"This seems familiar somehow." Xander said, after he and Faith had finished checking the new wall and found it just as solid as the rest.
"It's also feeling personal." Cordelia said. "Amy's Magic is negated, you guys Grimm senses and strength are useless right now and Tika is living a very personal nightmare."
"Meaning one of two things." Xander said. "Either it is personal and we're the only ones affected or everyone is experiencing something personal in other rooms in this building. Either way, it suggests whoever is possessing this house knows us or has a way of learning things from a distance."
"If it is just aimed at us." Faith said thoughtfully. "Then that suggests a problem with us, our group or someone in our group. But what?"
"The building knows about vampires and doesn't like them or being compared to them." Xander pointed out. "There are humans in Sunnydale that know about them, as well as Wesen. Whoever is doing this could be a normal human or a Wesen that somehow ended up possessing the building. It's Halloween and weird things happen on Halloween, not just in Sunnydale."
"I'm thinking it's personal myself." Cordelia said. "It just seems like way too much of this is designed to hurt Tika and at the same time keep us from helping her."
"Who could possibly have a problem with Tika?" Xander was honestly bewildered by that thought. "She's the most Weider Wesen in Sunnydale! It's practically a religion for her. She wants to be human, to never be forced by the nature of her other self to hurt anyone. She's learning to accept herself and how nature made her, but she'll never willingly embrace it. If only Grimm blood could do for her what it does to Hexenbiests, destroy the Wesen part of her, but we tried it and it didn't work."
"And Amy's attempt to do it magically didn't work either." Cordelia pointed out. "She couldn't figure out how to separate the leech from the human."
"I remember she told about me it." Faith said. "Theoretically it may eventually be possible, but for now, it's not. But she's still researching it. But you're right, Tika's not out there hurting anyone, so why someone would target her seems ridiculous. Maybe they just realized she had a fear when they started this game of theirs and is pushing on it for their own amusement."
"Sick fuck, if they are." Xander muttered, he hated feeling helpless, especially when the people he cared most about were in danger. He addressed the mirror. "Do you have a problem with us, is this personal?"
"It's always personal." The mirror responded. "Ask me for help, Grimm."
"No." Xander answered. "Tell me the price of asking."
"Also personal." E and I appeared next to them.
"The letters are important!" Cordelia exclaimed. "The house carved them into the walls or whoever is possessing it did." She quickly wrote down the new letters. R, I, M, L, U, S, E, I.
"Don't forget the ones from behind the mirror." Faith said. "P and K." Cordelia nodded and added them to the growing list.
"Why is it personal?" Xander asked. "Did one of us offend you in some way? If so, it wasn't intentionally personal. I apologize for comparing you to a vampire, but you must admit, between the blood and being cruel to Tika, it's an apt comparison."
"Xander, what are you doing?" Cordelia asked.
"Asking questions and hoping for answers. I once told Giles, before you can ask a question, you need to figure out what needs to be asked. The house says it's personal, it's using fear tactics and giving clues. Either it wants us to figure it out or it wants us to ask questions."
"Or ask me for help." The mirror responded. "You Grimms think you're so smart but you're not going to figure it out."
"Who are you?" Faith asked. "How did you end up possessing the house? Maybe we can help free you. It's worth a try, isn't it?"
"I don't want to be free, I like this. It's fun."
"Are you a Wesen or a normal human?" Cordelia asked. "Do you know what a Wesen is?"
"Of course I know what a Wesen is, Fuchsbau. I find it surprising that a Hexenbiest or a Fuchsbau or a Lebensauger would be friends with Grimms, even help and love them. What if they decide to hunt you?"
"Never going to happen." Cordelia said with conviction.
"You're not from Sunnydale, are you?" Xander said. "An out of towner that came to UC Sunnydale for school and found out that we hunt vampires instead of Wesen and that we've learned to work together, to look out for each other and to care about each other."
"She's doesn't care! She's fooling you!" The mirror insisted.
"Cordelia? Or Tika? Do you have a problem with Tika? Is this aimed at her?"
"Ungrateful bitch! I helped her!"
"How did you help her? Which her?"
"Tika! I helped her!"
"So this is aimed at Tika." Xander confirmed. "And you feel that her response was less that it should be. Tika is very polite and never forgets her manners. If you helped her in some way, then she thanked you. That should be enough."
"No! I deserve credit!" The mirror cracked with the force of the being's anger.
"Credit? You wanted her to tell people what you did for her?"
"Yes!" Another crack.
"Let us talk to Tika. I'm sure if she understood why you're upset she'd give you the credit you feel you deserve." Faith said.
"She should have just done it!"
"There's one question you haven't answered." Xander said. "And I think know why. What's your name?"
"Figure it out for yourself, Grimm!"
"I have. You gave us the clues. You want credit for whatever it is you think you deserve. But in order to get credit, your name needs to be known. But you can't just tell us your name, that's too easy. So you make us work for it. You never change the basic premise, do you? I know what you are!"
