"Let's get married, Adrien,"

Her suggestion was so quiet and so breathy that had it not been for his supernatural hyper-senses, he wouldn't have heard her at all. Adrien shot up by the elbows from the grass they were lying on in the undiscovered flower valley Marinette brought them to with the power of Kaalki, disbelief written all over his face as he observed her from below him.

His Lady only blinked back innocently, as if she was talking about the weather. Her hair was beautifully fanned upon the grass, tiny flowers sprouting in between the strands and her sky blues held the reflection of his baffled expression.

"Wha...what?" He rasped, knuckles whitening as he gripped the grass tighter with one hand whilst he leaned on the elbow of the other. "What did you say?" Adrien ventured closer, his heart pounding relentlessly and his blood roaring in his ears.

Marinette couldn't help but smile softly, her lips a beautiful rose and her eyes just so warm they submerged his entire frame with unconditional love. She tenderly cradled his face with both hands, rubbing a circle on his cheek with her thumbs and her smile never wavering.

"Marry me. Let's get married now." She repeated, their noses grazing and his breath hitching in his throat when the disbelief finally expelled itself. Overwhelmed by her sudden request, Adrien couldn't help but hide his face in her chest, eyes watering from the idea of his very dreams coming true.

"But what about our family? And friends? And your dream wedding dresses? And dream cake? Why now?" This time he was gripping her beautiful sundress as she soothingly carded her fingers through his golden hair, her every touch bringing nothing but alleviation and sweetness. "Your family and our friends would be so sad if we just got married like that…"

"I know. We can always have a fancier, traditional wedding later on. But now? I just want you as my husband. I want you as my partner in every single meaning possible. I want it so badly that it drives me insane." She brought his face back to hers, their lips brushing and their eyes locked. "Our loved ones will understand. I bet they're wondering how we haven't gotten married secretly already. But now…just now, I just want you to be mine."

.

"Yes,"

"Yes?"

"Yes, I will marry you, Marinette." And he emphasised his answer with a messy yet passionate kiss to her lips that he hoped fully conveyed all the love he held for his wonderful, amazing, brilliant partner.
