Ashlyn got changed quickly and headed down the stairs; she had just reached the bottom when she heard the telephone ringing,
She ran through the large lounge and picked up the heavy telephone receiver

The voice replied over the receiver, Ashlyn smiled as she listened to the voice

Ashlyn giggled as she listened to the slurred answers flowing through the telephone
Well am fine thanks Kenickie are you ok?
Erm yeah kid am fine, you going to be at the movies tomorrow then

Kenickie do you know how daft you sound, go home you're really drunk

Ashlyn placed the receiver down and smiled as she headed back through the lounge, she turned quickly when she heard the phone ring again

Ashlyn put the phone down and walked towards the kitchen where she found Anna and Sandy sitting at the kitchen island with a big bag of crisps in front of them
"Were you on the phone?" Anna looked up at her sister as she approached
"Yeah" Ashlyn stated reaching past her sister and grabbing a handful of crisps
"Well who was it?" Anna looked at the small dark haired girl with a raised eyebrow waiting for her to explain
"Well" Ashlyn grinned at her sister knowing the pause would annoy her "the second one was Aaron and he says hi and hopes your well"
"Well if he was he second who was the first" Anna scowled waiting for her sister to answer
"Oh just some guy" Ashlyn turned and started to fill the kettle
"What guy?" Sandy sat forward on the stool listening carefully
"Oh just Kenickie" Ashlyn waved the answer off with her hand and smiled down at the sink when she heard Anna and Sandy squeal all at the same time
"Oh my god, he called you? But you two looked like you were fighting earlier in the night" Anna asked looking puzzled
"And he did come with that thing" Sandy spat
"Yeah I know but we talked some stuff out and then he asked me to meet him tomorrow at the drive in apparently everyone's going and there's a new movie" Ashlyn turned to face the two girls with the teapot in her hand
"Are you going on a date?" Anna yelped as she jumped up from the stool
"Yeah I think I am" Ashlyn put the teapot down as she knew what was about to happen
Anna screamed with delight and jumped on her sister hugging her while jumping up and down
"Oh am so happy for you"
"Thanks hunnie but am not getting married it's just a date"
"Yeah but it's a date with him and I know your just as excited as I am for you" Anna grinned at her sister
"you're probably right but right now all I want is a cup of tea some of that lovely cake in the fridge and to sit in the living room with the fire on and talk through Sandy's problems" Ashlyn smiled and started pouring the tea
"Ok then, Sandy would you like some cake?" Anna asked as she headed to the fridge to pull out the cake
"What type is it?" Sandy asked looking down at the tea Ashlyn had just handed her as she stirred in some sugar
"Its Ashlyn sponge" Anna giggled
"What's that?" Sandy looked up confused
"well you see normally a Victorian sponge I don't know if you have them here but in England they are huge but anyway they are just a plain cake with whipped cream and jam in the middle but you see normally they use strawberry jam and you see Ashlyn here is deathly allergic to strawberries she can't touch them without getting ill so when Ashlyn makes them she swapped the jam for her own special chocolate filling"
"Well in that case how can I say no" Sandy grinned looking at the large cake in front of her
"Well cut me a big slice pleases Anna and I'll take the tea in" Ashlyn grabbed the tea tray and headed to the living room.
The three girls settled down in the living room sitting on big cushions on the floor in front of the fire.
"Sandy I am sure he wanted to come after you, I saw that girl grab him love she had a pretty tight grip on him" Anna tried to comfort him
"Yeah but she let go of him to dance and he could of came after me then" Sandy sobbed
"Well that's true love but even then would you have wanted to talk to him?" Ashlyn looked up from her tea and glanced at the sobbing girl
"I don't know but I think it would have been better if he had at least tried to"
"Hmm I suppose so but I guess we will never know now" Ashlyn shrugged
"Do you love him?" Anna glanced between the two girls
"I don't know I think I do but he hurts me so much sometimes and then other times he just brings the sun out in my life" Sandy sat looking down fiddling with the crumbs on her plate
"Hmm sunshine huh? Well they do say for sunshine you need a little rainfall especially when together they make a rainbow" Ashlyn grinned
"Who says that?" Anna looked at her sister confused
"I don't know I think I just made it up but it sounded good huh?"
The three girls burst out in to giggles
"Anna is you up love?" Ashlyn called through the bed room door
"Yeah I am" Anna stretched in the bed and sat up as her sister opened her door carrying a tray
"Is that a proper breakfast?" Anna sat up perkier then before
"Yeah it is bacon, eggs, hash browns, beans, sausage and toast with a pot of tea to go with it?" Ashlyn placed the tray on the bed and sat down on the end
"You not having any?" Anna looked at her suspiciously
"Nopes I'll just have tea thanks" Ashlyn took the pot and one of the cups and started pouring
"So why do I get special breakfast in bed treatment?" Anna asked as she pulled the tray on to her knee
"well I spent a lot of the night up listening to Sandy crying, then when I finally got to sleep she started shuffling around in her bed making loads of noise and then she got up and left like the crack of dawn so in the end I gave in to the fact that I wasn't going to get back to sleep so I got up cleaned all the down stairs and then made breakfast and there are a batch of cookies in the oven" Ashlyn smiled as she watched her sister tuck in to the food in front of her
"Oh right not that am complaining because this is great" Anna grinned
"Well don't get used to it but just this once" Ashlyn smiled
"So what do you want to do today" Anna asked
"I don't know love I think I might just stay in a chill out because I am super tired and I need to be relaxed and refreshed for tonight don't I"
"Oh yeah your date" Anna chuckled
"Yeah my date and I need to find clothes and stuff so I am doing nothing all day but staying in the house and staying relaxed"
"Oh great ill join ya"
"Come on Ash, just show me what you have on now and we can decide if it's ok?" Anna yelled looking at her sister's closet door
"Alright but I don't think it looks right" Ashlyn called back stepping through the doors,
Anna looked her sister up and down and smiled as she thought that only her sister could look so lovely and think she looked awful. Ashlyn was wearing a dark blue pair of skin tight jeans with an emerald green jumper fitting the top part of her body perfectly. Her long straight hair loose around her back and shoulders.
"You look great" Anna smiled
"You really think so?" Ashlyn looked down, she wasn't used to wearing colours other than black and red which were her favourite colours but Anna had suggested digging out some of her other coloured clothes and really making an impression tonight because everyone would be expecting the usual outfits.
"yeah I do I think you look fabulous and I also know that there is a certain brown haired boy meeting you tonight that will not be able to keep his eyes off you" Anna giggled
"oh shut up" Ashlyn smiled and turned to the mirror to brush through her hair again to make sure that it fell just the right way
Anna watched her sister feeling a pang of jealousy at her sister's looks but Ashlyn had always said the same about her, they were complete opposites really. Ashlyn had olive skin with light brown straight hair that was relatively fair; she always had long manicured nails and very expressive big brown eyes.
Anna herself had alabaster skin which she hated, her mam used to tell her she looked like a milk bottle, her hair was black and thick with waves, her nails were always small and not manicured because she chewed them and her eyes where hazel with a brown streak through the left eye.
Ashlyn stood in front of Anna watching her day dream; she was really out of it. Ashlyn snapped her fingers in front of her sisters face trying to get her attention
"Anna" Ashlyn called watching her sister shake her head to bring her back in to the real world
"You ok?" Ashlyn grinned
"Yeah am fine thanks sorry about that must have got lost in my own thoughts" Anna giggled
"Yeah I guess, look it's nearly time to go are you anywhere near ready?"
"Oh no am not" Anna screeched and jumped from the bed at lightning speed and headed towards her bedroom
"Anna do you need any help" Ashlyn called from outside of the door
"Yeah please" Anna called back as she struggled pulling her dress over her head
Ashlyn walked through the door to find her sister trying to put her head through an arm hole in the dress and cursing because she was stuck
"Anna stop" Ashlyn sighed as she walked towards the tangled up girl "you are putting your head through the wrong hole and if you carry on you're going to rip your dress"
"Oh bloody hell" Anna complained as she pulled the dress up from her head and look at it closely
"I always have trouble with this one"
"Well here let me help" Ashlyn reached out and straightened the dress as Anna pulled it down over of her head,
Anna smiled as soon as Ashlyn started fastening the dress at her back and looked herself over quickly in the mirror.
"You look great boo" Ashlyn smiled
Anna felt a small frown fill her face but she hid it before Ashlyn could see, their mam used to call her boo and no one else had called it her since. Ashlyn had from time to time used the name but not since and it hurt a little to hear it said.
"Thanks" Anna sighed
"You ok?" Ashlyn looked over the younger girl trying to decipher what was going on
"Yeah am fine thanks" Anna smiled brightly trying to disguise her sudden attack of grief
"Right ok" Ashlyn turned and headed towards the door
"I'll just get my bag and jacket and I'll follow you" Anna called
"Ok I'll be in the kitchen"
Anna felt one tear roll down her cheek but she wiped it away quickly and grabbed her things, she didn't want to upset her sister again.
"Hey girls" Anna smiled as Rhonda, Sharon and Stephanie climbed in to the back of Ashlyn car.
"Hey Anna, Ash" Rhonda replied cheerfully "Ash this is Steph, don't think you two have met?" Rhonda looked between the two girls
"No I don't think so, it's your old man that owns the garage aint it?" Ashlyn smiled at the young girl through the rear view mirror
"Yeah he does" the small blonde smiled back
"well tell him thanks for taking on this one will ya, saves her breaking all the cars and bikes in the house" Ashlyn giggled as Anna punched her lightly in the arm
"Anna's a great mechanic" Stephanie whispered
"Yeah I know love am joking, you will have to excuse my sense of humour am English" Ashlyn giggled again
"Oh sorry" Stephanie blushed
"That's ok don't worry about it" Ashlyn responded and turned the radio in her car on, the sound of her brothers band filled the car and she quickly started turning the dial.
"Oh I love that song" Sharon whined
"Yeah well you might but I bloody hate it, he sings it all the time as a warm up and it drives me mad" Anna groaned
"Sorry Sharon love but they are less glamorous and fun when you live with one" Ashlyn giggled turning the dial still
"Here that's a good one" Anna grinned at her sister
"I couldn't agree more" Ashlyn turned up the volume dial and started singing along

The girls pulled up the entrance of the drive in while the song finished and Ashlyn turned the radio down.
They pulled up to a place near the front
"You nervous?" Anna asked looking her sister over as she looked around the cars near her
"Yeah I am little is that really stupid?" Ashlyn looked around the girls in her car
"Nope it's not stupid" Anna replied looking at the girls for reassurance
"Not stupid at all" Sharon smiled
"God knows why am so nervous I mean it's not like we haven't spent time together before and yeah I like him an all but really do I have to be nervous?" Ashlyn sighed and turned to look at the four girls again
"Probably because before it wasn't labelled a date you were just hanging out but now it's different" Stephanie answered looking around for her boyfriend as she stepped out of the car
"I guess your right" Ashlyn smiled at the younger girl and got out of the car
"Should we go and get something to eat?" Anna looked around hopefully trying to spot a certain someone
"Yeah I suppose" Ashlyn headed around the car to meet her sister and walked towards the food stands
The two girls looked the food over and decided a drink and popcorn looked the safest bet; they wandered back to the car and pulled the hood down so that all of the girls could sit and watch without trying to look out of the windows.
"Johnny" Stephanie yelled, Ashlyn and Anna turned to look at the blonde girl who was now climbing out of the back of the car and smiling at the small dark haired boy walking towards her
The two started kissing passionately, the four girls sat waiting for the two teenagers to come up for air but when it seemed like they might not Ashlyn decided to break the tension.
"Bloody hell will you knock it off your putting me off my food here"
Anna, Sharon and Rhonda started giggling as the two turned to the older girl, Johnny looked embarrassed but smiled and Stephanie frowned.
"Yo Johnny" the group turned their attention to a tall brown haired boy who was walking towards them now with two other in tow.
"Yo Goose" Johnny called back smiling at his friends
"Everybody this is Goose, Louis and Davey, guys this is Anna and Ashlyn and I think you have met Sharon and Rhonda before" he pointed around the group at the mention of their names
A few murmured Hi, Hellos and smiled greetings occurred and the group fell back in to an uncomfortable silence.
Anna turned and looked at Ashlyn with a roll of her eyes when Johnny and Stephanie continued their intimate relations leaning against the car.
Ashlyn glanced behind her and spotted the show that her sister was obviously unhappy about and smirked before winking at her sister.
"oh guys if you're going to do that at least lie down you know, it works well stood up but with this crowd you know everyone's going to know what you're doing! So come on girls scoot out the back seat boys help me put the top up and Anna come on lets go and find my date, but remember kids wear a condom and don't make a mess on my leather seats" Ashlyn jumped out of the car smirking as the two teenagers stared at her horrified by what she was saying.
The rest of the group giggled loudly
"You really know how to make an awkward situation more uncomfortable"
Ashlyn turned to see Jan and Putsy stood behind her
"Oh thanks it's a gift" Ashlyn smiled
"Frenchys looking for you" Jan grinned and turned to head away
"Where is she?" Ashlyn called after her friend
"About 6 cars that way" Jan yelled pointing to the left
"Thanks Love" Ashlyn called back and turned to the younger group behind her
"Right kiddies I better love you and leave ya, I have a friend to find and a date to go on" Ashlyn smirked and started to walk away before turning back
"Oh and don't do anything I wouldn't do and if you do don't do it in my car" Ashlyn smirked looking at her sister who was trying not to laugh out loud, sometimes Ashlyn could really push her humour to the limit and other people didn't always get it.
Ashlyn carried on walking away leaving the stunned younger teens watching her leave.
"Am sorry about my sister she's a bit weird sometimes" Anna explained looking around at the people who hadn't really met her sister before
"It's not a problem Anna" Rhonda smiled, she liked Ashlyn, yeah she could be a little outrageous and loud but she was funny and smart
"Yeah don't worry about it, you're lucky to have a sister like that" Johnny smiled at the dark haired girl and smirked as she blushed slightly before placing a face he could imagine she had learned from the sister in question.
"Right guys are we going to watch this movie or not then?" Anna smiled trying to change the subject,
"Mind if we squeeze in here with you girls?" Johnny grinned at Anna
"Sure just don't damage the car because Ash will kill me and I mean she will really kill me" Anna sat down in the front seat behind the steering wheel
She turned to the side expecting to see Rhonda or Sharon squeezing in next to her instead she spotted Johnny with Steph on his other side
"Hi" Johnny whispered while Steph was talking to Rhonda behind her
"Hi" Anna smiled down at her popcorn as she felt his eyes look over her
"Sorry about running out the other night" Johnny whispered moving closer towards her
"Its fine it's not like we are dating or anything is it?"
"no I suppose we are not" Johnny watched the dark haired girl, he loved Steph and didn't want to hurt her but Anna was something different he loved looking at her and felt comfortable with her all the time, he loved her laugh and her voice, her sense of humour and loved how she loved motorcycles as much as he did.
Anna was sitting watching the movie, this was her first time at a drive in and she was really enjoying it. It wasn't like at home when you went the pictures and it was more fun you could talk normal and no one complained you could throw popcorn around and no one shouted.
The only thing that was ruining the experience was that here she was sat in the car at a drive in movie with the boy that she liked sat right next to her the only problem was that he was sat next to his girlfriend.
Steph knew there was something weird happening with Johnny at the moment, she didn't mind that he was friends with girls and Anna seemed really nice and she worked for Steph's dad at the garage but there was something in the way Johnny looked at her which made Steph think that maybe there was a little something more between them. She knew Johnny wouldn't cheat on her and she knew that Anna wasn't that type of girl but she could just see that there obviously an attraction between them. Her and Johnny had been going out since they were kids and she loved him still but now she wasn't sure if it was in the same way it had been in the beginning. She glanced to the side and spotted that yet again Johnny was staring at Anna while she spoke to the girls in the back of the car, he used to look at her that way and he still does every now and again but this seemed so different, she wondered if they knew the obvious attraction between them and how the other felt.
Steph sighed maybe she should take some action on this front and see if maybe they could get them together, she had to face it her and Johnny had out grown one another and this was something she had to do, he might not like it but she knew he would thank her in the long run.
Steph smiled and turned back to the movie, she glanced to the side again and spotted Anna who was looking over at her cautiously as though she could see the thoughts running through Steph's mind, Steph smiled and grabbed a hand full of popcorn.
Anna looked across at the blonde girl, she looked like she was planning something and she had spent a lot of time looking at her and Johnny that evening.
Ashlyn reached the two familiar cars and smiled when she spotted her red haired friend stood in the middle,
"French" Ashlyn called out as she walked towards them
"Hey Ash, you look lovely" Frenchy smiled at her friend who normally wore only dark clothes and yet tonight was wearing something very out of the ordinary.
"Thanks French, you're looking good yourself" Ashlyn smiled at her friend
"Come on French we better go" Doody smiled coming towards the two girls who had been talking
"I thought you was looking for me" Ashlyn looked between the two confused
"Well in a way we were but it wasn't for us it was for him" Doody smirked and put his arm around his girlfriend pulling her towards the food stands.
Ashlyn smiled and quickly looked her outfit over before walking towards the door of the white car, she stood looking in to the window for a moment and then crouched down to look right in the window, there he was sat there smiling back at her
"Hey Kid"
"Hi" Ashlyn felt a small blush fill her cheeks and she smiled back at him
"Come on get in" Kenickie pushed open the door and moved along the front seat so that she could climb in
"Thanks" Ashlyn smiled as she sat down
"It's alright" Kenickie smirked looking her over, her clothes covering her body but showing just enough to make his imagination run wild
"Enjoying the movie?" Ashlyn looked straight out of the windscreen, she had been excited but now sitting here, those butterflies had turned to bats and she didn't feel like she could look at him, her nerves getting the better of her
"No its not the best is it?" Kenickie looked over at the brown haired girl, she was sat looking nervous, her hand twitching in her lap and staring straight forward at the screen.
"I guess not" Ashlyn sighed trying to relax, she leaned back in to the seat and crossed her legs
"You ok?" Kenickie looked her over again
"Yeah am fine thanks" Ashlyn still hadn't turned to look at him nervous about what might happen if she did
"Then why won't you look at me?" Kenickie moved towards her slowly
"I don't know what you're talking about am watching the movie" Ashlyn whispered feeling how close he was now
"don't tell me big brave you, the girl who punch Balmudo in the face and shouted at the head of the T-birds all in her first week is nervous about being in the car with me" Kenickie smirked putting his arm along the back of the seat around her shoulders
"Oh shut up you" Ashlyn turned and slapped his leg, her eyes catching his, the moment seemed to last forever as they stared in to each other's eyes
"So Kid?" Kenickie grinned at her
"What?" Ashlyn raised an eyebrow in question
"Do you… do you fancie a ciggie?" Kenickie asked quickly, he was about to ask if she would like to go out with him again which would mean that they were dating but for some reason he just couldn't get the words to come out
"Sure why not" Ashlyn watched him get out of the car and jumped out of the other side,
She looked over the roof of the car where Kenickie lit the cigarette and smiled as he slid the box towards her, she took a cigarette and lit it and stood and took a deep inhale.
Her mind wandered to what he had just been about to say, was he about to ask her out? Would he kiss her tonight? Would he try for more tonight? Would she let him? Would she be able to say no? Would she want to say no?
Her mind raced around the questions when she heard Kenickie speaking to the side of the car, she walked around the end to see who he was talking to, and her heart sank as she watched him corner Rizzo against the car,

Ashlyn felt her heart jump out of her chest, anger filled the space it left in her body and she turned quickly, she threw the cigarette on the floor and jumped back in the car, she just had to get away from him, had to leave.
She jumped in the driver's seat and found the keys in the ignition; she turned the engine over as he reached the door
"Ash what are you doing?" Kenickie looked through the window at the tear streaked girl, his eyes widened in horror as he realised she had just heard him talking to Rizzo
"Listen Ash I can explain wait" he called as she started reversing the car,
"Why don't you just go and fuck yourself" Ashlyn screamed as she pulled away
"But that's my car" Kenickie yelled after her as she pulled away
Ashlyn started driving through the rows of cars, she just had to get home but then she remembered that Anna was there and in her car, she looked around for someone she might know.
She stopped the car when she spotted Eugene hanging around by the arcade,
"Eugene" Ashlyn called out
"Oh erm… hi did you want this machine or something?" Eugene bumbled
"No but I need you to do me a favour" Ashlyn smiled trying to hide the tears rolling down her cheeks
"Sure… I mean... yeah sure anything" Eugene looked at her confused
"I need you to go and find my sister she is in row 3 and it's a red convertible, you know Anna don't you?" Ashlyn looked at him sternly
"Yeah I know her" Eugene smiled back
"well I need you to just go and see if she is still here if she is can you just go and tell her that I have gone home and she needs to drive my car home" Ashlyn grinned at the gangly brown haired boy in front of her
"Right well if she is driving your car then whose car is this?" Eugene looked over the car confused
"Kenickies" Ashlyn winced as she felt a pain in her chest as she spoke his name
"Oh is that why he's following you?" Eugene asked
"What?" Ashlyn looked in her rear view mirror and spotted Kenickie running up behind the car
"Thanks Eugene" Ashlyn yelled and she started the car again and drove away leaving Eugene and Kenickie in a cloud of dust.
"Ash" Kenickie yelled as he reached the spot the car had just left,
"She's going home" Eugene mumbled
"Did she say that?" Kenickie turned to look at the smaller boy
"Yeah she did, she asked me to tell her sister"
"Right well you go and do that while I get me a ride to her house" Kenickie turned and headed back towards his friends
"Erm Anna" Eugene mumbled as he approached the dark haired girl
Anna turned hearing her name but was stunned when she spotted who had spoken to her
"Eugene, what's the matter?" Anna looked around concerned
"Ashlyn asked me to come and find you" Eugene explained
"Why what's the matter?" Anna glanced around worried
"She's gone home and she said will you take her car home" Eugene smiled
"Right ok then" Anna smiled
"Bye then Anna" Eugene walked away
"bye Eugene" Anna called after him turning to her friends, "well I was going to head home now anyways and it looks like am taking the car so if you want a lift stay in the car if not get out" Anna smirked
"We got out bikes" Goose explained jumping out of the car, "Rhonda you want a ride?" he smiled at the curly haired girl
"Sure" Rhonda jumped out of the car and waved as she walked away with the tall dark haired boy
"Yeah Sharon you want a ride?" Louis grinned at the small girl
"Thanks Louis" Sharon smiled, "see you tomorrow girls"
"Bye Sharon" Anna called and turned to look at Johnny and Steph who were still sat in the front seat
"We have the bike thanks but I think Davey lost his ride" Johnny smiled
"right cool well Davey ill drop you home and then go and find out what's going on with my sister" Anna grinned back at the small boy who stood up to move to the front seat as Johnny and Steph got out of the car,
"Bye guys" Steph smiled at the pair and grabbed Johnny's hand pulling him towards the bike
"Bye Anna, Davey" Johnny watched the dark haired girl smile and then start up the car before allowing himself to be pulled away by his long term girlfriend.
Anna drove away heading out of the car park quickly,
Johnny watched her go and turned to Steph who was stood looking very serious at him,
"You like her don't you?" Steph smiled
"Yeah she's a good chick" Johnny grinned trying to pass it off as just friends
"No I mean you like her more than that" Steph rolled her eyes
"No I don't know what you mean" Johnny stuttered defensively
"look I don't mind, let's face it me and you we out grew each other a long time ago and we are just staying together now out of habit you know, maybe it would better for both of us that its over" Steph smiled
"What you saying we aint working no more?" Johnny looked at her hurt
"look Johnny I love you, I do but me and you we want different things and I know that if I leave you now that we will both find someone new and it will be better than anything me and you had" Steph looked down trying not to catch his eye
"How can you say that? Me and you its great and I don't want anyone else" he tried to carry on but Steph stopped him
"Now we both know that's not true, you like Anna and I don't blame ya, she's beautiful and smart, she has great hair and a great body, she's kind and sweet and she's a great mechanic. Look I know this is going to be weird for both of us but you will see that this is for the best and we will still be good friends and you know I'll always be here for you but right now you need to be with her" Steph reached up and stroked his face before turning and walking away
He watched her go confused by what had just happened,
He jumped on his bike and started it unsure of where to go and what do but he just left himself ride while his mind played over the conversation again and again in his head.
Ashlyn couldn't help the tears that ran down her face, she was hurt and angry. The pain of the last few months exploding in her body as she headed down the road, she wiped the tears away from her face knowing the layers of mascara she had previously put on would be running making her look like a panda.
She looked across the street as she came to a set of lights, she watched for a second as Sandy walked towards the car,
"Sandy" Ashlyn called out as the blonde girl turned towards her
"Ash" Sandy moved towards the car
"Hey Sand hop in ill drop you home" Ashlyn tried to hide the tears and sobs but they escaped anyways
"What's the matter Ash" Sandy asked as he jumped in to the car
"Oh nothing" Ash mumbled "what are you doing here thought you was at the drive in with Danny?"
"Yeah well he tried to you know" Sandy grimaced
"He tried to make you do it?" Ashlyn looked around at her friend stunned
"yeah but before that he was so sweet, he asked me to wear his ring and he had been really nice about the whole Cha-cha thing and I don't know next thing he put his arm around my shoulders which was ok but then he tried to push me down in to the seat and grab at my breasts and I don't know I just screamed and got up and threw his ring at him and before I know it I had ran right out of the drive in" Sandy slumped down in to the car and then she looked around
"Ash this isn't your car?" Sandy turned to look at her friend who had tears pouring down her face
"Oh Ash what's the matter?"
Ashlyn pulled the car over at the side of the road, she turned to her blonde haired friend, tears rolling down her cheeks and her body aching with sobs
"Kenickie and me were on a date and then this stuff happened and I don't know I just had to leave so I jumped in his car and drove away"
"What stuff happened?"
"he found out that Rizzo's knocked up and he offered to you know do the right thing, which normally I would be happy to hear you know but not when I am on a date with him and not when I am standing right there where I can hear" Ashlyn growled
"Oh my god and did he come and explain or anything?" Sandy looked at her friend in total shock
"well he tried to but by then I just had to get away from him and her and so I drove off without him being able to but am sure he will come looking for his pride and joy this scrap heap" Ashlyn explained wiping the tears from her face
"Look why don't we go back to yours ill call my mum and tell where I am and then we can stay in yours and complain about worthless men" Sandy smiled tucking a stray strand of hair out of Ashlyn face behind her ear
"Sure why not" Ashlyn smiled and turned back to the steering wheel and started the car.
"Bye Davey" Anna called as she pulled up to the front of the small house,
"Bye Anna, thanks for the lift" the small brown haired boy jumped out of the car
"Hey Davey" Anna called after him when he turned to walk away
"Yeah"
"Why don't you have a girlfriend?" Anna grinned
"I don't know I guess I just haven't met the right girl yet" he shrugged and then turned away
"Bye" Anna called and started the car up again; she drove home listening to the radio, singing along to the songs.

Johnny had pulled up at the front steps, he hadn't concentrated on where he was driving and then he ended up here, maybe steph was right otherwise why would he drive straight to her? Why would he want to see her now?
He leaned back on his bike and sat there thinking for a few minutes when he heard a car approaching, he looked up and spotted her she looked so happy and care free singing along to the top of her lungs in the most melodic voice he had ever heard, he smiled as she noticed him and blushed while she got out of the car.
"Johnny what are you doing here?" Anna asked looking flustered
"I just wanted to see ya that's all" Johnny shrugged
"I thought you were going home with Steph" Anna looked at his curiously as she walked towards him down the drive,
"well yeah I was but we broke up and I just wanted to be with a friend you know" Johnny sighed and turned towards the small dark haired girl
"yeah I know, come on" Anna flicked her head towards the door and turned to head inside
The two walked through the kitchen
"Would you like a drink?" Anna asked turning towards the drinks cabinet
"yeah please" Johnny sat down on the stools and watched as she poured the drinks out and moved around the kitchen, she was so graceful and looked like she was dancing even when she was only walking.
"So what happened with you and Steph?"
He looked up at her stunned; he had been so lost in his own thoughts that he hadn't noticed that the small dark haired girl was stood in front of him smiling shyly waiting for him to answer.
"oh she thinks I like someone else and that we have grown apart so she just you know called it off but she hasn't like officially declared us over" Johnny explained wishing he hadn't said the last part of that sentence
"oh well maybe she just needed a break and you two will be back together before you know it" Anna looked down to her hands suddenly really interested in tidying the counter in front of her, she didn't want to meet his eyes in case he could see how much it hurt to hear him talk about another girl that way.
She knew she shouldn't have asked, Ashlyn always told her don't ask the question if you're not willing to hear the answer but she needed to know where she stood with him. He had come to her and he had approached her first when they met.
"yeah am sure we will" Johnny sighed, how could he be so stupid, it wasn't Steph he wanted anymore it was this angel in front of him and here he was telling her about how he wanted to be back with his ex-girlfriend.
Anna stood quietly thinking, she reached out to grab her drink but with her mind being preoccupied she knocked the drink over.
"Jeez" Johnny jumped up as the cold lemonade spilt on to him
"oh god Jonny am so sorry" Anna turned quickly and grabbed the dish cloth from the sink and started trying to mop up the spill on the table, she glanced up at Johnny and spotted that his clothes where all soaked
"come on we better get you changed and dry" Anna cried as she mopped up the last of the spill with the cloth and turned towards the hall way door.
"what do you mean changed I aint got no clothe with me?" Johnny turned to the small girl shocked
"you will have to borrow Aarons I suppose" Anna grinned and headed up the hall way to the stairs
Anna showed Johnny in to Aarons bedroom and moved around to the wardrobe where she handed him some clothes and headed in to her own room to get changed.
She was just about to grab some pyjamas when her door opened and Johnny walked through wearing only his underwear, for a second Anna couldn't help but stop and stare at his well-muscled body before she realised they were both stood almost nude
"Johnny what are you doing get out" Anna yelled trying to cover up the fact that she was stood in just her underwear
"oh god sorry Anna" Johnny smirked looking her petite curvy body over
"What are you doing?" Anna squeaked trying to grab her robe without him seeing too much of her body
"well the clothes didn't fit me so I was coming to tell you and I didn't think about the fact that you would be getting changed sorry" Johnny grinned watching her fumble about in front of him
Anna paused for a minute before her heart started to pound out of her chest with nerves "is that a car?"
"I thought Ashlyn gave you her car to come home in?" Johnny looked across the room confused
"she did so who is she coming home with now?" Anna ran to the window forgetting that she was still just in her underwear and looked out to see Kenickies car travelling around the back of the house
"oh god its Kenickie, he is going to kill you if he sees us like this quick do something" Anna yelled trying to pull on a jumper she had left by the window the day before
"what am I mean to do Anna, my clothes are in the washer and these don't fit"Johnny called back looking for some where to hide
"can you climb down the trellis?" Anna looked out of the window again making sure that Kenickie was nowhere to be seen
"what you want me to climb out of your window?" Johnny turned to the small girl stunned
"look mate I don't know about Kenickie and he will be pretty mad if he finds you so he may kill you but I do know my sister is nuts and if she catches you in my room looking like that she wont wait for me to explain she will really just cut off your thing so which option do you prefer?" Anna turned to look at him with her hand resting on her hips
"look alright but how am I mean to ride my bike home in my underwear?"
"you don't ill meet you in garage in about 10 minutes and ill drive you, you can pick your bike up tomorrow" Anna explained looking through the window again to check for signs of her sister or her date
"right ok open the window then" Johnny grimaced and headed for the small girl
"ill see you in 10 then" Anna smiled as she helped out of the window
Johnny looked up Annas face to say something but then turned quickly to see why her eyes had grown wide and her face seemed paler then it was before hand
"oh god" Anna whispered
