Three weeks later

Harry pressed the send button on the email, knowing he had done the right thing. He was not getting any younger, but he wasn't quite ready to step off the wall just yet. He looked up as Ruth walked into the office, closing the door firmly behind her.

"No more cast." She held up her hand, smiling happily as she revealed the now healed wrist. "Back to typing with both hands."

"Good." Harry smiled at her, knowing how frustrating the last month had been for her.

"Cannot wait for a bath where I can put both hands in the water."

"Little things, eh?"

"Yes." She smiled as he walked around the desk to her. "Harry"

"Its done."

"You put in a request to job share with Ros? Really?"

"She is the only person I could see taking over from me. One day. She's done the job when I've been." He paused. "Indisposed." Ruth nodded. "Have you told her?"

"Yes. She only agreed if I was to be part time. Doesn't want a life behind a desk and I can't say I blame her."

"Can't see Ros doing that." Ruth agreed as she turned to look out over the Grid. "I spoke to the police."

"And?"

"Home Secretary is being told to resign and she is being charged."

"Good."

"Crowther is rumoured to be reappointed." Ruth smiled slightly as Harry smirked. Both liked the politician, the woman was genuinely on their side when they needed her, something which had been rare for Home Secretaries over the years. Both fell silent for a moment.

"Its not over. Is it?" Ruth turned to Harry. "Krycheck is dead but Farqhuar. He's still out there."

"If he knows what's good for him, he'll stay away." Harry stated firmly. Ruth nodded, still not entirely sure that they hadn't just developed a new nemisis. She guessed only time would tell.
