what happened, but unfortunately, since it occurred outside of school hours, there's not much I can do," she explains. "I will, however, speak with Noah, Kai, Maya, and Andre's parents to address their behavior."
"Thank you, Miss Collins. Please don't let them know we told on them," Katie pleads.
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me," Miss Collins reassures.
Later that afternoon, Logan returns home from a leisurely walk only to be greeted by a panicked Camille running towards him. Unable to hear her due to his air pods, he quickly removes them to listen to her urgent message.
"What did you say? I couldn't hear you. I had my music playing through my air pods."
"You have to come to Palm Woods Park! Hurry!" Camille exclaims, grabbing his arm in an attempt to lead him there.
"Hold on, calm down. What's going on? Why do I need to go to Palm Woods Park?" Logan questions.
"Katie is in a fight! We need to go now, I'm worried she might get hurt!" Camille explains.
"Multiple opponents? We need to hurry then," Logan responds, concerned.
"Let's go!" Camille urges urgently.
"Alright, I'm on my way," Logan agrees, following her to the park, hoping to prevent any injuries. Upon arrival, they witness Katie throwing a punch at her opponent, surrounded by a group of onlookers.
"What's happening here?" Logan intervenes, separating Katie from the others. "Why are you fighting?"
"I'm defending myself and Tyler! We were wronged and I won't stand for it!" Katie explains, still trying to fight.
Logan kneels down to her level, maintaining eye contact. "Katie, listen to me. Take a deep breath. You're upset and not thinking clearly. Let's count down from 10 together, okay?"
But Katie is too enraged to listen and continues to scream in frustration.
"Everyone, leave now! Those who watched and did nothing are just as guilty as those involved. Go!" Camille orders, dispersing the crowd except for the kids involved in the fight.
"Thank you, Cami," Logan expresses. "Katie, I'm here to assist you, but it's crucial that you try to calm down. I understand that you're upset, and that's okay. Where is Tyler? You mentioned that you were defending both him and yourself."
"I instructed him to go inside for his safety. I'm protecting him from those bullies!" Katie points towards Noah, Kai, Maya, and Andre.
"We're the bullies?! You're the one who wronged us! It's not the other way around!" Noah shouts.
"That's not true!" Katie shouts back. "The four of you are at fault, and you know it!"
"That's a lie! You're the awful one, not us!" Noah screams.
"You're so immersed in dishonesty that it's practically seeping through your pores!" Katie screams.
"Hey! This issue won't be resolved if the two of you continue yelling and exchanging insults," Logan intervenes.
"Oh, shut up, you weirdo! Don't interfere in a problem that doesn't concern you!" Noah rudely retorts.
"I will not stay silent, and you will refrain from calling me names! I'm being kind enough to understand the problem and help all of you. Katie is extremely upset, and I highly doubt she initiated this situation. You need to be quiet and mind your own business! I won't repeat myself!" Logan expresses his frustration with Noah's disrespectful attitude.
Noah is taken aback by Logan's tone and remains silent.
"Now that you've finally stopped talking, we can focus on identifying the problem," Camille suggests.
Noah exclaimed, "Cassidy is out of control! She attacked me, Kai, Maya, and Andre for no reason!"
Katie interjected, "My name is Katie, and I'll clarify what actually happened. Tyler and I were chatting and having fun here at Palm Woods Park, playing frisbee, when you four suddenly appeared like characters from a ninja movie and attempted to assault us!"
Noah defended, "We had a right to be upset! Katie informed Miss Collins about the bullying, and she informed our parents. We were supposed to apologize, but we don't want to. We seek revenge!"
Logan intervened, "Hold on a second. Are you telling me that because Katie reported to Miss Collins that you, Kai, Maya, and Andre were harassing her and Tyler, you decided to retaliate by continuing to bully them? Even after being reprimanded for bullying and not apologizing as instructed? Does that plan actually make sense to you? Because it clearly backfired."
"If it weren't for you meddling kids, we would've succeeded!" Noah exclaimed.
"Are you trying to be a villain from Scooby-Doo or something? You shouldn't even dare to quote from that amazing series. The Mystery Inc gang is way more well-behaved than all four of you put together. And guess what? They're just cartoon characters! Even kindergarteners have more empathy than you guys!" Katie retorted.
"I believe it might be best to entrust this matter to the grown-ups. Katie appears to be quite upset still, and it doesn't seem like Noah and his pals are willing to make amends," Camille remarks.
"Absolutely. Ms. Knight can assist us with this," Logan suggests.
"I am here," Ms. Knight announces as she approaches the group. "Tyler filled me in on what happened. It's disheartening to hear that you four are still causing trouble for him and Katie," she adds, her gaze fixed on Noah, Kai, Maya, and Andre.
Logan guides Katie inside, leading her to Apartment 2J. Kendall, engrossed in a phone call with Jo, notices Katie's somber expression as she sits down next to him. Concerned, he learns from Logan about the incident at Palm Woods Park.
"Sorry Jo, I have to call you back. Katie's really upset. Those bullies struck again, this time at the park. She got into a fight with them. I'll talk to you later. Bye," Kendall says, ending the call. "Katie, is there anything I can do to make you feel better?"
"I don't know... I just wish I could stop bullying with magic," Katie replies.
In a protective gesture, Kendall embraces her. "I wish the same. It's heartbreaking how people can be so cruel. The world needs more kindness and love, not hate and cruelty," he says, comforting his sister.
"I long for a world where the torment of bullying ceases to exist, where the stars become my companions," Katie dreams.
"The moon?" Kendall and Logan are taken aback.
"Yes, Tyler and I will journey into the great unknown together," Katie declares.
"Well Katie, that's quite an imaginative aspiration. But remember, escaping your problems won't solve them," Logan advises.
Defeated, Katie sighs. "I know, it's all just a silly fantasy."
"But it's not silly at all. I admire your fascination with astrology and astronomy," Logan reassures.
An hour later, Carlos and James sauntered into the room and were immediately filled in on the events that transpired at Palm Woods Park.
"Can you believe those bullies targeted Katie and Tyler again? They're like a relentless storm," remarked Carlos. "We can't just stand by and do nothing."
Unwilling to burden her friends further, Katie pleaded, "I can't handle more trouble. Please promise me you won't confront them on my behalf."
James disagreed, asserting, "If we don't stand up to them, the bullying will never stop."
Resigned, Katie made one final request, "Please, don't even talk to them."
James solemnly vowed, "We won't say a word, Katie. You have our word."
Grateful for her friends' understanding, Katie expressed her thanks just as Saturday morning rudely interrupted the group with a loud knocking on the door. Kendall's annoyance was palpable as he grumbled, "Who could possibly be causing this commotion at this ungodly hour?"
Logan, barely coherent, added, "I have no idea," before drifting back to sleep.
The persistent knocking finally prompted Mrs. Knight to open the door and question the unexpected visitor, "What on earth brings you here at this hour?"
Noah's voice trembled with sincerity as he pleaded, "May I have a word with Katie, if you don't mind?"
Ms. Knight narrowed her eyes, asking, "And why, exactly, would you need to speak to her?"
With a heavy heart, Noah confessed, "I need to offer her a genuine apology for my past actions. I deeply regret the hurtful behavior I exhibited towards her and Tyler, and I know Kai, Maya, and Andre feel the same. Please, can I have a moment with Katie?"
As the sun barely peeked through the morning sky, Ms. Knight sighed, "Katie is still fast asleep. Have your parents approved of this early visit of yours?"
"No, not exactly. But they did insist on me making amends with Katie," Noah admitted.
Shaking her head in disapproval, Ms. Knight remarked, "Your sense of timing leaves much to be desired. Showing up unannounced at this hour disrupts not only my rest, but also that of the boys and Katie. Maybe if you and your friends had shown kindness instead of malice towards Katie and Tyler, there wouldn't be a need for all these apologies. They truly are wonderful kids, after all."
"Absolutely. Katie and Tyler are truly exceptional young individuals," Noah remarks.
Yawning as he enters the living room, Kendall questions his mother, "Who are you chatting with?" His words trail off as he spots Noah. "You! I can't believe you have the audacity to show up here at this ungodly hour! Don't you own a clock? Leave!"
"I'll handle this, honey. He just wants a chance to apologize sincerely to Katie," Ms. Knight intervenes.
Shaking his head in disapproval, Kendall insists, "No way. Katie wants nothing to do with him. He should just leave," before retreating into the bathroom.
"Noah, return to your apartment immediately. If your parents wake up and find you gone, they will be extremely upset and worried," Ms. Knight commands.
"I understand that, but I am determined to apologize to Katie," Noah insists.
"Enough!," Katie interrupts, entering the room with irritation. "What part of 'I can't stand you' do you not comprehend? I do not care how sincere you claim to be. Your attempt at an apology holds no value to me. You had the opportunity yesterday to apologize when instructed, and you failed. Perhaps I would have forgiven you and your friends if you had followed instructions, but you chose to be rebellious and defy your parents. Believing that in the absence of adults, you can behave as you please. I do not know what Tyler and I did to provoke you and your group to be unkind to us, but we are not doormats to be walked over. We will stand up for ourselves. Return home immediately!"
Exiting the bathroom, Kendall confronts Noah about his lingering presence. "Why are you still here, Noah? It's time to call your parents. Clearly, we need to involve more authority because your brain can't seem to grasp the simple concept of going home," Kendall remarks.
Ms. Knight reassures Kendall, "I already texted both of his parents as soon as I opened the door for him. They're on their way."
"Good. I'm just going to lay down on the couch and see how this situation unfolds," Kendall says, plopping down on his back with his legs propped up on the top of the couch.
Katie joins Kendall, sitting next to him.
Carlos, James, and Logan enter the room.
Noah notices something in Logan's hand and asks, "What's that thing you're holding, Logan?"
"It's not a thing. It's my robot. His name is BuddyBot," Logan replies.
"You bought a robot?" Noah questions.
"No, I didn't buy him. I built him," Logan proudly states.
"You built that robot? Wow, no wonder you're considered the nerd of Big Time Rush," Noah remarks.
Logan's expression turns sour. "I strongly dislike that word and hate being labeled as a nerd just because I'm smart enough to build a robot. Did you even think about how I would feel before calling me a nerd?"
"Of course he didn't. He's naturally mean," James chimes in.
"El Diablo!" Carlos exclaims. "No one insults Logan and gets away with it! Do you hear me?! You need to apologize for being rude to him right now! He's the smartest friend I've ever met! He's a super genius. He's kind, considerate, and very friendly - all the qualities that you lack!"
