Chapter 114: Young Justice (2):
Kid-Flash's POV:
So, here's the thing, after the Justice League officially started the Young Justice program, we learned that someone was distracting the League and a new Injustice League breaks into the Watchtower and steals Doomsday's corpse. Now, we're looking for the Injustice League.
"You sure about this," asks Miss Martian.
"He's gotta have information," I said.
. . .
We were talking to the Riddler.
"So, you're the brand-new Young Justice," says Riddler.
"What do you know about the new Injustice League," asks Robin.
Riddler looks at the picture. "I can see it's pretty much mostly composed of Superman villains. They might as well be the Superman Revenge Squad," says Riddler, "when I was a part of Luthor's Injustice League, we tried to be well balanced."
"Look, Riddler, since you're a private eye now," says Robin, "can you tell us where the new League would be?"
"I'll see what I can do," says Riddler, "well, I think the answer's pretty obvious. Since it's mostly Superman villains, that means Superman's what this is all about."
"They were after Doomsday's corpse," says Miss Martian.
"Maybe Luthor is behind this," says Superboy.
"Isn't he reformed," asks Arrowette.
"So he claims," says Superboy.
"Superboy has muscles... I mean a good point," says Miss Martian.
"Thanks for the help," says Blue Beetle, "by the way, how are things with you and Clock King?"
"Great, I just wish he would give up on his villainous ways too," says Riddler.
. . .
"So, where should we search first," asks Stargirl.
"I'll call Prof. Hamilton," says Superboy, "he might have an idea."
. . .
We then arrived at L-Corp.
"Maybe it is Luthor," says Stargirl.
"Or his half-sister," says Arrowette.
"Hey, Lena is Supergirl's friend," says Superboy.
"You never know," says Arrowette.
"Let's talk to her and take a look around," says Robin.
. . .
"Look, I'm tired of my place being where heroes decide to look for anything villainous," says Lena Luthor, "L-Corp is no longer a supervillain lair!"
"Didn't Luthor and Mirror ambush the Justice League here," I asked.
Lena had a look that says, 'Good Point'. "I suggest you start with the lab."
. . .
We arrived in the lab where the Injustice League ambushed us. Then a computer screen showed up. "Hello Junior Justice League. I am Omega Knight and I see you've met my Injustice League."
"We're Young Justice," says Robin, "and we're taking down... whatever it is you guys are up to."
"I doubt that." The transmission then ends.
"Injustice League," says Mirror, "Advance!"
We then took on the Injustice League. Man, we really need our own battlecry. Anyway, Mirror disguised as Miss Martian and tried to trick Superboy, but then the real Miss Martian attacks her. The two fought and then Parasite drains the powers from one of them. The Injustice League then get away with both Miss Martians.
"We have to go after them," says Superboy.
"We will," says Robin, "we just have to figure out how."
"Hey, what's this thing do," I asked as the machine I touched zaps me.
. . .
Now I'm in a weird place.
"Umm... I'd like to go home," I said, "my friend's been kidnapped by the Injustice League and..."
"Bart Allen!"
"God?"
"Please, I'm not that big."
Then my Grandfather appeared in front of me.
"Grandpa? I can explain..."
"I'm not your grandfather either. I am the Speed Force!"
"Oh... wait, what?"
"I'm more complicated than you think," says the Speed Force.
"So... you took the form of my Grandfather," I asked, "wait, am I in... uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh... you?"
"That railgun accelerated your speed, putting you in the Speed Force."
"Great. I don't suppose you know where to find the Injustice League," I asked.
"As a matter of fact, I do," says the Speed Force, "they're at the Isis Foundation."
"The place that helps metahumans," I asked.
"Yes, that is where you will find them."
. . .
I was back with the others.
"Miss Martian's been kidnapped and you want to play around," asks Superboy.
"Guys, wait," I said, "I know where they are!"
. . .
We then headed for the Isis Foundation. There were alot of unconscious metahumans.
"Parasite's work," says Robin.
"He really needs to learn to keep his hands to himself," I said.
"Split up," says Robin.
"Dibs on Arrowette," I said.
. . .
Instead, I was with Blue Beetle.
"So unfair," I said.
"Sorry, but Arrowette said no," says Blue Beetle.
"You can tell she's into me," I said.
"How," asks Blue Beetle.
"Because she keeps playfully turning me down," I said, "that means she's into me."
"Well, I actually have a girlfriend, so I wouldn't know about playful rejections." Blue Beetle then walks away.
It then donned on me what he just said. "Wait, you have a girlfriend?"
Blue Beetle and I then ran into Neutron.
"Playtime's over," says Neutron.
He then blasts at us.
"We did not need this," says Blue Beetle.
"Where's Miss Martian," I asked.
"None of your business," says Neutron.
Blue Beetle then makes a large cannon.
"Seems like overkill," I said.
"I know," says Blue Beetle. He then stops the cannon, but then Neutron blasts him.
"I warn you," I said, "I'm the fastest boy alive!"
"So, what," asks Neutron, "that doesn't matter to me."
Then Blue Beetle attacks Neutron and starts punching him but doesn't stop, but..."Stop," says Blue Beetle, "we've done enough!" He then stops.
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... anything you wanna talk about," I asked.
"No," says Blue Beetle.
"Dude..."
Blue Beetle then sighs. "The suit's alive and sometimes, I try to keep it from killing people!"
"Yikes," I said.
"I know," says Blue Beetle, "I'm still trying to figure out how to control it."
"I'm... I'm sure you'll get the hang of it," I said.
We then entered a room and we saw something that horrified us both... Miss Martian's body on the ground!
