Anna's eyes felt stuck together as she heard her alarm sound, the thoughts from last night jumping around in her brain as she tried to wake herself up.
"Good morning sunshine"
Anna turned to the door way to see her brother stood smiling at her gently, his Jeans hanging low on his hips from where he lost weight on tour, his T-shirt too big and swamping his large frame
"Is it?"
"oh come on now" Aaron frowned a little playfully looking at the young girl who was sitting up in her bed, her hair all tangled from restless sleep and her eyes surrounded by dark circles.
"What do you want Aaron?" Anna asked as she pulled herself up out of bed and headed towards her closet, glancing towards her tall brother
"I just came to check on you and to get you for breakfast" Aaron smiled brightly at the mention of food, it was no secret that he was a big eater though being on tour kept him fit and that he especially loved his sisters cooking as it was so similar to his mothers. He never ate well on tour so when he came home he relished in his sister's home cooked food and her flare for large meals pulled out of a hat at the last minute.
"Well am fine thanks" Anna sniffled as she started to pull out an old T-shirt and jeans to put on under her overalls
"You don't seem fine" Aaron sighed walking towards his baby sister watching as her shoulders slumped and her head drooped forward as she tried to hide her tears
"Am not" She whispered stopping still with the clothes still in her hands as they fell to her side, her whole frame shaking a little from small sobs she was letting escape
"No I didn't think you were" Aaron whispered as he pulled her in to his arms, her tiny frame being swamped by his large muscular body
"I liked him so much and now I have to pretend to still be friends with him" Anna moaned as tears started to roll down her cheeks, wetting the front of her brother's shirt as he hugged her tightly to him
"I know your sister explained it all this morning" Aaron smiled a little running his fingers through her ebony locks in soothing fashion
"I don't know what to do" Anna cried out, her sobs being muffled by Aaron's shirt were she had buried her head in to his chest
"well am not particularly good at this bit you would be better speaking to your sister you know am only good at the hugging and for threatening to kick his ass but then again even then I think your sister has me beat" Aaron giggled looking down at his baby sister's tear stained face
"You're probably right" Anna smirked as she tried to wipe the tears from her face, Aaron always knew how to make her smile when she was sad him and Alan where always there for that after Ashlyn would pick up the pieces
"right now that I have seen a little smile I think you should get dressed, clean your face and meet us downstairs for this monster of a breakfast our sister has cooked us" Aaron grinned
"I'll just come down like this" Anna looked at her older brother confused she often came down in her Pyjamas to breakfast why would today be different
"Well your welcome to but our guests might wonder why you're not to your usual perfection" Aaron smirked as he headed towards her bedroom door to leave her to get ready
"Guests?" Anna asked turning to look at her brother from where she had started to brush her hair at her dressing table
"Yup looks like I wasn't the only one to have a friend stay over last night" Aaron smiled before shutting her bedroom door a smirk gracing his face as Anna's turned from shock to confusion and then a grin as she thought over what he had said
Making his way down the stairs he could hear his other sister hard at work in the kitchen she seemed to be fussing over something that probably didn't need to be fussed over. He smirked as he walked towards the door way and could see her inspecting the teacups she had put on the tray to take in to the other room, he could see his mother and grandmother mithering her right now about proper ways to balance a tray and always send in your good cups, check for cracks and always have a cup and saucer for guests not mugs.
Ashlyn looked up as Aaron entered the kitchen the look of mischief written all over his face, she knew that look well he had worn it since he was a child whenever he was getting himself in to trouble he would wear that look
"What have you been up to?" she asked watching him carefully as he walked towards her, his eyes glancing around probably looking for food that had been left out here, but she had known better and taken it all through to the dining room while he was upstairs
"Oh nothing you?" He grinned brightly trying to hide the enjoyment of knowing that not only had her "friend" stayed the night but he had also not stayed in a spare room like he should of done, he knew that his sister would never do anything that would ruin her reputation so he knew that they had probably just slept in the same bed but he knew she would still be more than embarrassed by that considering he was not her boyfriend
"Alright out with it what have you done, been doing, or have yet to do?" Ashlyn groaned as she started to pour water in to the tea pot waiting for his response
"What makes you think I have been up to anything?" He grinned as he reached out to take the tea tray in to the dining room
"I know you Aaron Plunkett and if it's one thing I know it's that look on your face means you have been up to something or your plotting something and either way it makes me suspicious" She frowned as she followed him to the dining room and starting to place out the cups and plates while he settled down at the head of the table
"Well then I think you should have a little more faith in me sister" He grinned as he sat down at the table his eyes roaming over the food in the middle
"Hmmm" Ashlyn hummed as he watched him carefully her brain going through every possible explanation for her brother's suspicious behaviour, she quickly set out all of the places at the table before taking a seat at the side of her brother
"Good morning"
The two siblings turned to look at Joe as he entered the dining room, taking a seat opposite Ashlyn; he noticed the funny atmosphere between the two siblings and raised an eyebrow at his friend who just smiled at him
"Good morning Joe did you sleep ok?" Ashlyn asked cheerfully trying to cover the awkward feeling in the room
"yeah I slept great thanks Ash" Joe replied as he looked over the food on the table, his family never really sat down for meals like this unless it was a special occasion but The three Plunkett siblings made a point of sitting down for meals together as often as possible
"oh good am glad" Ashlyn replied as she heard someone else walk in to the room, she didn't need to look to know who it was she could feel it all over her body the minute he was in the room, she could feel the heat on her side where his arm had rested all night, the warmth of his breath on her shoulder and neck, the smile that was on his lips as she opened her eyes this morning, the way he had said good morning before kissing her forehead and how he had looked as he got up in just his underwear and headed for the bathroom to get ready for the day
"Good morning" he grinned sitting down next to Ashlyn, his body longing to pull hers close to it but instead he just sat as close as she would allow
"Good morning" Aaron smirked noticing the slight pink tinge to his sister's face at the new arrival, her eyes drifting down towards her plate as though she was deep in thought and didn't want anyone to know what she was thinking about
Kenickie glanced to his side to where she was sat, her cheeks slightly pink, her bottom lip pulled between her teeth in the most tempting way, her brown hair loose around her shoulders, her white pyjamas changed this morning in to a tight pair of pedal pusher jeans and a pale pink vest top which showed off the tan of her bare shoulders
"Well Kenickie this a nice surprise" Anna cooed from the door way her eyes lit up with amusement as she looked at her sisters pink cheeks, Kenickies grin and her brother and Joes amused looks
"Hey Anna, feeling better" Kenickie pulled his crooked smile at the younger sister, Anna could see what her sister saw in the older boy, he was handsome and had a nice body and when he wasn't showing off to his friends he was really nice she just hoped he could continue to be that way so that he and her sister could be happy instead of her pretending to be with Noah
"I am now" Anna smirked at her sister whose eyes where burning her from the other side of the table "I mean who wouldn't be happy with everything on offer here this morning"
Aaron chocked on his orange juice as he tried to contain a giggle at his sister's sarcastic remark, Ashlyn glared at him for a second before turning her eyes to Joe who also was smirking in her direction
"Shall we eat" Ashlyn cried out cheerfully trying to change the subject as she stood and started to uncover the food at the table so that everyone could help themselves before signalling to Anna to start pouring the tea
"Ash this smells great as always, you will make someone a great wife one of these days" Aaron grinned before winking at Kenickie whose eyes went wide for a second before his shock was replaced with a smirk as the thought of having Ashlyn as a wife sank in and he realised he wouldn't actually mind that at all
"Thanks Aaron just eat will you" Ashlyn hissed kicking her brother under the table to make him be quiet, earning her a glare from her older brother who held in a small yelp from the pain in his shin
"Ash will u still help me get ready and take me to shop please" Anna smiled hopefully at her big sister as she tried to cover up the tension brewing between her brother and sister
"Sure let's just finish breakfast first huh" Ashlyn groaned as she took a big gulp of her tea to try and calm herself before she started hitting her brother with the tea pot
"So he stayed in your bed?" Anna asked as she watched her sister in the mirror, Ashlyn was stood behind her braiding her hair in to a bun
"Yeah I didn't mean for him too and am not sure why he did but it was nice" Ashlyn smiled dreamily letting a small blush tint her cheeks as she thought of how nice it had been to sleep in his strong arms, the warmth that came from his muscular body and the way his smell surrounded her and helped her to fall asleep quicker than she ever has before, like her body knew it was safe and she was happy.
"I bet it was" Anna grinned looking at the smile on her sister's face
"Shut up you" Ashlyn giggled at the scowl Anna gave as she tugged her hair back to emphasise the point
"So what was it like? Was it as nice as when u and Noah stayed together?" Anna asked softly watching her sister closely
"I like Noah a lot I really do but it's just not the same I mean he's just not…" Ashlyn sighed unsure what to say
"He's just not Kenickie" Anna finished a small knowing smile creeping on her lips
"I guess" Ashlyn shrugged as she finished off her sisters hair
"You love him don't you?" Anna asked as she watched her sisters face become sad but controlled as always
"I think I do but after everything that's happened I think I would be stupid to let myself believe that we could be happy together" Ashlyn lent on the side of the dressing table as she watched Anna start to put on some make up
"Well why don't you tell him and tell Noah that you like him an all but you love someone else" Anna asked glancing towards her sister who was frowning with concentration as her words sank in
"I don't think that's the best thing to do right now, I need to figure it out before I can do anything" Ashlyn sighed
"Well you know I'll always love you right" Anna smiled as she pulled her overalls on over her clothes leaving the front open
"Yes I know and I will always love you" Ashlyn grinned back
Anna could feel his eyes on her as soon as she walked through the door, her body was singing to her with the tingles she would feel whenever he was near.
She stopped at her work station placing her bag down and looking at her work logs from last session, she smiled when she felt an arm snake around her waist knowing who had joined her without looking
"You seemed sad last night" he whispered as he looked the small girl over, her eyes still a little red and puffy and face a little drawn from being tired
"Yeah well wouldn't you have been" She whispered back turning to look in to the familiar friendly brown eyes
"I guess so, you feeling better now?" He smiled at her as she continued to check over her work to avoid talking about what happened the night before
"Yeah my sister sorted me out and well who could be sad when I get a cuddle from my favourite guy" She giggled as he tickled her side lightly before dropping his arm and turning towards her a little his eyes still searching her face for any signs that she might actually be ok but all he was seeing was heartache
"Well you can have a cuddle from me anytime" He smiled sadly watching her start to jot down her plans for her project
"Hey guys" a familiar voice called behind them
Anna froze in place for a moment before placing a bright smile on her lips and turning around making sure she stayed close to her friend to help her through what was going to be a hard encounter
"Johnny" Anna nodded a hello at the dark haired man in front of her, her eyes staying lowered to make sure that she didn't make eye contact the thought of getting lost in his eyes seemed too difficult to deal with so soon
"Anna, you alright?" Johnny frowned looking the small girl over, she looked pale and tired and he didn't like how close she was stood to his friend
"Yeah I'm fine thanks me and Davey here was just talking over my next steps on this bike, you not busy?" She rambled out quickly; clearly her plan to act normal wasn't going as well as she had hoped
"Nope I just got to finish the paint job on my bike and it's done but I wondered if you could use some help on yours?" Johnny looked at her hopefully; he knew she had seen him kiss Paulette and then the scene with Steph, when he glanced up from Steph kissing Shakespeare he spotted her walking away quickly. He knew he shouldn't of been with either of those girls, when the one he wanted was standing in front of him now, she had looked great last night and the thought that she may have seen him behave that way caused an ache in his chest that he wasn't familiar with
"Oh am fine thanks and beside I have Davey here if I need help" She smiled looking towards Davey with a hopeful smile, he smiled back with acknowledgement that she was starting to crack and quickly grabbed her small hand in his to help comfort her rubbing his thumb in circles across the back of her hand
"Well if you're sure" He encouraged hoping she would change her mind
"yeah its fine you go find Paulette or someone to spend time with am fine, Me and Davey got this" She snarled trying to hold back the tears that wanted to fall, why did he have to be so nice towards her? She was hoping that she would be able to avoid him full stop but she knew that wouldn't happen but why was he trying to spend time with her it was obvious she wasn't what he wanted so why was he bothering did he know she liked him and just wanted to hurt her?
Davey glanced at her quickly knowing she wasn't holding this together as well as she hoped she would her face was starting to let other emotions slip through her overly cheerful smile that she was trying to hold in place.
"Yeah Johnny we got this I'll see you later" He grinned hoping his friend would leave so he could make sure that Anna was ok. Davey loved Johnny like a brother but when he behaved like this he just wanted to knock his head in to a wall and see if he grew some sense, instead of seeing the beautiful, funny and amazing girl stood in front of him, he looks at who will make his reputation better and makes a fool out of himself instead of being happy with someone who really likes him.
"alright well see you guys" Johnny mumbled before heading off towards his own workstation to gather his things, his mind racing as to why Anna wanted to spend time with Davey, why did they want to get rid of him, Was she angry with him? Why did she look so upset? If she was angry with him what does that mean? Does she like him back? All these questions where jumping around in his head as he glanced back across to the pair, Anna's head was hung low like she may cry and Davey was standing around her protectively, he sighed and grabbed his jacket turning to head out of the door
He had planned on taking her out today, he wanted to spend time with her like they used to, take her out on the bike and show her some of his favourite places, take her for lunch and make her smile but it looks like he wasn't going to get to do any of that now. He needed to come up with a plan of getting her to notice him again, he needed them to be friends again there had to be some way to impress her he just needs to find out how.
"Are you ok Anna?" Davey asked stepping in front of the small girl; her head dropped hiding the silent tears rolling down her cheeks
"I just want to get out of here" Anna sobbed quietly
"Come on" Davey whispered as he closed up her work station quickly and gathered their bags
"So you gonna be in the talent show?" Davey asks as he stops on the steps where Anna always meets Ashlyn after shop
"I dunno, Sharon's asked me to join their thing but I don't know if I want to, to be honest I think it will be a bit weird being around Steph and Paulette at the minute" Anna groaned as she sat down next to the small T-bird, her body was tired and sore from her constant tossing and turning the night before trying to get to sleep but every time she had shut her eyes her mind replayed the nights events and every time she saw it she would feel her heart break a little bit more
"Yeah I get you but it will keep you occupied and you will have Rhonda and me there" Davey encouraged her knowing she would need something to keep herself occupied
"Why are you so great?" Anna asked looking up at her friend, his big brown eyes smiling at her, after the night where she had given Davey a lift home from the drive in the two had become good friends. The rest of the pink ladies didn't always have time for the small curly haired boy well maybe Steph but Anna thought he was funny, witty and although he pretended not to be pretty smart. They had spent a few times hanging out and he was definitely one of her best friends which made it easier now that Rhonda and Goose seemed to be joined at the hip because she felt less like a third wheel if Davey was there as well.
"I don't know it's a natural talent" He grinned at her
"Must be" Anna giggled lightly "what you doing for the talent show?"
"We got a song to perform but we really are awful" Davey smirked thinking back their first practice, they had been out of tune, they couldn't dance and their song wasn't even complete enough to show the whole thing to the judges
"Am sure you will all improve" Anna sighed as she leaned back against the steps, turning her face upwards enjoying the sun on her skin
"Yeah well we can't get any worse" Davey laughed leaning back with his friend
"Sharon wants to do this calendar girls thing she wants me to be July" Anna frowned playfully
"Yeah I heard you girls where going all out for this" He turned his head slightly to look at her
"Well Sharon thinks she has become a director including wearing clothes to match I mean have you noticed her jauntily placed beret" Anna laughed as she thought about her over excited friend
"I did wonder why she kept wearing that" Davey smirked "it's nice to hear you laugh"
"It's nice to laugh and you're going to laugh more when you see the bloody thing she wants me to wear, my birthday is the 4th of July so she wants me to be this American flag poster girl which is probably the daftest thing I have ever heard especially as am English and I don't celebrate independence day" Anna grinned as Davey began to laugh out loud
" I can't wait to see that, she had managed to get me and Louis to help an all she wants us to dress in things for the seasons which is ok for him because he's doing it to try and get her to 3rd base but me what do I get out of it?" Davey moaned playfully
"erm you get to see a lot of girls in our class wearing skimpy outfits and some of us looking very stupid for Sharon's dream to become real" Anna nodded smirking as she tried not to giggle
"Well doesn't sound so bad now" Davey laughed loudly as he felt Anna playfully swat his arm as she giggled also
"Isn't that your Ashlyn's car now?" Davey asked as he pointed towards the dark red car heading towards them
"Yeah but I don't know who that is driving it?" Anna frowned as she tried to see through the windscreen but with the sun reflecting on it she couldn't make it out
The car pulled to a stop and a tall dark haired man stepped out smiling at the two younger adults
"Kenickie?" Anna frowned slightly confused by the tall man driving her sister's car
"Yeah your sister asked me to pick you up" He grinned at the young girl's reaction
"She must be dead there's no way she would let you drive her car" Anna smirked as she stood up grabbing Davey's hand to pull him up from the steps with her
"Nope she's making us a big picnic lunch so she was busy so she asked would I come and get you, she also said Davey was welcome to come along as well" Kenickie shrugged watching the two interact, he knew neither liked the other but it was nice that Anna had a good friend especially after last night.
"Oh great" Anna smiled heading towards the car "you wanna come Davey?" she turned back to look at her friend, she knew he wouldn't turn down a reason to eat Ashlyn's food, he had made a point several times of mentioning he loves coming to their house for the sheer fact that her sister feeds him all the time.
"Sure why not" Davey shrugged placing his bag in the back and jumping in next to Anna trying to hide his excitement at his days change of plans.
"Ashlyn u ready?" Anna called as she opened the back door and looked in to the kitchen to find her sister packing up enough food to feed a herd of elephants
"Yeah just two minutes" Ashlyn smiled as she looked at her sister who seemed to be in a better mood then before
"Need some help there?" Anna asked watching her sister fight with two oversized picnic baskets, trying force in food containers
"Yeah if you wanna just grab the drinks cooler there and take that to the step and ask the boys to come and get the food" Ashlyn smiled at her sister as she grabbed a cake box from the fridge
"How did you know there would be boys as in plural?" Anna frowned a little watching her sister fuss around the kitchen
"Davey miss a picnic?" Ashlyn smirked before heading towards the door with her sister giggling behind her as they stopped on the top step to spot the two boys sat in the car relaxing
"Oi you two come and work for your food aye?" Ashlyn giggled as she watched the two boys turned to look at her on the steps, their faces stunned by her outburst
"Coming love" Kenickie grumbled as he got out of the driver's seat and headed towards the two small girls his eyes lingering over Ashlyn who was smiling brightly as she stood watching the boys with her sister, her outfit the same as this morning but her hair had been pulled up in to a large bun at the top of her head with her bangs hanging around her face and her large sunglasses resting on her forehead for when she was driving.
"Yes Ash" Davey smiled as he followed the older boy, the two girls looked great, Anna had changed from her grubby workshop clothes in to a knee length yellow skirt that flared out around her thighs showing off her long Ivory legs, her white shirt clinging to her curves to show off the fabulous shape of her body. Her hair still in the same intricate braid she had earlier in the day.
"Jesus love you pack enough?" Kenickie grumbled as he walked out of the kitchen carrying the two large picnic baskets with Davey following behind carrying another drinks cooler and another small bag
"Yes I did now put it in the back and shut up" Ashlyn smirked as she slid in to the driver's seat and started the car watching her him in the mirror as he arranged the baskets in the trunk and access stuff in the back seat. She smiled as she looked him over; he had stopped at home on his way to meet Anna and had changed in to a black vest that clung to his chest and showed off his beautiful muscled arms, and a pair of dark blue knee length beach shorts and a pair of baseball boots
(A/N converse to me and you but in the 50's and 60's they where referred to as baseball boots)
"So where are we going?" Anna asked as she sat down in the back wedged in with baskets and Davey
"Oh don't worry you will enjoy it" Kenickie smirked as he leaned back in the car seat to smile at the younger girl, he knew how worried Ashlyn had been and wanted to make sure that Anna had a great weekend to cheer her up so he had called around and arranged a great day out for them all. He just hoped it cheered her up so that Ashlyn would be happy as well.
Anna sat back enjoying the feeling of the sun on her skin, her large sunglasses keeping the glare from her eyes and the wind feeling refreshing as it gently hit hair skin. She loved days like this where Ashlyn and she would go for drives in the sunshine listening to music and enjoying having the top down. She could already feel the sun helping her to feel better, Ashlyn always told her that they were like superman they needed the sun to be happy.
"Oh I love this one" Ashlyn spoke out suddenly as she started turning up the volume on the car stereo as music started blasting through the speakers
"I can't believe he released this" Anna giggled smiling at her sister in the rear view mirror knowing her sister didn't want people to know this story other than her closest friends but Davey and Kenickie weren't exactly strangers and if Kenickie knew maybe he would try harder for her sisters attentions, Anna smirked hoping her little story would cause this to happen.
"Why not it's a great song" Ashlyn smirked turning to look at her sister slightly knowing where this was heading, she didn't like sharing this story but she knew Anna did and well if it would make her happy then Ashlyn was going to let her tell it
"Well am surprised you say that now because you didn't say it then" Anna smirked as she watched as her sisters cheeks turned pink under the edge of her large dark sunglasses
"Oh shut up" Ashlyn pouted a little as she tried to hide her embarrassment
"What are you two on about?" Davey asked watching the small interaction of the girls and listening to the music playing on the radio, the crooner's silky voice carrying around them as they drove down a quiet street
"Ashlyn's secret admirer" Anna laughed loudly knowing Ashlyn would be frowning under those oversized glasses
"What secret admirer" Davey grinned looking to Ashlyn whose cheeks where turning scarlet and Kenickie who looked ready to kill someone at the mention of someone else looking at Ashlyn in that way
"oh just Frank" Anna smirked as she watched as Davey's face dropped open in surprise his mouth hanging loosely and his eyes bulging out of his head
"Frank as in Frank" Davey murmured as he pointed towards the stereo in the car, his eyes darting towards Kenickie who had turned slightly in his seat to look at the younger of the two sisters in surprise
"Yeah Frank Sinatra he was rather taken with our Ash and performed this song for her after he invited her to his show" Anna explained nonchalantly waving her hand as though they were talking about someone who lived down the road, she always enjoyed telling people about the famous people that they had met and this was one of her favourite stories, of how her sister managed to sweep old blue eyes right off his feet
"Frank Sinatra had a crush on you" Davey grinned looking towards the older girl who was sat quietly humming and smiling softly as her cheeks maintained a small pink blush
"I wouldn't say crush I think he was just being nice" Ashlyn smiled trying to act as cool and collected as her sister was with these things but really her heart was racing at the memories of when she met the famous singer
"stop being silly Ash the guy was head over heels for you the minute he saw you, we had gone on tour with Aaron over the summer which you both know and Aaron was due to play alongside this big band one night you know with the group it was for a charity linked to a hospital and it was going to be huge well turns out the big band they are playing with normally work with Frank and so he was there the night before doing a concert and was going to be involved in the one with Aaron and when he heard we had arrived a night early and he asked to meet us as they would be doing a show together" Anna explained as she glanced between the two boys who seemed to be enthralled by her story so far
"well obviously we say yes because who wouldn't want to meet Frank Sinatra, so we all get ready and head down to the private bar he asked us to meet him in except Ash because as per usual she was running a little late because she had been checking the stage set up for the boys and after that she needed to get herself ready to her usual perfection which takes ages as you know but anyways me and Aaron and the boys all met Frank at the planned time and it was all set up with him greeting us and then sitting and having a drink together, it's all very relaxed and everyone seems to be getting on fine when she appears looking a million bucks as always but the security wouldn't let her in so the first time he spots her she's stood arguing with a guy who is easily three times her size and prodding the man in the chest telling him if she doesn't let her in she's going to remove his reason for being a man" Anna laughs loudly as she recalls the shock that ran through the room as they heard her sisters shouting, Anna had been sat next to Frank talking to him and Joe about the set that had prepared when they heard her familiar Scouse tones piercing the quiet in the bar, she had looked over and couldn't help but giggle
"You threatened to remove someone's dick?" Kenickie smirked looking over to Ashlyn as she carried on driving the pink flush permanently on her cheeks now
"Yeah well he wouldn't let me in and he was being rude" Ashlyn grinned as she looked over at the dark haired man, he could see the small amount of malice in that grin which reminded him why he never wanted to anger the small girl
"Carrying on" Anna spoke out excited to carry on with the story
Ashlyn smiled softly as her mind began to wander back to the night she first met Frank, her sister's words slowly being drowned out by his melodic voice continuing to play in the back ground as her memories flooded back to her
"Yeah you just walk away you big goon before I give you a reason to run" She couldn't believe the way they were behaving and she knew full well how tight security has to be but this is ridicules, she had been running late and well she couldn't decide what dress to wear I mean its not every day you meet someone like Frank Sinatra you have to look good, but then these goons were telling her she wasn't allowed in when she could clearly see her sister and brother sitting less a yard away from her
"I am sorry about them"
Ashlyn felt her eyes widen as the most beautiful voice spoke behind her, she had heard that voice before in a movie and on TV, as she turned slowly and felt her heart rate increase as her dark brown eyes locked on to the most beautiful sky blue eyes she had ever seen
"it's alright thanks mate but really it's me who should apologise coming in here and shouting at them I mean they were just doing their jobs even if it meant being an arse towards me at the time" Ashlyn smiled brightly trying to stop herself from rambling further as she felt the blush spread on her cheeks when she realised she had just called Frank Sinatra mate
"How could it be their job to stop such a beautiful woman from coming in here?"
Ashlyn felt her cheeks flame as her eyes dropped away from his suddenly aware of his eyes moving over her body
"well maybe am not beautiful" She shrugged as she looked over his smart blue suit and red tie, her eyes travelled up to his beautiful lips, his stunning blue eyes sparkling as he looked her over and his dark wavy hair brushed back from his face
"No you're not beautiful" He smiled as her head snapped up towards him stunned by his words, Ashlyn never thought of herself as beautiful but she was shocked by his boldness to say it out loud and to her face
He smirked as he continued to talk "you are more than beautiful, you're incredible and have one of the most fantastic bodies I have ever seen, the most amazing eyes and if you keep smiling like that I may have to marry you" He grinned as he watched a bright grin spread across the young girls face
"Well thanks Mr Sinatra and I have to say I am a huge fan of your music and films" Ashlyn blushed a little as she smiled at the older man
"Would you like to join me for a drink?"
"I would love to thanks" Ashlyn smiled as she took the charismatic crooners arm and followed him to the bar
Ashlyn woke the next morning very aware that Anna was waiting for her to get up to talk about the night before and she wasn't sure she could deal with her sister's excitement this early in the morning however
"Ash I know your awake" Anna groaned as she sat on the edge of her older sisters bed, she had been up since early excited to hear about her sisters night with Frank
"Can I at least have a cup of tea before you start bothering me" Ashlyn grumbled as she sat up a little rubbing her eyes to look at her sister, she should of known that she couldn't fool her sister in to thinking she was still asleep
"I have you one right here" Anna smirked handing her sister the cup of steaming liquid
"fine" Ashlyn moaned as she took the cup and drank down half of the scolding liquid before lowering the cup from her lips and sitting waiting expectantly for her sisters excited outburst
"I can't believe what happened last night" Anna started her eyes bright with intrigue and excitement
"What?" Ashlyn watched amused as her sister got more and more excited about the subject that she was literally bouncing slightly on the bed
"You know what, you and Frank Sinatra" Anna called out as her voice rose over the name of the famous singer
"Yeah what about it, we sat and had a couple of drinks together he's a lovely man" Ashlyn sighed knowing that her sister was already planning out a wedding for the two in her mind
"but you like him, and I know you fancy him from when we have seen him on the telly or in the movies and I know you have his records" Anna frowned a little noticing her sisters lack of enthusiasm
"So I like him and he is lovely what do you want me to do become his mistress?" Ashlyn frowned watching her sisters face turn in to a small frown and then a sad look grace her features
"I forgot he was married" Anna explained looking down at her own cup of tea in her hands
"Yeah am sure a lot of women do love and that's how he ends up with lovers, either that or they have no moral code and sleep with him anyway" Ashlyn frowned thinking of how someone as lovely as him could be so unfaithful to his wife
"Have you thought about being his lover?" Anna asked with an impish grin as she looked up at her sister who was smirking
"I only spoke to him once" Ashlyn smiled trying to hide the small blush on her cheeks she could feel rising
"yeah but that doesn't mean you haven't thought about it before meeting and even more now you have" Anna grinned knowing her sisters blush meant that it had at least crossed her mind at some point
"Anna" Ashlyn giggled
"Come on Ash I know you have" Anna smiled brightly
"Alright yes I have and I wondered what it would be like last night after spending a night in his world but really it's all just in my head and it needs to stay there" Ashlyn sighed as she let her mind wander a little to the dreams she had woken up from
"If you say so" Anna started to speak when there was a knock on the door
"Who is that? Aarons never up this early" Ashlyn frowned stepping out of bed and grabbing her robe as she headed towards the door
"Anna move out of sight just in case" Ashlyn whispered as she grabbed the door handle, the girls had been approached by Aarons fans a few times and once or twice they had become violent so often the girls where a little over cautious to safety when they were on tour
"Who is it?" She called through the door making sure to lean on it in case someone tried to force the door open
"I have a message for you Ms Plunkett" a voice called back
"What type of message and from whom?" Ashlyn called back again looking to her sister who was hidden over by the wardrobe peeking out at the door with a confused expression on her face
"It's a letter and it's from Mr Sinatra"
Ashlyn's eyes went wide as she looked at her sister before she opened the door slightly and peered around to see a large man in a black suit stood on the other side of the door
"Good morning Ms Plunkett" the large man stated as he spotted the door open and the small girl appear in the small gap of the door
"Good morning" She smiled up at the man
"I have this letter for you and these" the man grinned as he placed the letter in to the small girls open hand and then turned to point to the small trolley that was piled up with what looked like gift boxes and flowers
"That's all for me?" Ashlyn whispered embarrassed by the attention she was receiving from the older married man
"Yes Mr Sinatra wanted to thank you for spending time with him last night"
"Erm well could you please bring it in" Ashlyn frowned a little and opened the door a little wider so that the trolley could fit through the door
"Well Miss I better get back but Mr Sinatra said that he is in room 345 and anxiously awaiting to hear from yourself"
Ashlyn smiled shyly and nodded at the tall man
"Thanks and please say thank you to Mr Sinatra though none of this is necessary at all" Ashlyn smiled brightly trying to hide her nerves
"Well good morning miss" He grinned and headed out of the door
"What was that about?" Anna asked as she stepped out from the side of the wardrobe where she had been hiding
"Frank" Ashlyn grumbled a little as she sat back down on the bed
"He sent all this" Anna asked looking at the gifts
"Yeah must think he can buy his way in to my bed" Ashlyn frowned looking the trolley over
"Should we open them?" Anna asked looking excitedly at the boxes wrapped in metallic paper
"Yeah I guess" Ashlyn stood up and moved towards the trolley, sniffing the flowers that sat on top in a beautiful glass vase, they were red tulips and white carnations some of her favourites which made her wonder how he knew that
"They are amazing" Anna grinned as her sister moved the flowers off the top box on the trolley, the box was large and beautiful
"What do you think is in this?" Ash asked as she placed the vase down and started to undo the purple ribbon on the silver box
"I don't know" Anna smiled as Ashlyn lifted the lid of the box to reveal a beautiful black basket with a red cushion in the middle, all of this cradling a tiny black kitten who opened its tiny eyes and looked straight up at Ashlyn with the same ocean blue that she had seen the night before in the man who had sent the gift.
"oh gosh look at him" Ashlyn grinned happily as she reached down and picked up the small animal, she had told Frank the night before about how she had a cat in England but she hadn't been able to bring him with her when they had to move to America
"He is adorable" Anna moved around the trolley and started stroking the small kitten that was cradled in her sisters arms
"This is too much don't you think?" Ashlyn murmured as she looked at the rest of the boxes
"Possibly but who cares it not like your hurting anyone" Anna frowned a little
"suppose" Ashlyn smiled and placed the small kitten on the bed as she turned to the trolley
"well open the rest" Anna grinned as the small kitten crawled on to her knee and watched her older sister move around the room opening boxes containing, a dress, shoes, a jacket and a new bag
"What do you think this is all for?" Ashlyn asked as she lay out the new wardrobe on a chair
"Well read the letter and you might find out" Anna giggled as she cuddled the cute fluff ball on her knee
"oh yeah forgot about that" Ashlyn grinned as she grabbed the letter and sat back down on the bed near her sister and smiled when a second later the little kitten had walked along the bed and settled on her knee
"so what does he say?" Anna asked growing impatient
"he asks if I will come to the show tonight and he has arranged for us to have the best table in the room with all of our drinks paid for and will I meet him afterwards to talk because he can't get me out of his mind" Ashlyn frowned a little worrying about where this might be going
"What are you going to do?" Anna asked as she noticed the frown on her sisters face
"I guess I'll just have to wait and see" Ashlyn sighed as folded the letter and placed it on her night stand
"Ash you ready?" Aaron called as he stood outside his sister's room waiting for them to emerge
"Yeah hold on" Ashlyn called back as she placed the small kitten in his bed and put out the food and water she had requested before from the hotel
"I still can't believe he got you a cat" Anna squealed a little as she pulled on her jacket and checked herself in the mirror
"Well I did tell him about Thomas and how I had to leave him maybe he thought I would like a new one" Ashlyn shrugged as she grabbed her bag and tickled the little kittens chin
"So have you decided what to call her yet?" Anna asked as they headed for the door
"Yeah I think I like Azure" Ashlyn smiled
"I like it but what does it mean" Anna grinned
"Blue" Ashlyn winked as she pulled open the door and was greeted by an annoyed looking older brother in her door way
"Finally what took you guys so long?" Aaron asked as his sisters joined him in the hallway
"Well we had to make sure we looked the part" Anna giggled as she grabbed her sister's arm and walked down the hallway towards the elevator
"Well in case you forgot I have a gig tonight after Frank performs and I would like you to be there" Aaron pouted as they stepped on to the elevator
"look Aaron it's in the same hall and we are on our way there now and for the first time we will be out front instead of at the side so I guess we will be there to watch you and you need to stop being nervous and just enjoy the show before you have to go on" Ashlyn smiled soothingly at her brother
"Yeah I guess besides how often do we get to see Frank Sinatra perform" he grinned winking at Anna at Ashlyn's blush
The three siblings walked in to the ballroom and were escorted to their seats at a large white table near the stage.
"Well this is nice" Anna smiled as she looked around at everyone else around the room in their fabulous clothes, the show was for a charity working with a children's hospital and the band had been asked to play as many of the children that would be attending loved them but because there was a lot of investors and large donators they had asked that the band alter their set a little to play with a big band instead of their normal rock and roll.
"yeah" Ashlyn sighed as she looked down in to her lap, her heart was beating loudly and she was surprised no one else seemed to be able to hear it, her palms felt clammy and she was struggling to control her breathing, she hadn't felt this nervous since the first time Kenickie had tried to kiss her but now she was sitting here in a huge hall surrounded by some of the most wealthy people in the area and all she was thinking about was the fabulous blue eyes that she had spent so much time studying the night before.
"Ladies and gentlemen I wish to welcome to the stage, Mr Frank Sinatra"
Ashlyn's eyes snapped up as she heard the crowd erupt with applause and the dark haired man strolled on to the stage smiling and waving as he continued to his microphone
"thank you, I would like to perform this number for a certain friend of mine in the audience tonight" He spoke out over the microphone as his piercing blue eyes scanned over her body in the new dress he had sent for her as a gift
She gets too hungry for dinner at eight

Her eyes lit up as she heard the song, she had mentioned how this song always made her smile as her father had said the song sounded like her. Ashlyn's eyes landed on his as he continued to sing smiling brightly at her

She was smiling brightly as she remembered the way her dad had always sang along to the song that the man was now singing to her, his bright eyes shining.
The concert was great with Frank playing all of the songs that the crowd wanted to hear and the girls loving every minute and then when Aaron got up to perform with the band they couldn't of been more proud of him.
"Excuse me miss"
Ashlyn felt a hand touch her shoulder and she turned to see a small man with glasses stood behind her chair
"Yes?" Ashlyn answered cautiously
"Mr Sinatra asked would you please come with me to meet him before he comes out on to the main floor as he might not have the chance to talk to you then" The small man explained
"What about my sister" Ashlyn frowned worried about leaving Anna alone
"Ash its ok I'll go to the dressing rooms and find Aaron" Anna smiled as the two girls got up and followed behind the small man
"Miss your brothers dressing room is down the hall third door if that it where you are going" The small man smiled and pointed towards the door as he looked to Anna
"Oh yeah thanks see you in a bit" Anna grinned as she hurried away towards her brothers room, leaving Ashlyn with the small man and a lot of nerves at seeing Frank again
"Mr Sinatra" The small man called as he knocked on the door
"Come in" the melodic voice called through the door causing Ashlyns heart to jump out of her chest
"go on miss" the small man smiled as he opened the door for her and held it before coaxing her inside
"thank you" Ashlyn whispered shyly as she walked in to the room to find the star sitting on a small sofa in the corner smiling at her as she entered the room
"Ash glad you came" He grinned getting up from the sofa and walking towards her
"well you asked so I came" She murmured suddenly feeling very warm from the flush she could feel on her skin
"I couldn't stop thinking about you all day" Frank smiled as he moved towards her with what she could only describe as a predatory look in his eyes
"thanks but I don't think this is such a good idea" Ashlyn sighed as she felt his arm sneak around her back and pull her towards him
"What's not good about it?" He grinned, she could feel his warm breath on her lips as she looked up towards him but she knew this was wrong even if her body was not reacting the way she wanted it to
"this can't happen Frank, don't get me wrong I like you a lot and you're a great guy and you're so attractive I am literally feeling angry at myself for saying this but you are also married and I don't want to be your bit on the side and I don't want to break up a home so please don't make me in to that girl" Ashlyn whispered trying to control herself
"I would leave her for you" Frank groans his lips brushing hers as she breaths in his heady scent of cigarettes, champagne and cologne
"how many married men say that to young girls and keep them living on the side waiting for the day that happens but it never comes and in the mean time I would be sitting in a condo somewhere waiting for you to visit and living with my cat and the gifts that you will send me to make up for the fact that your somewhere else with your wife and kids" Ashlyn looked up in to his eyes hoping to see the understanding she was waiting for
"It wouldn't be like that I would leave her" Frank groaned again just needing to be closer to this enigmatic young girl
"Well that's not what I want for my life Frank and I don't want to be known as the girl who broke up Frank Sinatra's marriage, and besides you only met me yesterday I am probably so much more trouble then you would like to think I am" Ashlyn smiled sadly at the older man
"I doubt that but if this is going to be goodbye then atleast lets make it a good one" Frank smiled down at the small girl before turning and offering her a glass of champagne from the table
"sure why not" Ashlyn shrugged as she headed towards him
Ashlyns eyes felt heavy and sore as she woke up, she must of left her make up on last night which she doesn't normally do but she had a lot to drink so she must of just climbed in to bed
Ashlyn opened her eyes and sat up quickly when she didn't recognise where she was, her eyes scanning the large suite looking for a clue as to were she was and why she wasn't in her own room
"good morning beautiful" a velvety voice spoke beside her
Ashlyn stopped still, her eyes slowly drifting to the other side of the large bed where she felt someone move
"Frank?" Ashlyn gasped a little stunned as to why she was in bed with him, she remembered going to the bar and drinking and the next thing here she is in bed with Frank Sinatra
"yes you ok?" He grinned at the small girl as she pulled the blankets up over her chest, Ashlyn glanced down a second and realised she wasn't wearing anything, a knot formed in her stomach as she realised what must have happened last night
"yeah am fine I just need to get back Anna will be worried" Ashlyn sighed standing up and puling a sheet with her to cover her as she found her clothes
"you don't have to be so modest Ash I saw all of your glorious body last night" Frank smirked watching her fight with her dress under the sheet
"yeah well that was last night and it really shouldn't have happened and am not sorry it did but you know as I said your married and this can't carry on" Ashlyn sighed as she pulled her dress on and placed her shoes on her feet
"so this is it then" Frank frowned looking the young girl over, her hair had fallen out of its elegant style and was not hanging around her shoulders in waves, her make rubbed off during her sleep leaving her looking more natural and still she looked more beautiful every time he looked at her, he knew she would never agree to be with him the way he wanted but he knew he couldn't just let her go
"yeah I think it is Frank and am sorry I am because your great and I do really like you but this it's just not meant to be" Ashlyn smiled sadly as she pulled her jacket on over her dress
"I wont stop trying you know kid" He grinned as he stood up from the bed walking towards her with a sheet wrapped around his slim waist, his well-defined chest catching her eye
"Well I leave today so I guess you will have to write me a letter" She grinned as he reached out and stroked his thumb along her cheek
"I'll write everyday" He grinned his eyes sparkling with mischief
"Yeah am sure you will, goodbye Frank" Ashlyn sighed as she rose up on her toes and quickly pecked his lips
"Goodbye Ash"
She heard him as she shut the door to his suite, her heart pounding and her eyes stinging, she had come to like him a lot over the past two days and to say goodbye was hard even though she knew her heart belonged to someone else.
"You ok Ash?" Kenickie spoke out suddenly
"What? Oh yeah sorry just in a world of my own" Ashlyn answered as she smiled shyly and continued to drive on listening to her sister telling the full story to Davey in the back seat
"So Ash and Frank became a couple then?" Davey asked as he hung on every word of the story
"not really I mean he was married and Ashlyn would never do that but he did try a few times and he would send her presents and it was him who gave us the cat" Anna grinned
"He sent you a cat" Davey asked looking to Ashlyn who was pulling in to a deserted car park
"Yes he did and she is beautiful" Ashlyn smiled at the younger boy as she climbed out her car and turned towards the back of the car to open the boot
"Wow you guys really know some famous people huh" he grinned as he hopped out of the back of the car and started to unload the picnic stuff
"Yeah I guess we do" Anna shrugged smiling at her sister as she also climbed out of the car helped by Kenickie who was standing beside her door
"So do you keep in touch with him?" Davey asked his eyes full of wonder at what happened after the concert
"well yeah we keep in touch we are good friends but I told him that's all we will ever be I mean I love him to bits don't get me wrong and if things had been different for me and him well maybe but I don't know I don't think I would like to go out with someone as famous as him and besides if he was willing to try and cheat on his wife with me why would be any different if he was in a relationship with me" Ashlyn shrugged as she grabbed the blankets and towels from the trunk
"Hey guys"
All four turned to spot Danny and Sandy pulling up behind them with Frenchy, Doody, Marty and Sonny all squeezed in to the back of the car
"hi guys where's Jan and Putzie?" Anna asked as she looked over the car
"On their way couldn't fit everyone in one car" Danny smirked as he opened his car door
"Yeah looks a little squished in there" Anna giggled as she hugged Marty who had rushed over to her like she hadn't seen her in a year
"You feel better now?" Marty whispered in to the smaller girl's ear
"Yeah am fine let's just have a great day and I'll tell you about it later" Anna smiled
"Hey did you guys know that Ashlyn nearly had an affair with Frank Sinatra?" Davey called out still excited by the news he had received in the car
"Oh yeah she told us a while back" Sandy grinned at the younger boy as she started grabbing the fold up chairs from the trunk of their car
"Come on everyone lets go get set up" Ashlyn called out trying to change the subject away from her private life
The groups settled on to the sand of the beach where Danny and Sandy had met a year ago, it was quiet and beautiful and people didn't really visit this part because it took a while to drive to but the group loved it here.
"Oh this is a great song and she is lovely" Anna smiled as she turned up the volume dial on the transistor radio before smiling over at her older sister
"yeah she was really nice" Ashlyn grinned as the lyrics began to wash over the small group, the leftover food left out on the sand but covered to stop bugs getting in to it, a fire built in the middle of the group keeping them warm as the sun starts to set after a day of sun bathing, food, singing, dancing, playing in the sea and running around playing games.
Kenickies eyes turned from the fire to the small girl sat beside him as he heard her sweet voice start singing along to the beautiful lyrics of the song

Her eyes skimmed over his dark features as she felt the familiar pull towards him, she had listened to this song a million times after he had left and although she had Noah she knew deep down she had never gotten over him, not even when she was on tour with Aaron. She would tell herself that the reason she never allowed herself to become serious with Frank or any other man during that tour was because she didn't want to be involved with someone who was married or famous or someone she wouldn't see all the time because they toured and moved around but really she knew that it wasn't because of that or because of Noah it was because of him.

He turned his eye slightly as he heard a second, slightly higher voice join the song and his heart nearly broke from the pain and sorrow shining in the young girls eyes as she sang through the lyrics. This was the same feelings he was feeling now and he realised that they were what Ashlyn had felt when she saw him with Rizzo, how she had felt when he hurt her and then left.
She smiled slightly at the lyrics, the familiar tune falling from her lips that she had used so many times in a way of dealing with her feelings towards the man who was now sat watching her and Anna harmonise over the song so perfectly, their feelings doing all the work as they sang along.

"Aw thanks Doody you're a charmer" Anna giggled as her eyes darted between her sister and Kenickie, she had seen the way the two had reacted to the song and the way that they had looked at each other, she also noticed that Kenickie always looked ready to commit murder anytime there was a mention of a man being anywhere near Ashlyn. She sat shaking her head gently, why they didn't just give it up and be together she didn't know they both obviously loved each other why couldn't they both see it and just forget everyone else and just be happy.
"I think am going to go for a walk will ya come with us Anna" Ashlyn smiled as she stood up and reached her hand down to her small sister
"Sure I think I could do with a little more exercise after eating all that food" Anna giggled and linked her arm in her sister as the two wandered along the beach towards the cliff edges
"So how you feeling love?" Ashlyn asked as she slipped her hand in to her pocket and pulled out her cigarettes and lighter
"Better, well distracted" Anna shrugged as she watched her sister light the cigarette and start puffing away
"At least that's something" Ashlyn smiled as they reached a large rock and sat down side by side, the sun was nearly set now and the sky was a brilliant pink colour being chased by a deep blue.
"Yeah thanks for today" Anna wrapped her skinny arms around her sisters petite waist as she lay her head down on her sisters shoulder
"You are welcome" Ashlyn smiled as she wrapped her arm around her sister's shoulders and kissed the top of her head lightly
"Have you thought about what you're going to do about Noah and Kenickie?" Anna asked as she sat up to look at her sister who was taking the last drag of her cigarette before flicking the bud away from them
"Yeah I have been thinking about it but the problem is the more I think the harder it becomes. I think I love Kenickie but there is everything that has happened in the past that is holding me back and then I like Noah a lot and he is lovely and kind, special and fun, he is everything a girl could want and yet it's just not the same" Ashlyn sighed as she turned to her sister
"I get you" Anna smiled sadly
The two girls sat in comfortable silence as they listened to the rise and fall of the water on the beach, Anna turned suddenly when she heard a giggle come from behind her
"Did you hear that?" Anna smirked turning to look at her sister who was also looking in the direction of the giggle
"yeah come on lets go look" Ashlyn smiled and stood up grabbing her sisters hand as they rushed around the rock and started to climb up the small rock face that hid the small alcove that was a well-known hook up spot
"It's definitely someone being naughty" Anna smirked as the two girls neared the top of the rock and began to look over the edge to see who it was that had been caught being intimate in such a public place.
"I know those blonde curls anywhere" Anna smirked as she looked over the top of the rocks down at a familiar figure who was straddling someone lying on the sand, this cove was often used for this but no self-respecting girl was ever caught here especially the one that Anna could see now
"Is that?" Ashlyn smirked looking down as the girl giggled below them
"Yes Lucy the chastity queen" Anna giggled quietly covering her mouth to hold in the noise
"I wonder who it is that got in to those iron knickers" Ashlyn grinned as she leaned a little further forward to see who it was the blonde girl was with, however her hand hit a loose rock and it fell down next to the pair startling the girl in to sitting up abruptly causing her dress to fall down and her breasts to be exposed however this is not what caught Ashlyn's eye or stole the breath from her body it was the angry Hazel eyes which glanced up at her and then widened in shock when they spotted who had caught them

Also an interesting Cameo from a very famous person Frank Sinatra, he has always been one of my favorite artists and he released some amazing music in that era so when I was picking songs and I cam across some of his I just thought wouldnt it be interesting if the girls had met him... so there we have it he was in it but dont worry I think a little bit of a celebrity romance will be install for the other sister as well soon enough
