Well hello my lovely readers, I know I haven't updated as quick as I sometimes do but I had a bad week last week as my godmother passed away so I never finished my chapter as quickly as I normally do so apologise for that, also I know that I added a new character and yes he doesn't fit in with the story but I wanted to leave the first movie on a bit of a high for Ashlyn because she isn't in the next parts of our story as much as it's now Anna's senior year and obviously the second film so we are going to start that in the next chapter. This chapter is a lot of fluff and a bit of filler but stuff I thought necessary to tie of the last chapter. I am not going to do anything more to do with the summer but I will mention it during the chapters so that you know some of the back story. Also don't worry I think Ash and Kenickie will end up together but for now I think they need to be apart and get rid of all the bad stuff between them first. So here we go let me know what you think review message me if you like.

Ashlyn let herself smile in to the kiss as she felt happy and comfortable for the first time in a few weeks, her brain had forgotten all about Kenickie and Rizzo the problems and pain her life had presented her with at the moment and she thought maybe she could forget it all and just enjoy her moment with Noah that was until she heard it a growl piercing the calmness and happiness she felt in her at that time
"Get your fucking hands of my girl"
Ashlyn's head snapped around quickly to look in the direction of the loud growl, her head clashing with Noah's as he too turned towards the loud noise
"Ow shit" Ashlyn groaned rubbing the front of her head as her eyes focused on who was shouting
"Who are you?" Noah shouted out towards the tall man stalking forward towards the pair where they stood on the porch
"What's it got to do with you who I am just keep your hands off her"
"Well as far as I knew she doesn't have a boyfriend and her brothers still out of town so why would I listen to you"
"She belongs to our group which means you can't touch her"
"Belongs…" Ashlyn screeched finally snapping back in to the reality, her head was spinning a little from the drinking, the kiss, the sudden clash of heads with Noah and then this very bizarre argument that she seemed to be in the middle off
"I don't belong to any body and even if I did it wouldn't be you" Ashlyn sneered lifting her head to make sure she was looking him in the face as he approached
"I didn't say me, just you're a pink lady and that means your T-bird property" Kenickie smirked at the smaller girl
"in case you didn't notice brain box the vows are till graduation and as that started today I don't think you have any say in who touches me" Ashlyn grinned back at the tall boy who appeared to be swaying due to the drink he had consumed throughout the night
"You don't even know him" Kenickie growled grabbing her arm to pull her away
"I may not know him all that well but in the short time I have known him he has treated me better then you ever have" Ashlyn snapped pulling her arm back and moving back towards Noah away from the angry looking T-bird
"You can't just do this" Kenickie moaned like a small boy having his toy taken from him
"I can do what I want, you are not my boyfriend and you're not even the leader of the T-birds who by the way is dating a non-pink lady! And you are not my brother so why don't you just go back to your whore of a girlfriend and find someone else to bother" Ashlyn turned to move away grabbing Noah by the elbow but stopped when she felt a hand grab her arm
"Why do you always do this?" Kenickie groaned looking down at the smaller girl with hurt eyes
"Why do I always do what?" Ashlyn turned back to the tall boy her eyes seeming to piercing in to his before glancing down to where his hand held her back, a burning and tingling sensation radiating from the sudden contact
"You always push me away" Kenickie grumbled suddenly feeling smaller than the petite girl in front of him as she glared at him
"Me? I push you away" Ashlyn stuttered "oh that is rich that is definitely the tip of the bloody ice berg that is I push you away when all I have ever done was be there for you and be nice to you and leave my heart open for you and you have gone off with other girls in front of me three times, proposed to another girl while on a date with me and now to top it all off your ruining my perfectly great night after you ruined my perfectly good graduation day and Noah here had to pick up the pieces" Ashlyn cackled a laugh, shaking her head she couldn't believe he really wanted to try and play the victim in this twisted tale
"Ash I told you I was sorry about all that" Kenickie frowned
"yeah well tell me till your blue in the face T-bird because I am not interested any more I have had it with you and this sick twisted game you seem to be playing here" Ashlyn cried waving her hand between her and the taller boy
"and as for you and me and anything we might have had you may as well forget it because I really don't want to see you again and I know that's probably ridiculous because we have the same friends and live in the same place but when I see you I am gonna pretend I don't so just leave me alone and stay out of my life" Ashlyn shouted, throwing her arm violently to pull it away from the tall boy her small form turning back towards Noah who was stood smirking at her with almost a proud look in his eyes
"You coming" Ashlyn smiled
"Sure" Noah grinned moving to grab her hand
"Hey am not done with you yet" Kenickies hand snapped up to try and grab at the small girls shoulder however as she turned his hand connected with her cheek
"You bastard" Noah yelled jumping on to the stunned T-bird
"Noah no" Ashlyn yelled over the two boys who were now rolling around on the porch hitting each other
"Ash what's going on?" Anna's voice carried from the front door as she ran around the building
"Kenickie stop" Ashlyn yelled again as the small group that had followed Anna stopped at the scene
Noah was lying underneath a very bashed up Kenickie who seemed to have the upper hand at the moment but was wrapping his hand tighter around the tanned boy's neck
"Well don't just stand there do something" Ashlyn yelled at Danny and Johnny who had stopped near Anna and Sandy
The two other boys rushed forward to pull their friend up from the squabble "Kenick stop it man" Danny hissed in to his best friends ear
"How could you chose him over me" Kenickie yelled turning to square off to the small girl
"Easy he has never hit me" Ashlyn snapped pulling her hand away from her cheek which she could feel was already bruising
"What? I never? That was an accident" Kenickie stammered
"Just leave please just take your trashy girlfriend and get off of my property" Ashlyn sighed keeping her eyes from looking at him
Kenickie paused for a few seconds watching the small girl with horror in his eyes, he loved this girl and she was just throwing him away like an old glove
"Ash I" he started but Danny stepped forward and placed a hand on his shoulder
"Just leave buddy let her calm down" Danny smiled weakly at his best friend
Kenickie watched the small girl whose sister was now fussing over her cheek, her eyes darted towards him with a sad glaze before turning back towards the younger girl who was telling her she needed to get some ice on her face
He looked down at the other boy who was still sat on the floor after being pulled apart, "Sorry mate" Kenickie shrugged "but if you hurt her I will kill you" Kenickie murmured before turning and heading off towards the gate
"What the hell happened?" Anna squealed the minute they all gathered in the living room, Ashlyn sitting on the small sofa, her sister sitting down next to her and Noah sitting on the floor leaning against Ashlyn's legs.
"Here" Sandy walked in to the room carrying to towels filled with ice, followed by Danny who looked to be carrying a tea tray
"Can you put that on the table please Danny" Anna instructed grabbing the towel from Sandy and carefully placing it on her sister's cheek which was already turning purple
"Ouch be careful will ya" Ashlyn growled annoyed with her sisters fussing "Anna I can do that myself thanks" Ashlyn reached up to take the towel from her sisters hand
"Fine but will one of you please explain what the hell happened" Anna groaned
"Look me and Noah were having a fag and well we kissed and Kenickie saw got angry shouted some stuff and then he accidently hit my face but by that time Noah was angry and he jumped at Kenickie well because he hit me and they ended up fighting that's about it" Ashlyn frowned looking down at Noah who was holding the towel to his nose
"wait you and Noah kissed" Sandy grinned excitedly, Ashlyn looked back up and rolled her eyes at the looks on Sandy and Anna's face who both looked like they may dance around the room with excitement
"Yeah but I think you may be missing the main part of the story" Ashlyn frowned
"Oh I think that is the main part of the story, Cathy" Anna giggled as her sister's face turned towards her with a scowl gracing her beautiful features
"Shut up you" Ashlyn murmured feeling a slight blush running over her cheeks as she felt Noah giggle silently beside her legs
"Why did you call her Cathy?" Danny looked between the two girls puzzled
"you know Cathy from wuthering Heights, Its Ash's favourite book and well although she's nothing like her in character she has two very different men fighting for her affections just like in the story hence the name" Anna giggled watching her sisters face become pink and Noah suddenly shift himself away from her legs ever so slightly.
"Oh I get it I think" Danny murmured smirking at Ash and Noah's reaction
"Look let's all have a cup of tea, me and Noah will get cleaned up and then we can all go to bed and tomorrow I'll make a big breakfast ok?" Ashlyn turned to look around the room quickly to try and change the subject and moved forward to reach the table to pour out the tea
"Do you mean a special breakfast?" Anna's eyes lit up at the mention of it
"Yeah I do now I am taking my tea to my bedroom and I am going to get cleaned up, help yourselves to tea and well anything else you might want and you all know where your sleeping right?" Ashlyn looked around as she watched them all nod "right good now Noah if you will just follow me and I'll show you where the first aid kit is and a bathroom you can get cleaned up in is and where you can sleep so good night everyone I will see you tomorrow" Ashlyn smiled a little before getting up properly and heading towards the door stopping for a second to check that the Noah was following her while the rest of the group sat smirking as they left the room
"Do you think she's serious about him?" Sandy grinned at Anna as she picked up her tea from the table
"Yeah I think she might be" Anna grinned back trying to contain the joy she felt that her sister seemed to be happier tonight then she had in a long time
UPSTAIRS
"God you know I love my sister so much its unreal but sometimes I could just throttle her in her sleep" Ashlyn groaned as she reached the door to her bedroom
"She's not that bad, I have a younger sister too and she is definitely sent from the devil" Noah smirked at her
"Well you best come in here and get sorted in my bathroom and then I will show you where you can stay tonight" Ashlyn smiled slightly before pushing the door open
"Great" Noah followed her in to the room watching the blush creep in her face again as she headed towards the bathroom
"right well you go first" She smiled pointing to the bathroom, "there is a spare toothbrush in the cupboards and toiletries, if you need any help call me, there's a first aid kit on top of the cupboard and towels are on the rack or on the holder" Ashlyn rambled
"Thanks" Noah grinned again and headed towards the door making sure to brush past her as he started to remove his shirt
Ashlyn's eyes nearly popped out of her head as she watched the black fabric of his shirt fall from the broad figure before he shut the door
"Stupid stupid stupid" Ashlyn muttered to herself as she headed towards her bed and placed the cup on the bedside table
Ashlyn fell down on to her bed suddenly feeling like she needed to sleep for a year to get over the last couple of months, her eyes flicked towards the door where she could hear water flowing in to the sink and Noah whistling to himself.
Oh God Ash what are you doing to yourself? You know after all the stuff with Kenickie it would be stupid to dive back in with another boy but then again he doesn't seem like every other boy, oh don't be stupid you thought that once before and look where that got ya, bruises and pain and you thought the same about Kenickie and he hasn't turned out much better than him. But Noah seems nice and he's sweet and well not exactly bad on the eyes, he has nice arms and he's handsome, he has beautiful hazel eyes and strong lips, I mean I felt that all the way in my toes that kiss. Oh I doubt he would be interested in seeing you again after tomorrow, he is probably just like the rest of them why get your hopes up
Ashlyn's inner monologue was disturbed when she noticed a hand being waved in front of her eyes
"Ash? Earth to Ash?" Noah grinned looking down at her sitting on the bed
"Oh god sorry about that" Ashlyn frowned as she realised she must of looked crazy sat on the bed not moving and in a world of her own
"It's alright I thought you were asleep with your eyes open" Noah smirked
"Oh actually I can do that and I can sleep standing up, comes in real handy for school you know" Ashlyn shrugged as she got up and headed towards her dresser to grab some pyjamas
Noah stared after the girl as he let that information sink in, he grinned as he thought about how often she fell asleep in school with her eyes open and the teachers just left her there thinking she was listening
Ashlyn grabbed some of her more sensible pyjamas making sure that they covered enough of her to not be inappropriate. She turned and headed in to the bathroom to quickly get cleaned it up,
She removed her make up aware that this would be the first time a lot of them would see her without it on, maybe I can get up early and put it on before I go down stairs? Or maybe I can just stop being silly and deal with it I mean it is my house after all, Ashlyn sighed and quickly changed in to her light purple flannel pyjamas, she looked down at herself in the full length mirror and so wished that the only comfortable sensible pyjamas she had didn't have little cows faces all over them. She frowned at herself before picking up the hair brush and quickly pulled her hair in to braid.
After brushing her teeth she gave herself a quick look in the mirror before grabbing her clothes and putting them in the hamper and opening the bathroom door.
She was stunned when she walked out and found a topless Noah lying asleep on her bed; Ashlyn's body froze looking at the tanned boy asleep.
"Noah" she whispered half hoping to wake him so she could make him go to another room, she didn't want people to get the wrong idea about them sharing a room but on the other hand the appeal of lying next to him all night was also very strong
"Noah" Ashlyn whispered again as she got closer to the bed
Noah's body shifted slightly but he didn't appear to wake up, Ashlyn frowned for a second before finally giving in and just shifting herself on to the bed, she leaned over Noah and turned off the lamp on the other side of the bed and then settled down next to the beautiful boy beside her.
Ashlyn woke the next morning to the sound of a familiar giggle coming from next to her, she opened her eyes and there stood her younger sister in a pair of pink fluffy flannel pyjamas, her hair slightly more wavy as she had obviously just gotten up and her eyes where sparkling with giggles that she was trying to hold in
"Anna what are you grinning at?" Ashlyn groaned attempting to turn over when she felt somebody behind her, for a brief second she panicked worrying who she might have had in her bed and then her memory flooded back of Noah falling asleep before she could tell him to sleep in another room or at least on her floor
"Would you girls keep it down huh?" Noah yawned grinning up at Anna and then smirking when Ashlyn turned over to look at him
"Come on Anna let's go get breakfast sorted" Ashlyn frowned sitting up realising she really didn't want to make a bigger deal out of this then needed but she knew her sister was already well on the way to that happening
"Sure" Anna grinned and bounced a little to perkily
Ashlyn rolled her eyes and stretched, which gained a giggled from Ashlyn when she spotted Noah's eyes widen at the site of her sister beautiful figure stretching out as she got off the bed
Ashlyn turned wondering why her sister had giggled and had to turn back towards her dresser quickly when she noticed the almost predatory look that was lingering on Noah's face, a blush threatened to creep up Ashlyn's face, definitely not wanting Noah to see the effect his looks where giving her she grabbed her sister by the hand and pulled her out of the bedroom and down the stairs quickly to make sure she didn't say anything that might be over heard
Ashlyn turned and looked at her sister expectantly as soon as they entered the kitchen and Anna didn't disappoint
"Oooo this is so exciting, you and Noah and May I just say that boy must of ate his spinach because he is super cute" Anna grinned clapping her hands excitedly like a manic cheerleader
"Anna nothing happened and I don't think anything will happen and I mean yeah he is lovely and yeah he has one of the most beautiful bodies I have ever seen but you know it's just one of those things aint it" Ashlyn frowned
"Ash you need some more confidence in yourself, you are beautiful and funny and witty and a whole bunch of other stuff but most of all you are the best sister in the world" Anna grinned
"You just want me to start breakfast" Ashlyn giggled
"Well yeah but that doesn't mean that I don't mean it" Anna blushed
"Alright then let's get cooking" Ashlyn smiled and headed towards the fridge
Anna and Ashlyn filled the table up with food, Sausages, Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes, hash browns, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, cereals and any other breakfast food that they could think off.
The couples seemed to appear one by one, Sandy and Danny where the first to appear followed soon enough by Frenchy and Doody, Marty and Sonny and eventually Putzie and Jan.
Everyone had finished eating, all still talking about the night before and all the different events that had happened, about the carnival and the changes the girls had made to themselves.
Ashlyn smiled looking around at her friends, she never really had many friends at home they all thought she was a bit to outspoken and not very tactful for polite society but her friends now seemed to like that about her.
"Where you going Ash?" Anna asked as she watched her older sister get up from her seat
"Just gonna start on the dishes" Ashlyn grinned back at her sister
"Do you want some help I mean you cooked all this food and you let us all stay, and you through a party last night" Sandy frowned looking up at her small friend
"oh no its fine I want to put the kettle on again before I do them anyways so you lot just enjoy yourselves and I'll be back in a bit" Ashlyn grinned and headed in to the kitchen
She sighed to herself as she moved around the counter and started to place dishes in the sink, turning on the hot water to fill it.
She turned on the gas stove to put the kettle back on and turned to the tea pot, there was just enough tea in there for another cup so she poured it out and headed towards the back door, turning the tap off on the way.
She moved around the porch and sat on her favourite bench, which had been so magical last night and then tainted by the end. She frowned as she remembered the argument between her and Kenickie, she knew deep down that must mean that they just where not meant to be together and that maybe her spark with Noah could be what she needs.
Ashlyn frowned again but this time felt a pain stab in her cheek and she remember the bruising she was getting last night before going to bed must be really setting in now, and most likely although they could see it all of her friends and sister where too polite to tell her, she was probably going to need a lot of make up for that one.
She reached down in to the familiar hiding place of the flower pot and pulled out her cigarettes and lighter, she carefully balanced her tea mug on the arm of the bench and lit the end.
Taking a deep pull, she relaxed holding the hot mug in one hand and the cigarette in the other.
"Now that is a sight for in the morning"
Ashlyn's head whipped around to see Noah leaning on the fence of the porch grinning at her, his crumpled shirt left open and nothing on his feet.
She smiled shyly up at him "yeah the garden does look great this morning; those flowers are really taking off"
"I wasn't talking about the garden" Noah smirked moving towards her
"Oh" Ashlyn felt a familiar heat rising in her body as she felt him sit next to her, very closely to her even though there was plenty of room on the bench
"Mind if I have one" Noah grinned noticing how she shivered slightly as he brushed his fingertips over her thigh slightly as he grabbed the cigarettes
"No not at all help yourself" Ashlyn grinned trying to hide the aching to reach over and kiss him
"thanks, look sorry about last night I must of just fell asleep I know that you probably didn't mean for me to stay in your bed, not that am complaining because well waking up next to you was not something a man should complain about although if I had more choice in the matter you would be wearing something a bit different then these very cute pyjamas" Noah smirked as she turned her eyes to him, the expression was wide with shock as she took in what he was saying
"What do you mean?" Ashlyn questioned suspiciously
"Well babe if I had my way you wouldn't have had anything on" Noah grinned as the blood rushed to her face
"Oh" Ashlyn gasped taking another large drag from her cigarette to try and hide her nerves
"not saying you have to love just saying if I was going to wake up to you on a regular basis I would like that to be the way" Noah grinned turning his head away from her and looking out over the garden
"Oh right sure" Ashlyn mumbled
"Yeah I would" Noah looked at her from the corner of his eye
"why would you want that seriously I mean it's not like it would be a pretty site not like waking up next to Sandy or one of the other girls" Ashlyn shrugged letting her mask of confidence fall from her normally well-guarded image
"Why would any man want to wake up to girls like that if they even had a chance at a girl like you?" Noah frowned, he hadn't seen this side to her before she always seemed so confident and strong, maybe it was the bruising on her cheek or maybe it was the curled up position she had adopted on the bench, maybe because she didn't have her make up on or the fact that she was in pyjamas that looked like they should be on a child but she just seemed so timid and shy, unconfident which he always assumed she had in bucket loads.
"What? A girl like me? Yeah right a short girl with boring hair and big hips, a bad attitude, a bad temper and no tact oh yeah am a catch right there" Ashlyn frowned looking down at her now empty cup which she cradled in both hands in her lap
"yeah a girl like you, yeah your short but most men don't want a tall girl, your hair is not boring it's beautiful, you do not have big hips you have a great body and as for a bad attitude well you might have that on the outside but on the inside you are the most caring and generous person I know, you have strength and heart you look after your family and your only 18, you look after your friends and you help with anything. You are kind, funny and well amazing and as for the bad temper well we all have one of them and I like that you're not tactful just means you're always brutally honest" Noah lifted her chin gently so that she was looking at him
"You don't know me well enough to know if any of that is true" Ashlyn frowned looking up in to his beautiful hazel eyes
"I might not have known you very long but I have seen enough of you to know all that and I can tell you I can't wait to know more" Noah grinned
"Sure sure" Ashlyn smiled slightly
"Yeah sure" Noah grinned before leaning in and pressing his lips to hers
"Oh you guys are so cute" Anna giggled from behind them
"I am going to kill her one day" Ashlyn whispered as she pulled back from Noah
"Yeah well maybe not today" Noah grinned kissing her again
